Mattus slowly stepped into the training hall, looking all around as he turned a full circle getting his bearings. He looke down at a very crinkled and folded piece of paper and sighed.

"Lets see here...this must be the training hall..." Matt had just transferred here and was still getting his bearings. He didn't have any friends yet so figured training would be a good use of his time. He whirled around and pointed down a hallway. "Perfect...fire room that way!" He smirked and clenched his fist. He hadn't used his elemental power in a very long time.

He jogged off down the hall, his gunblade clinking at his side against his left leg. He burst through the door to see a man and a woman training. He calmly leaned against the wall and decided to watch and see what was goin on before interrupting. He cracked his knuckles and then watched.

Matt had zoned out and was now intently exploring the mystery of his hand. His head suddenly jerked up as he heard a female voice call out in his direction. He smirked slightly at the girl and pushed himself up from the wall. He slowly strided towards her while motioning with his hands. "I love a warm greeting..." He reached out his gloved right hand towards her to shake it.

"The name's Mattus Gravis, but most people call me Matt. I just transferred here yesterday." He smiled warmly at her hoping for acceptance.

Seyla quickly pulled her right hand away and awkwardly exchanged it with her left.

"Unless you want to be burned alive, I suggest you not touch my right hand" She warned Matt quietly. Her tone was gravely serious, but she knew that if she wasn't he might not believe her. She paused listening to Kurai's reflections. It was devestating to imagine how bad it could have been. She hadn't even seen any other parts of Ria, except for the parts she passed getting here.

With a smile, Seyla turned her frown upside down. "I'm Seyla, its nice to meet you Matt....sorry if I uh...scared ya there" she added, not wanting to seem like someone she wasn't, or simply stating a b***h.

A Fire elemental huh... Kurai smirked and then threw both of his hands behind his head as he smiled at Seyla. It was quite warm to see the gurl smile, even in her condition now. It was as if showing that all humans should have hope, no matter what they have now. There will always be some light at the end of the dark tunnel.

He then tilted his head a bit to catch Matt's signature on the palm of his hand. This then brought up an idea.

"... then you might know more about controlling flames then me. Being an Elemental yourself instead of just a simple Manipulator..." Kurai said trying to catch Matt eye to eye. Kurai then called out a simple flame to raise up above his fingers. This lighted the dimly light flame manipulation room.

"Maybe you can help Seyla... controlling her flame..."

Matt smiled. "Don't worry Seyla. I know alot about you. In fact I've had my eyes on you for a while." He then paused again and thought how to say what he was trying to say the right way. He then realized how insanely creepy he just sounded and tried to make up. He waved his arms in front of him and shook his head.

"NO, No I mean your skills. You seem to not have them fully under your control. And, I think I can help you with that..."

He was now pacing back and forth with his hands behind his back. He turned and laughed.

"I haven't been all the way truthful with you Seyla. You either Kurai" He waved his hand towards Kurai with out a notice, not even paying attention to him.

"You see...I'm actually Mattus Gravis, principal of Ria High."

He paused for a second waiting for it to set in. And laughed some more.
"Geez I must really look like a kid...I always get mistaken for a student for some reason...maybe i should grow a beard! What do you think!?"

He passionately leapt forward waving his arms as he said this, sending his headphones flying to the floor. He frantically chased after them and retrieved them.

Seyla listened to both of them. Kurai was trying to comfort her to reassure her that this Kid that neither of them knew could teach her better than she could. She wanted to scream but fought against it. That wouldn't be wise as much of her flames were fueled by her emotions.

She sighed. "Fine fine! But promise me you'll stay Kurai!" she pleaded, she hadn't yet heard Matt continue his words but they were sure to be interesting. She turned to listen to what he had to say and at first was taken aback.

"What you've been stalking me! Kurai?!" but then he cut in again explaining herself, and she blushed quickly apologizing for her accusations. But that wasn't the most unbelievable thing of all. No that was yet to come. And she seemed to pale.

This..thi..this KID was the headmaster of Ria high? There was no way? This was the same person who sent the acceptance letter who ran this whole campus. That was simply insane there was no way.

"You've got to be kidding me...I mean...there's no way!" she shouted in denial even though she should have been replying with words of respect.

Kurai rubbed his forehead in still disbelievement. And to top it off. The headmaster himself forgot his own wallet but yet still brought his headphones.

".....Should i entrust this man to teaching you flame arts?" Kurai groaned as he eyed Mattus all funny-like. "... I guess.. I should probably stay with you then Seyla...." Kurai groaned and walked twoards Seyla side as if he was nervous Mattus was going to do something stupid again. And at that momment one gurl swung open the door. This gurl had Goldenrod hair and a bright smile on her face.

"I FOUND HER KRISTEN! I FOUND THAT 'BAKA' MATTUS-SAMA!" She cried out at the top of her lungs. And with that a taller lady walked in with lavender hair and a serious face on.

"Mattus-sama! What are you doing here with students at this time! We have important paper work to fill out!" She firmly said pushing two hands onto her side. These two gurls were the secretiries of Mattus.
