Kimi looked back at Trace and gave him a little smile.
"You can come with if you want to, but I don't think anyone would mess with me Trace."
She raised an eye brown and moved towards the door as she tugged on a corduroy jacket. She Watched Trace walk out then did so herself, locking the door behind her. When they got out to the car she breathed the cool air and sat back in the driver's seat starting the car and pulling out onto the road. She glanced at Trace but mostly kept her eyes on the road in front of her.

Max stood in front of the cracker section of the packaged snacks isle of the Grocery only two blocks from her dorm. She hadn't been able to sleep and it was her first night so she figured she's go on a walk. That walk led her here. There must have been five dozen different kinds of crackers... she had no idea what kind to get.
"Wheat thins? Ritz.... What's a chicken in a biscuit? Is it chicken flavored?"
She thought out loud. Max was wearing light blue flare jeans and a green tight tee, covered with a gray and blue striped hoodie. On her back her ukulele was strapped backpack style between her shoulder blades, it also held her wallet and school Identification card.

Parker yanked a case of beer bottles from the shelf, and placed them beside his feet as he tossed a variety of sodas into the shopping basket. "Aww, no Dr. Pepper! What's this place got against it?" he shouted across the aisle over to Max, who couldn't make up her mind of what type of crackers to get. "It ain't that hard, is it? Just get all of 'em. I got it covered." It didn't phase him how much it'd cost, especially after their last gig. Yeah, they weren't much of a band yet but they did get an exceptional croud. Mostly, over how awesome Max's vocals where; they even blew him away.

Trace smiled as they climbed into the car, and kept is eyes on her the whole ride. It wasn't until the neon glow from the store's sign hit Kim's face that he realized they were already there. Not a word had been spoken since they left, and he wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. Trace nearly hopped out of the car, tugging his leather coat around him tighter to keep in the heat, and opened the front door; letting Kimi in first, of course.

Max groaned and ran a hand though her short brown hair.
"I can't get all of them, There's to many... What kind do you like? What's the best?"
This store didn't carry the brands she was use to and she was clueless as to what was good. Normally she just eat what was given to her, never having asked what they where called.
"Why are there so many?!"
She picked up the box of Wheat Thins and looked at the side wondering if it was the one she wanted, it had the coolest picture on the front so she thought it would be.

Kimi walked into the Grocery and picked up a red plastic basket from a stack near the door. She looked back at Trace and made sure he was not frozen or anything, before walking towards the fridge isle. She needed eggs and half&half, as well as cheese... She needed more cigarettes to, and cold medicine. But first was first, to the eggs.

"Uhhhh," Parker went over to the aisle the crackers were in and shifted through the boxes. "What kind of flavor do you want? There's onion, garlic, chicken, vegetable, wheat, butter, saltines..." The list went on; for a small store they sure did have quite the selection of crackers. "I like garlic or butter, and Ritz and Wheat Thins tend to be the best, so we'll stick to them." He took a box of what he liked and put them on top of the pile of soda, before continuing down the ailse while Max could pick out which ones she liked. Parker grabbed a bag of Munchies, Sour Cream & Onion chips, Pretzels, Tortilla chips, as well as the salsa and cheese dip. How he managed to consume this much without gaining a pound was a mystery to himself as well as his doctors. "Anything else you wanna get besides the crackers?" He grinned over at her.

Trace followed Kimi into the store, walking behind her like a lost puppy. He groaned as they reached the fridge aisles, "I'm gonna go wonder, it's too damn cold over here." Shivering, he turned around and walked up and down through the other aisles. At first, he had thought they were the only people insane enough to go to a store at this time in the morning until he came across two other people, a guy and a girl about his age.

Every few minutes Tess stirred around in her sleep before waking up for a few minutes at a time. It wasn't until the third time that she realized that Trace was no longer beside her like he said he would be. So much for staying the night... She glanced over the side of her bed to see a mattress on the floor where Gab lay fast asleep. Tess shivered, clutching onto the blankets. She didn't want to disturb Gab's sleep but she was cold as anything and needed some warmth, whether or not it meant sharing a bed for the night. Tess moved off of her bed and sat down at the edge of the cot Gab was sleeping on for the night. She watched him for a minute to see if she woke him up at all before climbing into the bed, keeping a reasonable distance between them. Tess draped her blanket over the two of them so there were two layers to keep them warm. "Much better," she yawned.

Kimi glanced over her shoulder as Trace retreated to a warmer part of the store, she chuckled and put a carton of eggs into her basket. She looked over the yogurts as well, Gab liked the tube yogurt, his favorite flavor was blue so she got a box of them as well. She skimmed the frozen dinners and took out a box of toter Pastries, Tess liked them and they where a good treat to have in the freezer, they kept well.

Max nodded and picked up a red box of Ritz crackers, they where round and the photo showed a golden brown flying saucer of tasty goodness sprinkled with glittering salt crystals. She loved snack food. Even though she didn't eat much, what she did eat was horrible for her. She held the box to her chest and ran after Parker, her boots making loud clomping noises as they hit the linoleum floor. When she reached him she dropped the box into his basket and grinned up at him.
"Can we get Sandwich Cookies? Please? Oh! And Licorice whips!?"
She was excited and the idea of buying her own food was new and exciting. She loved the store!

Gab awoke just enough to notice Tess next to him. He rolled over and put his arm around her, keeping himself pressed to her. She was warm and soft and spelled good. Gab quickly drifted off again but much more comfortably. He always slept better when he had a person to sleep beside. On his own it was almost impossible.

Parker laughed at Max's excitement over the small grocery store. "Of course we can." It was amusing watching her decide what she wanted and her enthusiasm about the whole experience. They crossed through a few aisles before finding the sandwich cookies she adored so greatly and the licorice wasn't far from it.

Tess smiled as Gab wrapped his arm around her. "Goodnight," she whispered, unsure if he had even heard her before he fell back asleep. Either way it didn't matter. She yawned once more before drifting back to dreamland once more, in hopes she wouldn't wake up until the sun rose, or the smell of eggs seeping through the crack under the door.

Kimi finished her frozen, and cold food shopping and moved on to the bread and sweets isle. Two people around her age where hovering around the cookies, She smiled at the girl and walked past them, standing only a few yards away. Kim looked over the bead selection and got a whole grain loaf with oatmeal in it. She placed it in her basket and looked back over at the two young adults. She recognized them from some where...

Max ran her hand over the shiny plastic packages of cookies There where five different brands of sandwich cookie, each with a multitude of flavors. Here favorite where the chocolate ones with the white creamy pattie of sugar in between the cookies. Max looked around and smiles at the young woman who stood a few yards away. Before looking up at Parker. "What kind do you like Park?" She asked unsure of what to get once again.

"These," he said, picking up the case that had peanut butter in between the two chocolate cookies," are godly." Parker looked over the pile of junk food they had in the red basket before taking Max's wrist and leading her towards the register before she thought of something else she wanted. "I think we're good for now," he smiled. They walked past the line of vacant registers before finding the only one open, lane 3.

After walking up and down the aisles, Trace finally came across where Kimi was hiding."There you are." He had a small 99 cent bag of Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips in his hand. "Would you mind?" He grinned, hoping she could spare a dollar for a quick fix, which he would be more than happy to share with her.

Max walked at Parker's side to the register and smiled, beaming up at him. She danced slightly as she walked, Her skinny slender body wiggling and never stopping completely. She couldn't stop. That would ruin everything.
"I'm sooo happy you brought me with you... Thanks Parker. I love the store."
She sighed and leaned her head against his upper arms, he was that much taller than her.

Kimi to the chips and put them in her basket. She took a box of decongestants off of the shelf and put them into her basket then walked towards the register.
"Is that really all you want?"
She asked not sure if he was just being modest or something. Kim stood behind the two people from teh cookie isle and listened to their conversation as well.

Parker patted the top of Max's head while she was leaning against him, chuckling at her every movement and word. "It was no problem at all, it's more fun when you're here anyway. You make it seem like an adventure, it's cute." He smiled down at her, putting the items into the plastic bags at the end of the conveyor belt before taking out his wallet to pay the cashier. "Have a nice night." Parker wrapped his one arm around Max's waist and held the bags in his other hand as they exited the store.

"Yup," he smiled, helping Kimi put the items onto the counter for the cashier. After the couple left, Trace looked to Kimi, "have we seen them before?" There was something about the guy who had to be at least six foot three that triggered some sort of memory, but he couldn't place where he was at the time.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 14, 2009 8:45 pm

Max put her arm around Parker's waist as they walked out into the cold. Her thin hoodie wasn't enough to keep the chills away, she hung close to The taller boy they had a while to walk until she could cover herself in a warm blanket and eat cookies next to the radiator.
"Why's it soooo cold!"
Max complained and wiggled against his side, making it difficult for him to walk.

Kimi looked at the two as they left finally remembering where she had seen them. She waited for the cashier to scan her items and turned to Trace.
"They preform at some of the places we do. The girl's got a real set of lungs. She rivals Tess, but is a little more stable." The guy plays guitar, bass sometimes. He's almost as good as you hun, look out, I think their going to hit it big soon. "
Kim winked and handed over her plastic card for the woman behind the counter to swipe.

Trace snapped his fingers, "That's it! She's amazing, as is he. We've gotta practice more." He could feel his competitiveness set in, although other things had to be taken care of first. There was the fact that Demetrie just got operated on, Gab was sick, and Tess, well hopefully she'd be better by morning. He looked up at the clock on the wall. 3:05 AM. He sighed, bagging the items she had bought and took them in his hands, while Kimi finished up.

"Well, it's possible it's because it's bout the end of November, and," Parker looked up at the clear night sky," there's no clouds to keep the heat from leaving. At least he remembered one thing from his meteorology class last week. He's be in a bit of a bind if he didn't, since the final was in less than a month. But a final was just a final. Who cares if he did good. It wasn't his choice to go here and it sure as well wasn't him who paid. So if they wanted him hear even though his grades were well below average then they could wine about it with each other. Parker slid off his jacket and draped it over Max's shoulders. "Here, this should help some. Can't let you get a cold and ruin your voice, now can I?"
PostPosted: Sat Nov 14, 2009 10:03 pm

{Goodnight}

Max held Parker's leather jacket close around herself, it was huge on her but she liked how it smelled. Parker was so nice.
"You're so smart Park."
She Giggled as they walked down the dark cold street. She seemed so out of place there.

Kimi rolled her eyes and got into her car. She drove slowly back towards the dorm.
"Don't think for one second that We are going to get any real practicing done in the near future young man."
Kim warned knowing how hard it would be to get them all in one room let alone playing the same song in one room.

Parker held Max close to him until they'd reach the dorms. Opening the large wooden doors for her, he kissed her on top of her head softly, "ladies first." Grinning he escorted her in and walked up the red carpeted stair cases till they reached Max's door. He leaned back against the door, not letting her leave just yet. "Practice tomorrow?"

Trace sighed, "my fault, huh?" He didn't even need to ask to know the answer. Kimi was right, there'd be no way we'd get all of us in the same room, especially Gab. He hadn't the slightest clue what Dem thought of his sudden return, but he guessed he'd find out soon enough. Tess seemed okay with it, sure she wasn't at first but her drinking and sobbing lightened the mood, guess she just had to get back to herself first.
