He laughs softly and he grins, almost like he was daring her to actually do it. "Well, that sounds like a fair proposition." He grins at her and he folds his hands into his lap, looking at her and waiting for her to follow through on the proposition.

The sparkle in Serenity's eyes increased, and she leaned over and cupped Gaunt's head in both of her hands. She gently put her lips to the smear of jelly and, instead of kissing him, began to slowly, ever so slowly and ever so teasingly, lick it off, bit by bit.
"Mm," she murmured, her lips still against his cheek. "You're tasty." She giggled and continued to lick the jelly, using just the tip of her tongue.

He smirks softly as he turns to get a little more square to her and he wraps his arms loosely around her, looking her in the eyes whenever he could. He tried to make it look like her teasing wasn't affecting him. Maybe she'd try harder and do something more.. daring, bold.

Serenity giggled softly, continuing to lick his cheek even after all traces of the jelly were gone. She leaned just a little bit closer to him, her body pressing against his side, acting as if there was just a little more that she couldn't reach.
"Here we go," she murmured, her tongue flickering playfully against his upper lip. "You're quite a messy eater, I have to say."

He smirks softly and he shakes his head, his arms tightening as she got closer to him. "Well, I have to argue with that, since it was you that caused this mess." He chuckles softly and he tilts his head. "Though if things like this happen, you're welcome to make more of them." He smirks, and then shifted his head and parted his lips, kissing her firmly and deeply. And if it wasn't for the kids, there would probably be another makeout session here.

Serenity returned the kiss willingly, one hand on his chest - but only for a few brief moments. They both had children watching them, after all. After only a few all too brief seconds, she ended the kiss and giggled softly, laying her head on his shoulder.
"Hm, maybe I should be a bit more careful in the future then?" she asked him teasingly. "No more messes on my part, hm?"

He laughs softly as he teased back at her. "Oh? Were my kisses really that unenjoyable? Maybe I should work on that." He chuckles softly as he kept holding her, moving his head to the side to make sure the kids were still okay. Prince, for one, was still happily munching away on the pie, still unaware to what was going on.

Serenity giggled. "I can't say no," she admitted. "But if you do work on your kisses and make them better, all I can say is that I'm the luckiest girl alive."
She leaned against him and reached for her pie once more. "But we should finish our dessert before the boys do, or else there will be nothing to distract them from us."

He chuckles lightly as he snuggles with her for a bit longer, eating his pie as the children did the same. "Mmmn. So you're saying that you're not already the luckiest girl alive? Man, I must really be off my game." He chuckles softly, smiling warmly at her.

He laughs softly as he takes down the last bite of his pie and sets the plate and fork aside. "Oh, is that right? I guess I'll have to try extra hard then." He grinned lightly at Serenity, then shielded his face a little as the sun dipped lower in the horizon. It was getting late.

Serenity also set her plate and fork aside as she finished her last bite, then glanced briefly over at Gaunt.
"I know it's starting to get a bit late," she murmured, "but can we watch the sunset before we have to go? It's the most beautiful time of day, and back home it's winter, so it would be a few months before I get another chance ..."
Ian by this time had finished his piece of cake and was using a napkin that was almost as big as himself to clean himself up.
"Want me to help you too?" he asked Prince cheerfully, holding up a second napkin.

Gaunt blinks, then he nods slowly and he smiles gently. He adjust himself so he was sitting more at Serenity's side and facing the sun. He slipped an arm around her shoulder and pulled her gently to his side, so they can watch the sun slide down the horizon.
Prince nodded and helped Ian out as well, helping him clean up some spots he missed or simply smeared wider over his face. He then smiles at Ian when Ian's face was clean. "Alright, I'm ready to be clean too!"

Serenity smiled widely, sitting there with Gaunt, and leaned against him happily. She slid one arm around his waist, resting it on his hip, and put her head on his shoulder, her other hand on his chest. She felt a warmth in her heart, a sense of peace she had never felt before, and she knew that Gaunt was the reason for it.
"You know," she murmured ever so softly, her eyes on the beautiful colours of the sunset, "I think I just might be the luckiest girl alive after all."
Ian grinned. "And you're an awful mess!" he giggled, kneeling beside his friend. "Okay, hold still ..."
He stuck his tongue out of the corner of his mouth in concentration, and began to wipe carefully at Prince's face with the new, clean napkin.

He smiles softly as his free hand comes across to gently play with the hair near her shoulder. "Mmmn. Are you now?" He chuckles softly and he tilts his head to give her pointed ear a n**. "Well, I'm honored to hear that. And you make me feel incredibly special as well." He smiles warmly at her, before returning his attention toward the changing sky.
And Prince did hold still, though he did giggle some. "You were pretty messy too, Ian. So what do you want to do after this?"
