Adara stood and watched as the students gathered. There were a lot of new faces, but only one of the new SeeDs had shown up so far and she wondered to herself silently if any of the others would decide to come. A lot of new SeeD members toke advantage of the fact that after they passed the exam, they weren't required to attend the classes, especially in the first few weeks. Adara, herself, found that she got bored too easily when she wasn't doing things and she enjoyed the classes so she went anyway.
Finally, she couldn't stand the building heat under her warm coat. With a sigh, dropped her backpack to the ground and stripped the coat off.

Matthias had been late many times before at Trabia Garden, mostly because of his lax nature. But since he transferred to Balamb, he knew he would have to pick up the pace. "monster definition.. monster definition.. crap i'm going to be late for my first class..." he thought to himself. he had asked for directions 3 times, the first two sounded vague and unsure, but the third was clear and accurate. He let out a sigh of relief as he rounded a corner and his classmates came into view. "Finally" he thought. He waived at the group as a whole, and calmly started heading down a small hill towards them.

Yami nodded to Aki in response to her greeting before crouching down at an edge of the dock. His eyes focused on the water as the time passed and more people arrived. He yawned and tilted his head back towards Aki. His lazy, blank stare rested on the woman. "How much longer till we leave, Aki?"
He didn't want to wait anymore. The excitement to feel the refreshing cold air against his skin was building up inside. It was strange for him to be excited for something. Odd. Should he even be excited to return, considering his past? A frown rose from his lips, but he hid it from the view of others by looking back at the water.

Aki looks at her watch; 8:42. "The boat leaves in about fifteen minutes. Why don't we head onto the ship now, and any stragglers can join us onboard," Aki says, picking up her bag and ushering the students forward. She leads them onto the ship and down the corridor. She stops at a wide door and punches in a security code, causing the door to slide open with a hiss. Inside were a couple bunk beds, a large seating area, and a door leading off to a private bathroom. "This is the private SeeD cabin. We'll leave the door unlocked while we're in here, so you can hang out on the deck if you wish," Aki says as she walks into the room.

Torruun rose to his feet as soon as he heard Aki say, 'The boat leaves in fifteen minutes.' Torruun almost immediately began to lean over a railing of the ship and stare out to sea... Torruun began to feel uneasy. Not of Seasickness, but because something was stirring from inside his head.

As he was ushered forward onto the boat deck by the instructor, Matthias did a last minute equipment check. He had been in such a hurry until now, he hadn't had a chance. Luckily, everything was there. Now all that was left to do was kick back and enjoy the trip...

Tia refused to let her slight anxiousness show. Putting on a brave face, she gave a wide smile and boarded. She followed Torruun, hoping it was okay to do so. Mistaking his pale face as nausea, she put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Hey, I used to get sea sick too." she grimaced. "But my mom said the easiest way to not feel sick is to go to the middle of the boat. That way you won't feel the waves so much!"

Ramza followed the others onto the boat. He gazed slowly over the group that had gathered, before slowly walking up onto the deck after Aki had said they were allowed. He stood near the bow of the boat, watching the waters crash and arc away from the boat as it powered through. He breathed in deep of the seasalt air and smiled.

Lee walked onto the boat with one last longing look out across the sea. And for a brief second, her face showed not sadness, grief or even anger, but a look of pure regret. She looked up at the rising sun to keep her eyes from watering and then hurried inside the cabin. She tossed her things onto a top bunk and ducked inside the bathroom to lean against the smooth, cold tiles on the wall.

Aki leaves the cabin and double checks that all the students were on board. Once she takes a headcount, she heads to the Bridge and informs the captain. As she leaves the Bridge, Aki feels the boat's engine roar to life, and looks out a window, seeing the dock disappearing. With a smile, she heads up to the deck and finds a quiet spot alone to sit.

The anxiety of being late for class and trying to fit in washed away with the waves that hit the boat, and as he approached the port side of the ship, they were replaced with sheer excitement of whatever laid ahead.

There was no way that Adara was going to waste this opportunity to be out on the decks, with the wind in her hair and the sea spray crashing against the ship, so she dropped her backpack and her cap in the SeeD cabin and put her thick coat back on. She went out to the deck, intent on heading as close to the bow as she could, and spotted one of the new students standing to the side looking much more relieved than when they'd left.
Still doing up a few of the buttons on her coat, the green-haired youth approached Matthias with a smile, "Nothing like being out on the water, hey?"

Hunter walk out to the deck of the ship as he didn't feel like staying in the SeeD's private cabin as the wind blew through his long black hair as he still had his headband on, He was looking around for Yami so he could talk to him as he hasn't seen him since weapon class but he look around to see some of the cadets talking as he sees Adara going over to talk one of the cadets

Lee slid down the wall, slowly exhaling all of her emotions. The cold tile and floor helped her regain control. She traced the grout in the floor as she forced her emotions back. No! I can't have a meltdown here, or anywhere for that matter! After a few slow breaths she was cofident enough to go back into the main room. But she was afraid her emotions would slither back to the surface and while her seemingly total control of them had just shattered she wasn't going to take that chance. She decided to busy herself by sharpening her knives. She jumped up on her bunk, and took her tools out of her bag. Soon her mind held nothing except for the repetitive movements of her work.

Matthias was in his own world when he was brought back to reality by a voice. He looked up and was surprised to see a girl with green hair looking at him with a smile. She had said something, which he had to replay back in his head for a moment before he could answer. "Huh? Oh yeah.. I never knew boat rides could be this... um.. captivating" he said, embarrassed he had taken so long to answer. "*ahem* What's your name?" he said with a half smile, as he tried to regain his composure.
