Red's surroundings were blank; everything was white. Until Molly came closer, Red had forgotten about her. Something was brought to her mouth. Red twisted and turned her head, biting down more on her already-clenched teeth. She needed no protection from the pain that wasn't there. It was all fear. Besides, if she opened her mouth, she knew she would end up screaming.
Between the frantic breaths through her nose and teeth, she let out little terrified moans, all sounding like "no, no" or "get away." Blurred images of furred creatures flashed in the corners of her vision, but whenever she turned, there was nothing there. Her eyes focused on patches of nothing. She saw some red - blood, perhaps - in the corner, and she turned quickly. Instead of facing the horror from her childhood, the red framed a concerned face and loving eyes. They were not the glazed, dead eyes of her grandmother. They were the much-alive eyes of her new friend.
Red began to calm down, though she did not yet open her mouth. Her breathing slowed, and the world returned. Just then, the pain came so suddenly. She allowed one hand to release her ankle so she could grab her leg higher up, hoping to squeeze the pain away. Quickly, she brought her mouth forward and bit on what she hoped was whatever Molly had. When she pulled back and it was not attached to a hand, she took it in her mouth and bit rampantly on it.
"How...long..." she managed to mumble between bites. The pain still ached. To keep from slipping into her fear-cocoon, she kept her gaze on Molly's eyes. They kept her here. She just hoped Molly didn't see the anger and fear lurking behind her own eyes.
She's not so little anymore...

Strange Little Horror Follow the breadcrumbs... Oblivious to Peter's discovery of a shadow, but quite relieved he was done eating, Gretel spoke gently.
"Okay now, darling, do you feel weel enough to walk? The town's only a short walk East."
The walk was not, in fact, very short, but Gretel had to get Peter to leave.
...If you dare "Yes... I... I need to go." Peter said slowly as he place the bowl on the closet countertop and ran out the door saying in a hurry, "THANKYOUFORHELPINGMEI'MSORRYIHAVETOGOBYYYEEEE!" he said running out the door as he chased after his shadow. though at the time he wasn't sure whos it was.

Poetic Lilly Rose wandered through the forest, enjoying her quiet solitude for now anyways. Though after a while, she began to hear mummers. Just the faintest hints of voices, and she smiled. People, she could use some companions for now. Her measured pace followed the voices to a small group. AT first, Rose said nothing, merely observing the…unusual group. A quaint woman with brown hair, a lovely swan…and the oddest member of the group, a talking puppet. How very unusual, but no matter, Rose thought. Then she stepped into their sight. ”Hello all…” Rose greeted softly. As if on reaction, Pinnochio went stiff as a board, how much did she hear? how come he never noticed her earlier? how long was she there? he was in fact freaking out even though he had yet to move at all when she appeared. *What else could go wrong this day?* he thought challenging fate. which in fact was probobly a stupid idea. he decided that he could move in her prescence and moved to the side and leaned on a tree, not speaking.

Rose smiled pleasently. She eyed Pinocchio, for she had never seen a moving puppet, well not one without strings to hold them up. And yet, for some odd reason, her brain did not registar the talking swan as unusual. It was the best that she did not dwell on talking animals. After all the last one had been with Snow White... "I live here, Ms. Belle," She replied, easily.

Pinnochio raised his right wooden eyebow at her and looked around, there was no place around here by the looks of it, so what did she mean by "here"?

Odette looked over at Belle. Who looked rather skeptical of the idea of living in this forest. She, herself, felt the same way. But luckily her swan face didn't show it. Although her head was filled with questions, she kept her beak shut, she didn't want to be rude with the things she could say. Belle tried to keep her face neutral. She felt Odette's eyes on her, and knew that the swan-woman could see the skepticism on her face. "Are you going home Miss. Red, or are you off somewhere else?" She asked, as gently as she could. She didn't want to be rude, nor did she want to upset the woman, if home was a place she didn't want to be. She that feeling all too well, and how sensitive of a subject it can be.

Rose noticed the small changes in looks on the face of wooden puppet boy, and Belle. Sadly, she could not read Odette's face, being she was a swan, and therefore was understandably harder to interpret. Yet, she found herself understanding their confusion...her house was hidden well here. "No, I just left in fact, going for a walk, when I happened upon you travelers..." She replied, the simple epitome of politeness.

Pinnochio wa doubtful at the thought of someone living out here in this dark forest filled with prickly vines and such without even having a scratch on her legs.

Mr. Eccentricity Instead of facing the horror from her childhood, the red framed a concerned face and loving eyes. She just hoped Molly didn't see the anger and fear lurking behind her own eyes. She's not so little anymore... Watching Red retreat further and further into herself, it took conscious effort for Molly not to curse audibly. It seemed that they had not been able to complete a full day of successful travel without encountering something that would set her unstable companion off. A pale hand remained extended with the offering of the medicinal root as Molly's quick, clever mind raced to devise yet another possible way to bring the young woman back to the present. Distantly she could hear the girl's frantic murmurings, but the protestations remained heavily ignored as Molly weighed the consequences of certain actions against their possible benefits, all the while her eyes locked on the madness brewing behind Red's dilated irises. Mulling these thoughts over, she hardly noticed as Red began to calm herself down on her own. Molly almost meeps in surprise as the root is suddenly snapped up from her hand. Shocked, she stares as Red begins to chew determinedly upon the slightly bitter morsel. The shaky voice draws her out of her own astonishment, and she quickly leaps upon the opportunity for recovery. "Dun you be worrying that fool head of yours. You chew on that and yer pain will be gone right prompt-like. Once it calms down, we'll set yer ankle with a splint and you'll be walkin by morning. Might have a bit of a limp to ya, but it's much better than being bedridden, aye?" She can't even begin to express the relief, and even a possible feeling of pride, that Red managed to pull herself free of her delirium without assistance. Not wanting to destroy the inkling of hope that follows such an accomplishment, she gives Red a genuine and knowing smile. "This ain't nothing," she assures her confidently, "You'll see. Anything even thinks about messin with us tonight, we'll lay down the hurt so bad it'll be them that's beggin to limp away."

Belle nodded slightly at Rose's answer. She considered their options. She and Odette were in fact trying to find a way out of the godforsaken place they had ended up in. Where they were going exactly, Belle couldn't say. As for Pinocchio, she wasn't quite sure about where he was heading, but for the moment, they were all heading in the same direction. Belle knew that they would be better in numbers. "Well, if you don't mind a bit of company, we would be happy with you coming along with us. Depending on where you're wanting to end up, that is. You see we're just trying to get out of here, unfortunately I'm not sure which way is out. She chuckled slightly, thinking that their situation sounded rather funny.

Even before the pain began to subside, Red's mind calmed down and began to think. A hunter's mind needed to always be active, even in the midst of pain. She listened to Molly's words and was dismayed to hear of what would happen, though she didn't expect any less. Panic began to set in, though the sight of her friend kept her from going back to the blinding dark. 'What will I do if a wolf shows up?' she thought, worried for them both.
However, Molly knew exactly what words to say. A smile actually formed on Red's face; she truly was relieved. Or, at least, she felt a little better. Still, her hatred and paranoia over beasts was not something a few words could fully eradicate, so Red did not fully settle into ease. Every now and then, her eyes would frantically dash around, even when there was no mysterious movement in the brush.
"So...how about that bread?" she said, a bit hesitant but actually eager, for once, for conversation. Though the odd fruit-bread-thing had a pleasant smell, Red was more particular to meat, so her slight aversion to it was expected.
She's not so little anymore...

Rose smiled in her patient kind manner at Belle, listening gently while observing the group. She was sure there was more to these people, most people don't logically travel in such an odd group, much less in the woods, but then her mouth quirked into a more amused smile. "Well, dear heart, I can help. I have another residence outside of the forest, and would be more than happy to help you all out...especially since I was returning to that home anyways. You are all welcomed to come with, and rest up. There will be warm food, and a chance to rest and clean up," She offered.
