I was just on the corner, silent as can be when Near Said
"I love you."
I couldn't belive it, But I was right. Near actually had feelings for someone! But, he isn't like that, that's not true, it was all a dream! But, it wasn't, it was as real as the light of day!
"So, mabey we should hang-" Risma was cut off because she ran into me, and we both landed on the ground.
"What are you doing, did you eavesdrop?" asked Risma.
"Yes but, i couldn't help it, i was curious and I didn't have any instict of leaving when I heard Near say...." I trailed off. I just absolutly couldn't belive what I was seeing. Near helped Risma off the ground and held her hand.
"B-b-b-b-b-b-but.... Uh?" I couldn't speak.
"I'm human, you know! I do have feelings like these even though what I do is so serious. I was once told by L that I should never give up on love just because what I'm doing my be distracted by it. I known Risma since she was 7 years old, and had grown quite fond of her. But I noticed that she had been lonley lately, and thought my chances with her at this relaxation point were almost too perfect. I do love Risma, and I won't EVER deny the fact of the presence of those feelings." Explained Near with so much sincerity, that I almost cried.
"Well then, want to hang out with us? I mean, we're going to spend the day outside, you know, The more the merrier!?" I asked.
"Sure, sounds fine with me." Said Near as we walked back to the others, the breeze blowing our hair and the sunshine on our face. And Risma seemed to have a smile that said: "I'll never need anything else in life, I am finally whole."

When we had finally caught up with everyone; Mello, Matt, and Hyde, i could see that Near was starting to get a little uncomfortable. Not too much so i didn't do anything about it. We managed to hide our hands from Mello to avoid criticism. "So..." Gone said and sighed. I couldn't tell that we were bored. (sarcasm) The look on everyone's faces said the same thing. What...to...do? I had been holding Near's hand long enough to the point that my hands were too sweaty. I slipped my hand away. I sighed in boredom. But it didn't really matter to me. I rarely got bored. I looked at Near and snickered. I was happier than I've ever been in a while. Near just smiled. That's when Mello bursted into laughter. "I.. I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAW!!" He said, still cracking up. Me, Gone, and everyone else stared at him and then Gone finally said, "I'm sorry for saying something as rude as this but, Mello, just shut the hell up." Mello stopped.

"Mello, just shut the hell up." Near had said with a total blank face. I tried my hardest to supress my giggles at Mello's face. It was some weird form of anger, shock and dare I say fear? I looked at Matt, even he was smirking at Mello being taken down a peg. I looked anxiously towards Mello for the come back. It was like chess, no chess took time. This was tennis, you had to react quickly or lose, there was no time to really think. And as of right now, the score was 15-Love.
((sorry im in a really odd mood right now))

((KK, Here I go again! XD))
"Why don't we all just sperate for a while, you know? Just be relaxed instead of fighting?" I asked.
"That sound fine," Said Near.
"Yeah, okay!" Said Hyde. And we seperated.
Mello followed me into my room, and I plopped onto my bed.
"How do you like the idea of me making you dinner?" asked Mello.
"Great! I'm sure you're a good cook," I agreed.
Then, I felt some sort of feeling. A longing. I looked at Mello...
I want...
A kiss.
Mello looked at me "Are you okay? You look, longing?" He figured it out.
"Yes, i do feel longing." I replied. "How did you know?" I asked.
"WEll, I've known you forever, so your expressions are easy to figure out. And by pin pointing what you're looking at, you want something from me?" He explained.
Wow, he was good.
"And the only thing I can think of is.... a kiss?" He asked.
I almost exploded when I nodded at him.
He blushed.
"But, we can't, we've been together only two days now-" I was cut off.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" He shouted playfully and laughed. "WE've know eachother ever since you came here when you were Three years old. how long have we been in love?" He asked me.
"Fifteen years?" I questioned.
"Exactly. We loved eachother from the start, but we didn't want to believe it. We wanted to deny it are whole life, just to let the feelings flourish! But, we both knew we were in love with eachother, we just never wanted to notice it. We wanted to be stupid to our own thoughts and surroundings. So on a technacality, we have been together fifteen years. I was ready for a kiss from you for 15 years..." He trailed off.
He was right. We did love eachother that long. It was right in our face! We've been acting like a couple together forever. Everything we do is like what couples would do, and we never relized it! We were stupid. ever since I saw Mello when I was half dead Watching him play hop scotch with the other kids. And even though he was with other kids, He was alone. I was allways hiding in corners, avoiding the others, until he came up to me and began showing me every tree, every rock, every blade of grass. I guess I always was ready for a kiss too.
And ever since I came here, those 15 years ago, we were a couple! XD wow, I never knew. We just needed to grow up first before we could take it to the next level. Everyone else might thik we've only been together for two days. But, really, we've been together 15 years.
"And, ever since I came to this orphanage all those years ago when i was three and saw your face, I've felt more alive then when i was really born."
Mello blushed. "All you have to say is 'Mello, I want a kiss' and I will."
Oh My God! I can't believe his words...

Matt and I went to his room for Mario Kart. He set it up while I sat on his bed and streched. A small sigh slipped out as he tossed me the controler.
"Something up?" He arched his eyebrow.
"Nothing, just feelin alittle lonly is all." I sighed again.
"Lonley? Um hello, I'm right here." He looked alittle hurt.
"No! Not like company wise! Youre great company!" I spoke quickly trying to undo the hurt face.
"Its just-"
"Its just what?" He stared.
"Its just, I don't know. Feelin lonley, like I said. Ya know? Gone has Mello and Risma has Near, I feel so...out of loop I guess. Sorry I'm being silly."
"Don't apoligize. Its normal." He patted my hand.
"Um thanks."
"No prob. Anytime. Now, chose your charecter!"
"Yoshi!" I responded immediatly.
"Huh."
"What?" I turned to him. "Something wrong with Yoshi?"
"Other than the fact hes a glorified dino horse?" I hit him with a pillow.
"Ok, Yoshis cool, its just I wouldve pegged you as the princess type."
I stared at him for a long moment that streched into eternity.
"Oh, your just begging for me to beat you!" And with that we raced.

I was sitting on one end of my bed while Near sat next to me. We just sat for a while in an akward silence until Near finally said, "So..." just to stop the uncomfortableness. I didn't say anything. Then we heard the door next to my dorm open and close and heard footsteps fading. "So, uh, this is wierd..." I said.
"I know."
"... Well, have you been busy for the last couple of weeks? You know, with the cases and your appointments and whatnot?" I asked. "Yes. But I'll let you know now that everything about the cases have to remain confidentional. I'm pretty sure that you understand why." Near said. I nodded and frowned. I knew why he couldn't give information but it kind of disapointed me. I sighed and didn't speak of anything relating to it again. I sat again in silence and akwardness. I didn't know what to say. It embarresed me for some reason. But after a while she had to ask him something that had been bothering her in the past. "So, I need to ask this. Do you... really... love me like you said you did?" I asked. He stared at me with wide eyes and I could tell that he couldn't believe that I was asking that. "Of course! What... Why would you ask something like that?!" He said surprised. "I don't know... it's just that something like this has never happened to me before. I want to make sure that this at least goes a little right." I said quietly. Near smiled and laughed a little. "It's ok. I'm an honest person. Do you really think that I would decieve a woman's feelings like that? And besides, you're my first love I've had in my life. Obviously, I don't want to mess this up, especially with you of all people." He said. I smiled and I couldn't believe what he was saying. I've finally found someone...

I was lying on my bed, all alone. Mello was going to cook. Everything that has happened so far has been so drammatic. i can't believe haw much i cry nowadays. i got up and decided i would pay Near and Risma a visit.
"hi," said Risma. Right behind me, Near walked through the door.
"Another fast appointment," He smiled and told us.
"Well, i wanted to visit you guys, since Mello was going to cook us something to eat." i said.
"That's fine." Near and Risma said at the same time.
"So Near, what's up with your cases?" I asked.
'I cannot say much in public, but they have been going well." He replied. "These cases are easy, practical, and I wish i had a challenge, Like L did."
We all froze.
"So, why aren't you going somewhere with mello tonight?" Asked Risma.
"I was home sick." I replied.
"home sick?" asked near.
"This is my home. it has been more of a home then the three years with mom and dad. All of the other orphanages i'd seen had children being kept proper and unfree, like a dictation. But when i came here, i was cared for, and it was like one big family. I was welcomed and treated well. When I came here, i was half dead, in quillish whammy's arms. And even though i screamed and cried, he allways smiled, and said 'It'll be okay, young one'. He never gave up, and neither did anyone else. I just wanted to stay here, where I belong for a while, before I have to leave for a while, mabey not even seeing it again. I want to remeber Quillish while I can..." I trailed off, and A salty tear came down my face. Near leaned forward and gave me a hug. He said:
"Everything will be alright, little one."
I did a little giggle, and A big smile went accross my face. Then I relized that more than one tear came down. It was a flowing, shimmering river of memories and happiness. i never wanted it to end.
And as I sat there, with my eyes closed and my memories flowing through my mind, i saw quillish whammy's smiling face saying,
"Everything will be alright young one. if you must cry then you must. Fellings are important to have,but soon, there will become a time where you feel nothing at all. please take advantage of these moments, and always remember what you live for. Never give up on emotion while it still thrives, young one."

After a dozen races I began to grow bored and restless.
"Wonder what the others are up to..." I mused. "Everythings probly smoothed over by now."
"Wanna go find them Princess?" I glared at Matt for a momment. He had been calling me Princess just to get under my skin.
"Why not, short italian plumber!" I got up.
"Wow, 'short italian plumber'? Thats a mouthfull Princess." We walked down the halls until we found Risma, Gone and Near.
I heard something about Quillish, and I suddenly had the need to sniffle back a couple tears. He had been like a grandfather to me. Out of all the people that came and went in my life he was perhapes, no, he was the most influentioal person ever.
"Whats up?" I stood in the hallway, unsure if I should enter.

"Nothing is really happening here, I was just explaining why I wanted to stay here for a couple of days, You know, How I feel at home!" Said Gone.
"Can we join you?" Asked Hyde.
"I guess, I mean, were not doing anything, just talking?" Said Risma.
"Where's Mello?" Asked Matt.
"He's cooking dinner for us," I replied.
"For all of us?" asked Near.
"I don't know, he just said 'How do you like the idea of me cooking dinner?' And yeah, that's it!" I explained.
"So, What'll we do now?" asked Hyde.
"I was going to go practice combat with the Katanas I got from L the day I met him," I said
"From L?" Asked Near.
" Yes, from L. The day I met him, I showed him multiple of my talents, and he thought that my combat was pretty good, so he bought me some better katanas than what I had, because the ones I had were rusting." I explained.
"Oh My, THAT'S SOOOO COOL!" Shouted Hyde.
"So, if you don't mind, or, better yet, you can all come!" I offered.
"Cool, sounds like a plan!" Said Matt, excitedly. Everyone nodded. And I ran to my room to find my combatant outfit. ((Refer to page 7)) Then, I showed them to the feild where I usually trained.

I had never actually really seen a sword before actually sharp things in general were revoked from me a long time ago. I sighed at the memory apperently your not supposed to stab someone in the tigh with a steak knife even if they were totally calling you out.
"So Gone, how long have you been training with katatnas?" I asked as we neared the middle of the field.

"I've been practicing this ever sice i was 9 years old!" I said.
They all stared at me.
"What, I can handle knives at the age of 9?" I said "No prob!"
I stood with one arm up with the kantana pointing down, and the other katana pointing up, crossed under the other one in a X shaped form. I took in a big breath. And then...
"HIYAAAAAAAA!" I shouted and ran with the katana's pointing back tword my friends and down at my sides. I was almost at the dummy when I flipped and stabbed one katana in the head, and slashed at it's back. I looked at my friends, their eyes open.
"I'll never mess with you gone!" Shouted Mello.
"I know, i'm ba-" I cut off
Wait, Mello?

When had Mello gotten here? I think I was too wrapped up in Gones completly awesome and more than a little scary performance. I almost felt bad for the dummy....he never saw it coming....maybe cause he didn't have eyes hmmm Id have to draw eyes on the dummys later, maybe then they could see Gone coming. Then that might be alittle disconforting to see death running at you. I shook my head. Why was sympasizing with inanimate objects?
