"Clothes would be fine, but I was also hoping...." Cindy murmured, "Even though it's been many many years that you might still have some of your eating utensils?"

That at the moment is what she needed the most because she didn't want Vergil to use his sword. It was just wrong on so many levels.

Ruque chuckled. "Sorry, but we can't help you on that score," he apologized. "We never used any until we were older. Even now we hardly use them. Mama makes sure that most of the food she makes is good for finger food."

He looked around. "I don't know what we might have that could help you ... though if you want to speak to Mama, I can get her for you. Papa's out hunting with Ruran, and the girls are out tracking a dragon with Aerin. So it's just me and Mama here now."

Cindy smiled it was nice to know Celebor and Ruran have been getting along so well since Ruran had grown up. He still had his issues but he was a good kid... for the most part.

When his temper wasn't talking.

"I see, well clothes would be good," Cindy murmured, "I hadn't thought about that to be honest."

Vergil was still staring at Ruque, with his black tank top and blue pants. To be honest, he found it a bit ... vulgar. He nudged Cindy to get her attention and murmured up at her, "Would they be clothes like he's wearing?"

Ruque had the keen hearing that was typical of the elves, but he pretended he hadn't heard - though he looked away to hide a smile. He knew his fashion was a little outlandish, even for his family, but that was just the way he liked his clothes.

Cindy smiled a bit, she honestly didn't see anything wrong with Ruque's clothes but then again she had probably heard of or seen worse.

"Probably not," Cindy murmured.

While that wasn't for certain she knew quite a few Seconds where their clothes hadn't changed at all, Lin almost never changed except she made the mistake of letting Helen commandeer her wardrobe.

Vergil couldn't hide the wave of relief that washed over him. "Good," he murmured. He looked down at his own clothes, a very neatly pressed pair of pants and chemise, with his long, almost soldierly overcoat. "I like my clothes," he smiled, looking up at Cindy. "Besides ..." He glanced back at Ruque and then looked back up at Cindy. "He looks cold."

At that, Ruque couldn't help but laugh, but rather than commenting on what Vergil had said, he simply said, "I'll go find Mama for you. I'll be right back."

And with that, he disappeared down a corridor.

"Elves do not get cold easily and besides the weather is good, not until winter you'd have to worry," Cindy couldn't help but laugh.

Ah to be young and say what was on your mind, he maybe old but he was young.

"Maybe I'll make some more in the future, but at the moment this will have to do."

Vergil cheered up a little bit at that. He really did like his style of clothes. They were warm and comfortable, and he liked the colours and cut.

"Why don't they get cold easily though?" he asked curiously. "Are they very hot inside?"

"No... it's just the way they are. Their body adapts to the cold temperatures better than we do."

It was her only explanation for it as for the elves here she suspected it also had to do with their magical natures as well.

"Huh," Vergil grunted. "Weird." He paused thoughtfully. "Though it would be nice to be like that ..."

He wouldn't have to worry so much about changing weather when he went outdoors, which would be really handy, considering it would take him a lot longer than most others to get places, and considering the distance between places here.

"Yes true...."

Cindy had to agree it was a good trait to have.

"But for us we just need to be prepared, though so do they for extreme weather."

Like Winter but that was a long ways off.

"Extreme weather?" Vergil repeated. "Like what?"

The seconds world didn't have extreme weather at all. Sure they might have the odd snow in winter, but it was never anything major; nor were there huge thunderstorms or anything. So he didn't know how extreme it was possible for weather to get.

"Like snowstorms in winter," Cindy explained.

Which reminded her, it was a pity Ulrich and Ulani weren't back yet. She wondered if there were any old toys still around because she was going to need something to keep him busy when they were stuck indoors. Even if it was a long ways off.

"Huh," Vergil grunted again. "Never seen one. Bet there's a lot of snow, huh? How deep does it get?"

"Sometimes," a female voice cut in from the hallway, "as deep as the roof." Niyana entered the room, smiling. "Hello, Cindy. Welcome to Haven, Vergil. I understand you're going to be staying from now on?"

Vergil stared at Niyana and nodded. "You're ... not an elf," he murmured in surprise.

Cindy giggled at that, she supposed that was to be expected so far all he had met were elves.

"No... she is not. This is Niyana."
