Vale leaned up looking at her. "I haven't slept in a long time..." He popped his neck, and returned to the position he had before. "Although I guess you wouldn't know that... any men?" Vale asked.
(Answer can be yes but she's a virgin.)

Reina shook her head "No, i have learned to stray from men. I guess a certain father could be the one to thank for that. Men tie me down to much anyways"

"Guess I deserved that one..." said Vale. "Although I only did what I did because of your mother..." Vale continued. "In truth I think I was the one hit hardest by her death..." said a hint of emotion edging into his voice. Vale leans up and looks you in the eye. "But then there's you... I think that you lost both of your parents that day..." Vale sat ashamed.

Reina tried to ignore the emotion hitting his voice, feeling like she had gone to far. Shrugging as if to shrug it off she looked at him "I can't remember much, I just remember a song and then you holding mother's limp and bloody body in your hands." she had tried to remember more but only screams came to her. It was as if her memory had been blocked and she wasn't allowed to remember. She looked down at the floor "Isn't it about time you told me what happened?" she asked, it had been almost a century since it happened and often found herself waking up to the screams in her head.

Vale glanced up at his daughter. "After this business with Matt is over. Or at least somewhere totally private. Like the castle, and to get there I have to deal with Matt... he put a lock down on the kingdom after I went after Nephilim and wreck part of his area." Vale said. "Do you have anything else to ask me." he proposed quietly.

"That will take while" she muttered to herself before looking at her father "No father, I have nothing more to ask of you. I wish you luck on your journey" she said and started to turn her back to head to her room before looking at him briefly "Oh, and try not to ruin the apartment"

"WAIT! FATHER!" Mercedes called out but he had already left, he hadn't even answered her question. Grumbling, she sat outside and sighed, looking at her missing arm

Vale stood and walked to the door. "Later... stay safe." He said on his way out he closed the door and took a few steps and noticed Mercedes. "Where did Matthew go?" Vale asked.

Reina collapsed on her couch and let out an exhausted sigh "what a day" she muttered
Mercedes looked up at Vale "He just... he left downward" she said, indicating the spot where he had entered the ground which her mechanical arm "Are you going to chase him Vale?"

"No..." Vale said to her sitting down on the ground gesturing for her to join him. "I figure He needs some time to process this information. Losing both you and your mother was a major blow to him. Harder than mine was even and I destroyed one third of the worlds population with the Black Plague in my anger." Vale stated blandly. "But that just goes to show how much he cared for the two of you." He continued. "Looking back..." He chuckles. "Would you believe we were all best friends?" He asked.

Mercedes look at him "Yes, but Reina told me something had happened long ago and it separated us all. Even she hates you at times" she said calmly and shrugged before holding up her mechanical arm, looking it over "She cries for Raine sometimes, your wife. I have seen her cry in her sleep a lot and scream as if something was haunting her but she never wakes, even while she's screaming. It's like something won't release her until she finishes the nightmare" she let out a sigh and looked towards the sky
