Eric mulled it over, and an unpleasant smirk crept across the smaller man's face.
"If we spring him, that means I get to see the look on his dumb face that I, have, in this order, saved his dumb a**, am married to his sister, and have also committed an act which renders him unable to b***h about me shooting him in the leg."

Hattie giggled, earning a cranky look from Kevin before he settled back into her arms. "Or you could just do it because your financie or whatever that French word is...." She paused, thinking then spoke again. "You could just do it for me. All shooting and French aside." She put her head on his shoulder playfully.

Laurel Talbot
Among the refugees was a young woman who looked much like the rest of them - tired, hungry, and in desperate need of a laundromat. The only unusual thing was a white streak running through her black hair.
Syx glanced over at the refugees her eyes looking from one face to another as she tried to keep track who was a prisoner and who wasn't. There were some prisoners after all that she didn't want getting back into the general populace. Naturally her eyes were drawn to the bright contrast of black and white. She looked at the young woman carefully, trying to place her, but couldn't. She glanced over at Tu, "hey, you always have some kind of food on you, kid over in the corner looks hungry."

Tu gave her sister a grumpy look but pulled a packet of trailmix from her pocket. "I keep things on hand for emergencies." She clarified. She glanced at the dark haired girl and yelled out a "hey, kid. Catch!" before tossing the bag of trail mix in her direction.

A.C. jumped up and caught the bag mid-air, retreating to her bit of wall with a look that said anyone trying to take her prize from her might get bitten.

When Tu yelled, the girl looked up, startled, but made no move toward the bag. When the others looked away, she scooted behind another group of refugees.

All of the sudden, Sol sneezed and disipeared right out of Captain's grip. She found herself in the middle of a crowd of people, wondering just what happened. "What the f...." she thought. "Oh well, at least that creepy guy is gone."
PostPosted: Mon Jun 02, 2008 7:47 pm

The girl with the white streak in her hair yelped in surprise and backed away when Sol appeared out of nowhere right in front of her. Others followed suit, and soon the crowd had melted away into other parts of the room, leaving Sol standing alone.

Sol looked around in confusion. "What? What happened?" She started to panic, looking around frantically for what had disturbed the people. She started to back away from the center of the room, hoping someone will warn her of whatever danger was in here.

Many of the people were staring at her. Some were whispering to each other - only a few words could be heard. "...just appeared outta nowhere...", "...one of them..."...

Laurel tried to lose herself in the crowd, making her way unobtrusively toward the door. She didn't like the mood in the room - people were already on edge, and finding a meta-human among them just might set them off. She shivered at the thought.

Sol backed right into Laurel without realizing it, half because she passed right through her, and half because she was still looking for what disturbed the entire room of people.

Jarred walked out of the ship, wearing a loose fitting shirt, his guns left behind. The bus had landed a bit to the side of the ship, and Arch was inside, doing something unseen. Possibly playing with an alien pole. Who knows?

Jarred made it over to Eric. "So what's going on? I miss anything after getting thrown?

"A ghost!" she gasped, and fled through the door.

Skulblaka screamed and fled out the door, following Laurel, who seemed to be the only one with a handle on the situation.

Laurel risked a glance behind. The ghost was still in pursuit. Had it been sent by her, to bring Laurel back?

"H-hey! Wait up!" Sol cursed and ran faster. She got a good grip on the girls shirt, but continued to float behind her. "Slow down! Your draggin' me!"

One man tried to take away A.C.'s intercepted food. She took a cue from the story of the first A.C. and kicked him in the head. The street punk regretted it immediately... but then, so did the guy trying to take from her.

She figured that made them even.
