"We've not been here long, Master Sage. I do not believe anyone has taken inventory, nor do we have a good gist of what remains with us."
He was finally starting to feel warmer. Opening that window hadn't been such a bright idea.
"I believe most of our time has been spent in recuperation from the blizzard, but no one seems severely injured thus far. Nearly everyone here should be capable of fighting. Nearly. I won't be shocked if someone else tumbles in through that door soon — allies have been trickling in, but by now no one would even think of coming here. If they were smart they would have found shelter elsewhere."
The younger tactician felt his heart drop at his own words, but he exhibited no such signs of it on his face.
"I believe food and drink might be the main concern at the moment, as well as equipment."
Upon sensing a particular energy signature, Soren turned his burgundy eyes upon Alihi.
"Has anyone something else to add, suggest, say?"

"Well, the storm has died down some... we might be able to at least visit Merlinus and Chibi's shop." Sue suggested. "It would be enough supplies to last us a while... our rations here won't hold long."

Alihi shook her head. "The only thing that has been on my mind are those who haven't returned here yet." It was more like one person, but she wasn't about to mention that. "Taking inventory would be a smart idea. Get an idea of how much we'll need to rationalize food, and stuff like that. We'll have to send out a group eventually for supplies, though... who and when, I'm not certain of yet."

+It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! `Toys in every store. `But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be. +On your own front door.「 "Our first task is to review our supplies, then. We'll need a few people to cover everything...Someone will need to check the kitchen and food stores...Someone else will have to check on weapons...And we'll need another covering healing items, staves, and any useful odds and ends we can turn up. Armor and as much fabric as we can turn up would be very helpful, as well...protection from the cold...Fuel for the fire..." Turning to Anna, the boy bowed his head, attempting to look as respectful as he could manage. "Miss Anna...I wonder if you could help? You have experience in such matters, am I correct? The weapons and the items are within your expertise, yes? Would you be so kind as to take charge of one of these tasks?" 」
「 He turned his gaze back to his younger counterpart, then, "Soren. Is there no chance of a rescue party, then? Who is not accounted for? How many of our troops remain lost...?" The boy feared the answer. The younger's face had not changed in the slightest, but the slight tinge in his own chest seemed as though it had come from his younger self. He simply knew. Something is bothering him...I can feel it. 」
「 He called to the brown-haired tactician as well. "Alihi, what are the chances of you taking inventory on food, clothing, and fuel?" 」 ¡`It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! `Soon the bells will start. `And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing. ¡`Right within your heart.`¡

"Huh? Oh, I can do that. No problem." Alihi put on a small, convincing smile. "I'll go start that now..." With a small nod, she dismissed herself from the room and wandered off in the direction she believed the food was stored.

"That will be a considerable help, Alihi." The boy then turned his attention back to the topic of a rescue party. Is there anyone strong enough to take that blizzard on? It may have calmed down some, but it's still a mighty foe... 」 ¡`It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! `Soon the bells will start. `And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing. ¡`Right within your heart.`¡

"Tibarn did mention a rescue party. I understand there are quite a few still missing..." He looked on somewhat grimly. "But aside from Rath, I can't think of anyone else who is missing... Well, there was Valter, but I wouldn't worry. I think everyone's here..."
Obviously, he was biting back a lie.
"Some concerns, such as Aidan and Roy, found their way to us nevertheless. Rei was here earlier, I can't fathom where he's gone off to..."

Alihi, who was nearly out of the room, stopped for a moment. She only said one name, the name of the person she was so worried about.
"Abel."
And then, she walked off, to do inventory.

A pang of sadness hit the nomad when she still heard the name of her father amongst the missing. "Oh, where could he be, right now when we need him the most?" she wondered.
And the fact that both these mysterious figures were so powerful worried her. She knew that Rath was strong, that he could take care of himself, but outnumbered, anyone would fall in a heartbeat.
Sue knew she had to be brave for his sake, but if she were to suffer the same loss Lilina had, then she had no idea what she'd do.

"Soren. What aren't you telling me? ...If you are uncomfortable speaking of it openly, I would not be adverse to listening to your troubles in private. Please, don't be afraid to speak with me about anything." 」
「 The boy then pressed his lips together, focusing on the dangers they faced, "When Tibarn is available for council, we'll need to speak about the rescue party. Such an endeavor will require ample supplies, however...And perhaps the party can gather more while they are out. So the task at hand is still taking inventory. Let us account for our supplies. It will certainly assit in any plans of a rescue party." 」 ¡`It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! `Soon the bells will start. `And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing. ¡`Right within your heart.`¡

Another day, another snowfall. I swear, at this rate we'll die of cabin fever before starvation.
Rhys stared out a window in the living room, at last bored from being cooped up in this house.
What could I do today... let's see. I've... read all there is to read on King Lys--LEANDER, who may not have been much of a king, considering how little there was to read about him. I've taken stock of what I've brought--Heal staff, Light tome, a few rolls of bandages, and a couple of emergency remedies in case someone else gets sick. I...
He paused in his thoughts.
"Well, the storm's power has lessened. I wonder if it's possible to get outside, maybe survey our surroundings..."

Sue looked up when Rhys said that, and picked up both her bow and sword. "I'll go with you, Rhys. We need to stick together if we're to even spend a second on the outside."
"I'm coming too." Victoria picked up her own lightning tome, and had her Mend staff handy. "My magic... is more effective against those fiends. All of us... let's have a look around... and see if we can get to this Merlinus's shop easily."

Before anyone leaves this house, we must have supplies readied. No one in their right mind would go out unprepared, and I certainly will not condone such foolish actions. Would you be so kind as to fetch some parchment and a quill? Someone will have to tally up our supplies." 」
「 EDIT: The boy whipped around, fury clear on his face, "Sue! You will do no such thing! I won't have any friend of mine out in that without extensive preparations!" Stomping his foot rather childishly, the sage's eyes were bright, almost tearful, and he addressed the priestess, as well, "And you! You saved me. I will not repay you by sitting back and watching you rush off to your death!" 」 ¡`It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! `Soon the bells will start. `And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing. ¡`Right within your heart.`¡

"Parchment and a quill? There should be some in the library. Hang on..."
Rhys climbed the stairs, turning left into the library. There, on one of the desks, lay several books, some sheets of parchment, ink, and a quill--his notes on King Leander, taken from yesterday.
Apparently, Old Man Leander had been a king of this land some nine hundred years ago. However, history had deigned him only a footnote, noting little else about his lifetime.
"A nine-hundred-year-old king," Rhys said softly to himself. "I wonder how he managed to preserve himself this long. What made him come back now..."
He gathered the parchment, ink, and quill, and came back down the stairs, stuffing the parchment with the Leander notes into his pocket.
"All right, I've got parchment and a quill. Where shall we begin on supply checking?"
