Jessica Malatori talen01 Wait, haven't we been through the Wicket thing before. Yeahhh... it's just the Spectres trying to be attention whores and chaos causers again. Or Captain Wickit at least. I thought the rest of the Spectres gave up doing this kind of stuff. Same old same old, nothing to worry about. Pretty much.

Not very nice to say about good friends of mine, Jessica. One should be polite in a place like this. We're here to forget our pasts, don't you agree?
...but I have the power! It ain't our fault Wickit's plans just so happened to be posted here. wink

*kisses dragon*
I'm loving the idea!
Chalk me up for the list of eligible bachelors. Might also want to add in the "ettes." not everyone can be male this days (although on the internet....)
Anyways, Sparty here reporting in, all that jazz. My to-do list for this year's annual is as follows:
-Win an avi contest. -Convince Chaos Rainbow to show up, then help him cause his namesake. -Meet at least one Hiver, and become best friends -Destroy one person's faith in Gaia. -Give one person new faith in Gaia -Debate the existence of UFO 14 with a believer. -Receive 6 compliments.
Well, let's get to it!

Well, let's get to it! Mr. Weird-Hat, pick me! I need Gaian Faith! Teach me the path! Well, sir. You have met your match. prepare to be purposefully persuaded pricelessly!!! A lot of people lately have begun to dispise Gaia. They despise Gaia because Gaia is making a lot of services cost money, and they do not want to pay money. BUT, Gaia is in fact doing this as a service to us, not them! i've done my research and found that Gaia approximately breaks even, including the salaries of paid staff. In fact, their salaries are not very high. Around $79,630 a year by my calculations, although obviously not equally distributed. Admins will make more, others will make less. Gaia Has been forced to charge us for services to offset the cost of designing and implimenting that service. The cash shop was to offset many of the games that have no monetary value. The G-Shop covers itself. MC's pay for server space, etc. Now that we know Gaia isn't gouging us, there's still the problem that so many new sponsorships are unwanted. The truth of this is that zOMG is funded by these sponsorships. Unless you want an ad at every loading screen, or a monthly subscription fee, this was the only way. Gaia has even made sure that these ads are totally unprotected, and very easy to block and remove. They get paid either way. And that concludes my half-a** arguement. Now excuse me, i need to take my dog for a walk. And no, that is NOT a sexual metaphor.

Now excuse me, i need to take my dog for a walk. And no, that is NOT a sexual metaphor. Exactly. The site was meant to be free in all senses of the word. However, as the site grew, monetary fees had to be applied. It's simple knowledge that money keeps a site running, and with the site exploding in size, the G-Shop, MCs, Cash Shop, and sponsorships are indeed needed. What matters is how far they are going to go with these monetary fees. From the looks of things, the only beef that many people have with the fees are the Cash fees for Aquarium items and the confirmed "Premium Sets" of zOMG. But even then, these are bonus features for what is meant to be a forum-based site.
