 Tempest
Tempest caught the brief look that crossed the younger Pikachu's face upon being aligned with Solaris. It brought a sly smile to her face and her ears twitched in amusement. "He's not much to speak of, but he has his uses..." She stated, knowing Era would know who she spoke of. Then again, uses to Tempest involved Solaris being a shield and/or a battering ram. Depending on the situation. Strolling forward to the railing, the guildmaster Pikachu leaped up to perch upon it and cast her blue gaze upward. "It's always nice to be optimistic, but don't let it seperate you from the reality. Be aware at all times." She turned around, male-styled tail swishing behind her. She use to hate her tail, but now she realized it suited her better than the heart-tipped one that other female Pikachu, like Era, had. "But don't let me ruin your good mood, kid. Just giving advice...hm, you wouldn't happen to know any sage, wise Pokemon? Would you?" Now that she thought about it, she still needed to hunt down an advisor.

Era Era nodded, both in response to Tempest's comment about Solaris and to her warning not to lose touch with reality. She got that comment every now and then, people sometimes found her a bit too flighty and optimistic for their liking. It wasn't as if she tried to be that way, it just was how she was; but Era knew most definitely that it was important to stick to reality, and she found herself drawn into it overwhelmingly as a Team Leader. Knowing that, it must be pretty awful for Guildmaster's like Tempest, to hardly never have a moment to just pause and catch their breath amidst the turmoil that was life. She sympathized with her for that, even if she didn't know the full extent of what the Guildmasters were currently dealing with.
When Tempest asked her about wise Pokemon, Era blinked with surprise; after all, it wasn't everyday that a Guildmaster asked you things like that. "Well..." she began, trying to come up with something satisfactory, "I don't know too many Pokemon you could count as wise, but there's always Tolin and Serrin, they would have to be some of the wisest Pokemon I know." She didn't really know why Tempest was asking, so she didn't take into account that Tolin at least was currently already an Advisor. Era had had a soft spot for the older Scyther ever since they had met during the Secret Santa and, needless to say, it wasn't likely to go away. "I don't get around to visit others much, so I couldn't really help you otherwise," she said a bit sheepishly. Wisdom came with years, and while no small number of Guild members were intelligent, very few of them could be considered wise. "Sorry," she said, feeling more than a little unhelpful, anyone could have given her that answer, and Tempest had most likely heard it before.

 Tempest
The older Pikachu raised her arms in a shrug at he answer. "Awww, Tolin? He's taken. Alfred already called dibs, damn Gardevoir. Not like he'd work anyways, we don't really see eye to eye...I need an advisor I won't be tempted to fight with."Eye to eye meaning, Tempest viewed her options as 'Maim' and 'kill', whereas Tolin's options were 'negotiate' then if that fails 'kill'. The Electric type was far too hot headed for her own good. "You know, you're a pretty smart kid. Shame your in the Guild of the Sun. Roaring Thunder could find a decent use for you..."

Era Era leaned against the rail again as she listened to Tempest and nodded with comprehension as the older Pikachu mentioned an advisor. So that was it, she needed an advisor for her Guild and most all of the people eligible in the Guilds were already in a position of power. "It must be difficult to find someone," she said empathetically, "It's not as easy as it looks to be a Guildmaster, is it?"
At Tempest's compliment, Era smiled with pleasure. "Thanks, I try," she replied, feeling slightly pleased. As for switching Guilds though, that was another matter, causing her to gaze off into the distance pensively. The Guildmaster was right there in front of her, saying that she'd be a good addition to her Guild, but Era wasn't one for hasty decisions if it was, in fact, an invitation. "It was mostly because the Guild of the Sun was the first one I discovered, that I joined it," Era replied to the statement, speaking truthfully, "It was the one that I had heard of when I was younger, so I came and formed a Rescue Team. My partner and I were strangers at first, but now our Team has eight members and is thriving pretty well." She smiled, feeling rather proud of her accomplishments with Ethfael, "It's amazing how fast things change."

 Tempest
"Being guildmaster is the worse! Nothing but stress. Will my guild survive? Will they be okay? What can I do to help? A lot of us go through a mental breakdown phase on occasion. Only upside is I have only my guild to worry about. I'd hate to be Rebirth's. Central command and all that. You have to deal with alllllll the guilds. And Solaris."The Pikachu sighed at that, Alfred was already at his wits end before the accident and she didn't think Lucinda and Tolin would fair much better in the end. They'd have to reserve padded rooms for everyone at this rate. She shook her head and quickly changed the subject, "So, you captain of a rescue team? Snazzy. I remember my rescue team years. Boy, those were the days. I'd trade anything to have them back. My and Banquo, we were always taking missions that were waaayyy out of our league."Tempest gave a short laugh, the mental image of a young Pichu and Electrike running for their lives from an enraged Rhyhorn was hilarious now. It had not been so funny back then...

Era nodded in agreement with Tempest's speech; yes, the trials of being a Guildmaster equaled, and in some cases surpassed the respect and power that came with the position. It was something to perhaps aspire to someday, being a highly ranked Rescue Team, or maybe even getting some type of respected position. Tempest had clearly been with the Guilds for a long time, something a recently evolved Pikachu like herself could not compare with, but that didn't mean she couldn't try. "If you set your sights on the sky," a good friend once told her, "You will find yourself learning how to fly." It had been many years that she'd been following that same Pokemon's advice to follow her dreams, and look where she was now. Finding herself lost in thought, Era was startled when Tempest changed the subject.
"Yes," she agreed once she had managed to pull herself back into the conversation, "It's the most fun to take on a challenge. The more you step outside your comfort zone, the more you learn and the better you become. So long as you don't go too far it usually works out for the better." Era grinned, "Our first mission, my partner and I had to take care of a Pidgeot who was menacing a Ratatta's kids. He was about five times my size but I still jumped on top of him as he flew to bring him down. I did the same thing with that Pidgeot with the amulet," she added somberly, "It worked both times although I quite nearly got myself killed the second time." Era shook her head and shrugged, "Oh well, we all do crazy things, right?"

 Tempest
"Some more than others..." The older Pikachu responded with the slightest trace of a smile. She gripped the edge of her scarf and shifted it around so it didn't rub under her chin. The scarf bothered her for the most part, but it was a gift from a dear friend who-Oh...OH! Of course! Her advisor problem was solved the second she recalled the giver of her scarf. The older Pokemon who'd given her the gift was intelligent. She'd have to look into contacting her. Mood somewhat more uplifting, Tempest scratched lightly at her right ear before responding... "When it starts to feel more like a job than the fun you first viewed it as...then you'll know when it's just gotten real. We all start off with dreams, wanting to explore with our friends, and eventually you come to realize that what your doing isn't just fun and games anymore."Tempest pushed her glasses up before going on. "It's become so much more...you realize that things changed because of you. That you made a difference somewhere. Somehow it feels so much better than a good time." Right now though, the world was slowly spinning out of control and making a difference didn't amount to a thing.

Era sighed wistfully, there was something about the way that Tempest spoke, to make one think that the element of fun should be lost, but the younger Pikachu couldn't help but disagree. "All the same," she replied quietly, "While it is a job and should be viewed as such, if you don't enjoy it than you shouldn't be here." The young Pikachu looked up at Tempest thoughtfully, "It's important to keep in mind that the things that you do are real and will cause other situations to arise, whether for better or for worse, but whenever you work you should enjoy it. A job worth having is one that you look forward to every day. If you can say 'I'm going to change the world today,' and accomplish it with duty and pride then I'd say it's a worthwhile venture." Era looked away again in slight embarrassment at contradicting her superior. "Then again, that's just my opinion..." she murmured, her ear twitching slightly as she looked down to her paws.

Fang"The kid's right, cheer the ******** up."An older female's voice chirped from the roof after Era finished. Upon looking up, the two would find themselves looking at the back of a curled up Raichu, facing away from the both of them. How long she was there wasn't important, now was it? She was an odd Raichu though; her fur mostly dull and yellow and her hair was layered and longer than the common Raichu though it didn't reach below her shoulders. The hair was rather slender, about the width of her bangs that hung over her right eye. Her cheeks didn't hold much of a red shine anymore, and her brown markings were replaced with black ones. It was hard to tell if she was old or just ill, but something about her face kept a young shine... Not that they'd notice until she felt like turning around. Her tail flicked below her fetal positioned body as she yawned. It was long like any other Raichu's, but the lightning bolt was replaced with a radiation trefoil. All aside, she was easily distinguished as a Raichu. She hadn't seen Tempest since she was a Pikachu herself, but the Raichu was always obvious. Her coming was rather odd.

 Tempest
Think of the devil and she shall appear. Tempest smiled and rolled her eyes at the voice. "Fang, you sneaky son-of-a-gun. What are you doing here?" She gave Era a quick nod and then raised her paw to point at the nuclear Raichu. "Era, this is Fang my old mentor. Fang, this is Era. Member of the guild your trespassing in." Not that the Raichu would care, she rarely did. "Anyways, I wasn't saying not to have fun with it. I'm just pointing out that most the time it isn't all fun and games. You catch my drift, kid?"

Era Era turned in surprise at the voice of the newcomer (or had she been there all the time?), startled to find a Raichu, albeit oddly colored, laying on a higher section of the rooftop. Whoever the other Electric mouse was, she seemed to agree with Era at least, which cheered the youngest of the group up a bit. As Tempest introduced them Era smiled amicably and looked up towards the Raichu, "Pleased to meet you," she said politely. She was intrigued by Fang's oddly shaped tail and colors; although it was a common occurance to see Pokemon oddly colored or with unusual body parts, this was only the second Raichu she'd met here. The first of course having been Jasper, and well, she hoped it wasn't wouldn't be like that experience again. Fortunately, this Raichu seemed different than that, so she felt she wouldn't have to worry.
As Tempest clarified her point, Era smiled again, "Yes, I know what you mean." There were some things in life too sweet to be lost, and the joy of exploring and making people's lives better was one of them to Era. Fun and games wasn't all of it, that was for sure, in fact it was sometimes terrifying; but when all was said and done, it was the best feeling in the world to know that the world was a better place to be. It made risking one's life worth it knowing that in doing so you were ensuring the peace for other Pokemon.

FangThe Raichu lazily rolled over and sat up at the edge of the roof before hopping down. She caught herself on all fours with a slight grunt as she hit the ground and stood back up, quickly smiling slightly. "Yes, it's nice to meet you as well." Fang replied to Era without making any sort of eye contact. Her vision was rather on Tempest. "I stopped in." Simply put. "...easily, at that." She turned her head slightly, taking note of her surroundings before locking her lazy gaze back on Tempest. "Why are you so uptight?"

 Tempest
"I'm not uptight anymore." Tempest replied with a plotting smile, the fingers of her paws laced together as she regarded her old friend. "I'm guildmaster now and I'd like you to be my advisor."Regardless of Fang's answer Tempest was going to have the Raichu as her advisor whether she liked it or not. The Pikachu was not the type to allow something as miniscule as the word 'NO' to stop her from getting what she wanted.

FangStill staring down the Pikachu as she spoke, Fang's expression didn't change in the slightest at that word. A request; a demand. She was still for a good few seconds after before sighing. "Why?" Because she knew damn well No wouldn't work. The Raichu scratched the back of her head in slight aggravation before looking at Tempest again. "Given the progress you've made... I guess I can't say no. I'm too old for this; if you push me, I'll take you out." Fang's lazy stare turned into a glare despite her accepting the task. Yeah, she was tired and her body just defeats itself slowly anyway. Fang looked back at Era, she wasn't sure if the approaching conversation was meant for her ears. Then again, she herself was the intruder. Remaining silent, Fang quickly looked back at Tempest. She didn't feel the right to say anything to Era in the end. "What will you do then?"

Era Era looked back and forth between Fang and Tempest, watching their exchange with heightening anxiety. This was something between the older Pikachu and the Raichu, a bystander who wasn't even a member of the Guild of Roaring Thunder, who wasn't even highly ranked in her own Guild, shouldn't be here, should she? Era kept her eyes slightly averted from the two, paws clasped together, standing only a few feet away. She felt Fang's gaze on her and it made her fur prickle unpleasantly as she stood there in embarrassment.
The way that those two were talking, it was almost as if they were willing to spring on each other at any moment, and Era couldn't help but wonder just how stable the situation was. It wasn't her place to be questioning things, but there was a hostile feeling in the air that she didn't like. Well, Tempest wanted the Raichu as her advisor so she must have some idea what she was talking about, right? Era tried to assured herself that she was reading too far into the situation, that there was no need to be panicking, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. "Umm...Maybe I'd better go..." she said very quietly, unable to meet Tempest's or Fang's gaze.
