Everything was a blur. Roy didn't know what was going on anymore. His mother wanted to stand and support the others with her dancing, but he knew she lacked the strength to do so in her current condition. There was a crash and he looked up to see it rain glass shards from when the female raven burst through the window. Fortunately, they were too far away from the center to be afflicted by the downpour. He noticed his little imp companion follow after the Raven, dodging the glass shards with his tiny body.
Then he heard another crash as someone was dropped. He winced slightly, then saw the Raven (she was wearing a mask) chasing after a little girl, and both were being closely followed by Darko, who was trying to go as fast as his little wings could carry him. Rath and the other made an attempt to grab the Laguz, but she vanished with magic. If Roy recalled, Raven laguz couldn't use magic. Maybe there was an exception, but he wasn't sure.
Darko returned to its master, and the young lord slipped the imp back into the pocket moments before Mel ran up to him, asking for the staff. Probably thinking she could heal the guy that took the fall. He sighed, not wanting to be the bearer of bad news. But he had to.
"Sorry Mel...it's just a prop. It's in no way a healing staff. Sorry."
Well...now the party was pretty much over after this tragedy. The girl...Amara was it? She was kidnapped right before her mother's eyes. There were a few minor injuries, and someone in a serious condition by the looks of it. He hoped they would be able to find Amara, but he had no idea where to begin. Maybe the others had an idea.

Bozo had been flying through the air again. Not willingly, but when humie-lady dropped Bozo, Bozo was not ready for it and was helpless as Bozo flew through the air. In the end, Bozo bounced a few times on the floor, with a squealed "Boyo~!" at each bounce, before skidding to a stop near the wall. Bozo was too tired to keep on trying. Bozo did not have enough energy to get away now. Bozo had been scared for too long, that when Bozo was finally free, Bozo didn't feel like getting up and flying again. Instead, Bozo just stopped moving, with quiet sobs every few seconds.
When Bozo was lifted up eventually, Bozo knew Bozo was a goner. But instead of getting thrown into a pot, Bozo was hugged tightly. A tiny humie had picked Bozo up, and Bozo had been carefully enveloped, as if shielded from harm. Bozo finally calmed down, and as Bozo looked up to the tiny humie, Bozo wrapped Bozo's ears around the tiny humie, finally free from the evil clutches of evil humie. Bozo stopped crying, and just rested in the tiny humie's arms.

"AH!!!!!" Melethia yelled. She was for sure it was a real staff. Now she was really trying to think of something. But she kinda also knew there was nothing she could do.
"I think I'm losing it Spitfire." She said.

The servants were cleaning up the tables and the broken shards. As the servants carried the bag of broken shards outside, he quietly walked out of the castle, carrying a small torch to lit his way.
The man walked out of the courtyard and into the streets of Eyris. After walking few blocks from the castle and into the dark alley, he came across a figure in a dark cloak.
"I've found the mask," The man reported. "It was worn by some raven girl."
"Did you get it?"
"No. She escaped with a child as a hostage. Besides, I couldn't get close with all the guards and those guild members."
"Hmm..." The figure in the cloak rubbed the chin. "Then we must report this news to the Baroness."
"Right," The man replied as both he and the figure walked together.
Hours later, the news about the mask were quietly delivered from one spy to another. From one city to another. It would be days till the news reached to Mordache, where Baroness Charolais ruled.

...Was it over?
Ed peered past the table, unable to determine exactly what had happened. She remembered watching the exchange between the blackwing and that Impersian guy she'd encountered a few months ago. And then something about a vanishing bottle, and the guy getting cut, and then the blackwing soaring over their heads. She remembered something hitting her in the back of the knee before she could properly react and she had collapsed almost clumsily with her hands half over her head.
Ed lowered her arms, finding no need to cover her head any longer. She slowly looked up at the table with a sort of innocent dread on her face. Ed glanced at Lance, then at the table, then at the glass shards that were scattered across the floor. She never knew glass could be so dangerous with gravity...
"...F-fast thinking," she stuttered, glad not to have been impaled by a rain of glass. Still, Ed was trying to process what had happened. There was a moment of stillness where their intruder was just gone, cold gales whistling in from the broken window, and the girl glanced back to her newly acquired acquaintance. She had intended on rushing immediately to the Impersian's aid and was about to say something, but another outbreak caused her instinctively to shrink down again.
Oh man, wasn't that Alihi's kid!? Ed's eyes widened as she saw the small redheaded girl dart for the chamber in a vain attempt at securing sanctuary. The raven swept by, neatly snatching her up as nimbly as any vulture, and seemed to hesitate when Rath called the authorities on her. Ed quickly rose to her feet with the intention of running in case she could help. But no, such was not to be: like that vanishing bottle, the raven and Alihi's kid were gone.
Ed stood in silence, bristling nervously. There was no way that kind of sorcery could exist. No law of nature could possibly allow it.
"...She got some accomplice or something who warped her out...?" the girl wondered aloud, her voice hushed in unease. Then Ed watched as the tactician collapsed in a fit of despair. She winced, sympathizing though knowing she would never feel the full impact of that sorrow, and then she remembered the Impersian guy.
Ed nodded back to Lance almost tiredly. "Kinda figures," she remarked in low tones. "Everything's been...mostly dandy so far, but this is the time of Sow-wen we're talking about." Samhain was to be a time of harvest and celebration, a name that she heard only in her family, but it also had a dark and cruel vibe about it. Ed glanced to the main chamber, dizzy from the sudden shift in atmosphere, and she straightened up once it appeared everything was clear.
"I'll be right back," she said. Ed darted over the floors, avoiding the broken glass and headed for the Impersian while nearby partygoers stood about indecisively. She had determined that Alihi had enough friends trying to reassure her, so instead she went for "that one guy". "Hey! Hey!" she exclaimed quietly, running up to the Impersian. "Hey man, you all right? Are you all right?"
Someone was attempting to heal up his wound, it appeared. But she wanted to know if he was feeling weird or anything.

Rath pulled his arms up, and sheathed his blade. If he had been just a few seconds faster... but that was irrelevant. What happened had happened, and dwelling never allowed for any growth, or development. After he gave a deep sigh, he turned to the rest of the room... to find it in shambles. People were running everywhere. This was madness. It made him twitch. What good would running around like this bring? None at all. It was putting him over the top, he was going to explode. "SILEEEEEEEENCE!" A loud yell came roaring from seemingly nowhere, and the voice was nearly unrecognizable. This is probably because nobody had ever heard a yell come from the person who shouted. However, it had gotten their attention, and the crowd had hushed and was looking around, confused about who had yelled. Taking advantage of the obviously temporary peace, Rath ordered the guards who had come to charge at Vika to evacuate all the guests out of the castle, as calmly as possible. The guards quickly began to do so, and guests started to leave the ballroom. He made his way over to a few other guards, and told them to take Ziaram, Abel, and any other people who had been injured to the medical room immediately. There were always healers on call. He then came up to where Alihi and her comforters were, and requested that they stay here with her. He also ordered a pair of guards to watch over them, just in case. After looking around to see that most of guests were out and the rest were on their way out, he turned to the crew who were either standing around, stunned, or doing what they could to help in some way or another. He bowed his head slightly to the Chieftain, then turned to the side, and got the attention of an unoccupied guard. "...Emergency Crew Meeting. Gather them up, and send them to the conference room." He then made his way out of the Ballroom and toward the conference room, himself. He was going to get to the bottom of this some way or another. He wanted answers. But he certainly wasn't going to call the crew himself. ...His throat was sore.
