Well Spring Term is almost over (unless it ended already, in that case I'm very late)
A few pages ago we decided who will make the RAs for each House. I'll PM those people now. Also, Lyra pretty much gave us all the information we as mods would need to 'set up' the subforum. I'll open it no later than Saturday for everyone to get their ideas together and start setting up. Depending on how fast and how well the graduates work together will determine when the subforum becomes officially opened.
I'll have to double check and verify with chrome://myqna/skin/tekformat1.gifthe Heads to make sure it's okay but Lyra will be in 'charge' of the process so to speak to make sure the planning and setting up goes smoothly . I also noticed Angil's idea about the End of Term event centering on the subforum opening... I like that idea and I hope we can use it. It's my fault that the subforum is just getting opened for planning, forgive me? But hopefully you guys can work fast so we can plan the End of Term event around that (or using that!)

Hold on the Hogwarts Yearbook btw: in a few weeks the Heads will be starting private projects so to speak and Hogwarts Yearbook was an idea I wanted to do.
Now to respond to everything else after the next fifteen mins of reading.

Town Cup: LOVE it. It will be a great way to keep the graduates involved, especially if we can figure out a way to make it so that everyone in the House can participate to win. I think the Town Cup should be a yearly thing, we can even make it a guild-wide event similar to the Olympics. OOoo that got me brainstorming, but gotta put it on pause to read everything else.
The Museum idea Angil mentioned is in the works as the Guild History thread, although I didn't think about adding when they graduated. I'll probably PM Angil about that soon so that she can help me get a bit of the history together. (SN: Angil you've been gone awhile, you might want to re-read the Entrance Hall which has been greatly updated)
Also Grads become Honorary Members and do not get banned. I think that's the very least we should do since grads (for the most part) spent 7 terms in this guild participating in stuff. So when they get too old for Gaia and stop coming the last thing we'll do is remove them from a guild they played a vital part in helping to grow. That's the most simple idea (and not complicated with the ghosts, etc.) Since the HoHs keep their lists in pretty good order, that does not change the organizational properties of the guild. In fact it shows the members who join months from now that we've had many, many active members. Our current guild membership is 158. We both know that number could be even higher if we didn't have our banning process.
I agree with Avatar and Lyra though about the rest of the ideas. We've already got a plan in the works and I think it's best if we keep on that same path rather than change up this late in the game.
Grads are still able to participate in guild events...that won't ever change. Classes? Why take someone else's lessons when you could create your own?
As for the mayor: that's pretty much what Lyra kinda is now. Basically a person who's there to make sure that things run smoothly. If problems happen they can let the Heads know, but since most of the Heads are grads, that probably won't be . Perhaps we can make some sort of city council? That would be nice.... the x number of grads that are in 'charge' so to speak of that subforum.
Lyra and Avatar pretty much covered everything else.

I haven't had a chance to read what Icee has just said and I will this morning but, I wanted to post this question before I forgot it. What did we ever decided on the whole "knocking" issue?

Icee: -Will you be making a thread/post with all of the guidelines and rules we have come up with (like the aging and shops, etc)? -Also, what is "chrome://myqna/skin/tekformat1.gifthe"? -Like the Olympics idea. -I will be very glad to help make sure everything goes smoothly, and provide any additional information or clarification you may need. -Yearbook: So should we not make a list somewhere of all the grads with their tekteks and the term they graduated? -Ooh, love the city council idea.
Tina: I think we sort of agreed on that a page or so ago, but I'll have to check. EDIT: This is essentially what you wrote: As for knocking it's must when coming into someone else's House. However, if say you sent an owl to that House with an invite to come over to your House and the note should say just knock and come right in, don't wait for us to answer to door. Or you could just Role-play that as soon as you knocked someone in that family answered the door. That way it doesn't slow down the RP.
I think this is a good idea. Are there any votes to the contrary?
[[Might be a good idea to check that the person hasn't RPed that they've just "gone to the shops" though, before you go into their house biggrin ]]

Right, So I have read the entrance hall.
I can definetely help with the guild history, but i do think it should be in Hogsmeade and set up as a museum.
For the town cup, I was brainstorming the ideas of using RAs and shops, but I like the shop idea a lot better, I'm glad everyone seems to agree with that. For it to work we would pick 4 shops as the main shops, and have people sign up to "work there" that way the teams would be even...and I like doing it yearly instead of by term, as there are so few grads right now, but we can work that out better after the forum is better established. I'd very much like to be the one to create the museum thread itself...I know a lot about it's history and icee could fill me in on what i missed?

One more thing, I know that you all decided that BearChoo would get to post the Slytherin RA, but I would really really like to because I'm a really old grad...any possibly way I could convince you to reconsider?

My suggestion is PM Rayne and Icee about it. Maybe you and Rayne could both make the Slytherin RA together or something?
EDIT: In response to something Angilwingz said in the SFQ about RAS having streets. This is what I posted in the SFQ:
As far as RAs having streets, that should probably be discussed in the grads thread. (I'll post this there in a minute.) I think it's an okay idea. Start with one street in each RA for a while, since there are only a few grads. Eventually, when a street has say 6 or so houses, add another street. The only thing I'm worried about it that it's one more restriction, one more guideline. I'm worried we're getting too many of those.
What are everyone's thoughts on RAs having streets and maps?

Honestly we've already had a plan...and I want to see how this plan works out before you guys start changing it up by taking out and adding things. Just because we're setting it up this way doesn't mean it will stay that way forever. Let's just test it out. Once we get the schematics together you guys can decide how to make changes. Remember what I stressed from the beginning: you guys can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't influence/interfere with what happens guildwide. Don't over complicate an initial idea. And Angil you can PM Rayne about that...she's the HoH right now so it's definitely her decision.

That thread will go in the White Tomb....Adonis will create it. I like your idea as to have it set up as a museum but when the idea blossomed again ages ago KT and I decided to go in a "Never to be Forgotten" way...which is why the Tomb is a good fit. It will be stickied there along with the Trophy Room.

Lyra Elizabeth Icee: -Will you be making a thread/post with all of the guidelines and rules we have come up with (like the aging and shops, etc)? -Also, what is "chrome://myqna/skin/tekformat1.gifthe"? -Like the Olympics idea. -I will be very glad to help make sure everything goes smoothly, and provide any additional information or clarification you may need. -Yearbook: So should we not make a list somewhere of all the grads with their tekteks and the term they graduated? -Ooh, love the city council idea.
-Adonis will be making some kind of thread, but he'll only make the first two or three posts as a welcome and brief history about what honorary members and grads are. You guys will be filing in the rest of the thread (like the schematics of the forum). -That was a typo redface -City Council idea is pretty nice...if we can decide how many people we want on it and a mayor as a tie breaker thingy that would be great. We can make sure to put that somewhere in the announcement Adonis will be creating. So there's no confusion: these people will be the overseers of that subforum, but will not have mod powers. (that's not completely directed at you Lyra, it's for everyone to know) -Make a list because that will help greatly with the Guild History thread. If you guys want to make a separate post (not thread) somewhere about the graduates only, then you can do that. -Also Olympics along with the Town Cup both great ideas, but let's get this subforum up first?

@Lyra: Knocking- I never got an official okay on that idea. That's why I was asking. And yes we will have to remember to put"Gone into Town" on the door if we aren't home. Unless, someone wants to sneak in but, that could get confusing to, you never know what spells Wizards/Witches have put on their homes...
@Everyone: As for the main Announcement thread, after Adonis is done, I think that everyone who makes an RA should participate in filling out the rest of the thread. Like when the Mods set up an Event, they tend to do it: Adonis, Icee, Kitty or MLT, b e a r - c h o o (Rayne), Alutian, and Juni. So, I think the 5 of us (the 4 of us making the RA's + whoever is going to be using Adonis) to write the first couple of posts. If you all like this idea, then, we need to discuss who is going to write what such as, aging, housing, and etc. Another one of the posts could be about the 1st Grads (like a Yearbook but, not the exact same, since Icee is doing one secretly.) and we could have tekteks about what we looked like when we Graduated.
City Council: I think that this is a great idea but, again I think that we need to wait until we get the basics up and running first. When everything is up and running we could turn this into an Event too. Running for City Council could be a fun idea and by then we could have a park (that Lyra suggested quite a while ago) and we could hold a debate there and everything. We could even hold it in the Shops, if that owner "endorses" whoever is running.
I think everything else was answered already and it has a good answer to it.
The only thing I can think of to ask is what is Adonis going to say, so that we don't repeat over and over again what your already planning to say. I don't want to make the RA only to have to go back and re-do everything because I missed asking this question now. (I still plan to make the Gryffindor RA, that was just an example of what I meant.)

As far as the streets go, I don't feel it would complicate things, it would just make it interesting for everyone to have an imaginary address and have it listed on the front page of the RA...like if I live in 13 Serpent's Lane. Sure I could just roleplay and say I live there, but wouldn't it be nice to have your address written down like it's more official? Also, I will PM BearChoo/Rayne right now.
