Ok, heres the bridge crew slots we need to fill: Pilot, Copilot, Gunner, and Systems operator.
Pilot is taken by Des. I can fill a command role so I dont need to be a Copilot if someone wants the job. Copilot aids in flying, covers navigation, and can operate the systems of either of the other two stations. The Gunner slot has to handle the turret, power management, life support, and the shields. The Systems slot has to handle Sensors and communications and also manages the boarding, docking, and loading function of the ship, serving as our eyes. In addition, we still need a Medic.

I’ll be co-pilot if you want to do the Mal thing and I can handle the other bridge positions in a pinch. I suck at playing a medic.

Should I play an older more experienced character? Or keep it a greenhorn with a brand new license?

You'll have to pull double duty on the Bridge as well since no one bothers to investigvate what we ACTUALLY need for personel. Here's our ship, and I think you'll like what you see. http://deckplans.00sf.com/CEC/Barloz/Barloz.html

I like it. I think I just read a book with a ship like that in it.
With all but one characters close or in their thirties I was thinking of playing a younger character of around eighteen or so. She would be able to learn what life’s really like out in space.

Sounds fine. Though Missing's character is 12 or something, you would still be the youngest crew member. (i dont count stowaways as crew and I cant think of any position I can have a little kid serve in.)

Yes. I'm using one, or should be using one at least. By now its certainly gained its title as the Mos Eisley Special.
And Ive no use for a Cabin girl as the situation may be.

So you’re willing to hire on a junior pilot to co-pilot and run the shields and weapons as well as the sensors and communications? I learn fast.

I recomend you co-pilot and work the systems. I can handle Gunnery work, thus freeing you up to do other stuff. @Missing: So you're a River without a Simon. You really do serve no function but bring me trouble. Theres not even someone useful that shepards you around that can offset the amount of trouble you'll cause me. So why the hell would I let you stay on my ship?

Regardless, you're an undisciplined, immature, emotionally scarred, Force sensitive child. No part of that descriptor compells me to want you anywhere near my home and place of buisness.
