Umemi was glad that Serena had heard her and followed her voice "oh hello Serena I am glad to have found you" she nodded "I am now ready to go to the market if you wish to still come with me?" she asked softly with a pleasant smile on her face.

Mizu blushed, surprised that her desires had been so clearly written on her face. Despite that, she smiled, realizing that her Onee-sama had clearly approved of her desire to make the trip with them. She glanced surreptitiously at the Okaa-sama anticipating with bated breath the Okiya Mother's decision.

Tsuki awoke, trying to remember where she was. Sighing, she sat up, and remembered she was in her new home, training to be a geisha. Smiling, she got up, and cleaned her area, making sure it looked tidy and neat. After finishing that, she decided she would go and see if their was anything in the okiya that needed her attention.

Rune noticed that she spaced off,so she quickly closed her fan and put it away.She stood up and brushed her self off,and cleaned her area seeing it was a mess."hmmm better head downstairs"She said sliding the screen door and heading down the hall.Finally reaching the garden she looked around seeing that the stones were very dirty.So Rune ran back inside and got a broom and began sweeping the stone way.She enjoyed being outside,the cherry blossoms waved and bending in different ways as the wind blew.Rune's hair began to get a little annoying to her so she put it up in a bun,and continued to sweep. Tora arrived from a day at school and the tea house. I was late in the afternooon and the sun hung low in the sky, giving the Okiya a beautiful golden glow. "This really is a beautiful place," she thought. "Whats this?" she asked herself, her eyes landing on a piece of paper on the front door. "Tora- Mother, Mizu and I are gone to the market. If you get home before we do, please come on in and wait for us. Do as you wish, I have the maids busey. Signed Serena." Tora read to herself. "Okay!" She smiled.
Tora entered the okiya and walked back to her little corner of the room. She placed her fan on the bed and sat on her cot. She looked around to see if anyone was watching, no one was. Tora stood ever so gracefully and opened her fan. She brought it to her face and held it there while her other hand swirved and twirled. She slid her foot forward and put her weight on it, bending at the waist. She brought the fan down the length of her body, out as far as her arm could reach, then up and over behind her. Meanwhile, her other hand still slithered about. She stood back strait and brought her other foot in. Her hand stood perfectly still and a 90 degree angle while her other hand with the fan began to wave and shake, almost scared like. She brought it close to her chest and stopped, bringing her free hand across it. She closed the fan and let that arm fall beside her. He other hand twisted and curved then she out streatched it.
Tora sighed, memories. So many of them. She was thankful they were all good. She'd just performed a dance her mother tought her. It was more of a story, like all of the Geisha dances. It was her favorite one! Her mother performed it for her everynight, it was her bed time story. It was called Dance of the Snake. She sighed again, happier this time. She was on her way.

Taking out her cleaning materials, Tsuki headed for the laundry room, and began to glently wash and dry the kimonos within. She remember learning from her aunt that kimono were special, and if they belong to a geisha, expensive as well. "always wash them gently" her aunt had said, and Tsuki took the utmost care while washing each one, making sure to be firm but gentle. The only sound to be heard within the laundry room was the sound of feet moving and water running.

Rune finished sweeping so she took the broom inside and set it up against a wall. Brushing her kimono off and untieing her hair,she headed down the hall,she saw a maiko just come back so rune bowed and smiled as she pasted. Rune went into the kitchen to grab an apple to snack on quietly outside. So quickly she grabbed it and then headed outside,slipping on her sandals she walked around and sat under the cherry blossom. She then quickly started eating the apple,so she could go back to work. After three mins of snacking on the apple she headed back inside,slipping off her sandals she grabbed a bucket of water and cloth and began cleaning floors and decks. She sun started to set on her first day,She looked up from the walk way with the bucket in her hand. The sun glowed a red and orange color with purple and pink mixed. The scent outside smelled sweet and nothing made a sound expect the maids, geishas,and maikos running around or practicing. She then poured the water out away from the okiya and headed back inside for more work.

Upon finishing washing the kimonos, Tsuki felted her stomache grumble. Realizing she had not eaten very much that day, she quickly put away her cleaning materials, and headed towards the kitchen. As always, she bowed to those she meet along the way, and before she knew it, she had arrived into the kitchen. Grabbing something to eat, she then moved outside, so that the maids in the kitchen could do their jobs without her being in the way. She sighed as she sat down, taking a bite of her food as she did so. Reflecting on the day, Tsuki realized she hadn't seen much of anyone that day, and probably wouldn't for awhile either. Work demanded time, not fraternizing. Tsuki smiled. Though the work was hard, it was worth it, and she had managed to make a few friends at the same time.

Mizu nearly stumbled into the okiya, her arms filled with parcels. "Tsuki-chan? Rune-chan? Anyone?" She hadn't seen anyone outside on the short walk from the gate to the okiya's front porch, so she had carried the bags as well as she could manage, hoping not to damage any of the things inside. Setting down parcels wrapped with colored silks, she slipped off her zori, somewhat confused and rather embarrassed. Despite the fact that she had shopped with her Onee-sama and Okaa-sama for various things that day, and had been sent home first to take the packages home as the older two shopped further, the bright patterns of the silk had made her lose track of which parcel was for whom. "What would Onee-sama say...what would Okaa-sama say?"
"A-ano..." she called out, wondering if Tora was home yet. "Is anybody..." With a small chuckle, she chided herself. It's not like I've been a maiko for so long that I have completely lost my abilities to take chores upon myself as though they were merely like the picking of flowers in summer...I have hardly been a maiko myself for more than a few days...if only I knew which package was for whom... Still, with little effort, she picked up the packages, moving them to the main, inner chamber, and arranging them by color and size, talking to herself in soft instructions as she often did when alone.
"This one's the largest. The silk is so lovely, deep red with the pattern of a phoenix embroidered upon it with red, orange, and golden thread. I wonder whose this is for...probably Okaa-sama, it is the largest after all..." Her fingers ghosted over the delicate wrapping before she turned to the next one. "Deep green silk, what a lovely pattern of leaves and small, olive-hued vines. I never noticed those... I wonder what is in this package.." Tapping it gently, she set it beside the crimson-wrapped parcel on the table, taking up another one wrapped in silk of purple ranging from pale lilac to a deep violet. Wordlessly, she let her fingers explore the exquisitely smooth texture of the cloth with pure delight.
Realizing she had been daydreaming of the silken wrappings, she laughed to herself, quickly placing the remaining packages on the table for later sorting. The final packet, wrapped in soft, delicate cerulean silk decorated with embroidered dragons, tinkled gently with the muted music of fine jewelry. That one she handled with particular care and reverence, tucking it neatly in the shadow of the largest parcel so that Okaa-sama would find it easily later on, without having the package in plain view. Then, rising gently to her feet, she practiced the gentle, small steps that were taken by geisha to make it appear as though they floated above the ground, as she walked to the porch and settled into a comfortable sitting position, determined to wait for Okaa-sama and Onee-sama to return home from the markets.
