Martin grabbed his pipe. "Fine, explaining how you're wrong later."

"Jesus, just get the hell in the truck." Lilth said impatiently. Without waiting for them to get their asses out of there before the rabbits killed them all she hoped into the convoy truck, assuming it was unlocked.

Murdock looked at the others there in the church after having some time to himself to think. In all honesty, this was probably not the best place to be. No real weapons, no real defenses, and hardly any food or other supplies. Not to mention--given enough time--that they'd start to go mad or become upset with each other without anything to occupy themselves. People always seemed to forget that during a long-term crisis, entertainment was just as important as a rations stockpile.

"You know, we probably shouldn't stay here or make any plans to stay here. It's not a very safe or promising locale, all things considered. We might want to consider relocating, and we certainly need to consider collecting proper equipment and supplies for a long-term holdout." He spoke loud enough to ensure everyone could hear.

Alaric looked up from a book on astrology, "Well, how long term should we plan for, and do you have any place in mind? Personally, this old church is the sturdiest building I've found thus far. Then again I did move here just before the infection, so I have no clue what... Does anyone know where a shipping plant is? If so there would be loads of food, clothing, a refrigeration system, and we could easily get in, the roof access door by law could not have a lock, for fire hazard purposes."

((Sorry about the late post, major projects were due))

"Excuse me but i've been holding out in this church just fine." Drusilla was more than a bit upset with this Grigori person. Insulting her church. "In fact, i've been here for over a month on my own and I was here for two months with the nuns." Although, that may have been because she was catholic.

"Besides, any refridgeration system would be broken unless we got power to it. Meaning we'd have to make it to the power plant on the otherside of town and one of us would have to know how to work the damn thing." She sighed a bit then, knowing that they were probably right. "Personally I'd rather go to some place in the middle of no where with lots of room to try growing something."

He set the book down with a sigh, "I know the refrigeration wouldn't work, it was just an idea, and depending on what we find in such a warehouse, we could try to start a garden on it's roof, it would get plenty of sun and would not be able to be infected. Of course, we would need to know where said warehouse is, if in fact it exists at all."

Jake heard the sounds and decided to stop trying to talk people into coming and just take those who will. “All right I'm getting out of here, if you want to come you can but I'm going to the hospital no ifs, ands, or buts.” He pointed to the pale young woman and said, “She's already called shotgun so everyone else get in the back. If anyone can use a mg then take it; however, watch out. I'm running low on ammo for it.” Jake walked out out the back of the library and got in his truck. As he buckled up, he saw the pale woman in the seat next to him. “I don't think we introduced each other, I'm Jake Warren, what's your name?”

"If one of you morons hadn't wrecked my shelter, I wouldn't have to be putting up with this s**t," Martin protested, jogging a bit past the truck. He delivered a single full-body swing to a very, very slowly approaching ordinary zombie's head, sending it to the ground with a resounding crack. As he jogged back to the truck, they heard scuffling on the roof. He climbed in. "Let's go, like, right the hell now."

"I'm not arguing that fact, ma'am," was Grigori's reply to the teacher. "What I am arguing is how safe this place will be were we required to stay another 6 months or a year, and it's quite possible we may need sustainable shelter even longer than that. A rural area would be much better than this city, like you said. We'd be able to supply our own crops, and if we managed to make it to a flat region, we'd have much better visibility. As it is, we can't hardly see more than ten feet without obstacles, and obstacles mean hiding places--and not just for those rotting bastards either." He looked around them, making sure he had their attention. "I mean no offense, but this place simply can't provide. There isn't enough food to keep just the four of us going for more than a week, and then we have to make trips to WalMart. Definitely not a good idea to keep our resources in a building other than our safehouse. Not wise at all."

Lickers were leaping from the top of the library now. For there to have been so many, without any kind of summons, could only mean one thing: they actually had a nest in the library. Or, whatever it was that the more intelligent zombies used to live in. The point was, they lived in the library, and Martin was so far beyond lucky that it wasn't even funny to have lived that long.
If they weren't already driving, then they would be overrun in a matter of seconds.

The church doors thumped once, softly. Those inside froze for almost a minute. Just as they began to relax, a much louder, much angrier thump sounded. They needed some kind of plan, or things might turn out badly.
The nun in the back was groaning louder.

s**t, he thought. I was more right than I thought I was. "Looks like we might have to wait on the plans on work on a temporary fix because that sort of a racket can only mean that something big wants in. Might I suggest we leave before it gets what it wants?" While waiting for an answer, he strode up to the nearest chair and turned it over so that the legs were up in the air. He then gripped one leg with both hands, planted a boot on the bottom of the chair, and gave it a hefty yank. With much splintering and rather audible cracking, it came free. It wasn't much in the way of defense, but it was something. "I--for one--am in no mood to be munched, certainly not here. It'd be far too ironic."

Alaric drew his machete in his right hand and pulled a tonfas off of his backpack with his left and held it out to Drusilla, "I'm with you, looks like we need to get out of here quick, I say we go to the walmart and steal one of the cars. Anyone know how to hot wire? I know how, but I've never actually done it."

"Lilith, resident insomniac." She looked the part too, and suddenly felt too weak to be holding that stiff metal crowbar. "I agree with the delinquent looking one." She buckled herself in and saw the zombified rabbits jump into the library, oh, lovely.

Dante was following the road as he followed the map he memorized. “Is Everyone alright?” He then attempted to make a bit of small talk with Lilith as he drove. “So, What did you do before hell?”

"Unscathed." She replied plainly, answering his first question. "Oh, I was doing normal stuff, psychoanalyzing some convicts, making car payments and trying to buy a semi-livable house." Lilith's words were quick and to the point, and some strange sarcasm bubbled in them.
