"Night." Banshi said, although she watched him for a long while. Getting up, she left silently and swiftly, deciding to go speak with Mercy and Hawk.

When Michael woke she was gone...He had expected this so it didn't really phase him much. Groggily, he looked aroud the room and sighed. Maybe I do need a hobby... A few moments later he was up and about, getting into some new clothes and shining his blade. The usual routine. However, when he went to pick out his new clothes he noticed something he hadn't seen before. On his floor was his old typewriter, he had used it in the past to type up all of his files but after a while just started using computers. He picked it up and put it on the desk. A long moment passed with him just looking at it before he finally sat down and set some paper into it. My name is Michael Acconci He typed randomly on the brass keys. The ink ribbon was still good, even after all these years. He continued to type, the noise of the keys echoing though the Cathedral until finally he was done. He took the papers, nailed them to the board above the typewriter, and left the Cathedral. The battered manuscript told his entire story, from the day he awoke to the very moment he opened his eyes this morning. He still didn't know why he wrote it even after he left the Cathedral door.

Mike stood back and smiled at his latest work. It was a new file cabinet, with just enough space for all of his work. Since last night he had been looking into hobbies to pass the time. Carpentry seemed to be something of a natural talent. He happily placed all of his files, which he had retrieved from the castle, into their respective spots and laid back on the bed, content. Maybe next I should get some posters...normal people do that right? Or I could get a pet...like a gerbil or something. What else, maybe paint the walls a different color, buy some candles, stuff like that. He rested for a while and when he woke he rushed over to the typewriter and started hammering away on an idea that had came to him in his sleep.

Banshi kicked the door open, walking in with a large box in her arms. "Hey Michael, I got a few things for you." She smiled, having remembered while she was out trying to clear her mind, about how she bet Michael was taking her joke about getting some hobbies seriously. So... she decided to help him.

He looked up from his typewriter and smiled back. "Is it a gerbil? I don't know why but those fuzzy little creatures appeal to me." As he talked he took the pages he was typing on and put them with the other writing he had done. Neat, he kinda liked having the room clean and tidy.

"Nope, I wouldn't trust ya with a living creature... yet." Banshi winked at him, then, sitting the box down, started taking everything out, saying each item as she did so. "Let's see.... radio, cd player, sketch book, pencils, a few knives, a gun, a fedora, cook book, weapon encyclopedia, camera, stamps, coins, monster sudoku and puzzle book.... oh, and a lot of cds!" Taking out another box, she opened it and started flipping through them. "I didn't know what you liked, so there is classical, celtic, metal, jazz, punk... you get the picture. Oh, and I found a harmonica on sale, and~" Reaching back in the box, she pulled out a bag full of explosives, lighters, and a few cartons of cigs. "I didn't know if you liked blowing stuff up or not, and I figured, well, if things don't go well, you'll probably run out of these within a week." She tossed a carton at him playfully.

"I'm not the one who threw our dog Bernie like a Frisbee." Michael joked as looked over everything in awe. Wow, this will be fun. The very first thing he went for was the hat. Back when he was a kid in the old country, a good fedora was a sign of wealth and power. He had wanted one so badly but never had the money for it. This one is in good condition. Black, nice wide brim, good material. "I love it." He said happily, putting the hat on and looking for a mirror. "Huh...I guess I never bought a mirror...Well, how does it look?"

Banshi raised her hand up to her chin, and acting very thoughtful, shook her head sadly and jokingly said, "Terrible, just terrible." She let her smile out then with a chuckle, and said, "Now I have to get you a mirror."

Mike rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Thanks dear." He went though the rest of the stuff and out it on the desk for later use. The cookbook was one of the most interesting things to him. It had a ton of Italian recipes that he was dying to try. After he flipped though the cookbook, he plugged the Cd player in and went though the many Cds. He settled on one called 'Jazz for a Rainy Day' and put it in. The music was smooth, light. Just what he needed at the moment. "Seriously, thanks love. This should keep me busy for a good while. Speaking of busy, you said you wanted to talk to me about something?"

"Yeah..." Banshi said, her voice slowly growing more serious. "Um, mind if we turn off the music while I tell you?" Banshi liked really some jazz, but now didn't seem like a good time for music to be in the background.

Michael took the cue and hit the power button on the Cd player. "Right, this is about the war isn't it?" He had hoped that this would have been about something else. Hell, anything else. But, this was his life and he couldn't escape it. No matter how hard he tried.

Banshi walked over to his bed, and sat down, placing her hand on the back of her head. "Listen...." Pausing, she let out an audable sigh, and shook her head, smiling sadly. "No, I'll finish speaking with Viktor tomorrow. For now, we should enjoy the first night we have off in a while. Hawk is going to take care of Mercy, they can both rest when all is said and done." Banshi picked up one of the cds she got, this one by Peter Murphy. She said happily, "Besides, it is my job to take care of you guys, which I'll be going in to do tomorrow. I'll get it all figured out, I always do." Taking out the cd, she tossed it over to Michael. "How about that? I was actually singing the song Cuts You Up on my way over here.... it's been years since I've heard any of his songs."

Getting one last day off made Michael happy. Tonight, he could have a somewhat normal life. "Same, last time I heard him was when we lived together. I'd love to hear it again." He popped the Cd in and pressed play. Letting the music wash over him and help him relax. "Hey, random question but..." He started, very timidly. "Do you want to stay here tonight? I could cook us some dinner, maybe borrow a T.V from Father Barzini, watch a few movies. It would be fun."

Banshi was a little bit suprised. "I have not slept in a room for a while.... occasionally, or usually, just with some humans in the village who support us." Thinking it over, it actually sounded nice. Besides, they got to listen to one of her favorite musical artists. Nodding her head, she said, "Sure, thanks." For a leader, Banshi was always very uninvasive and layed back... she was still thinking over what to do, but she didn't have to show that. One of the best uses for words is to hide one's thoughts, after all.

Mike smiled and started out the door. "Great, I'll go get started on that. In the mean while..." He tossed her a stack of papers that was on his desk. "I wrote this for you the other day. It's my story, so you know what my life was like before I met you. Give it a read, maybe you'll learn something." With that being said he rushed off to the kitchen, cookbook in hand, to make their dinner.
