Kuno smirked, "I can handle 'my love'. Just so long, you get to be called Azzy." He laughed, rubbing his head against hers sweetly. He watched as a fish splashed in the water, causing the reflection of the moon to dance.

Azure nuzzled his neck to show her acceptance. Seeing the fish jump, Azure sprang from Kuno into the water after it. Only after she caught it did she wonder if Kuno even liked fish. Shaking her fur out, she set the fish in front of him. "Fish?" She asked quietly, embarassed of her outburst.

Kuno laughed and nodded. "Anytime, anywhere. I used to eat it all the time in the wild... it was a seldom dinner. What with my dislike of water." He motioned towards it and looked at her, "You eat what you like, Azzy. I'll eat what the chef doesn't want."

Azure smiled. "That's a bit of a contradiction. You ate it all the time, but it was a seldom dinner." Licking his nose, she set to try and split the fish in half, but wasn't very successful. She gave him the bigger half. "Here. I think I swallowed most of it anyway trying to split it." Laying next to Kuno, she munched contently on her fish.

(Hehe. XD Accidental contradiction. I was typing it then went x.x OH YEAH, he doesn't like water. o-o)
"What can I say? I'm a unique moonlit. Contradictions are just a part of me." He winked and nibbled on his half, hoping that if she wanted more she'd take a bite. "Thanks Azzy."

"Is that why I love you so much? You're unique? You're ucute." Quickly working through her half, she noticed Kuno nibbling his. "Not that hungry?"( whee )

"Of course. It's why everyone loves me." Kuno snickered, glancing at her as she rushed to finish hers. "Yeah. I'm just sort of. Feel free to take a few bites of mine." He urged, his tail wagging slowly.

Azure finished her half. '"That fish was pretty big. I'm full. You should bury it for later, or something." She licked her paws clean and lapped a drink from the lake. Looking up at the stars, she said, more to herself than Kuno, "It's beautiful tonight." Looking back at Kuno she smiled. "I used to wish I could fly. I wanted to see a star up close. Bring it home with me."(Whoo, sorry about the delay)

Kuno nodded, but instead forced the fish down his throat. By the time they'd find the fish again, it would be bones. He listened to Azure, understanding how she felt, but in a different way. "I used to want to fly away, but ever since I met you, flying away just doesn't seem necessary. My heart already flutters." He said softly, stepping down next to her and sitting down.

At Kuno's words, Azure felt like her own heart was ready to fly away. Straight to him. "I'm glad you didn't fly away." She said quietly, nuzzling his neck. She looked back at the stars shining above. "As long as you're near, the stars don't look so bright. You out-shine them in my eyes."

Kuno smiled at her, rubbing his maw gently against hers. "I love you, Azure." He whispered, sitting up straight, and curling his tail around her. "I love you far more than you could ever imagine." As he uttered them, he thought about the hatred he'd felt for everyone he had crossed in the wild - unable to trust them enough to love, so went to the extreme of hatred. He killed whoever tried to trick him or prove themselves unworthy of life - sometimes eating them. But then a beautiful female came into his life and something about her made him crash and burn into the world of love.

Azure sighed happily, settling herself into the comfort of his words. "I wish I had a bigger imagination then." Resting her head against Kuno she closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of safety and love his presence gave her, filling the space that an unknown past had left.

Kuno chuckled, pulling himself closer to her. "One day, I want to make our love produce something." he said softly, "I want a family for us. And we'll treat them to everything we didn't have." He decided happily. He wanted to be a father. He wanted to be everything his mother wasn't. He wanted his and Azure's love to create something beautiful.

She had always known she wanted a family, but Azure didn't remember her parents and worried that she wouldn't be good enough, that she wouldn't know what to do when it was needed. Yet when she looked at Kuno, she saw all the strength and resolve that she needed, and she knew. Azure sighed deeply, trying to keep away her emotional tears. "We will, Kuno. One day, we will. But for now-" She smiled softly, placing her tail over his. "-I think we already have something beautiful. More than I expected."

Kuno smiled at Azure, relaxing and placed his head on hers. He was happy to know she wanted to have a family too. His only example would be to do the opposite of his mother. Love, appreciate, and gently pull them along... not the forceful measures that were used on him.
