Alyse giggled. "Sure it would be nice," she agreed. "So long as I can take my books, and have at least a bit of time to read them every day. But honestly, do you realize how much more I can learn while I'm there? Or on the journey? And experience it worth more than just knowledge! It's far better!"
She winked. "I was serious about helping Adwin find a girlfriend, though," she laughed. "If he even needs help. He's a bit of a show off sometimes."

"Well there you have it, another reason to go traveling," Ryu replied.
He shouldn't have been so surprised by Alyse's reason to wanting to travel. It made perfect sense for someone like her.
"Can we go?" Naida asked it sounded so exciting, but Feng shook her head.
"I don't think we would be able to," Feng told Naida.
Besides the lack of rivers to have to travel with someone as young as Naida probably would not be wise.

Alyse's eyes lit up at Naida's question, and even Feng's response couldn't extinguish it.
"But you can!" she exclaimed. "Kara, didn't you say you would see about getting a portal to the Eastland once Lothiriel and Pen's palace is built? You could all visit that way!"

Kara paused and nodded at that, "Yes, yes I did. AS soon as the palace is done and as soon as we can get someone there so the portal doesn't end up all over the place."
The latter was going to be the hardest part.
"Who is going to be sent?" Ryu inquired softly.
"That I haven't decided yet."

"It is a far journey no matter where you start from," Adonai warned Kara, "but if you send them here first - whoever it is you will be sending - we will make sure that they have the best horses, and I will personally guide them."
He smiled. "And who knows? Perhaps we could even convince some of the others to come."

"I would be grateful to you for doing so," Kara admitted.
Now the question was.. was to find someone who was capable of riding a horse and going on a journey like that. That of course was going to be the difficult part.
"We'll try not to delay it too much."
"Not that it could be helped if we did," Ryu pointed out.
The time difference at times was a pain.

"And there is also the question of how will we let you know that the palace is ready," Adonai murmured. "Perhaps we could slip a note through the portal ... is it possible to just put a hand through? Or is the time difference ... dangerous?"
He would not go all the way through himself, he knew that he could never do such a thing - but what would it be like for his hand to be in one time, and his body in another?

Kara had never thought about it that way, in truth she didn't know since she had never dealt with a portal that had two different times to be honest.
"I don't know... I guess unfortunately the best way would just wait till someone arrives and really it would just be a wonderful reason for some to visit more often," she glanced at Feng, Ryu and Naida.

Haradhel looked at Kara thoughtfully. "I would imagine that we might not be seeing you for a while, once you leave, though," she murmured. "It will not be so long before you will not easily be able to travel through the forest. The palace, perhaps, yes, but not here."
Adonai still looked thoughtful. "But when you come through the portal," he murmured, "you do not go through all at the same moment ... a part of you comes first, then the rest of you ... perhaps the time in both worlds then passes at the same rate, or perhaps the hand would be in your world so little time that it would not even be visible ..."

This was also true... it would be a month at least, which was a very, very long time. She had to rethink about that, unless someone checked in every day there was no way of knowing.
"To be honest I don't know," Kara murmured, "That could be the case, normally when we're in groups we don't pause, lest we keep the others waiting and it's only a minute or so before everyone else comes through."

Haradhel smiled and rose from her seat. "At any rate," she murmured, "I should get back and get lunch ready. Kara, you're welcome to stay here if you like, I won't drag you back if you're not ready to come."
Shael smiled at Kara. "You're welcome to stay for lunch if you like," she offered, "though after lunch I'm afraid that I won't be much company ... Rhea needs her lessons ..."

"Well....." Kara looked thoughtfully at Miyu and Toshiro.
She knew how those two were.
"Miyu and Toshiro need to do their lessons as well," she admitted, "So it is perhaps best if we head back."
Unless they took their lessons here, they would have to go back for their lessons.

Rhea wasn't fazed in the least.
"But tomorrow I get to go to the ranch and have lessons, too!" she beamed. "So it's okay. Come on, I'll walk you to the forest!" And with a giggle, she skipped towards the door.
Shael smiled softly and rose to follow after them.
"What about you guys?" Aliya asked, looking at Feng and Ryu. "Are you going to head over or stay here?"

The twins thought about it for a moment looking at each other before looking back at Aliya.
"We'll stay here," Ryu replied.
Feng nodded in agreement, "We'll be fine being right here!"
"Does this mean we go with Aliya or are we staying here for lunch?" Naida asked curiously.
She looked up at her mother, her white hair pooling around her. A single finger at her lips as she looked up thoughtfully.
"Wait for us," Miyu told Rhea as she hurried to follow with Toshiro following at a more calm pace. It wasn't like Rhea was going to go too far anyhow.
Kara laughed softly at this, the children were adorable, it would be wonderful for them to have lessons together tomorrow she thought as she rose, turning to Feng and Ryu slightly, "Well do join us for dinner sometime, I know you three love it here, but it would also be nice for you to drop by."

Rhea giggled and slowed down a bit, walking backwards with her hands behind her back. "I won't go anywhere without you!" she assured Miyu with a grin. She pushed the door open and twirled out into the day. "It's so beautiful out today!"
