Scar tissue that I wish you saw, Sarcastic mister know it all… Mitsukai’s touch brought Thorne out of his silent pleading. He closed his eyes as her thoughts and memories washed over him, wincing a couple times in empathy---for Thorne could never sympathize someone. The things that he had seen in his short life had prevented him from ever feeling pity or sympathy for others. But, he was empathetic. So much so, that he could feel her emotional pain through the memories that she granted him. He could feel the hurt that she had felt when people called her a freak. The false insults made his hackles rise in her defense. She could never be a freak…not compared to him.
Opening his eyes at her finishing thoughts, Thorne breathed deeply almost sighing. Her kind thoughts calmed him—lulled him into a perfect state of peace. She anchored him so well. Acceptance and understanding were such healing attributes, and Thorne couldn’t help but settle. He could feel the painful thoughts of Lorrie receding. Her presence was fading only a little, but it was fading nonetheless. And, he wondered if it was because of a certain person that the sticky tendrils of the past were minutely releasing him. Thorne gazed back into her eyes appreciating their warmth and beauty as they beseeched back towards the light of happiness. “Thank you.” He breathed not knowing any other way to convey his gratitude and appreciation of her calming presence…of her understanding—and how much those simple things were helping him. But for some reason, a nagging feeling in the back of his mind told him that he did not deserve this.
The hum of her breath against his alerted him of how close they were standing. With her every exhale, Thorne inhaled. He was breathing her air, drinking it in. It was like drowning, but he was kept afloat by her gaze. He didn’t want the moment to end. On impulse, Thorne caught Mitsukai’s hand before she could pull it away. He idly realized this would probably be the only time that he would be able to see her hands as their delicate structure was hidden by her gloves. Ignoring the fact that she could possibly hear every thought running through his mind at that moment, he held it gently in his. He examined it with a child-like curiosity as he ran his free hand over hers tracing the shallow lines and grooves--the phantom sensation of fingertips tickling her skin. It was tiny in his. It could have been a child’s. Her hand was smooth where his was rough. They were delicate—an angel’s hand.
Releasing her hand, letting it slip away with reluctance, Thorne stepped back. He didn’t want to crowd Mitsuaki, or force her into anything. He was loathe to promise anything that he could not keep, and he wasn’t even sure of his feelings at that moment. His past feelings were mixing with the present and he just was not sure. He would let her make the first move—if she even wanted to. But as he watched her moonlit form huddled in his jacket for warmth standing in the place he held most sacred, he couldn’t help but think that it looked…right. “It’s getting late…Angel,” he murmured half-smiling at her nickname that rang with truth and the conversation that it brought to his mind.
His thoughts clamored in comparison to the night that stayed silent. Close your eyes and I'll kiss you 'cause, With the birds I'll share… This lonely view.

MitsukaiMitsukai smiled when he was close to her, she liked it. But she winced when he grabbed her hand. She wasn’t used to that. She looked at him in awe, why? No one ever touched her hands willingly. The only time they ever did, was simply because she grabbed them in order to discover something or steal a power, or they were showing her something, or her showing them something. Yet he wanted to touch her hand. She closed her eyes and felt the sensation, it felt good, foreign but good. She tried her hardest to ignore everything he was thinking as he touched her hands. But she couldn’t control herself. She found herself simply replying mentally to his thoughts, where he could read it. Eh, powers sometimes suck.
When he thought, I don’t deserve this. She thought, everyone deserves someone who understands. And so on so forth. Though the more personal thoughts, ones she should never know, she ignored. When he let go, she pulled back and put her glove back on. “Well, that was different.” She mumbled. She looked up at him, trying not to frown when he stepped back. She liked him being close.
“Yea, I guess it’s getting late.” Mitsukai mumbled. She giggled softly at the nickname; she liked how normal it was. Mitsukai was no where near normal. Her name, it wasn’t normal in America. Her power wasn’t normal. Having a power wasn’t normal. And wearing gloves wasn’t normal. But having an American nickname, it was semi-normal. Mitsukai walked to the passenger side. “Let’s go.” She said softly, not sure if she wanted to go. Mitsukai opened the car door and sat down in the seat, waiting for him to climb in. She was sorting through everything she showed him and everything she saw. Today was a rollercoaster for her, just wait till tomorrow, the first day back to school.

Vincent walked aorung the halls more. He was really confused now. He knew he must be near his dorm. The numbers were getting closer to his. After searching for what felt like an eternity he finally found his room. "Finally" he said aloud. He walked in his room. He noticed he forgot his suitcase. He sighed. He really didn't want to go back to his home to get his stuff. Despite what he thought he opened a portal.
Vincent ended up in his room in his house. He was as quiet as possible but could not find his suitcase. He suddenly knew his mother must have taken it and was waiting for him. He sighed and walked out of his room and saw his mom at the end of the hall. He looked at him as if to say 'You need to be more responsible about these things.' He nodded and went and grabbed his suitsace.
He walked back into his dorm. He unpacked and changed. He dropped onto his bed. He stared at the ceiling. He wondered if he would see Kyuubi and his friends he saw last year when they went to fight against Satori. He hoped he would meet them soon. He soon fell asleep snoring lightly.

Scar tissue that I wish you saw, Sarcastic mister know it all… [[Aww thanks biggrin . You too!]]
She seemed disappointed when he moved away, but Thorne pretended not to notice. It would not do, if one of them did something rash. The leaves rustled quietly with the slight wind as Mitsukai voiced her agreement of the late hour. A light p***k on his thigh was the annoying reminder of the memoir that he had forgotten in his jean’s pocket. A flash of anger passed over his face as he pulled out the offending object. How dare she intrude his moment of peace! These instants were so few and far between that each one was a blessing and here she was mocking him—symbolically of course, but scorning all the same. “One sec,” he muttered to Mitsukai as his fist closed over the irritating thing that ridiculed him as it lay in his hand. It was no wonder he could not move on when he was carrying a piece of her with him everywhere. Damn, his memories. Damn, Lorrie. He would erase her from his life in any way that he could…starting now.
Thorne walked determinedly to the edge. Each step was slow and measured like a predator stalking prey. He stopped just shy of the cliff face, the rain was able to land on him here but he did not notice. He looked at the sheer drop which should have been terrifying, but Thorne was not one to be afraid of mere physical peril. It was the psychological that terrified him. Staring out over the treetops, Thorne was taken hold by strange morbid thoughts. What would happen if he jumped? He would die. Would it hurt? He can not feel physical pain. Would it be like flying? Only for a moment. Would he be free? Who knows. The appalling appeal to jump took hold of him. Thorne had better finish what he started before he unwillingly complied with his thoughts. So, pushing back the outlandish thoughts, Thorne tensed as he brought back his arm, and flung the shark tooth out over the great expanse. It soared creating an arc before falling down towards the artistic autumn trees. It disappeared from view as it landed among the treetops. If anyone tried to search for it now, it would be like searching for a needle in a haystack—utterly impossible.
With those sentiments, Thorne walked back to the car where Mitsukai was undoubtedly waiting for him. He felt strangely light (and considerably wetter), as if a weight had been lifted making him walk faster than he normally would have. Opening the car door and settling in, he felt strangely giddy as he said a quick, “Ready?” Putting the car in reverse, Thorne maneuvered through the path backwards expertly having done it many times before. The rain seemed to be lightening up a bit, but still continued on. They were driving fast, now. Perhaps faster then was wise, but Thorne did notice. He was still trapped in the feeling of dizzy lightness. This weird sense of freedom made his thoughts travel to the future, something that never happened before. “I’ll take you back…” Thorne said glancing at her, “…when it’s sunny so you can see it clearer.” He promised as they drove on speeding through the town.
Arriving at the parking lot for the dorms, the car’s headlights cut through the darkness illuminating the silent machines that waited for their owner’s to claim them in the morning. He parked and shut of the car. The sudden silence seemed to press on him, and he glanced once again at Mitsukai, as he had been doing the whole ride unable to stop himself, and again noticed how she burrowed herself into the cloth. “Keep it,” Thorne said gesturing with a glance at his jacket before she could even think of returning it, “It looks better on you anyways.” He got out of the car ready to turn in so the new day could dawn. Close your eyes and I'll kiss you 'cause, With the birds I'll share… This lonely view.

MitsukaiAs Thorne drove through town, she became transfixed on the speeding trees. It felt as if they were going overly fast, Mitsukai was instantly filled with anxiety. When Mitsukai peered at Thorne, she saw the speed radar thingy, 95mph! Mitsukai looked back to the window and squeezed her eyes shut. Mitsukai was horribly scared by speed. But she didn’t want to dampen Thorne’s good mood with her sudden fear. “I’d love to come here again.” Mitsukai squeaked, showing a little of her fear of speed.
When he stopped Mitsukai sighed with relief. “Are you sure?” Mitsukai asked looking at him, he nodded his head yes. She hadn’t really wanted to claim his jacket. But she liked it a lot. It would be her memory of him, and if she changed her mind, she could always give it back. Mitsukai looked at him and smiled. “Well, see you at breakfast?” Mitsukai mumbled and waved, then headed to her dorm.
When she got to her dorm she took off Thorne’s jacket and put it on her chair. She then changed into black booty shorts and a white v-neck. She then took off her gloves, putting them on her bedside dresser, and hopped on her bed. For awhile Mitsukai looked at her hand that Thorne touched, thinking how it felt to be touched despite her power. After awhile she closed her eyes and fell asleep, dreaming of the long day.

"I should be going then" Kyuubi said to Cassie. Kyuubi walked down the halls, to his dorm. He liked the emptyness of the halls. It was better than how it was at the castle in his dimension. He had been crowded by people, wanting to be trained by him. He hated that. He continued to his room. He walked in and changed into his boxers and laid down on the bed, and was asleep in minutes.

Scar tissue that I wish you saw, Sarcastic mister know it all… [[ok. Thanks for letting me do the honors lol!]]
Thorne bid a goodnight to Mitsukai, before trudging back to his dorm room. He walked along the dimly lit halls aware of his solidarity at this late hour. Nights were so peaceful. Unlocking his room, he plopped on the bed and undressed till he was down to his boxers. He lay back and closed his eyes, mentally exhausted from the day. His mind was blissfully blank for once and he fell into a dreamless sleep.
Thorne blinked to the sudden harsh light of the morning that streamed from his single window. He was lucky the curtain hadn’t been drawn or else he probably would have slept through his classes seeing how he had forgotten to set his alarm. He rubbed his eyes, as he got up and stretched. He had slept deeply and felt well rested despite the early hour. After performing his daily necessities, Thorne changed into a dark green t-shirt and baggy dark-wash jeans. Slipping on his tennis-shoes, Thorne slipped from the room, and headed the cafeteria.
The room was sparsely populated. It seemed a lot of people were having trouble getting up because they had been out late the other night enjoying their last night of freedom. Grabbing a milk and a piece of toast, Thorne wasn’t really a breakfast kind of person. He usually felt sick if he ate too early in the morning. So, picking an empty table, Thorne picked at his toast. It seemed that no one he knew was up yet. Close your eyes and I'll kiss you 'cause, With the birds I'll share… This lonely view.

Kyuubi woke up groggily. He easily solved his groggyness by taking some water making it cold and splashing on his face. He shivered. 'Too cold' he took a warm shower and got dressed. He left his room and walked towards the cafeteria. He heard the some poeple groaning asthey woke up and slowly walked down the halls. He soon made it to the cafeteria and saw Thorne at a table. He got his breakfast. A pancake and some orange juice. He sat down at the end of the table that Thorne sat at.
Vincent woke up. He looked at the clock. He moaned. He wanted to go back to sleep. He knew he couldn't so he did his normal morning routine. He got dressed and followed the rest of the first years who had been here the whole day yesterday. He made it to the cafeteria. He grabbed some waffles, and looked around the room. He saw someone who looked familiar. He quickly walked up to him. "Hey Kyuubi." he said sitting down next to him.
"Hey Vincent" Kyuubi said then looked at him. "When did you get to this school?"
"Last night. My parents were giving me a speach about behaving." Vincent was doing his best to not to blurt out the question 'Would you please help me control my powers'.

Cassie woke up in her bed. "Huh?" She couldn't remember the previous night very well, a bunch of fragments. Had i been drinking? she shook her head. "Ugh..." She got up and took a shower before getting dressed. She was confident her next day would go better than the first. She got her messenger bag on and walked out into the hallway. "Now... where exactly are classes?"

~Jet Brody~
O, it is excellent to have a giant's strength, but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant.
Jet rubbed his forehead as the alarm next to him blared. At his house, he used to just grab the clock and crumble it in his hand, or shoot a jetstream of flames at it to melt it. But he couldn't anymore. Not since he left his parents. He thought of how his dad used to yell at him for constantly breaking the alarm clocks. He hated it, but now it made him smile. He reached over and shut the alarm off.
He slowly arose and showered. He changed into a black t-shirt and some cargo jeans. He left the room and headed through the school. He tried his best to avoid crowded hallways, and took in deep relaxing breaths every time he passed another student. He was headed for a training room that was reserved for him and his trainer.
He walked past the cafeteria and sighed. He desperately wanted to go in. Meet Mika and her friends for lunch. Yeah, that'd be nice. They could get closer and maybe he'd have someone to be friends with. She seemed really nice, but he didn't want to hurt her. He never had much luck with girls before anyways.
He cursed at himself silently and walked off.
The highest proof of virtue is to possess boundless power without abusing it.

MitsukaiMitsukai awoke by the deafening sound of her alarm clock. “SHUT UP!” She yelled at it, and hit the off button. “Stupid good for nothing loud alarm clock.” Mitsukai mumbled, very mad that she was awoken from her dream. Mitsukai hopped in the shower, bathing extra long to awake herself, thank goodness she sat her alarm clock 30 minutes earlier for her shower. Once she was done she walked out and looked through her close. She picked a pair of bright blue skinny jeans, knee high faux leather cowgirl boots, a white tank top, a light and dark blue plaid shirt (left open over her tank top) and a brown faux leather belt to wear around her waist. She then grabbed a faux leather hobo bag to match her boots and belt. She looked in the mirror and smiled at her appearance.
She looked through her stuff to find what she needed for school, giving her hair time to dry some before she did her hair and make up. She grabbed her new Elle magazine and her dELiA*s magazine. She grabbed a few pens and highlighters and a notebook. She then threw all her stuff in her bag. Mitsukai then ran to the bathroom and grabbed her moose, bent over and crunched her curls. It made them look less sloppy and more stylish. When she was done with that she walked to the mirror. She applied some mineral powder on her face and some eyeliner lining her eyes. Once she was done she headed to breakfast.
When Mitsukai got in line she grabbed a bowl of cereal and sat next to Thorne. “Hey.” Mitsukai said smiling and took a bite of her cereal, special K.

Joseph ‘Beep Beep’ went Joseph alarm clock, awaking him from his sleep. “Nice.” He mumbled and walked to the bathroom and washed his face. Joseph then looked through his closet and settled with a pair of Hollister distressed jeans. He then grabbed a white v-neck. “Okay I think I’m ready?” Joseph mumbled and checked his hair. He brushed it and grabbed his DC’s. He walked to the cafeteria and grabbed a breakfast biscuit. He then sat across from Mitsukai. “Hey.” He said to everyone and took a big bite of biscuit. CoryCory rolled awake and walked to the bathroom, taking a fast shower. When he was done he pulled in some black and white plaid skater shorts, a black v-neck, and a pair of skateboarding shoes. He brushed his hair and walked out, heading straight for breakfast. He got himself a breakfast biscuit.
After he got his food he sat down on the other side of Mitsukai, ignoring everyone else’s glares. But Mitsukai looked up at Cory and smiled, so that was all the reinsurance he needed. “You can stop glaring Joseph, me and Mitsukai are deciding to be friends, right babe?” Cory asked, and Mitsukai nodded.

"Hello everyone" Kyuubi greeted them. He turned back to Vincent. "Well my parents didn't have to give me that speach, and they will have the chance to." He muttered the last part to himself. He guessed he should introduce Vincent to the group. He decided not to hoping Vincent would have enough manners to do it himself.
Vincent sat their and ate his food. He looked at the people as they sat down. He didn't know most of them, then again he should not expect to know most of them. He tried to practice his powers by cooling his drink but instead it grew extremely hot. He cursed under his breath. He tried again but it came out of the cup and splashed Kyuubi in the face. "I'm sorry"
Kyuubi sat there with his eyes closed. He got the drink of his face. He put it back in Vincent's cup. He sighed. "Please don't try to do that again. You need more control before you can do anything correctly. I know you didn't get as much training as me but still. You should introduce yourself to everyone here. THey are my friends." Kyuubi whispered the last two sentences.
Vincent knew Kyuubi was right. He looked at everyone. He knew some would be laughing at what he did. "Hey." he said to everyone at the table. "I am Vincent" Vincent was very shy about this but he wanted to make friends as well.

Scar tissue that I wish you saw, Sarcastic mister know it all… Thorne sat at the empty table for several minutes contemplating his piece of toast that sat forlornly on his plate until Kyuubi sat down near him making him look up quickly. Thorne nodded to him in silent greeting, unsure of any topic of conversation to start, but he wasn’t really in the mood to talk. He hated mornings. Some kid, an underclassman, then came and greeted Kyuubi totally disregarding his presence…ouch. ‘Stupid, annoying, freshman.’ Thorne thought as he lifted a single eyebrow in ‘Vincent’s’ direction.
He was saved the responsibility of speaking however when Mitsukai sat next to him. “Hey.” He responded. Her appearance was of course once again very well put together. Thorne did not understand why girls put so much effort into their look. It was nice and all, but Thorne could never imagine taking an hour each morning just to get ready. His outlook on this subject was most likely because of his gender, but Thorne had a feeling that if he was a girl (which he definitely wasn’t) he wouldn’t have the patience to ever put much thought in his appearance.
Thorne regarded his uneaten toast in distaste. He really hated mornings. Everything about them were horrible: waking up, getting ready, eating disgusting foods when he should have been sleeping, knowing that unpleasant school things were coming soon. What he would not give for it to be the weekend already. Thoroughly bored with looking at the crumbling slab of wheat, Thorne turned to Mitsukai who was wholly more interesting than his untouched breakfast. Thorne greeted Joseph as he sat down and just as he was about to enquire about her schedule, Cory sat down on the other side of Mitsukai.
Thorne took this opportunity to glare daggers at him not at all admonished by Cory’s statement and Mitsukai’s confirming nod. He wasn’t going to forget the memories she showed him last night any time soon, and just knowing the emotional turmoil he had put her through was enough for Thorne to want to beat the kid’s brains out. He had rejected her time and again, and yet he had the nerve to sit right next to her and call her ‘babe’. This kid was way out of line as far as he was concerned. He wouldn’t mind giving him a little demonstration of his powers there and then, but knowing Mitsukai was squeamish of his detonating, Thorne forcibly restrained himself by clenching his fists hoping to God he didn’t explode then and there. Taking a claming breath, Thorne pointedly ignored Cory. “So Angel, did you sleep okay after I dropped you off?” Thorne said taking the opportunity to use the nickname, and to imply to Cory subtly that he and Mitsukai were close so he better back off. “Do you know your schedule? What do you have first?” he continued till he was distracted by Vincent’s drink splashing in Kyuubi’s face. Reminded of how his blood did the same thing the day before, Thorne held back a laugh. He might get along with the kid after all. “So, he speaks.” Thorne exclaimed as Vincent finally introduced himself, “I’m Thorne....by the way you’ll get better in time.”He said as an afterthought letting a grin slide its way onto his face. Close your eyes and I'll kiss you 'cause, With the birds I'll share… This lonely view.

MitsukaiMitsukai giggled when the water splashed Kyuubi in the face. She didn’t wanna be mean, but she couldn’t help but to giggle. “Hey, I’m Mitsukai.” She said smiling. She figured, since Thorne liked Angel so much, she’d keep that as just his nickname for her. Mitsukai turned and looked at Thorne. “I slept very well, Thank you.” Mitsukai instantly picked up on the reason he was being so specific, as in shoving it in Cory’s face. Mitsukai held back the urge to laugh. “What about you?” Mitsukai asked and searched through her hobo bag. She then found the sheet of paper with her schedule on it.
“A day: English Four, Advanced Power Control, World Geography, and Art. B day: Algebra Two, Biology, Physical Education, and Advanced Computer Education.” Mitsukai read her schedule, smiling at her last classes of each day; the school gave her those classes that she wanted. “You?” She asked Thorne. Mitsukai took another bit of her Special K, yum, yum, yum. Joseph Joseph smiled at Thorne’s instant dislike for Cory. Joseph and Thorne could get along, maybe they could beat Cory’s a** together. Joseph smiled at the thought. But then Mitsukai glared at him, “Come on! You’re not even touching me!” Joseph complained. “You’re very predictable!” Mitsukai scolded, and drew her attention back to Thorne. ‘Stick your tongue down his throat and shut up.’ Joseph thought. Yea it was a mean thought, but who cares.
“So Cory, is your d**k shoved in your a** today? Because just because Mitsukai and you are getting along, doesn’t mean your welcome here.” Joseph said glaring, he wanted Cory gone. Cory laughed at him comment. ‘Mitsukai invented that comment, she said it to me when we had a fight in 7th grade, try to be original.’ Cory was obviously referring to the d**k up his a** thing. Yea, Joseph totally stole that insult from Mitsukai; she said it to him when they were first years. “Go find some girl and act like the whore you are.” Joseph said and took a bite in his food. ‘Takes one to know one.’ Cory said and took a bite of his food. It took Joseph everything he had to not make a tornado or something break his hip or something.
CoryCory wasn’t surprised by Joseph meanness. Joe had always been mean to Cory, since he was like a big brother to Mitsukai. So he returned Joes comments like it was nothing. He wasn’t leaving the table. No way in hell. He wanted to be friends with Mitsukai, and he wanted to prove he was different. Neither would work if he avoided her. ‘I’m sorry for Joe’s rude behavior.’ Mitsukai apologized to Cory. “Eh, its okay Hun, I expected it.” Cory said and smiled at her, she smiled back Oh and Thorne, he was obviously into Mitsukai. But why do mean towards Cory? Someone must have told dirt about Cory on the side lines. Why was this school so predictable. Oh well, they can be jerks, as if Cory cared.
