The merc rolled his eyes, "Fine, but if it screws this up you'll have to deal with Zain." He said grabbing Rene's trophy and reviving her.
Rene stood and looked at Nerd, her arm twitched for a moment and began to rise jerkily, Rene was fighting the corruption valiantly.

SuperNerd000 put one hand on Rene's gun to keep her from raising it as she focused on her sword, attempting to undo Rene's corruption.

SuperNerd's focus was interrupted. Raster had caused a massive tremor to ripple across the ground, cracking concrete, loosening gravel, and decimating the barely-standing foundations of buildings in a large radius. The ground rose and dipped almost three feet from it's original elevation, throwing everyone off-balance and flipping any standing trophy and such due to the sheer slope that the road took.
A couple mercenaries, trophyfied and thus corrupted, were sent flying as well. Raster was causing a lot of damage.
It... might have been safer for Nerd to start with those corrupted enemies who were not yet trophyfied.
Cyrus was thrown off-balance himself. He fell, but took care not to let his crossbow become damaged. He could fire from this distance, but even if he hit, which was not completely certain, he couldn't be sure after that to hit skin and not armor.
He needed to get closer; his ammunition was precious.

SuperNerd000 sighed and hit Rene over to the head to knock her out, then turned to Raster. "Hold still for a minute, okay?" she said as she focused on the sword.

((I would assume that this purifying power takes longer over a distance? And we can just SCRAP the Halcyon's purification idea, since you have this... sword, which abruptly combats the... all-powerful villain's corruption, of whom you in turn abruptly created.))
((Raster is quite far away. Too far for these mercs to fire on without sniper shots, so... do you need to get closer?))

(sorry about the Halcyon thing, but my PTs sometimes change/get changed a lot, and yeah, it would take longer over a long distance, but she can use the sword to purify as long as she can see the target)

((I shall post a summary after this post. For lazy people.))It seemed as if the time to interfere had revealed itself. Raster felt himself being un...corrupted. He was helpless against the power, as he had been against the corrupted singing earlier--but this time, the persuasive power did not interfere with his ears and cause him to become immobile, as before. Raster had at least managed to knock Fuyusuke away (sorry but you're not here and he has others to fight) and now turned to approach his newest assailant.
Rene was down, as were most of the mercenaries. Raster was... alone.Raster would be uncorrupted in due time, Fatal knew. At the current rate, in a few minutes or so. If he turned and approached Nerd, as he was about to, the process would speed up considerably. So Fatal would intervene. Raster was easily the strongest possible trophy for his acquisition, at the moment. He had taken two just now. But that had been before the mercenaries were present. Raster, Rene... either presented a good choice. Zain relied too heavily on his gadgets for Fatal's taste. " Time to taste true corruption." For true corruption was not something to infect others with. It was something that attracted others to yourself. In this reason, no one knew they were being corrupted, until... they just were. It was time for Baron to taste the true terror of the underworld. During the fighting, Fatal--watching unobserved--had acquired a Smash Ball. Being the only one (except for a drowsy Vash) high above the city, he had spotted it with ease. Now it was broken, power surging through his capillaries. Fatal descended to the ground far below in a space of two heartbeats. Directly in between Raster and Nerd. " Final Smash. Dark Arising." Fatal disappeared, and in place of him, rose a dark, black-and-indigo, glowing, shining, and yet light-absorbing crystal. It grew, literally, to almost the size of the buildings. It became thicker around, too, until it equaled your average skyscraper. The skyscraper emitted a wicked pulse of energy, and then, hell broke loose. Literally. Devilish, hellish creatures ( NOT from Legion's domain) of the undead variety started pulling themselves from portals that disappeared as soon as the creature was through. Then they immediately began killing and destroying. Creatures of fire, of venom, of power, and of death attacked. Each had its own strength and weakness. No low-level mercenary could win in a one-on-one, mano-y-mano fight against any of these creatures. They consisted of the souls of the dead. Legion had no power over them. Fatal commanded them completely, subconsciously. They were not (for the most part) of evil origin, so a holy blade may smite them but could never convert their will. They were from the Nether. ((Fatal interrupts everything and uses a Smash Ball to open a nexus (unsure of word meaning) from the ethereal, netherworld of the dead. These are not controlled by legion and nor can they be killed by simple 'headshots.'
Fatal controls all of these things subconsciously, so they won't attack him or anybody he considers an 'ally.' They will keep coming as they're being killed, until the crystal itself (Summoned to invoke nethereal creatures) is destroyed. Which will not be easy. Especially when four types of monsters (NOT demons) are at your throats. One type flies. Pictures at the bottom of last post.))

((Fatal, just so you know Nerd's sword can destroy anything of evil nature, including your undead, and you wanted to know where Zylo was? Here he comes))
A rip in time opened near Fatal, a green flames ringing the dark portal. Zylo stepped through calmly, the portal slamming behind him suddenly. Zylo's cloak billowed about him, power flaring within him, his eyes slowly rose to face Fatal, emerald orbs of intense power. "Fatal, you and I have buisness." He stated calmly, striding towards the dark form of Fatal.
Zain cursed, switching around his gauntlet to a wider beam as he began blasting holes in the undead creatures Fatal had summoned, always darting about through the sky.
The remaining mercenaries formed into a quick wedge shape and started concentrating their explosive ammo, all of them firing on one creature before targeting a second, destroying the beasts utterly before moving on, it was slow gruesome work but they were the ones to do it.

She said simply, the blade was a high gift, and even she was surprised that Zylo had bestowed it upon Nerd of all people, but she didn't show it. ((ORIGIN. xP I specifically planned this out. Souls are not originally evil. Your holy sword will have mixed effects against the various demons I have summoned. Everything will.)) ((Oh, and btw, in case you were wondering, I got permission to do all of this. Including have the sword not be able to just utterly defeat everything instantly. [Although I didn't say it wouldn't kill them.] Just not with 'holy magic.' Like an ordinary sword, though.)) Whatever Zylo had appeared behind... it wasn't Fatal. Fatal had disappeared, and in his place had appeared the dark crystal. Assuming that Fatal had to reappear somewhere, sometime, though, Zylo appeared atop a skyscraper with a perfect and removed view of the battle below. The entire city was the battlefield, however. There were far too many monsters for the mercenaries to ever take on by themselves. When giant gargoyles, undead mauthe doogs (dogs), and other assorted evil attacked the mercenaries at once, with no regard for their own safety, and from all different angles, they were simply impossible to rebuff completely. With each endless wave, casualties would be suffered. And the creatures did not differentiate between the residents of Baron and the mercenaries. Only between those allied with Fatal and those not. Fatal turned and smiled. Showing no signs of menace, he made a mocking bow. "Zylo, the Guardian or what-not of Chaos. Your reputation precedes you, I'm afraid. To what do I owe this visit?" Fatal was on the edge of the building. And Zylo could not presume anything over Fatal, be it power, knowledge, or... age. ((Don't misunderstand. I'm not saying Fatal is more powerful, more knowledgeable, or older than Zylo. I'm just saying Zylo can't know whether he is or is not. xD ))

Zylo gazed calmly at Fatal, "You are powerful, I must admit, probably one of the more powerful foes I have fought. However, I am the Avatar of Chaos, and I have never truly lost. We will fight, and should I win, you will release the assist trophies you have, and you will remove your undead summons from this world. If you win," Zylo spread his arms, "I give you my power." Zylo had lived for longer then any being could imagine, the power of Chaos itself had drawn him up to use him as it's avatar, and Chaos would not allow it's body in the multi-verse to be destroyed.
((Chaos vs. Darkness.....seems unfair.....maybe I should just fight with one arm LMAO!))

Fatal grinned again, one of his malicious grins. Fatal was a deceiver and a cheater at heart. "Humanity," he said scornfully. "Was there ever so arrogant and presumptuous a race? I know not whether you are human or not, nor whether you began as a human or not. But you share their misconceptions... their flaws."
Fatal was talking as if he himself was not human.
"I shall not fight you. Zylo--the avatar of chaos! Could I ever hope to match such a force?" Fatal's face assumed a bitter expression. "...No." He answered himself. "No, I could not."
Fatal then raised an arm in defiance, waving it as if waving away a fly. "You should know, Zylo. Alive as long as you have been, one would think you would have had time to realize that humanity is not worth itself. Humanity is flawed. And I--I do not even care. So, if humanity is imperfect? I am me, therefore I am."
Fatal was drifting away from the realm of the easily understood. Below, monsters were attempting (and, in some cases, succeeding) in killing creatures. None attacked Raster, or Rene, or any corrupted. They killed innocent civilians, as well. The dark crystal, still in existence, pulsed malignantly. Every time it pulsed, with a wave of energy not visible, though definitely with a noticeable presence that you had to feel to understand and grasp.
"You cannot force me to fight, either," Fatal continued, almost gloating now. "Your power would overwhelm mine... especially with my abilities stretched so thin at the moment." Fatal glanced at the catastrophe below. "But you cannot stop me, either. Not if I do not wished to be stopped."
Fatal, if he played by Zylo's rules, would indeed be overwhelmed. And the offer of power did not dissuade him, either. He already had such a level of power in sight, in accumulation to his own. He already had a source of power greater even than Zylo's in sight.
For how could a machine that fueled itself on each and every imaginable type of power in existence be stopped?
"There's one other thing," Fatal mentioned. "If you fought me here, the city would suffer the more for it. Regardless of whether I faced you or avoided your attacks, the city would still be destroyed."
((And destroying Baron was disallowed by Nerd so you'll have to figure out another way to goad Fatal into a losing situation. rofl ))
