((oh great. that means ansley's working with an idiot. this oughta be fun ^^ ))
Ansley looked between everybody around her, which consisted of Lora, Chris, and Alex. It seemed to her nobody wanted to answer her, so she just gave them all one last glance before she left the room, but she did give Chris a nod out of respect. Once out of the room, all the weight of what went through her mind earlier came crashing down on her now. Closing her eyes tight, she tried to hold back the tears as she felt for the wall. Upon finding the wall by the door, she leaned against it and slid down. Pulling her legs up to her, she put her arms around them, holding them tight. She rested her head on her knees and still tried to hold back tears. She finally realized what might be wrong; her mother died around this time of year, and her father was missing.

Alex sighed when he saw everyone leaving. "Hey chris, I'll be right back. Beside, looks like the three of you are getting along quite well." He started to walk out of the room, but stopped and turned towards Lily. "And don't think that I'm leaving because I'm scared of you. I don't want you to get any sort of ego." He gave her a playful, sarcastic wink and walked out. He saw Ansley down the hall curled in a ball. He slowly walked over to her, and cvhrouched down beside her. "Hey, you okay?"
((So when we gonna get the ball rolling? I don't mean to sound whiny, but *Baby voice* I want a mission! LOL. JK. no rush))

Ansley nodded slightly, and sighed. "I'm-I'm fine..." Her voice was shaky, and it cracked. The tears she tried to control burst out and she cried long, silent tears. She had somewhat lied to him, but she didn't exactly want to tell anyone what her problem is just then. She wanted to be able to trust him, and everyone else, but first that trust has to be gained. She did not want to be alone, but she also did not want to look weak, so she resisted grabbing his arm and crying into it, and just remained balled up, but her hand did twitch from the longing she had.

A light bulb clicked on in Zack's head, finally. "Oh, cool. Puzzles. So you like riddles then?" he asked, knowing a few himself.
((Yep, haha.))

"Sure do." James said, taking another sip of his drink. He always enjoyed mind games, puzzles, riddles, all of that. If he was challenged by it, he loved it. Which was probably one reason he was still single: not many women liked that. "Like, uh, here's one of my favourites. I'm always there, until you say my name, and then I disappear. What am I?" he asked.

Zack thought for a second. "Love?" he answered with a chuckle. "Okay, um... Silence." he guessed for real.

James chuckled, waiting for the answer. He sipped his Coke, and nodded. "Silence is the answer." he said, grinning. "Got that one a little faster than I did. I answered about now." he said truthfully, but at the time, he hadn't really been thinking much about it.

Zack chuckled. "Okay, my turn, I bring light to life and death to shadow. I dance in the wind, but too much and away I go. Without me, darkness might just overtake the light. Such a simple thing am I, that I may be used to fight. What am I?" he quoted one of his favorite riddles.

James listened, sipping at his Coke as he thought about the riddle. New one to him, actually. "God? The sun?" he ventured. It was one of those two, he figured.

Zack chuckled. "Maybe I should have your job. No, It's neither. Though closer on the second. Wish to try again, or just know the answer?" he asked, loving that he was actually beating the master at his own game. When you can buy anything in the world, which he used to be able to do, you find the funnest things. Jokes, Riddles, etc... He knew his social skills and ice-breakers.

"I work with breaking codes, not riddles, my friend." James pointed out with a laugh. "Tell me. I'm curious." he requested, taking a sip of his drink.
[Really tiny post. My bad.]

Alex kneeled there while she cried. He understood sorrow with no interference. He had done the same thing with his father, but he couldn't just leave her. He knew that helping someone whoe was sorrowing was the best option. He put a hand on her shoulder. "Shhh....It's okay. Just let it out. When you want, we can talk, but I'm here." He rubbed her shoulder lightly.
((I know the answer Ninja! But I won't say it unless you let me. LOL))

Ansley sighed when he rubbed her shoulder. It felt good; it was the nicest touch she'd ever gotten; most people just stood there or something, but never touched her out of sympathy. Seriously, where did all the love in the world go? She nodded and sniffled. "Mmokay." Letting out a long sigh of relief at the fact he wouldn't leave her, she tried to stop crying. It was difficult, but she could manage. She lifted up her head from her knees and began to wipe away the tears. Soon, she was able to quiet herself down to silent tears. With tears rolling down her face, smearing her make-up, she looked at him and put the opposite hand on his hand. "Thank you," she whispered, and put on a small smile. She probably looked like a hot mess.

Alex smiled. He liked the feel of her hand on his. It helped him know that she was accepting his help. "No problem. I know what it's like to cry about something and want to be alone. I lost my dad when I was young. He and I had been close. My mom taught me that the best thing to do was let it out and then talk about it when you were ready." He left his hand on her shoulder and squeezed. He went into his back pocket with his other hand and pulled out a hankerchief. He held it out to her. "Here. Let's get you cleaned up and then why don't we go talk over a cup of coffee? Sound nice?"
