Voltaire simply takes his tea and holds it in his hands with a small shrug, "I suppose not. I guess I should hope she can make sound judgments when not under my eye..." It was hard to say but it was true.
Annjette looked up thoughtfully, a hand absently moving to play with the babe's hair. "A clapping game of some sort, perhaps. Or a game of chase like we used to play? Though we would have to be careful about how fast we moved in order to give him a chance." Annjette chuckled.

"That's right, ye should. Ye've taught her well, Voltaire, trust that she's grown up right." She sips her tea again.
Oh, I don't know about that, Solas probably has a sporting chance even without us trying. She laughs. Chase would be good, expend some of her brother's boundless energy.
Solas makes a contented 'nurk nurk' noise, reminiscent of his time as a flamingo.

"Think so? Glad y'have bit of confidence in my parenting skills." He chuckled as he finally moved to sip his own tea seeming less frazzled or confused.
Annjette gave a small laugh at both the note and the sound the small boy had made. "Alright then, a game of chase it is." She turned her head enough to look down at Solas, "Want to play a game of chase with us little one?"

"Course I do. Ye're my friend," she says simply with a shrug and a smile.
Chase? What is this chase? He looks up at her, puzzled.
Rojiza giggles and pokes Solas' shoulder so he gets the hint.
Solas, comprehending, squeals and whacks Annjette's shoulder lightly. "TAG YOU IT!" He wiggles down and takes off.

He chuckled, "Good to be your friend then."
Annjette let him wiggle on down and let him run for a distance laughing a bit, "He wastes no time." She glanced at Rojiza wondering if her friend was going to make her chase her as well before she moved to chase after the small exuberant child.

Caroline smiles and sips her tea. "Indeed." She stares at the fire.
Rojiza laughs and takes off as well.

He seemed relaxed now, content. He looked over at Caroline as she stared at the fire and tilted his head. "Mind if I ask you a question?"
Several times Annjette came close to catching the boy only to grasp at the air where he had been formerly occupied. The teen gasped softly for breath slowing for a moment. The exercise was supposed to tire the boy not her!

"Haven't ye already?" asks Caroline with a wry grin. "Course. I'm an open book, luv." She drains her teacup and tilts her head a bit, engaging herself in conversation. She grasps the still-warm empty cup. She'd put more tea in it later.
Rojiza laughs at Annjette and whizzes by her. She'd taught Solas well in the art of tag-you're-it.
Solas laughs, having the time of his life just running around. He trips and falls a few times, uttering a soft "Uf!" as he does, but he's back up again before anyone can come to his aid. Toddlers are rather indestructible if one lets them think so.

He laughed a bit, "A new one." There was a moment of hesitation before he simply shrugged. "I am a little surprised, is all. Here you are a woman of sound voice and mind but you share your life with no man...Not that you need one you are very strong."
Annjette stuck her tongue out at Ro in good fun as the other girl ran past. After regathering herself she began to attempt to catch Solas unawares by running toward at the front instead of behind where he would expect her to be.

Caroline laughs a bit. "Why, are ye interested?" she asks, only half-joking. Immediately she regrets the jest--she isn't normally quite that bawdy. Normally. She blushes a dusky rose in her cheeks and down past her neck. "Oh, I've seen my lot, it's true." She glances over at the children, playing tag at a safe distance away. "I traveled on my own for a year or so before I ran into Valelldia. Paid for me travels by dancin'. And, once in a blue moon, I'd see a lad what caught my fancy." She shrugs now, pouring more tea into her cup and then offering the pot to Voltaire. "And we'd have our fun, aye, but a lass tires of always bein' chased by the lads, ye ken?" She shrugs again, not really knowing where her story is going. "I wondered why I was always runnin'. But then me sweet Ro came along, and I had more important things to see to." She smiles now with a bit of a twinkle in her eye, as she knows her dear friend understands.
And, in the coincidental way that things happen, Solas looks backwards for the Chaser and runs smack into her legs. He's stopped short by the sudden appearance of legs, and sits hard on his bottom. He frowns and looks up to her, looking backwards again to see if maybe she was still back there too? "No fairs," he says, pouting adorably.
Ro wants to cry out for Solas when he was about to run into Annjette's legs. She hitches her skirts and runs over to them, nearly frantic with concern for her brother.

He smirked a bit, "I'm interested because I am curious, I suppose." Then he fell silent as she began to tell him of her past. He tipped his head in a nod as he took the pot and poured himself a fresh cup. "You are a very lovely and fine woman," he said after she had finished. "I am glad, though, you have Rojiza and Solas in your life. Even such a life as that could be harmful to one after a while."
Annjette laughed a bit and knelt down in front of him, "I'm sorry, sweet-one. Can you forgive me?" She offers him a hand of her own glancing up at Rojiza as she runs toward them.

Caroline nods. "Many thanks." She turns the cup round in her hand and then takes a sip. "I do confess I get lonely..." She blushes even more deeply than she had before. "Nevermind. We all do, isolated in our own wagons at night like we are." She smiles up at him. "And what of yerself? Ye're quite the handsome man, it's a surprise indeed ye havenae a retinue of lasses followin' ye 'round."
Solas nods and allows Black Pretties to pick him up. She's a very nice Black Pretties, and Fuzzy Sister likes her too, so she's doubly nice. "You nithe," he comments blithely, seemingly unaware that he's pretty much It now.
Is he alright? Are you alright? Ro writes on her pad for Annjette. She pants slightly.

He laughed a bit, "It does get lonely I agree." He paused at her questioning him and he shifted his shoulders and it almost seemed as if he would refuse to share his own tale with her after she had obliged him with hers. "I suppose, at one point I did, in my old caravan. I had my choice of them and I took it. Then later my father came and picked me up and took me to his home and I had my choices there, too." He laughed lightly. "You'd be surprised at the interest a half-breed with a gypsy-background can spark amongst sheltered pure-blood elven maids."
Annjette picked him up and remained crouched as she again patted his back, "No one is harmed here," she confirmed after seeing the note. "The only thing that might be bruised on the little sweet-heart is his bottom, and I don't think it will be he didn't land too hard."

Caroline smiles, eyes twinkling again. "I'd like t'hear more of your story," she says. "And in return I'd certainly tell ye more of mine, should ye care to hear't." She takes a sip of tea. That blush isn't going away, she notes to herself with a little bit of panic. What?
Ro nods and kisses Solas' cheek. She smiles as she notes her brother starting to settle down--looks like their game had worked after all.
Nothing thrills Solas more than kisses. Except maybe shiny things. Oh, and books! He giggles and gives Fuzzy Sister a kiss back on her nose, nearly careening out of Annjette's arms as he leans over to do so.

"If you have the time I am more than happy to share with you." He didn't seem outwardly amused at her blushed as he was inwardly where he kept it firmly not wanting further her dismay. "Though I wouldn't want to keep you up too late.."
Annjette gave a small gasp as she just barely kept her hold on the little boy, she obliged him by moving closer so that he can easily reach his sister for a kiss. "He certainly seems to enjoy kisses."
