Either way, they say, I have deceived myself and the situation must be rectified." He was speaking in a monotone voice that could almost pass for a mechanical recording. He had also stopped writing at some point and gripped his pen a bit tighter. When he next speaks, his voice trembles a little. "I can't do it again. I can't. I don't want any more of their... their 'therapy'. I can't. I can't."

As we reached maths class, I flew into the top window, above the door, and fell to the floor, turning back to Richard against my will, only Alice and Eliene could see. I blushed, wandering how Eliene would react.
I was speechless, and when the words came to me, they just slipped out. "Anyone who doesn't believe in what is real, and possible, is irrational." I hugged Gene again, I relised I raised a point that I regret, but he needed help with.

"You won't say anything to them? You said you wouldn't. Promise. Promise you won't. Please?" Gene was afraid, truly afraid of his parents even thinking he might be talking about his 'condition' he was meant to be cured of. Fear was not a rational emotion, he tried to remind himself, but it mattered not. He was afraid.

"Gene, don't worry, I won't, I won't even tell my perants, OK," I kept hugging him, ignoring everyone else in the room, "Don't worry Gene, you can even stay at my house if you want,"

"I can't do that. They have to know where I am at all times. They are very strict about that." Gene was calmer after being reassured once more that his parents would not be told. "It is alright, as long as they think I am the normal, rational boy they sent off to school this morning. Then there is nothing to fix and everything can continue as it has been."

"Well, you can tell them, your staying at a completely rational friends house," I stroked his hair while hugging him, and jumped when the bell went, "Oh, sorry about that..."

Gene also jumped as the bell rang. He had been too wrapped up in his own fear to pay much attention to the time that had passed. "You are a good friend." He says finally, and smiles. "Maybe I will do that." Gene gathered up his books and hoped he had not missed anything too important in class. Either way, he was glad he'd spent the time talking to Michella. Even if he had been cringing like a frightened mouse. He thought to be embarrassed, but he realized he was not. He was... happy seemed to fit. He was happy.

I smiled at him, "I hope your alright," I looked at my watch as I stood up, "Just one more hour of lessons, and I'll help you will what ever you need, you got a phone? You call your perants and tell them your staying round a friends ok?" I tried to be as sympathetic as I could.

Alice went up and behind Richard halting to a stop. The run had been nice, it had reminded her of the good old wild days. She waited for Elaine but as she turned around to wait, she saw a faint blush on Richard's cheeks, He has a blushing problem. she sighed, low enought that she was the only one that could hear .

"There are a couple of pay phones just outside the school; I will use one of those to call my parents. They might say no, but I can at least ask." Gene decides aloud and smiles. "We had better get to our next class." Books all gathered, he starts out of the classroom.

I picked myself up and went and saved three seats next to each other in class, drawing on a small piece of paper.
I smiled at Gene again, "Sounds cool, What class do we have next?" I patted around in my pockets for a timetable, I couldn't find one.

"Hmn... this way." Gene started toward his next class. He was going to be just about on time at this rate... not early. A bit unusual for him. So much was turning out unusual. But this was such a small matter; he could push it to the back of his mind. Gene slipped into the classroom alongside other students and quickly found an empty seat.

Baralai walked back over to where Gavner was sleeping to find that he wasn't there. "Maybe he was caught skipping he thought to himself switching back. "Wait if I go back down there I will get caught..... " He said switching back into his little form and climbing down the storm drain into the grass down below, and began sniffing around looking for him.

Elaine caught up to Alice, then took one of the free seats next to Richard, drawing something on a small piece of paper. "Hmm..." She rummaged through her bag and took out a slightly worn blue sketchbook and a pencil along with her math books. Opening it to a random page, she drew a slightly anime-styled version of Richard, with an arrow pointing to a crudely drawn bird (She didn't draw animals very well). Beneath that she drew Alice, a question mark, and herself. She carefully put the sketch book face down on Richard's desk.
