Spider-man: *groans again, stirs a bit more, and then shakes his head* ...Ow... What smells like expired milk? Oh, Eddie's here. Nevermind! *Notices own predicament* Uh... Does someone want to fill me in?

Deadpool: *reals back as fist connects, then turns to glare at Batgirl* Why you little- *attacks with a vengeance; movements are almost too fast to see* My point still stands, Joker! And she's actually screwed up enough that she might actually go out with me!
Spider-man: Not quite. I'd say that she's probably screwed up enough to date, say... Wolverine... By the way, I'm still chained up and completely confused, so...

Spider-man: So let me see if I've got this right. Joker's chained me up to a wooden board, and I'm supposed to... What? Just sit still like a good little captive for fifteen rounds? *to Joker* Okay, I know this is difficult for you, so I'll speak slowly; I have these nifty things called 'superpowers,' which means that I don't have to outsmart you or wait for backup like Batman does when he's in these situations. *Plants feet firmly on the board, does the same thing with his shoulders, and then pushes on both sides until the thick piece of wood cracks across the middle with a sound like an incredibly large bullet* Ta Da! And for my next trick... *moves chains on legs up and over the newly split edge of the board, freeing his legs*

Spider-man: *grins* Oh, goodness, have I touched a nerve? Honey, whatever ego I have is deflated regularly by a certain newspaper we all know and love; trying to use it against me is about as dumb as Eddie is ugly. *shifts slightly in chains* I said that I didn't have to call for backup in certain situations; since you are a magic user, the situation has changed. I obviously can't deal with you, so I'll call someone who can.
