Leena pulled off the outer layer of her robe, wearing another one beneath that that wasn't too skimpy. Laying it down at the edge of her bed, she hid her two swords that were still on her at this point, making sure she could get to all four if she would need to. She spoke with one of her spies quietly, she always had one here but mostly to keep an eye on Eve. Now it was just to watch the kingdom. Dismissing him, she looked up as Roran walked in, glancing to what was in the bag, taking a peach for herself and a smaller loaf of bread. "Thank you again Roran." She murmured after swallowing, laying on her bed while nibbling a bit of her bread. Slipping beneath the covers once she was done with her peach, she pulled the sheets up so almost her whole head was covered, her eyes still peeping out from beneath them. She continued to just nibble on her bread, glancing to him as he lay on his bed, unsure of what to say to him so she just remained silent, brushing her white hair away. When she was done with the loaf, she just remained there curled up in her bed.

"I sent a spy of mine to the castle so that the King will be ready for us tomorrow. He knows of his existance and has permitted it." She finally said, just figuring he would want to know. Then she closed her eyes and curled up some more, all hidden except from her eyes up.

Roran lay still, except for his breathing and the movement of his arm and jaw. The bread wasn't the best, but it would do. Hearing her thanks, he shook his head, letting her finish the update as well. "No need for the thanks," he told her, opening his eyes and turning to look at the pair of eyes and forehead gazing back at him. "You obviously don't enjoy being recognized in public, and I understand. As a hunter in, techniqually, enemy territory, I know how strong the desire for being invisible is." Giving her another smile, he sighed gently, letting himself sink into the mattress, relaxing.

Leena blinked a little as she heard him, her golden eyes finding his. Though, they did lower, he had hit it right on the head. It had been embedded into her to try and stay as low profile as possible. "Yes... At first it was simply because of the fact that my parents were of different heritage and race, then there were some other things that the people didn't approve of. I grew used to remaining annonymous." She murmured, pulling down the covers enough to show the smile that played across her lips before vanishing, noticing his as well. "Then it was just the best way to fight." She pulled the covers back up, lowering her eyes once more, some of her hair falling across her face.

Roran nodded. "It's a good way to fight, too. Being anonymous, your enemies can't get the info they need about you." Looking to her again, he let out a soft sigh. "So, how difficult is it to be queen? I've heard it's easy, but that can't be true." Gazing into her golden eyes, he almost got lost in them. "Is it?"

She smirked a bit, nodding her head once, a hand appearing from beneath the sheets to push the hair away, letting her face be completely shown since it was just him. "Precisely." Though, at his question, she blinked once, sighing lightly. "I'm not exactly your normal "queen." Usually they stay in their castles and don't go around from village to village to personally help their people. It can be a taxing job, but it has it's easier parts. Though, it's never really easy... You always worry about your country, you have to stay in the peoples favor, have their trust and whatnot. And you must not really care too much about yourself." She answered after a moment, holding his gaze, feeling the spell that would keep him calm start to wear off. "What about being a hunter? Obviously I've heard things, but they may be false. I tend to only listen to sources I can trust, and I'd rather hear it from one." She smiled softly, nibbling on a tiny piece of bread, sitting up to grab her robe, pulling a flask from it, taking a sip. She tilted her head a little, offering him some. "It's just some wine. Might help wash down the bread." She had scooted back up the bed, needing to fix her robe a bit, not showing off anything to him. She removed the cloth that she used as a mask, her neck exposed now. There was the tip of a mark on the side of her neck, not seeming too bothered if he saw any scars.

"Knowing your people should be the number one priority or being a monarch." He said dully, closing his eyes lightly. For some reason, though, he suddenly got a bit angry over it. "I mean, what good is a monarch without knowing their people? It's when monarchs don't pay attention that people like Altarion sneak up and take over!" Taking a deep breath to calm down, he let it out slowly. "I'm sorry," he apologized, looking to her again and taking note of the scar. He didn't stare at it as to alert her, and so he continued. "And a bit of advice, care about your own life as well. If something terrible were to happen to your people, you'll be needed alive and well to make amends. Your health should be near the top of your priorities, in fact."

Looking to the ceiling again, he shook his head to the wine. "As a hunter, I was taught to always stay on my toes. Plus, as a fighter, one's guard can never get let down." Blinking a few times, he shook his head again. "As a hunter, we leran the ways of war from the beginning of our lives. Our father's usually, if they are a normal Mothian citizen, go hunting once a week. From the time we turn five, we accompany them everytime. Our mother's go quite often too, but they stay home when we'd be too young. Bows are the original weapon of choice for a Mothian hunter. Once Altarion took over, though, that changed. Bows suddenly became the ranged weapon of choice. Swords, lances, axes, daggers, a whole array of melee weapons became the main choice. And so the days of Mothians being warriors and mercenaries began."

"As for being a hunter, we learn many different, useful skills. For example, I can get anywhere without making any noise. I can hear just about anything creeping up on me, and my skill with a blade and bow are nearly unmatched within the groups of people in my rank and below." Looking to her, he smirked, "I can even take som people higher than me." Looking back to the ceiling, his smirk never faded. "My stamina is high, and I can take down nearly any beast who challenges me. Tuin would be tough, and I could lose, but I'd still be on me. He's a vicious thing, though." Sitting up, he went to the window again and looked down at the stables. "Your horses had high stamina. I'm impressed. You should ride a Mothizard. They look very similar to Tuin, but are much much smaller. They aren't bulky, and don't have such vicious jaws either. They're head is more distinguishable too. But the way they run, it's very similar. They kind of slither and run at the same time. Mothizards are very stealthy as well. Stealthy, and fast." Turning back, he moved his coat to a chair sitting there, took his black shirt off, and got under the covers. "Fast enough to run on water too." Letting out another sigh as he closed his eyes, he smiled softly. "You'd have a blast riding them. Maybe when this is all over I'll take you on a hunt." Rolling onto his side to look at her on the other bed, he blinked at her. "Is there any other questions I can answer, Lady Leena?"

((Sorry. Band camp FINALLY over. Had a break down this morning. It was AWESOME. stare ))

By the time the sun began to hit the snow, Eve was awake and moving around, making breakfast for Tuin and Cori, while also using elvish to cox some grass to grow so Cori's horse could eat as well. The half-elf princess never really seemed to eat. It was no problem, she never lost stamina, but she would never eat, or at least when others were watching. To her, it was not uncommon, as Selena never visibly ate around others either, but to everyone else, it was concerning.

Tuin smelled the food cooking and lazily stood up, still trying to wake up a little, now just plopping down beside the fire, waiting for his meal. "We're heading into town today, correct?" He asked the princess, yawning, though his sharp eyes carefully followed her every movements. At the question, Eve stopped what she was doing and nodded slowly. "There are a lot of Altarion's soldiers there. There's a good chance I could get caught today. But we both know I'm not going to die just yet, so please stop worrying for the moment. We'll deal with that issue when we come to it." She sighed.

"What about Cori?" Tuin muttered, lightly flicking his tail in the ranger's direction. "I don't know. Selena keeps telling me to lose her, but last time I did all this by myself, I died..." Eve responded. The creature nodded and then nudged the girl with his head. "Then we will just let her stay until further notice."

"Eve, you're wonderful and amazing and a cooking goddess and if you purposely burn it again I swear I'm gonna strangle you." Cori mumbled sleepily, waking at the smell of the food. She stiffled a yawn as she got up, walking around the edge of the cave to wake herself up more. She stopped when she reached Tyri, starting to care for the horse. Grooming, and taking out some food for her as well as what grass Eve had managed to make grow.

"Yeah yeah. Just wake up, would ya?" Eve laughed. "I'd like to try and get to the first city in Talagand today." She said, giving Tuin his breakfast, patting the beast on the side.

"Hey, I'm moving and talking. I'm awake. I'm not the one who was talking about waffles in her sleep." Cori retorted, going to sit down by the fire and taking her food.

((true story. At a friend's birthday apparently Emily was asleep, and held up a conversation with another friend about waffles.))

((Nice. My hand is just bleeding everywhere...))

"What are you talking about?" Eve asked with a stare. Tuin looked as well and waited to hear the reasoning.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 09, 2008 8:01 pm

"You don't remember that? No, I guess you don't... A year or so ago, we'd ran off camping or something. I was still awake and you started talking about waffles, responding to whatever I said. And you were still asleep." Cori said, grinning.

"Well that is odd. I don't think I've ever eaten waffles before anyways..." Eve sighed as she thought back on it. "Oh. Alright fine." She murmured under her breath before looking at Cori again. "Selena has had waffles. Not me." She said.

Cori laughed. "And that's even stranger." she said, starting to eat. "When was the last time you ate? And no, I'm not gonna make you, just making sure you're actually eating and not starving yourself." she asked.

"My eating schedule is my own business. But I will tell you that I ate recently and that is all you should care about." Eve said quite curtly. Both she and Selena had many reasons for the odd eating habits and all eventually made sense, but both were sensitive about eating and did not really like anyone to ever know about their food or anything.
