Auron nodded every so slightly as much as the spell would allow, I myself was accompanying Andrea after my friend Raziel and I found her and assisted her in disposing of a large Snake creature I believe she called a Gadmir, and then also defended her against a drunken dragon. It wasn't too long after that we encountered the rest of these people including Eric, and the draconic shifter. They argued, then fought, then Raziel stayed behind to combat the shifter as I ran after Eric who was helping the ladies to escape. Then the shifter returned, then ran off with Eric, and this other beast showed up, I was helping to defend as she picked a fight with Andrea and Raziel showed up pretty pissed off, and you came a little while after. Not a moment too soon I might add, I've never seen white magic quite this powerful before." He smiled with that last line showing his appreciation for Illusor's talents.

Illusor nodded to Auron as the older man finished his tale, and smiled at the compliment, "Magic Users in general are more powerful here on Matri, I have practiced for a long time to learn what I know, but I would not say I am all that exceptional." He chuckled warmly before moving off to greet the next battle participant. He approached Andrea in what could only be described as a freindly non-threatening manner. "Milady, would you care to relate your tale? I am ready and willing to listen to what you might like to contribute." And he folded his arms contently as he listened with interest.

Andrea paused and considered the question, she looked as if she tried to shrug, not remembering the spell that had frozen her body. "Well, I was out, tracking a bounty gadmir in the area, I met those two offworlders" She added pointing to Auron and where Raziel had stood "after I brought it down, they helped me carry it...then we ran into a feral dragon, and I did NOT need to be defended, we all fought it together until the Feral's mate showed up and took him off our hands...Then a drunk guy named Drakian I know showed up. He helped carry stuff too, for awhile. Then we met the infamous Beast of Fury over there, she flirted outrageously with Drake for awhile, then Vek and Drake got into an argument. Vek said something about Drake's ex girlfriend or something and he went half nuts....he was just calming down from that when another gadmir attacked us, and he went completely beserk, Dragonrage and all. Raziel fought Drake while the rest of us booked it outta there. Firi decided to play with us, and dropped the feral Drake on our heads. Drake chased Vek and they left. Then the fiery furrball started to pick on Violet and I stuck up for her and she decided to try pawing at me and then Auron jumped in and then Raziel showed up, and such."

"Well someone's never been to grammar school." Firalina muttered under her breath in response to Andrea's long-winded run-on sentence. It had been just quiet enough that the Kaijin girl could not have heard it, but left her manner so smug that Andrea would have no trouble telling something had been muttered at her expense.

Illusor took the time to thank Andrea for her contribution, "You have been most helpful," He assured her before turning to the beast of Fury. "You were warned not to comment," He informed her in a tone that brooked no argument, "I do not like to repeat myself." He walked over to the immobile woman and stared her down for a few moments, "I will let this transgression pass this one time, only to permit you to add your say. I will warn you that I have no desire to hear your 'oppinions' merely the facts as you saw them." It was easy to tell by his stance and tone that Firi had crossed the line by flaunting herself in the face of his threat.

"But of course, Milord Mage." Firalina purred. "I awakened earlier today after one of my frequent blackouts, I'm afraid I've little self-control, and came across the offworlder Violet and her companion...the boy who was chased off by his Dragonrage-afflicted brother," metnioning Drakian Firalina gave a small pitying sigh. "'tis such an affliction to have no control over one's actions. In any case, I was ever so slightly curious as to why so many offworlders had appeared at one time, and after they fled the undead man and poor beserk Drakian, I merely stated that offworlders have no place on Matri. They simply do not belong here. Lady Andrea then threatened me, something I cannot, in good conscience, permit. Then she and the two other warriors also engaged in attacking me."

Andrea was nearly sputtering with rage but managed to have enough restraint to keep silent. stressed That biased, egotistical, seducive, vixen! Every word she speaks is like a slap in the face!!!! I've never known anyone so full of themself, and she expects all of us to admire her as much as she does!!

By the time Firalina had finished speaking, Illusor's face had become a blank mask. He sighed heavily and was silent for several moments as he thought to himself. Then he turned around to face all of those who were present. "I have reviewed what was said, and what was not... I have not yet spoken to this "Erevek or Eric, nor have I confronted Drakian, that will have to wait. But I can come to a specific conclusion from what I have learned. All of the evidence here indicates a lack of decorum, self control, and maturity on the Immortal Beast of Misery, Firalina's part." He turned to Auron, "From what I gathered you were merely trying to protect and assist those who were weaker than yourself, an aspect which earns you my respect and trust." The healer then waved one hand in the Warrior's direction, and Auron found himself fully mobile once again. "and with that trust I believe you will not attempt to reinstigate this conflict." He turned to Violet, and smiled, "An honest young woman, who although she was confused and lost made her best attempt to help her comrads." Another wave and Violet was no longer confined either, His gaze turned then to Andrea, and he sighed tolerantly. "Perhaps too quick to anger, and take offense, and a little to hurried to pick a fight, but I do not see any guilt which lies with you, You defended what freindship you had found with honor,...but I will warn you that I will not tolerate you attacking the Beast of Fury after I release you." With those words and a gesture she too was released. All three of them felt renewed, as if the battle had never happened and they had slept and eaten.

Illusor turned finally to Firalina, pausing to consider long and hard over her verdict. "It is not your decision to make Lady Firalina, whether off-worlders are welcome or not. It has always been the Matritian policy to welcome and assist those who came here, whether it was their decision or not. Especially considering that the vast majority of off-worlders are brought here by a certain Native. It seems to me that you were looking for a fight. And the fact that you endangered innocents by bringing the dragon-raged Drakian here is a heavy crime." He paused once again as he slipped into his own thoughts. "I cannot punish you as is proper for the injustices you have commited, but I think I can come up with an equally permissable solution." And with that said, he whispered something none of the others could comprehend, and Feralina suddenly found herself Completely human. Her other abilities had been locked away. She had no claws, tail, furry ears or any of the other inhuman aspects which had defined her. And although she was still immortal, she could not heal at her own whim but she could now move again. Illusor's smile was sad, as he watched her adjust to her new state. "It pains me to do this, but I see no other way to teach you your error. I shall be keeping tabs on you for a time, to ensure that neither you or the others fall into danger due to my interferance." He explained with a pitying smile. He turned and walked towards Auron, and murmered under his breath to the Soldier, "And perhaps we should keep an eye out for your mysterious freind, as he will still be paralyzed when he reenters our physical plane."

Andrea seemed a little embarrased by how aptly the healer had described her. She made no move to attack Firalina and grinned broadly when she saw the look across the Beast of Fury's face as her punishment was put into effect.

OOC:Geh...braindead...got to see a speacial screening of Chronicles of Narnia last night but now I"m fried....

Firalina seemed confused by Illusor's words, and almost terrified when she realized the import of his words and the sensation as they took effect. Then she Shook her head and sniffed disdainfully. She made no move to speak to anyone, and stayed near the edge of the group. Her behavior was rather like a spoiled teenager being sentenced to a grounding. She didn't like it, and knew it would be enforced, but she would do her best to find a way out of it. All she needed was a bit of time to formulate a method.

Violet let the description slide as she massaged her arm. For now. She couldn't deny that she did feel a little lost, but then, she was out of her element. Besides, what did he mean by comrades? She was attempting to retrieve her dagger. That was all.

She looked upwards wonderingly. It didn't matter to her that the Beast of Fury was condemned to take upon a human appearance until further notice. In fact, she didn't know what was so bad about it in the first place. Rather, she was more intent on seeking out "Eric". There was nothing she could do, but at least it would be comforting to know he wasn't already trampled to death somewhere amongst the trees.

Auron nodded to Illusor, "Well now that we've got things settled a little bit I suggest we head out and look for this Eric person." He turned to the now human beast of fury, "Presumably you'll be coming with us so we can keep an eye on you now your maliciousness?" His grin was respectful but humored at the same time.

Very suddenly before the two of them could continue their fight, Erevek and Drakian found themselves frozen in an almost identical spell to that which Illusor had used on his friends. Behind Vek two people entered the room, one was the regent Fubrant, the other was his personal gaurd. A feirce warrior and spellcaster who realized the instant he'd cast the spell that Vek in particular could probably break out of the containment fairly easily, while the other was far to crazed by his dragon rage to do anything of the kind. Fubrant spoke, his voice echoing loudly across the chamber, "Who are you and how dare you tresspass in this castle!"

OOC: I'd post but I'm not sure If I can do anything meaninful...Drakian's still ballistic, Firi's in a huff and is pointedly ignoring everybody, and Andrea isn't so petty as to taunt Firi while she's down.

She gave a wondering glance at Illusor. Could he do that? Could he really? Inwardly, she shrugged. He'd already proved to be able to do much. She'd nevere seen a wielder of magic before, although her guardian had told her a few tales about them. They were much help when allied, and amongst the most dangerous of enemies when angered.

She returned her gaze skywards and lifted a hand.

"Up."

Vek found himself forcibly halted, and after a breif moment of terror realized his brother was also immobilized, He sighed with relief. Then he mentally assessed the rather annoying and certainly inconvinient spell he was now contained with. It was rather simple actually, he realized with some disapointment, and with a few muttered syllables he countered the spell, turning to face his would-be confiners. "Trespass? In case you hadn't noticed I was dealing with an enraged creature! The laws clearly state that when a warrior or sorcerer of any kind is battling a frenzied monster they are free to pass through wherever their battle takes them! I have trespassed nowhere! Who are you that you do not even know this?" He snarled, tapping the sword he still held against his forearm.

((Ah the holidays, how they manage to eat away your free time....))

Illusor seemed not to notice the disgruntled or smug comments delivered by the various members of the party to the unfortunate Feralina, instead he turned towards Violet, "Up? is that the direction this Eric has traveled?" He smiled, and glancing in said direction seemed to assess the sky. "Strange as it may sound, that actually makes him far easier to track. Magic flows more smoothly and cleanly in the air than it does through the ground." Having given this breif explaination, he surveyed the imediate area, outlining a small circle by pacing it's legth while muttering softly, He then pulled a small bag from within his robe, sprinkling a strange white powder across the grass within the circle, and then turned to Andrea and Violet. "I would like the both of you, who seem to be personally familiar with this 'Eric' to stand in front of this circle and say his name. Do not step INTO the circle mind you, and say his name as you a most familiar with it, and in it's entirity as you know it." the Healer said with a smile, gesturing the two into place. "This will help my air elemental to know whom he is seeking."
PostPosted: Wed Jan 04, 2006 9:37 pm

Personally, Violet couldn't see how it sounded strange. In the sky you may see clearly most of what occurs above you as well as in the skies. To seek a bird in flight, it would certainly be easier for a hunter to be at the same level, rather than continually looking skywards, eyesight hindered by trees.

Violet was willing to help, but her survival instincts were not. What would happen? Was she personally familar with Eric? She'd known him how long? Less than a day. A few hours at most. How would she be of any help. She had vivid images of him, but they were only mental pictures. Pictures from her memory. She always did have a photographic memory, as her guardian had put it. She didn't see how that would help.

She stood up, willing herself to move forward, yet hesitating to do so. It was one thing to stand by and watch magic being performed, another to know you must take part in it. Nevertheless, she took her position as she'd been requested to do.

"I don't see how I may help," she remarked rather doubtfully, "I do not know him well at all."

Illusor smiled patiently at Violet's hesitance, "Perhaps you may not have known him particularly well, but I had picked up on a certain amount of concern you hold for him. You also know him well enough to lend your knowledge to my assistant. All I need you to do, is picture him in your mind, think of what you do know of him, and then speak the name by which you know him best. That is all." The healer took a moment to rest a comforting hand on Violet's shoulder, "There is no need to concern yourself overly much on this matter, my spell is already cast, the help I summoned simply needs more information on his target."
