Looking at the creature then listening to its words, her body goes a bit rigid. Her rather hostile looks had no effect on him. In fact, they seemed to encourage him.
Startled by Tsurui's embrace from behind, she lost her grip on Shade before settling comfortably into Tsurui's arms. Tilting her chin back to meet his eyes with her own, she smiled, only seeing him. She laughed at his question and reached her arms back to draw in his face. Closing her eyes as his lips met hers she smiled and whispered, "Of course I missed you."
As Tsurui grew embarrassed by the bat's words, she smiled, her cheeks warming along with her heart. Her eyes danced with amusement, for the bat apparently held no restraint upon his tongue.

"Hrm, guess this girl has never encoutered a Death Jester before. I dunno what this schlub told you, but when a Jester allows his own blood to spill on someone, like that nift little hand-print you got there. It's not a sign of affection, more like a sign of love." Shade really did have no restraint on his tongue, but it didn't seem to matter. The tiny bat fluttered about the room, just out of reach to any who would try and catch him. "Oooo. I bet Paranoia will be happy to see me, i haven't snatched that pretty little mask of his in ages!!" Shade was quick to take his leave, off to torment another soul.
Once more were Tsurui and Kittie were left alone. It seemed as though what Shade said had no affect on him, he smiled against her lips as she kissed him sweetly. "Hmph, there was a reason i chased Shade off originally. He was a menace, never knowing when to hold his tongue...though right now, i'm not sure whether or not i should punish him, or reward him." He said with a playful grin.

She smiled at Shade's comment about the print Tsurui left on her shoulder. Ignoring the little thing's departure, she only stared into her lover's eyes.
Her eyes dance and sparkle at Tsurui's words. "Oh, a bit of bluntness isn't so bad to have around every now and then."

"Yea...there's blunt, and then there's Shade. He's a little more than aggrivating. I remember once, one of hte prey i was stalking, and Shade just out right scream. Giving away where we'd been hiding. But...i guess in this case, it wasn't SO bad." he said as he nuzzeled against Kittie's cheek.
Upstairs, Shade had already made his presence known to Suzaku and Paranoia. The little bat had Paranoia's mask in his small claws, and was fluttering around just out of their reach, their yelps and squeals could be heard from downstairs. Tsurui just smiled and laughed softly. "hehe, good. About the he found someone else to torment.
"So i guess, Shade's appearance could be considered a cupid of sorts..." Tsurui just rolled his eyes, and sighed, at his obscenely lame comment. He just shook his head and hugged Kittie happily.

She giggles as she says, "Oh, I can see how he could easily manage to be rated top pest." She smiled feeling Tsurui nuzzling her cheek and nuzzled back. She'd all but forgotten about the presence of her panther, not that Sapphire minded. He was used to his friend becoming distracted and her attention being diverted for hours at a time before she remembered he was there.
Stiffling another bout of giggles at the noises coming from upstairs, she grins at Tsurui. "I don't think Shade was necessary to act as Cupid in this case." Returning the embrace, she smiles as she rests her head upon his shoulder.

Tsurui smiled as he heard the rustle from upstairs, knowing that with Shade around, Suzaku and Paranoia wouldn't be able to bother him or Kittie any longer. He smiled upon hearing her sweet voice.
"I dunno, even as a Jester, i can be pretty oblivious to even the most obvious of things. Like if it hadn't been for one of Shades claws cutting into my face, i probably wouldn't have notice my mask had been torn." He said laughing happily, he heard a loud thump from above them, and could hear the faint evil snicker of Shade. He just sighed and shook his head. "At least we don't have to worry about my siblings anymore, right?"

"Mmmm." She strokes the face of his mask, staring into his eyes with a look of such longing that it touched on a bit of sadness. "I would have liked to see what lies beneath it." She smiles to hear his laughter and adds her own, soft and sweet, though the look remained in her eyes. "No, we have nothing to worry about from them now."

Tsurui smiled and gently took her hand in his, he softly kissed the palm of her hand. "One day, love." He reassured her. As if wanting her to see his face, he'd moved her hand from his lips, to the rim of his mask. Before his mask could even be lifted a great tumble could be heard coming from the stairs.
A body flopped down, and hit the floor with a thud. "Son of a - -" It was Suzaku, and from the looks of things, Shade was having a great time teasing and tormenting. She multiple scratches all over her, and numerous tiny bite marks as well. She sat up and rubbed the back of her head, but upon seeing Tsurui her mood changed. "Hey! Remember what we talked about..." Before he could answer, she was already up the stairs, battling it out with Shade for the remaining DragonsBlood she had horded away.
Tsurui laughed, and looked back at Kittie, her hand lay gently on his cheek. He wasn't quite sure what to say, but he said it anyway. "I'd...like to show you, my face...one day..." He said, his voice filled with unease, and nervousness.

She smiled, hand at the rim of his mask. Snapping her head towards the stairs, she turns to see Suzaku tumble down the stairs looking like a bit of a mess. Looking at the female jester, she wondered the words she aimed at Tsurui. Returning her gaze to his eyes, she looks at him with curiousity.
"And I would love to see it," she replied, her voice filled with warmth. She wished to erase his unease and nervousness. Taking him into her arms, she held him close. Her body exuded a feeling a calm as she brushed her cheek against his.

Getting the cue that Kiani was still interested, she gave a short but silent sigh and took another bite of her meat-cheese-bread combination. "So I don't really know if it was a dream or not, but all I remember is sitting here, in this very spot, just staring at that fire. Next thing I knew, I was standing in a big field. I was in wolf form, and I couldn't move and I couldn't change." She took a quick shot of vodka, took another bite, and while she was chewing continued on, "And there was this woman in front of me, but her back was to me. And I didn't know who it was. So anyway, eventually she turned around, but she wouldn't show her face and then I was pulled to her. Or her to me. I don't really know. But then I realized she was my old mentor, master, and friend from many many years ago who died in a mysterious fire while I was away. She kept telling me to get to her before 'she' does. And I just kept saying, 'Who? Who?' and she told me 'My daughter!' I didn't even know she had a daughter, but before I could even think about that, that demon, the one you saw earlier, appeared, and pulled my friend, (her name is Eolina by the way) towards her, and then gave a deafening shriek... and swallowed her... whole. Then she disappeared and I was completely... I was horrified. Then I woke up, crying uncontrollably."
She sat silently for a moment, letting the story sink into Kiani. Then she stared off blankly towards the fire again. "Usu thinks it was just a dream. I... don't know what to think. I think it was real. But I don't want to take that chance and not do anything and it's actually real, you know?" she sighed, seemingly still trying to contemplate her decision. "But I don't even know where to start."

Tsurui sat happily with Kittie, her arms wrapped affectionatly around him. He wasn't used to feeling so vulnerable, so willing to expose his entire being to her, though something within him held him back. Perhaps it was his survival instinct, or was it that he still didn't trust his heart. Either way, he knew that now was not the time to reveal hmself to her. If he was going to, he'd do it away from the prying eyes of the bar scene, away from those who would use his identity against him.
"Hehe Awww!! Why not show her now. It'll be fun, kinda like unwrapping a gift, but instead of a gift, it's a living person!!" Shade squealed out as he landed on Tsurui's head, grabbing hold of his eyes, and pulling up on the eye lids. Tsurui grit his teeth, trying to fight the urge to beat the small bat senseless, even if he had an affinity for animals, this one was pushing it. "Get him off me...his claws, are digging into my face." He said twitching slightly. He smiled wincing slightly, each time Shade's claws and teeth dug into him. "Little help, love?" He said smiling as sweetly as possible, considering what was latched onto his head.

Shade brought out the sound of bells from her throat as she softly laughed as he spoke his words. Watching him return to the business of harrassing her dearest she frowned but couldn't help the bit of smile that touched the corners of her lips.
With a quick breath of magic twined about her fingers, she concentrates the translucent mix of colors into a blue fog kept floating in the palm of her hand. A glint of mischief creeps into her eyes as she covers the little bat's face with the fog, giving him no choice but to breathe it in. His movements quickly slow then his body goes completely slack. With a ready hand beneath the critter, she catches him and places him quite neatly on a pillow. "There now. That should keep you from performing your mass of impish antics for a bit of a while."
Tracing her fingertips along the sides of the cuts, she kisses the invisible trails she left, her lips warm and soft against the cool surface of his mask.

Kiani looked at Selena a moment more, before nodding her head. "It was real alright" she said, deep in thought, her voice almost sounded like she was just thinking aloud to herself "a demon like that can not be created in a dream." "it was real" she said again. then she looked up at Selena and her eyes seemed to clear and actually see the woman she was talking to "A Fulata" she said nodding "that is what you have had"
((Fulata is a kin created Vashir word that means "vision, or Message to the living" ususally from the not so living))

"Oh...just...you wait....i'll wake up, sometime...but i guess...it's naptime...Goodnight." Shade didn't so much as raise a wing in retaliation, he just yawned deeply, and nodded off to sleep. Tsurui sat wide eyed, as little droplets of blood, dribbled down his face. "Ow, geez. For such a little bat, he sure can hurt, if i didn't know any better, i'd say he was trying to suck out my brain." He said, laughing between breaths.
He raised his own hand, and placed it over Kittie's, as her fingertips traced over his multitude of bites and cuts. "Er..i'll be okay. I hope Shade'll be asleep for a good long time, i dunno how much more blood i can lose to the little pest." He smiled, and nuzzeled his cheek into he palm, rubbing a bit of his own blood on her.
Remembering something, he reached into his pocket, bringing out a set of cards. "Hehe, lemme show you something." He laid out a set of 22 cards face down in front of her. Along with the cards, he brought out a chain with a small pointed crystal at the end. "Here, hold this above the cards." He had a touch of innocence in his voice as he handed her the pendulum. "It's normal for a death jester to carry around a set of tarot cards, to find more insight on our prey. Grim, but effective." He said smiling, a bit more of his blood had dribbled down dropping onto his lap.

Her skin burned a bit from the acid but none of the pain registered. She only smiled, her eyes filled with love and warmth. "He should be out for quite a while," she said as amusement came to fill her eyes as well at the sight of little bat.
Looking at Tsurui curiously, she does as he instructs her. Holding the pendulum above the cards she looks at him with a look that seemed to inquire, "What now?"
