"Hank McCoy is one of the teachers at the Institute... he's our doctor amongst other things... I think Jamie mentioned him to you about x-rays," Penny said offhandedly.

"Matt, the chem lab is down at the end of the hall. I want to go set up. See you guys later," Penny waved and scooted down the hallway. She saw the football player she started the fight with at the end of the hallway near the lab. She half expected him to say something incredibly rude to her but he didn't.

"Chayse, you know what happened to the cafeteria?" He yelled acrossed the hall.

She shook her head and stood in the doorway of the chem lab, "Nope, but some chick down that way said godzilla did it."

He and his friends snorted. Guess you have to beat their a** to get any respect around here.

Hank McCoy was in the lab to greet her, "Evelyn, I am glad that you find chemistry so interesting."

"What can I say... I'm a woman of the world. I like learning new things... and it's Penny, sir. I hate when people call me Evelyn," Penny put her books down and found googles and an apron to wear. She pulled her long, raven mane back into a ponytail and took off her jewelry.

Her experiment was nothing more than seeing how certain substances react to mercury. Nothing really challenging about it, but she had never taken chemistry before and thought that something she learned could be useful someday.

OOC: Look. I lit a fire under some arses. Yippie for me.

IC: The day had started as it normally did for Jacen. With a quick bite to eat, a quick shower, and dressing in his all black attire, black jeans, heavy boots, and a shirt that said "If I Threw A Stick Would You Go Away?", Jacen left a tad earlier than he had expected to go to school. He stood there amazed at how quick the school had contractors there to work on the ruined cafeteria.

The day sort of breezed by, with no one really bothering him. Except his homeroom history teacher. Almost as soon as Jacen was recognized as a new student, he was asked by the teacher to introduce himself. Begrudingly, Jacen did just that. It wasn't that he didn't like speaking to a somewhat big group, it's just he felt that these humans and all humans were nothing but cattle being led about blindly. So without hesitating he spoke up.

".......Hi. I'm Jacen Daniels. And I moved here to destroy you all," Jacen said quietly. The entire class gasped in horror and the teacher got an agitated look on his face before Jacen again piped up. "I'm kidding guys. But seriously, you're all doomed."

A smirk creeped over his face as he sat in his second hour computer apps class. It was good to be devilish, or so he thought. As he sat there somewhat daydreaming, he heard a familiar voice coming over the computer speakers.

"Scion...," the voice said in a low tone, "I've hacked into your system and I'm sending you the files that were said to be sent to you."

Alright, thought Scion as he sat there watching the uploading bar patiently.

"Everything you need to know about the enemy is located in these files. Also, there should be a few discs laying nearby. I suggest you backup those files then delete what I've sent off of this system."

Jacen was sure if the person could see or hear him, so all he did was nod in agreement before he saw his contact terminate the connection, leaving only the uploading files. It only took a few more minutes to complete the transfer, and it only took another fifteen to back them all up on disc. "These will prove useful," Jacen thought as he deleted the master files. He'd check them out later when he had the chance. As it was, it was nearly time for the second class hour to be over with.

The bell rang and Jacen slowly walked out of the room towards his locker. He wasn't paying attention to anyone but he did hear another somewhat familiar voice. He turned around to see the blonde girl that was with Wanda the other night and Wanda herself standing around. Without a second thought, Jacen reached into his locker, grabbed the first book he found, and headed towards the area where they were at.

When he found himself standing behind the two, he cleared his throat quietly before speaking up. "Hello Wanda," he said to the young lady he knew, "You're looking as cheerful as ever."

((Okay... this is gonna be short...))

Sierra watched her mother walk out the school doors feeling rather unsettled. They had just gotten through an hour long session with the principal and one of the guidance counselors about her school career. There had been some rather pressing question concerning her mental health, from which Sierra concluded that her relationship with the front office was not going to go very well. Not that she cared.

With a sigh she glanced down at the schedule she had been assigned, then shook her head and started down the hall. Hopefully she'd be able to get through lunch without having a depressive mood swing or a vision of something that happened twenty years ago. Glancing at the classrooms on either side of the hall, she wasn't exactly paying attention and the next thing she knew, CRASH, she had walked into someone.

"Oh crap," she grumbled, having been knocked to the floor. "Five minutes and things are already going sour."

ooc: I'm putting off posting for another day, see if Morgan/SLDM posts anything or not >.<

Sierra looked up in surprise, mainly because she hadn't expected a polite response from the person she'd just walked into.

"Thankyou," she said, taking his extended hand. "Sorry about that, I was looking for my classroom..."

She trailed off, for something about this guy seemed familiar, like she'd seen him somewhere before. In the back of her mind rose up one of those hazy feelings that always heralded one of her postcognitive dazes, clouding her eyesight.

Oh crap! Why now?!

Sierra tried to fight it off, frowning in concentration while dimly aware that her sudden change in expression might trigger unwanted and possibly ill side effects.

Jamie's eyes slid out of focus as he watched the teacher talk. I can't believe anyone can actually be this boring. . . Then Jamie heard the yell. He didn't know if it was because he was kind of touchy to the word, or if he was just looking for something interesting to happen, but he sprang out of his seat and ran out when he heard it.

"GET OUT OF OUR SCHOOL MUTIE!!"

Mutie. Just the word sent him back. He almost slipped because he turned so fast when he left the room, but he managed to stay on his feet, and when he glanced around he heard a bang.

He shook his head to clear it, and then ran down the hall towards where the sound had been, and he saw Penny, Mr. McCoy, and another cluster of students lying or sitting on the ground in front of a bunch of lockers.

"Hey Penny! Are you okay?" He asked, kneeling in front of them. "Oh, and what's going on?" He asked looking at Mr. McCoy.

"We need to get everybody out of here now," McCoy slowly tried to pick himself up. Glass and twisted metal crunched under his hands which were lined with cuts and char marks. Other teachers were starting to stream into the hallway and were pushing student's back into the classrooms.

He was injured as well, but his main concern was anybody else getting hurt. He first whispered to the students from Xavier, "Do not panic or use your abilities today. It will make things worse. I believe I was the target, not any student here."

"Jamie, go get Principle Kelly. Tell him there was an explosion and we will need HazMat because of the chemicals here. Tell him we need an EMS. Matt, please go get the nurse to help the students injured. Penny, are you okay."

She laid on the floor practically motionless. She could feel some glass embedded into her arm, and her shoulder hurt like a mother from where she slammed into the lockers. Still, she didn't move. She wasn't used to her body actually using its healing abilities on anything larger than a cut on her arm from a skiing accident.

"Yea, give me a second," She said, "The other kids need help more."
