Ashe shook her head and sighed. Men, she thought No matter the race they all try and act as if they can handle it. They had reached the gate by now. "If you say so." She headed towards the castle. "Let's get the show on the road then. Off to see the king!"

"Yeah, you'd better be alright." Flint said, turning back around. The thought of Mike not being able to hold his form made him a little nervous. He wasn't always at ease around the taller people in this world, and when those taller people could, at a moment's notice, transform into a demon...he didn't want to be anywhere near that, if it happened. He looked over when Ashe sighed, but didn't bothering asking why. He just looked ahead, dismissing the spell as soon as they reached the gates. He didn't want to make the guards jumpy by having a flying gnome go past them. "Aren't we missing some people?" he said, looking up at Ashe. "By my last count, we had 5 of us." he added.

As Mike made it past the guards, the seemed to stare him down. Even regular people were noticing his stress. Mike took a deep breath and let it out. He was slightly relieved, but still feeling tense. Flint mentioned the others. "I'm not sure where they are." Mike suddenly felt as if all the stress had been taken off. His strength skyrocketed and he was much better than before. That made him worried sick. Two things made him feel great: the moon and darkness, and it was broad daylight. Something was coming, and it wouldn't be easy to stop. Mike put this thought in the back of his mind, but kept his eyes open for any sign of trouble, no matter how small.
"Flint, do you know if any of them are in the inn?" Mike asked. They could go get them if needed, but Mike was good just staying in a small group. "Keep it small. It's easier to keep track of people that way." he thought to himself. Still, with a large dark force seeming to be just on the horizion, Mike would agree to bringing the whole milita the king had at his disposal.

Flint was noticing the looks from the people, directed at Mike. It made him feel a little nervous. It seemed also that both Ashe and Mike where nervous, which wasn't good. If a dragon and a demon where a little nervous, then he should be trembling, no, quaking, in his boots. He looked back at Mike. "Maybe." he said. "It's always worth the try, and in any case, we left all our stuff back there." he said, for emphasis patting his side where his shortsword/dagger (If you where human) would be.

Mike bowed his head. He had forgotten that his companions didn't always carry their equipment around. Mike never left anything he had behind, everything he had went with him. Perhaps the weight was a form of redemption for him, a price for his sins that he subconsiously puts on himself to remind him he is paying for a large mistake he made. He was still just a kid back then, but that was no excuse. He'd pay till he went back to the Inferno and spent and eternity in Hell.
Mike motioned with a wave of his hand towards the inn. "Go grab your stuff..." Mike paused momentarily. He wanted to say 'you'll need it', but didn't want to worry the others. Though he was now positive that both of them caught on to the bad feeling Mike had inside. "And then we'll go see the king." he finished. He decided that if they didn't know, it would be better for them. At least for now anyways.

Flint was about to ask something when Mike bowed his head, but he assumed it was his usual depression spells. The day he saw Mike smile would be the day the world ended, so he thought. "Alright, I'll be back. If I see Sorrow on the way, you want me to get her?" he asked, turning to leave, and looking back over his shoulder, waiting for the answer.

(ugh, we need to get the plot line moving. I'm running out of the stuff to say. Soon I'll do one or two sentences. I can only be so depressed!!!)
Mike thought for a moment. Sorrow should probably stay away from him. She maybe be a fallen angel, but that still meant she could return one day. If he corrupted her like the demon he was, she would have no chance. Still, if things got out of hand, she could put him down. Mike nodded a yes to Flint. It could make things alot easier.
(We NEED Demidom soon.)

[Oh, the internal drama. And he/she/it (Can't tell over the nets) has contracted RP-Owner-Amnesia, which is a disease contracted by RP owners where they come online for long periods of time but seem to forget that they own an RP and should be working on it. No offence, in case Demidom reads this.] ------ Flint nodded in reply, heading up to the door to the inn. He looked over his shoulder again in case Ashe was coming, then ducked inside. He made his way to his room, finding the door locked. He pulled out the key and made his way inside. After a short check to make sure all his stuff was in place, he quickly packed up, and belted on his dagger. Then he remembered something and pulled a coil of rope out of his pack. He measured it against the banjo he had built, then cut a piece off. He tied one section to the top, and on the bottom, he cut a hole with his dagger to tie the other end in. Soon, he had a rudimentary strap for his shabby looking instrument that sounded more like a lute than anything. Flint brought the strap over his arm and headed across the hall to where he knew Sorrow's room was. He decided he wasn't going to stay long if she didn't answer, and rapped on the door as loud as his 4 foot frame could. ----- [And don't worry about 1 or 2 sentences. Thats all I can manage on a good day xD]

((Sorry: School work and a death in the family have kept my hands tied till now. Talked w/ Demi: He's too preoccupied w/ FFXI to really come on so I say we pass Sorrow 'round since she's already a key member))
Ashe was lost in her own thoughts to really pay much attention to the two behind her. She heard Mike mention getting their items and she headed towards the inn. Reaching her room she grabbed her stuff and headed to Sorrow's room. Testing the lock she broke into it and roused the sleeping Fallen. "Hey, it's time to head to the castle." She waited as Sorrow gathered her stuff and then walked out with her. She nodded to Mike to show that she was ready.

[[Fufufufu... Nixe is a kind of stalker. She'll be trailing behind you guys by 'coincidence'... Most of the time]]
Still walking, still bored, and still trudging towards the place that was calling for her.

(You two have been around longer than I have. You two should control Sorrow, I can't. My character's too involved.)
As Mike waited for Ashe, he drew his sword and looked at it. The Dark Demon Slayer, the blade that had been by his side since the begining and would go with him at the end. Countless demons were slain by this sword, not just on this plain of existance, but also in the Inferno. He cold see himself in the flames striking down shadowy foes like a madman. Then again, in the Inferno, everyone becomes a little mad. He held his sword infront of him, the blade facing away from him but his arm farther to the left. He'd protect this group from whatever dangers lie in wait ahead of them. Body, soul, and sword, he would protect them.
He spun his blade and put it back on his belt. It probably wasn't a good idea to draw that sort of attention anyways. As Ashe walked out with Sorrow. He wondered if they had all they needed, but as Ashe nodded her head, he was relieved and nodded back. He patted his pouch where his ocarina rested. If they were going to be bards, he would play with all the skill the Creator blessed him with as a mortal, and all the training his mother had given him. He would dedicate his songs to her from this moment on.

[Too tired to post a coherent reply. Work ftl. Also, I may have been here for longer, but I don't have the skill enough to control Sorrow. Demidom's posts are a little higher than mine on the literacy scale. My profile was half-assed compared to Sorrow's...and Mike's xD]

[[You could always just assume she's trailing behind you and will magically be safe from enemy attack. Saves you from the extra typing and playing another person's character.]]
