iFanService I'd like to start up my "Welcome to your Fate" thread that I had in the Rated R guild here. It's a thread where I bash on everybody's downsides and sometimes point out the good sides if they have any. I bash myself as well and give out some things we all need to improve on. It's fun, it's mean, and people seem to like it. I'll give you a link if you want to read it and I'm willing to pay gold to have the rights to make one. 
Okay, I'm going to let whomever happens to be reading this in on a little secret: If you want to do things like that in my guild, it's much smarter for you to just go ahead & just do it instead of ask me for my approval, when you probably know I'm kind of obligated to say no. I can't blatantly condone having stuff in my guild that Gaia blatantly states is against their Terms of Service, it just doesn't look very good on my part, & I'd suffer the consequences.
Also, regardless, considering this guilds like one big main rule is "NO DRAMA", I probably wouldn't support you having that thread no matter what. It sounds to me like all it would do is start a lot of fights & cause lots of people to be unnecessarily hurt & offended. I figure that it's very likely that the whole idea behind that that you have is to achieve some greater & more humane result through it all, but that doesn't mean that I think it will do anything more than cause an explosion of dumb arguments & hurt feelings. Plus,

... I just can't condone that attitude towards the general population of the world, or just my name guild.
If anybody is going to do something like that, ever, it's gonna be me blaugh

Well, I love photography, so why not have a photo contest?
Avi contest? We could chose a different judge every month or so and they could pick a theme.
Recipe thread? OOOooh! we could have a story contest. or do one of those things where someone says one paragraph or so and someone else carries it on.
Hmm....a recipe contest would be interesting. never done that before. Like someone could say "find a recipe for..." i don't know...asparagus. or hot chocolate. the judge would try some, and judge.
Prizes are always good.
Umm.....ooooh!! i got it. we could do a homecraft contest. like "make something that goes in a kitchen" and everyone could work on whatever their craft specialty is and like three judges could pick the winner.
Hmm....a book contest? those are fun and interesting.
We could have a drawing contest. Um...
we would definatly have to switch up the judges of these things every so often.
Oooooh!! and not tell anyone who the judges are! so even if you do know what the person likes, you don't know if it's them so it'd be even harder...and funner.

Fashion would be an awesome thread....talk about whose outfits we want to burn and such. Shallow topic, but fun.
oooohhhh that could be a contest too. Like "dress up like a tree" on a boring day or something someone could do it and get a picture sent in and be as creative as they want with it.
as you can see i love competition. and am good at suggesting these kinds of things.
ohhh! we could do where we dress up for real like our avatars on here. OR like the judges avatar whomever that may be....

Firstly, we had already hosted photography, avatar drawing, tektek, and writing contests in the past. Next, I'm not sure if recipe contest would be feasible, because, how can judges TRY it out? o.o Next, what do you mean by homecraft contest? If it's different craft speciality, then what would be the judging criteria?
As for threads, members can simply make one themselves, right?

I guess it really depends on how the topic would be started.. would it be about your favorite sports/ whos your favorite athlete or would it be.. which sports do you play, etc etc.
