"Goodnight," Ferrin whispered, and tossed the moon back into the sky. The glittering streams twisted and spun all around him and as suddenly as he had appeared, the magician vanished.

::Kallman sat in his spring only half naked. He had taken off his shirt and dived in. He had Charlie watching for the fox girl. He had a feeling she would follow him. Kallman had so many things on his mind.::

'The blue girl looked out at the world, thinking it a strange place, not remembering that it was where she had come from.'

An odd creature came to the water and peeled off it's skin, and the blue girl thought that that was a very strange thing to do. It slid comfortably into her world and she watched it, trying to understand what kind of creature it must be. She came closer and looked above the water, into the strange world, and saw the creature's face.
As if the spiderweb that held her memories had blown away, she remembered the face and who it had belonged to. With a gasp she swam to the surface of the water and launched above it, staring at Kallman's shocked face. He jumped out of the water and stared at her.
"Who are you?!" he asked, for he had never seen something quite like her before, especially not in the hotsprings!
"Is mise, Neamhiomlán chun Cuannacht!" she cried, staring at him. He didn't seem to understand and she gestured frustratedly. She remebered that her sword was still on her back and she took it out, climbing from the water to toss it down at his feet. "Sin bí cheannsa!" she said pointing.
Kallman began to back away slowly.
"Aon!" she yelped pleadingly. He can't understand! she thought desperately. She took a deep breath and willed her tongue to work correctly.
"K-k..." she bit her lip in concentration. The words felt so strange. Why did this happen? "Kal-kall...mm...ann," she tried. "Kall-man!"

"How do you know my name and who are you!" ::Kallman picked up the sword there seemed to be a strange marking upon the sheath of the blade but Kallman could not read it for it was in a strange language. Kallman kept his cool and went to the strange girl. He said slowly:: "Please....who are you?"

The blue girl slapped herself in the forehead in frustration, shaking her head. How am I supposed to tell him that when I can't even speak? she thought. She tried to say her name again, but all that would come was Neamhiomlán chun Cuannacht--and he couldn't understand.
She sat on the ground and put her face in her hands desparagingly, muttering under her breath. "Anois céard?" she mumbled. Now what?
"Mar roimh ré, mar sin féin anois," she began to chant, closing her eyes and falling into a trance. "Mar roimh ré, mar sin féin anois."
She began to glow as blue as her skin, like a full moon at midnight. She opened her eyes and stared into Kallman's, blinking once and then holding his gaze as her eyes changed from blue to hazel.

"Hanna is that you?" :: Kallman began to walk closer. Charlie was close behind watching that his master was protected.:;

Hanna sighed with relief and let the magic fade, nodding tiredly. It had taken a lot of her strength to let just a small part of her human form show through and she was weary. She leaned on her elbows and rested her head in her hands, counting the seconds between each breath as she came fully from the trance. She was too tired to speak, although she knew it would do no good anyway. The only thing she seemed to be able to speak was the old language, her native tongue.
If I speak, he can't understand me. If I am silent, then he will never understand. What am I going to do? she thought.
As Kallman came closer she looked up and smiled a little, but it quickly faded. Charlie was nearby, watching alertly. He didn't seem to know her either and she drooped a little with that realization.
"Saor Fear?" she called hopelessly. Where she came from, most creatures, human, demon, or otherwise, understood the old language, but in the swamp, far, far away from the Wetlands, how was Charlie supposed to know that she was saying his name?

::Charlie lifted his head and went to her and nudged her. Charlie knew who is was now and now he wasn't concerned about his master.:: "Areuyia Princess" ::Charlie was trying to remember how to say Water Princess. He had been in the swamp for so long his native language was hard to remember.::

Hanna gasped as Charlie spoke and sat bolt upright. "Tusa tuigim!" You understand! she said with relief. Someone at least could understand so far from her home.
"Can you help me?" she asked. "I think I have to find a cave, but I don't remember where it is. If I can get there, then perhaps this magic will reverse and I will at least be able to speak again. It is at the base of a cliff somewhere in the swamp. I followed a hare to it, but that was when Master was captured. I had forgotten it, but I think it is important."
She prayed that the flytrap would understand and could only hope that Kallman would understand how to help if she needed.
She began to draw in the dirt while she waited for Charlie's answer.

((The language I've been using is actually Gaelic, though to Hanna it is the Old Language. Here's the link to a website where you can look up words if you want-

::Charlie nudged against Kallman. Kallman could sense Charlie wanted to lead them somewhere.:: "Master, the girl." ::He muttered out the only english he knew. Kallman grabbed the girl and put her on his back.:: "Okay Charlie lead me to the place." ::Kallman knew where he had met Charlie originally. Charlie had once been a person but an evil sorcess had turned him into a plant and to this day no one could reverse the curse. Kallman was the only one who had known Charlie before he was turned into a plant. He had been a human one he had seen from the quicksand. He was a retired hunter, said he was tiring of listening to the new boss and wanted to find adventure in life and something about rare hares within the swamp lands.::

Hanna gasped with surprise when Kallman swung her up from the ground and then only hung on as Charlie led the way to the cave.
Hanna wrapped her arms over his shoulders and held on, for the first time thinking about how muscular Kallman was. She rarely thought about a person's attractions, looking at them through a huntress' eyes, but in the form of her mother's family she didn't think in quite the same manner.

::Charlie wasn't very fast for a plant but he got to the cave rather quickly.:: "Master, the girl." ::Grumbled Charlie. Kallman went into the cave holding on to Hanna. Hopefully this cave was the answer. Kallman looked back and Charlie was waiting at the entrance. Kallman could understand why he didn't want to go in further. He had been changed into a plant once he didn't want worse to happen. Maybe Kallman would tell Hanna Charlie's orgins once she was normal again. Kallman was sweating the cave was hot and there was no light. Kallman went off of his nose and came to a strange pool of water. Kallman put Hanna down and hoped Hanna could lead him the rest of the way. There was no way Charlie would enter the cave not after that day. Kallman slipped off his shirt and tossed it to the side. He was sweating and there wasn't any point to keeping it on, but what he didn't realize was Hanna was different.::

(Santinka Kallman is a full wolf demon not half. Heh)

(Oops sorry! I'll fix that.)

Hanna could see in the dark.
She stared at Kallman for a long minute before she shook her head and turned to the pool. she waved her hands over it, blowing the scent of the pool to her keen nose. It smelled sweet and pure and looked clear, almost seeming to glow. She knelt down beside it and her hair fell loose and trailed in it, making it ripple quietly. She let herself see it with her mind's eye, her magic eye, and let its movement settle into her, until she knew the currents better than any fish. She reached back and took Kallman's hand as she stood, guiding him into the water until the stood up to thier waists and took a long, loud breath, so that he would know they were going under, then dove. Letting go of his hand so that he would swim easier, she surged forward, leading the way into the underwater tunnels below.
She swam and swam, not realizing until it was almost too late that the wolf demon was no longer behind her. Panick seized her and like a coiled spring she fled back down the tunnel, using her senses to find him.
He was trying to swim back to the surface, but didn't know the way. His eyes were wide with frantic horror and she realized with a start that he was out of air.

::Kallman gasped for air but it was useless he was in water. He swam desperately for the surface but it was too late. He passed out. Then it happened. Kallman transformed into a full wolf demon. And he sprang out of the water and landed unconsious at the surface.::

Hanna threw herself out of the water and sprang like lightning to his side, checking his pulse and breathing. Each breath came shallow and gasping and his pulse was fast...at least, for a human it would have been. For a wolf demon she didn't know.
I should have been more careful, she thought.
She waited beside him until his breathing returned to normal, stroking his fur and singing a lullaby in a soothing tumble of strange syllables and soft melody winding together. When at last it seemed that he was only sleeping, she stood and returned to the water. With one last look back, she dove in, leaving Kallman on his own.
She swam deeper and deeper, through a catacomb of underwater caves that would be impossible to navigate to a land creature, but to her was as simple as a single path. At last she reached a cavern so huge that she could not see the roof from below the water, and she went above to look more closely.
She peered at the enormous underground lake and spotted an island in the middle, filled with indistinct, moving phantoms made of aqua light. She swam toward it and crawled onto the rough shore, rising to her feet. The phantoms had vanished, leaving behind a glowing orb that pulsed invitingly. Just as she began to walk toward it she saw something from the corner of her eye and spun, shocked to see Kallman!
He can't be here! she thought, checking her surroundings to be sure. When she had left him he had been sleeping soundly, and there was no way for him to navigate the tunnels on his own!
Hanna turned away, reminding herself of the phantoms she had seen a moment before, and walked toward the orb.
The fake Kallman groaned wolfishly, shifting restlessly, as if he had been caught in a nightmare. Hanna stared, shook her head, and started away again.
A sloshing sound began at the shore closest to Kallman and she turned again, horrified to see things crawling from the water toward him! Caught between her friend, whom she was sure was a phantom, and the orb, which she was sure would turn her back, she found herself unable to leave him.
Turn back, then deal with them! she urged herself, but the things were too close to him. She stared back at the orb and reached for it--then cursed under her breath and sprinted to her wolf friend's side, lashing out at them dangerously with her long legs. "Mine!" she hissed at them, and they seemed to shrink back.
She wrapped her arms around Kallman and lifted him a little, pulling him toward her. "Mine!" she snarled again, baring her teeth like a feral beast.
In an instant the orb flashed brightly and the March Hare sprang out, except it had long, flashing teeth and claws and legs like a panthers. It advanced toward her and grinned.
"Good choice," it said, and roared, leaping into the air as the entire lake surged straight up and the ground crumbled away. Hanna clung to Kallman, struggling to swim for them both as strong currents tugged from every direction, making her fear for both of their lives. Just as she lost consciousness they landed on solid ground and the water drained away.
Eyes closed, chest heaving, Hanna felt Kallman's hand in hers and realized he must have changed back into human form. She felt him beginning to stir and groaned.
"Dram..." she muttered, passing out.

((So much better than a cuss word, don't you think? lol ))
