He sat down and took the teapot from the hot pad in the middle of the table and poured himself a cup, "Thank you very much Lady Anabel."
She smiled and nodded, "It was no trouble... I had already made it while waiting for your return."

Vermillion sat down and had a cup as well; "Anabel, once we take care of the garden tomorrow lets go on a little walk through the trees, perhaps you can show me a few places that you like to go to, and just spend a day doing something different then what were both used to."

"I-I suppose..." She replied while stroking the edge of her china tea cup , "But I'll run out of ideas quick... I'm quite boring." Anabel blushed softly and sipped her tea, "What brought on this change? If you don't mind me asking."

"Meh, something different, take you out of the town for a little while away from routine, and maybe spark a little creativity to form. Maybe talk to a few sprites, take a swim in the river, you know stuff that you do to relax that is not the normal things you do to relax. So other then for tending your garden in the morning the theme of the day is doing something different from what your used to doing. I'm sure there is a few ideas we can shake loose as we go along." Vermillion set his cup down; "I think your far from boring, since coming here, I learned how to tend a garden, build proper friendships, and overall care for something besides iron and steel. I haven't had this much fun in years, and it's all because I stayed here to help you. I did something different and I'm rediscovering the fun in things I do as routine because of it."

Anabel smiled, "I'm glad you're having fun.... It is very nice to have you for company... It seems to have brought the neighbors around too..." She looked over to where Kartane was to find a note which read: 'Thank you for the tea, Sorry I had to leave in such a hurry... '
She nodded and looked back at Vermillion, "Well, Let's do what you want to... I've never swam before, so you'll have to teach me."

Vermillion smiled; "You have kinda, when you take a bath your sort of swimming, the water is not as deep as a river or moving, but I'll teach you..." Vermillion looked at the empty place; "Neighbors indeed capable to be silent as a mouse." Vermillion brought his cup and Kartane's to the sink before returning to Anabel's chair; "May i have the honor of escorting you up to your room?"

Rising to her feet she blushed and offered her arm out to him, "... You may." she said as she hid a smile behind the other hand.

Vermillion took her hand and at a comfortable pace he led her to the door of her room where he released her hand with a lavish bow; "This is where I leave you my lady, unless, of course you require my services further."

"Services?" she asked curiously, "And just what services is it you wish to offer me by that last statement Vermillion?" she giggled waiting for his stammering response... "I'm just teasing you... I suppose I should get some sleep... Better be sure to get a lot of energy for all the adventuring we're going to do tomorrow." she sighed as she opened her door and slipped inside, "goodnight..."
Behind closed doors she sunk to her knees and sighed, feeling her heart beat in her throat, "Services..." she muttered to her blushing self. Shaking her head she slipped out of her clothing and slid into bed.

Vermillion thought the blushing was cute, but he walked across the hall into his room. He left the door cracked as usual and laid down in his bed staring at the ceiling.

~The next day~
Anabel woke up just before the sun, and got a majority of her yard work done by early morning.
The vegetables were delivered to Ive's, the watering and weeding done, and she had clipped the grass as well. Anabel walked into the kitchen and began making omelets and toast for breakfast.

Vermillion came walking up the street and set the length of leftover rope beside the steps as before coming inside. "Ya know, i was walking up the street, plenty of great smells in the air, but on this side of town only one that takes the cake. Your baking of bread is unmistakable, and the perfect lure for a hungry stomach."

Anabel blushed softly, "Baking is my passion... You can make so many tasty things... But bread is an all time favorite of mine, and it makes me happy that you enjoy eating it as much as I enjoy cooking it!" she set a fresh loaf on a wooden cutting board in the center of the table, and a knife next to it, "well, I'd say breakfast is ready now... If you're hungry."

"Very hungry, have been walking the river, just to find the right place for swimming, and to make something rather fun. Its a bit cloudy, but I don't think it will rain until later, after were back, and then it shouldn't matter." Vermillion sawed into the loaf, and munched on a piece of bread first.

Anabel sat opposite of him, and took a small serving of scrambled eggs mixed with various vegetables, and began eating, "So, what were you making down by the river... A flotation device for me?" she asked as she set her fork down to take a drink of water.
