Blue turned her attention from the book stuck to her face to see the crowd chewing thier nails in anticipation.
"Is that another feature of the race?" she asked quizzically. Not wanting to be disqualified from this contest (a long word which she understood meant 'thrown out'), she (with the previous dramatic music) turned back to human form so she'd have some nails to chew.
"The distastefulness is part of the competition? Are we measured on how much we chew them?" she mumbled through a mouth full of hand. As two feet are naturally faster than one, she was actually gaining distance (but losing keratin).

Rogi finished his runic spell and sent it off on its way as he continued running towards the end. He was getting closer, and hopefully, this spell would get him the win.

As Areashine was running, she noticed that the area was starting to get dark. It also got a bit more woodsy. Before she knew it, there were tree limbs everywhere, trying to grab at her. It was like some bad cgi horror movie. She dived, ducked, and dodged, but the tree limbs were too much for her. She knew her power would not work on trees...since they had no brain? So she ran back to find another route.

Somehow, Rupel and Kair took a wrong turn into a horridly confusing maze of stairways; stairs going up, stairs going down, left, right, inside-out and upside down and in-between and backwards... and meanwhile, a bunch of little petit-fours had started following Rupel and Kair around, hopping along after them.
Rupel figured she was going to lose a lot of time on this, but she still did her best to run around the stairs and find her way back. She just HAD to make up time if she could.

"Is it a 7 at the top right corner of the second box to the right?"
Blue wondered what these cryptic codes meant. The 'race' was certainly an unusual human event.

After some searching Rooj could not find Kair. Frustrated Rooj continued the race by skipping past the finish line.
"Now to find my sheep."

Justice meeped as she shook off the last of a disco leech army as he got to his feet and scurried quickly. "Nuuu!"

((well, since I've lost the race...im gonna have a little fun))
As Rogi kept running, he noticed someone pass the finish line. At that very moment, a mystical blue light enshrouded him, and a few spaces ahead, he saw the same blue glowing, though he could not tell what was glowing. In a loud, thunderous clap, both lights dispersed and both rogi and the other object disappeared. Moments later, and with another loud clap, Rogi reappeared in his space, but he wasn't Rogi anymore! Now he was some, half-whatever he was and half-sheep monster. "No! I'm a monster!" he exclaimed in frustration, shock, and dismay.

Areashine noticed that the crowd was doing puzzles.
"Geez, you wouldn't think this was a race at all. Where is the action?" she murmurer as she ran.
Just then, a giant werewolf appeared on road. His fur was the color of dusty silver. Large fangs dripped with drool, claws tinted with fresh blood. The beast appeared to tower over Areashine.
"Oh, I don't think so!" Areashine charged ahead towards the werewolf, the werewolf charged back to Areashine. It was as if the two were playing chicken.
At the last moment, Areashine jumped towards a boulder on the side of the road, she was able to gain height, and she jumped again. The next thing the crowd saw was a spinning, round house kick landing right in the face of the werewolf. The silver beast was done and a swish of red hair ran on.

Rupel (and presumably Kair's sheep, if she's still following) found their way out of the insane staircase-maze, coming out almost exactly where they'd gone in, only just a few steps further on.
But... a horrifying sight was right there in the middle of the race track!
It looked like some kind of half-sheep, half-person... monster thing. But also looked almost a little bit like one of the competitors in the race...
Rupel squealed and ran from whatever-it-was, with her petit-four retinue following along and trying to get Kair the sheep-maid to also come with them.
(( just rolling the dice again for the fun of it XD ))

The crowd cheered loudly as Rooj came into first place thus winning the entire tournament
The people began cheering and whooping and hollering
Some of them though watched the remaining racers out of curiosityness

The Rogi-sheep monster, upon hearing the completion of the race, rubbed one of his woolly- fingers on his upper arm, which caused his body to glow. Moment's later, he vanished.
