Josh approached the club at a run, rain water running down his hat, his shoes and the bottom of his jeans soaked from running on the wet sidewalk. He took his hat off, shaking the water off of it and running a hand through his hair before putting it back on. His hands were cold but otherwise he was feeling pretty good. Excellent.
He went inside, the club was pretty empty since it was early in the day still. Josh wasn't sure if there was any band playing for the night but chances were the place would be filling up soon enough. He kicked his foot around, trying to get some of the water off, but he continued to leave a wet trail behind him anyways.
"Hey, Georgie. Anyone around upstairs or, well... Reg told me I could stop by. To get a guitar and figure out when to show up for playing with the band and all." He tried to keep the excitement from his voice but he knew he was speaking louder than necessary.

"Urrr, uhh...." Josh looked behind himself as if to verify how much water he had tracked in. He had only figured there was plenty of other people who dragged in much worse than a little rainwater, and there were definitely people who made more of a mess of the floor. But he didn't dare make either of these points to Georgie. He preferred his a** stay white.
"Sorry, Georgie, I didn't... sorry. I'll be more careful. But thanks!" He took off up the stairs before he could make an idiot of himself, hoping he wasn't leaving a wet trail or risk getting yelled at more on his way out. He ignored the other comment, mostly because he agreed with it. Too young and too stupid seemed to sum him up pretty precisely.
He reached the top of the stairs, looked at the door. He knocked, not knowing if Reg had warned them or not and not really wanting to get scolded any more. "Hello? S'Josh..."

*Opens the door, but pauses to say hello as a yawn escapes her and she can't help but stretch her arms over her head which draws the thin material up to expose her tummy*
Hey! I remember you. ...Is everything okay? You didn't walk all the way here in the rain did you?
*Steps aside so he can come in, the tiny bassist looking a bit haggard and quite sleepy. There was a box near the couch closest to the tv, over a dozen or so of tiny kittens were curled up in it, empty formula cans and tiny feeder bottles littered the floor around it*
Lo is still sleeping and Alicia is out somewhere, but I guess I could help if you needed something, or?...

Blinks, smiling a bit awkwardly. "Ana, right? I uhm... well, Reg just called me and told me to come over so I figured... I was out in the rain anyways so I figured I would just come here. Nothing else to be doing and..." He wrinkled his nose, water dripping down his cheek and off of his chin.
"He said he picked me for the band, did he tell you? And said I could come over to figure stuff out, I guess. Don't know really, but seemed like a good idea." He went into the room, looking around. It felt warm, comfortable. There was a smell of smoke, but it was undeniably pleasant. "But uhm, if I'm bothering you, or well..."
He spotted the box, and crouched down in front of it, careful not to drip water or anything. He was momentarily distracted from why he had come, because really, who could resist a box of kittens? "Ahmahhn, so cute." whee "Where did they all coooome from~? They're so tiiiiny..."

I knowwwwwwwww. They're so adorable.. I had the one litter for about a week now because the mama kitty abandoned them, and then the other litter I got from the a kitty rescue because they needed foster mums, and I'm really good at it... Someone has to help the poor things.
*Blinks and crouches down beside Josh after she shuts the door*
I knew London had gotten in, but we haven't really gotten to talk to Reg much. He just told Lo to go ahead and set London up the night after the auditions. That's really cool. I guess you'll be doing weekend shows, or like Saturday nights since you're still in school...
We'll have to figure out a schedule. We have a bunch of equipment just in the back of the loft, you can pick whatever guitar you want from there and take it back with you. I'll get you a case and stuff... *Smiles*

"Awwww..." Uses one finger to pet one on it's little head. "That's so cool. And once they are bigger and stuff you give 'em back to get homes? Man, so tiny.... I never had any pets before or anything so... it's just crazy how small they are." Leans back a bit to sit down on the floor, still petting the one.
"Yeah, what a lame time for Reg to have to go off... but from what I figure he has his phone back now, least for a bit. But yeah I'm gunna... I gotta try and keep up with school and all for now, so it's... it'll be cool to just do weekends anyways at first even if I didn't have school." Josh took his hat off and set it on the floor, ruffling out his hair.
"Sounds good though, I'm like..." He took a breath, laughing a bit. "Really pumped. Do you guys, then, like wing it, what songs you do? Or should I practice anything specific or?" Josh pet the little kitten one last time before standing up again, leaving his hat for now, intending to go look at the guitars.

We usually have set lists that we switch up, but we all like doing requests from the audience... You're definitely going to want to listen to a lot of different genres... I could email you some of the set lists and some sheet music if you want. That way you have it at school.
*Gets up and goes ahead of him to drag some of the guitars from the small recording area*

Tags along behind, shoes still squeaking slightly on the floor. His clothes, too, had gathered that damp feeling from the rainwater soaking into them. Like the water had to soak in before it started to evaporate.
"Sounds good. I'd like to think I know a good deal of the songs you guys play, at least in my head. Pretty good with playing from memory, I mean. But I would hate for something to crop up I wasn't familiar with..." Josh thought about if, figuring he was just being paranoid. He knew a great deal of songs he perceived as good. But if he didn't know a song he wouldn't know he didn't know it, to know if it was good? sweatdrop
"Ana, do you know magic?"

Do you mean like magic tricks, or...*Trails off as she pulls her wand free from her hip, having had it tucked in her belt*
Actual magic? Sure. I graduated from Hogwarts. Why?

Shrugs a bit, scratching his head. "Just... thought about it all a sudden, you know. Wondered, it's not like you can tell by looking at people, I mean. It's weird, I guess. Maybe just because everyone doesn't use magic as frivolously as I like... anticipated. Like if I had known before I could learn magic I woulda been like, yeah I can use it to cook and like change the teevee without getting up and s**t like that but once you... you know it, you don't really use it for s**t like that."
He blinked, scrunching his nose a bit. "Just was thinking out loud, dunno."
Josh looked around the small recording area, picking up one of the flying V bass guitars carefully. He always thought the V's were cool but a little obnoxious at the same time; he liked them a lot but could never feel serious playing one. He set it back in its place, smiling a bit. "Don't any of these belong to you guys? I know I am pretty protective about my own instruments..."

Well, really people do.. It's just you can't until you've come of age. I totally Accio things all the time.. Plus, featherlight charms if I remember to...
*Shrugs and watches him pick through the guitars*
These are just spares, really. I keep my bases under the bed and Reg's stuff is usually cased up against his couch. Lo's drums are in his room... So, we are to a degree, I guess.

Josh picked up a regular acoustic looking guitar, but it was electric with the look of being not. Wooden front, basic shape you would imagine a guitar to have, the bottom part just a fat looking eight. Josh liked the look of it, similar to his own first guitar but the paintjob was what really caught his eye. One side was classic wood finish, the other a zigzag of yellow and black. The guitar seemed as indecisive and all over the place as Josh himself.
He plucked the strings thoughtfully, little sound coming out since it was electric and not plugged in.
"M'really no good at magic but eh... feel like I got by fine without it before and all. I mean, just, the whole Muggle world gets by without it alright." He sat on the floor with the guitar, smiling.
"I'd rather be able to play music than do magic anyday. Prolly wouldn't have said that before I knew about it, when I first learned magic existed but..." He trailed off, strumming a small tune.

*Frowns, but watches him and can't help but smile*
Well, maybe you'll change your mind. Sometimes, it just takes getting used to, but it's probably one of the most natural things in life... Just not everyone can conduct it very well, ya know? It's no different than being able to play music, really...
Plus, you are joining a Wizarding band, I mean, I know not everyone in the band can do magic, but it's still nice to know more of the culture.
'm Muggleborn too, ya know. I was so shocked about all of it, I never did anything amazing in school as far as grades, but... *Shakes her head, waving a hand* I'm happy for sticking it through and learning.

"Mmm, I suppose. Godfrey is a good help, too so I get by. He's good at explaining things in uhm... my level of understanding." Bites his lip in thought as he plays Smoke on the Water. because who doesn't play that song when they have any sort of instrument in their hands?
"It's funny you say that because I am actually pretty good at like the book stuff, remembering events and things for History. Just not the hands-on stuff I guess." Josh really did like to learn as well but the school environment just never suited him. His mind couldn't stay focused on one thing, one sort of idea, for very long. Homework and writing papers was truly a painful experience. Thinking and knowing things and having to then write them out cohesively were totally different.
