Gaunt smiles softly and he nods slowly, then he blinks when Serenity brings up swimming. "Swimming? Aww, why didn't you tell me we could go swimming, Serenity? Then I would have brought some trunks or something so we could all go swimming together." He chuckles and he shrugs. Though he was just fine sitting nearby and watching Serenity in the water..

Serenity giggled softly, blushing. "It's ... just a river," she murmured. "Usually we just splash around a bit ... I don't have a bathing suit here either."
Then again, her relatives would be scandalized if they saw her in it - so much skin showing and all.

Gaunt laughs softly and he nods slowly. "A river, huh? A shallow river, then, if you can splash around without having to change into a swimming suit." He smiles softly at her, relaxing at the table as he waits be taken to the next thing to be done.

Serenity giggled softly. "Not shallow at all ... it gets nearly ten feet deep in the middle. But the banks aren't too steep ... of course if you do ever want to swim for real, it's a lot of fun diving from the dock."
Not that she would let Ian do so. He didn't have the strength or the endurance yet ... though she was hopeful that working with a bow would help him to develop his arms at least a bit.
"So as soon as Ian's finished eating," she suggested, "shall we head over to the valley?"

He nods slowly, rubbing his chin with his free hand, still keeping his other hand, along with its associated arm, with Serenity. "Mmm. So it must be a pretty wide river, if it gently slopes to ten feet deep and gently slopes back." He nods and he smiles again. "Mmn. Sounds good to me."

Serenity giggled again. "Um ... sort of?" she tried. "I think it's maybe ... thirty or forty feet across, but ... only the banks are shallow, once you get about five or eight feet in it drops suddenly, really fast."
Almost as if it was deeper than it had originally been.
Ian sat up and licked his lips, finished with his breakfast now - and wearing what seemed to be a good portion of it.
"Done!" he beamed, wide awake now and ready to start the day. "Come on, Prince! Let's get our stuff and then we can -"
He broke off suddenly, realizing that they didn't have any 'stuff' to get ... since of course they hadn't been expecting to stay overnight at first. At the realization, however, he just grinned.
"We don't have anything to get!" he giggled. "Yay! Then we can just go back to see Ulrich then!"

He nods slowly and smiles. "Oh. I see." He chuckles softly and he nods. "It sounds fun. I'd like to go diving if I had something to swim in."
Prince blinks, then gathers in some cloth to use as a knapkin, starting to clean up Ian's face. "Heh. Nope, we don't have anything to get. It's just us." He smiles softly at the Surprise and he nods, getting to his feet and taking Ian into his arms, looking at Gaunt and Serenity. "We're ready to go."

Serenity giggled. "Take off your shirt and just swim with your pants on?" she suggested. "But first ..."
She looked over at Haradhel and smiled warmly at her. "Thank you for everything you've done for us," she said warmly. "Letting us stay here, and feeding us and everything. We very much appreciate everything you've done."
Haradhel smiled back at Serenity and nodded. "You're very welcome," she replied softly. "It was about time you came to visit. You should come more often - all of you," she added, looking pointedly at Prince and Gaunt and Ian. "We really do love to see everyone ... especially those who might someday be a part of the family."
Serenity blushed. No might about it, Gaunt was going to be Haradhel's nephew someday as well.
Ian grinned at Prince as he cleaned his face, and when his friend picked him up he settled himself comfortably in his arms.
"Ready!" he echoed Prince, his smile bright and wide.

Gaunt smiles and bows. "Please pass along our appreciation to everyone for us as well, please." He smiles a little more and he nods. "I'll be sure to try to find some time to come here. After all, I can spend an entire day here and just have an hour or so pass over in our worlds. So that should be doable without screwing my age up too badly." He chuckles softly. He looks at Serenity, taking her hand. "Well, ready to go?"

Serenity squeezed Gaunt's hand tightly. "I'm ready," she nodded. Then she turned to the boys and held out her hand to Prince as well, so that the four of them could walk altogether as they had the day before (with the exception that Ian was now in Prince's arms and not Serenity's).
Very shortly afterwards, the four of them had left the ranch and were walking once more through the woods.

Gaunt and Prince stroll along with Serenity, of course Prince with Ian in his arms. Gaunt tilts his head a little bit, trying to make some idle chatter as they stroll along. "Mmm. So, if you could design your own dream house, how would it look and what would it have in it?"

Serenity looked thoughtful, and she brushed some of her hair behind her shoulder before glancing up at Gaunt and asking in reply, "Is this for before or after we're married?"
Since of course, it would make a difference - somewhat anyways.

Gaunt smiles and he shrugs a little bit. "Well. If we'll get married soon, I think we should start thinking about goals. And getting a common dream house, or as close to common as possible, I think should be one of those future goals."

Serenity smiled brightly, blushing faintly.
"Well ... to be honest, I had never thought about it," she admitted. "I always thought I would just be staying with Mama and Papa, or at least near them, on the clan grounds."
She took a moment then to think about it, her eyes wandering to the trees that they passed beneath.
"I think ... as long as I have space to paint," she murmured slowly, "and you by my side ... and Prince and Ian of course ... I would be happy anywhere."

He laughs softly as he keeps strolling along with Serenity and the boys, glancing at her. "Well, that's just great. That makes a rather easy dream to fulfill." He grins lightly at her, squeezing her hand.
