Sorry for the double post. I just have to ask, do all ya chicks really care about the whole boyfriend thing? Like, my whole life, my mum has judged my sis and I on our love lives, or, rather, the lack thereof. She's always comparing us to how she was as a young adult, all the boyfriends she had, all the dates shes been on, all the guys who fawned after her.
I've never had a date, I've never had a boyfriend. I've asked 3 guys out. One was gay, one was suicidal, and one was just a friend who went to homecoming with me, and then was sick the entire time. And now, my closest friends, are guys. My brothers. And she seems obsessed with them either being my boyfriend(s), or with me losing them as friends, because guys friends are only going to prevent me from getting a boyfriend. It drives me insane.
And, really, I don't care about boyfriends anymore. If I find a guy that could be my partner, then so be it. If I don't, then so be it. So, do you all feel the same? The same pressure? Do you just not care, or already have a guy to snuggle with?
Oh, and here's some white text to interest whatever guys may be entering this thread. No, I will not talk about...THAT.... sweatdrop

Do I really care about the whole boyfriend thing... hummm. Well I suppose I wouldn't mind having one at some stage, but right now I don't have time to deal with one. They are high maintenance beings.
My parents didn't really bother dating and found each other through an odd chance. So they don't really pressure me to go out with anyone thankgoodness. Actually dad jokes about sitting outside the house with a gun... at least I think he's joking XD
Generally all my guy friends are heaps older (simply because they guys my age are kind of dull) so it would be totally weirddddddd if I went out with them. *shudders*
So yeah... I guess I don't really care XD I like having eye candy (there is this adorable guy in one of my classes and as long as he doesn't speak it's ok, as soon as he opens his mouth he says stupid things and I facepalm). I just can't be bothered to take it further.
I don't know, I see people with boyfriends and husbands... and it's all sweet... but it's just not for me right now, I'm more interested in spending my time learning and doing crazy stuff with friends then dating.
Now you watch, after saying all that I'll go and fall head over heels for some random guy and I'll have to eat my words XD
Seriously Gab I wouldn't worry about it or let your mom get to you, what happens will happen. You don't need to force yourself to go out with someone just for the sake of dating.

@Gab: My mom used to pressure me a little bit, like "When are you going to meet someone?" but I was already dating Alex at this point and just hadn't told her yet. It was super frustrating not to be able to say "I ALREADY HAVE A BOYFRIEND! SHUT UP! D<"
As for the topic the guys want us to talk about: I think I've already said this before, but I switch between left and right, but I use my right hand more often =P

I'm not really interested in actively looking for a romantic relationship right now. Over the last few years I've been in a couple of (very) shortlived relationships that never got past just talking to each other xD I wouldn't mind a relationship if the right person came along, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.
My dad doesn't pressure me about finding a boyfriend, but he does make the assumption that every time I go out to meet a guy, it must be a date. rolleyes It's stupid, but it could be worse.

Usually with boyfriends it whatever happens. I would flirt and what not but never really actively looked for one.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one not overly-obsessed with the male gender. I just hate the way she pressures me constantly, saying my sis and I are just gonna be nuns or die old maids and such. Its just so frustrating. sweatdrop

I don't know if this has been asked or not, but I want to ask, are y'all comfortable or uncomfortable with your family members seeing you naked/in your underwear?
I personally don't care either way, their family. But of course, anyone outside the family, I'm extremely uncomfortable about the thought of someone seeing me like that. x-x
