((You changed your name again? Anyway, I''m back, and I'll post something so other people can post.))
((THE PLOT THICKENS!!! MUHAHAHA!! No, really. Something is seriously wrong here.))
<<>At the Condo((Random note: the condo was abandoned once due to a fire, then landslide. Enya found it, fixed it up, and has lived there since.))<>>
She could feel Fin watching, but said nothing more to him. She would not speak, could not speak, could not even open her mouth unless she would scream and not matter what is was, it would burn.
Her sharp eyes flashed as she searched the medicine cabinet. Finding what she was looking for, she brought out a small mortar and pestle and proceeded to mash up the medicine. Then grabbing some honey, she mixed the two together.
She rubbed her head. The headache was gone, but was replaced with a seed of worry. She knew that the helicopters to stop the fire would arrive soon, and Mimik would be found. Ever since the fight between Earth and Air had started, the cover of the Elementals had been blown. Now that she was known, and it was not strange to see media, scientists, and even the military, wanting to turn her into a weapon, hanging around. She would move, but then the two trouble makers would start up again.
She cursed in the language of fire, and flames licked the metal floor. Pausing, she fought to keep her temper under control. Struggling to regain her thoughts, the Fire Elemental finished the thought.
Now that the humans knew who she was, fingers would be pointed at her. Ever little mishap was her fault. For something as big as this, there was no telling what the humans would do.
What stupid beings. They try to defy, to destroy me, and if they suceed the will die. For if one of the Elementals dies, their Element shall disappear. Without me, the sun will lose its glory and there will be no more heat. If Mimik is gone, the humans will find that gravity no longer applies. If Kriss is gone, there will be nothing for them to breathe. If [Water] is gone, the plants will wither and die, the humans would die of thist and hunger. If any Element is gone, so many things will be lost. Why don't they see?She shivered. She had come so close to being a cause of that.
Turning, she left, and in a few minutes arrived at where Mimik lay.
<<>Where Mimik Was<>>
Her amber eyes searched his charred face. Already it had started to heal. Kneeling beside him, she showed him the mixture.
"I will give you this, if you accept it. If you do, you will fall asleep and wake up soon, healed."She hoped he would take it. For a bit of redemption. Exspecially from the past.
She was silent.
Remembering.
Trying not to remember.
She could hear screams and cries. See ashes where there once were things. Feel the air's heat. Smell the strange smell of burnt corpses. Taste the smoke around her.
She closed her eyes, growing still and cold, like a dying ember. A burning branch fell near her, and touching her left hand, the skin blackened.
Enya looked down at the hand, now partially alight, hot, skin peeling, human. She stared.
Something horrible had gone wrong.
<<>The Fire Fighters Arrival<>>
Most of the forest had burned down. The humans had always mistrusted 'Enya', and now could get rid of her.
In their fire-safe suits, the walked amoungst the blackened trees. Suddenly, they saw the Fire Elemental kneeling by a charred body.
"Get away from the man!" One of the humans yelled at the woman.
She turned around, slightly startled. Her eyes widened. Suddenly, she ran through a gap in the men, super fast. They stared after her. Something had been wrong about her.
One of the women whispered,
"Her hand.... Did you see her hand?""Was that really her?" They whispered, forgetting about Mimik and the medicine next to him.
<<>Enya<>>
What is wrong with me? She cried frantically in her mind.
The burnt hand stung with pain. She ran farther, away from the condo, away from Central, away from the deadened forest.
She couldn't be here anymore.
She wasn't Enya anymore.
She couldn't be.
But who was she then?
Run away and NEVER return.
