I've been to hell and back
All the snow storms
And the bathroom stalls which you pulled me out of... <3
This can't last forever.
Mai had just finished throwing the shinobi she attcked, quite a bit away.
"He didn't have a scroll." she stated plainly, before jumping down to meet Ibaraki.
She shook her head. "You are such a boy." She said, unimpressed.
She crouched down, and reach into the girls pocket. Rummaging around, Mai got hold of a scroll.
She pulled it out, and looked at it.
'Heaven' was written on it.
"Yes! Just what we need." She informed her team mates. She handed it to Ibaraki.
"You'll be able to proctect it better." She said, giving him a small smile.
Mai turned in the direction of the tower. "Let's go into the tower, m'kay? No need for pour strategy now." She said, before speeding off towards the tower.
They had made good time, being the first day and everything. And only with a couple hours into the challenge, it was amazing.
"Better than last time's score, I suppose." Mai muttered quietly, as she broke through the fern and stood before the tower.

"Born ready, ya,"
Kaede intoned monotonously, drawing out her two fans. Flipping them halfway open, she crawled off into the shadows, becoming barely a moving patch of darkness, which was quite remarkable considering she wore orange. She appeared on the other side of the clearing, opposite to Kiku, swaggering out of the trees as if she had been coming from that direction all the time instead of sneaking around in a semi-circle.
"Hey, kids! Hand over the scrolls and no one gets hurt, ya."
Kaede was doing an almost eerily good impression of an arrogant Genin, hand on one hip, lip curled. The Grass shinobi scrambled to their feet, drawing kunai and senbon.
"You'll have to fight us for it!"
One yelled, a taller boy.
"Dude, easily enough done, ya. Bring it, weaklings!"
Kaede obviously dropped her guard in a taunting gesture, and two of them charged at once.
Wow, this was easier than I thought... All Kiku has to do is knock out the dude protecting the scrolls, and we're clear...
Fending off the attacks with ease, she glanced up once at where her teammate was.

Kiku crept overhead from the trees before dropping down on top of the Scroll Guard, slipping a senbon into his neck to silence his screams to a gurgle.
"Get em big kitty," Kiku whispered, releasing one of her ink beasts to pin the Grass genin down as she went for the scroll. The switch was made easy enough with the boy pinned down and silenced.
She stood up and flashed over to stand behind her partner.
"I-I..I don't n-n-n-know Kaede-chan," she whimpered in a damn good imitation of her mother. "We already l-l-lost one..."
Fortunately they hadn't noticed their teammate behind them.
"Man, sister dear, I'm a man, not a boy." Ibaraki took the scroll in hand and grinned. "And I'm very thankful you have such faith in me. So, the tower? or scouting to try and spot one of them?"

Though the Grass ninja were facing away from their teammate, Kaede could see the job was done, although in her opinion a little over the top. But what she know? The less pathetic shinobi the better.
"Don't worry 'bout it, Kiku, I got it."
Kaede managed a huge, over the top grin which looked out of place on her normally blank face. She looked like she was really getting into this. With a sudden movement, sliced her thumb on the ribs of her fan and rubbed the blood on the half-opened silk. In a huge poof of typical 'summon' smoke, she held a far larger fan in her hand and with a huge swing sent the two Grass Genin to hit trees on the other side of the clearing. Either they were knocked out or the force of the blow killed them, Kaede didn't check. She rubbed her cheeks, resuming her normally emotionless face.
"That's that. All that smiling hurt, ya."
She inspected a fairly large gash on her arm.
"And they managed to get me, ya."
She remarked with some sort of suprise. The kunoichi shook her head and glanced at her teammate.
"We are go?"

Upon hearing Mai's words, Jubei violently slammed the male shinobi into the ground. He jumped into the air and landed upon the fallen ninja with all of his weight, then jumped back into the air and towards the tower.
"See ya later!"
He landed moments later at Mai's side. He had an enormous grin on his face.
"That was a lot of fun! Let's get into that tower and rest for the next three days, hm?"

"Heh. No way! I hope there's prelimenaries." Mai said, brining up the subject again. She was really looking forward to it, to show off some new techniques.
No.. if there's prelimenaries, just use your old jutsu. Save the new for the third exam. A voice told her in her head, and Mai nodded in understanding.
"No all we have to do is wait for Ibaraki... and then we can get to our fate. Hey, won't sensei be meeting us inside?" She said, mind switching into a different root.

Jubei laughed and began walking towards the tower entrance.
"Yeah, I guess so. Prelimenaries would be fun, but the chance of having someone know your moves..."
He gave her a "you know that I'm talking about the Uchihas" look.
"...that could completely throw off your chances of winning. The third exam will be the most fun. Oh yeah! Kakashi sensei probably will be there. I doubt he'll be surprised, though."

Mai gave a 'me?' look, and then laughed.
"Awww! Don't worry Jubei-kun! It'll be fineeeeeeee~!" She said happily.
"Maybe he will. I bet you've come up with something completely different to show him!" She said helpfully.

((Why is Ibaraki always so late? >.<))
The silver hired teen was right behind his sister and friend, keyword being Was. At the entrance to the tower he got distracted by the cute chick from the jounin tower who handed out missions on tuesdays.
Needless to say he turned on a bit of the Uchiha charm and started to flirt pretty heavy, setting up dates at the Rusty Shuriken and asking her to dinner.
Most of it was all a front though, and something of a game. Sayaka was batting for th other team and had a loyal girlfriend. So while she was a complete tease, she was also a good distraction and an easy trap to pull on anyone who might be watching.
Kiku nodded before reaching into her upstairs purse, also known as a bra, and pulling a lighter out. She flicked it until fire came and within seconds, the other teams Heaven scroll was on fire.
"Do we want to keep scalping or just get it done with?"

Kaede flipped her now-gigantic fan shut, and it shrunk back to its normal size with another typical puff of smoke. She slid both her weapons back into their holders at her hips, and began to deal with her gash.
"I reckon we should quit when we're ahead, ya. If we run into the Akatsuki we'll probably be absolutely buggered. However, if we do run into any more likkle Genin we'll own them."
She turned her blank green-eyed gaze to her teammate.
"Sound good?"
It wasn't really much of a question, but still.

((Hey, LK. Minron. Did we ever decide what scroll we have? xD))
Emi watched Rikou tie the three Genin up, and released the jutsu as soon as they were secure. Hey, I must be getting better at this. It didn't even tire me out.
Hiro sat beside her. "Do you have any pain relievers?
"Yeah. Mom always makes sure I have them." Emi pulled a bottle of generic pain relievers out of her pack, and handed them to her brother.
"Is this the right scroll? I'm not too sure if its the one we want."
Emi shrugged. "I dunno. I think Hiro has it." She glanced at her brother, and waited for his answer.

(No hahaha. We'll just say we have the heaven and they had the earth.)
Hiro took the pills that Emi handed him hoping to get better with that. Hiro got on his feet and took out the scroll.
"We have a heavens scroll. What to they have?" Hiro asked
Rikou put out his hand with the scroll in it,
"Eureka! They have the earth. Looks like lady luck is on our side", giving a faint smile. "Now lets go to the tower. I want to sleep already." Hiro launched off into the air jumping on trees towards the tower.

Jubei thought for a moment before looking back at Mai.
"Hmm... I don't know. That whole Sharingan business is tricky. But hey, I'm in weight training. I heard a story about Rock Lee besting your father in a fight. Even though Sasuke could see his every move, he was too slow to react. That's how I'll win against you or Ibaraki... if we ever have to fight, that is."
He smiled and then remembered Kakashi.
"Something completely different, huh? Well, he says I'm already pretty fast and he doesn't even know I'm wearing weights. If I need to remove them, I'll be at my full speed, and Kakashi won't be able to even see me!"
He chuckled to himself triumphantly.

"Beat me? Hah! You won't get past my looks!" Mai said jokingly, throwing a peace sign in, for kicks. "It'll be like your father's sexy jutsu, only with clothes." Mai said teasingly.
"And Ibaraki... as much as I'd love to insult my elder brother, I can;t beat him." Mai admitted.
