Possible solution to A: perhaps the two of them had been on a boat fishing on a lake near by. They had a bowl in their boat that they were using to catch the fish with. Something happened to tip their boat over, and they drowned. They were found together, along with the bowl and taken to the place that they lie dead.
Possible solution to B: He needed to park his car at the hotel for a small fee of 5 dollars which he did not possess.
2nd possible solution to B: He saw a pay phone nearby the hotel and when he went to call the car mechanics to come help him deal with his car, but he did not have enough money.

Lumanny is well off. He is so wrong. Zeev - stick with the idea of water for solution A. Solution B needs some more surreal thinking.

Stop me if you already solved it: (<---HO the humor!) You got an infenit road of blocks. There is a frog that leaps a set amount of blocks each turn till the end of all times. You can look at one block each turn and tell if the frog is there or not. Given the starting point - how will you catch the frog in a fenit time?

You're thinking too... rigidly. Be more surreal with thought. Consider the possibilities.
