*Reina sat in the main hall and waited for Edward and Roy to return so that she may speak with Roy about the State Alchemist test. As she sat there she thought about how proud her mother would've been if she was still alive. She sighed out of boredom and sadness. She hung her head.* I wounder were they are. *She said to herself. She lifted her head slowly and looked around. She noticed the front door to the main hall was open for some odd reason so she slowly stood up, straitened out her skirt and walked over to close it. As she got to the door she began to feel weird as if something was wrong or amiss. Reina turned towards the main hall then back outside. She began to walk out when suddenly she just froze in her spot for no reason.* Whats happening.* She wispered lightly. She heard someone yell something to her but she could reply or react. After a few minutes she was able to move again. the whole time she stood there she was terrified by something but yet not knowing what it was just knowing it was there. Reina very slowly and carefully closed the door trying not to make any sounds at all. She turned lightly then walked over to the bench one again and sat down now thing about what just happened.*

Confused, her mind whirling with the unending stream of thoughts, Kat ran blindly from the large room, away from Riku and all those other people and through a door, down hallway after hallway untill she bacame lost in the building.

The wind around her had calmed, and her mind was beginning to clear, but Kat was still lost. She kept walking, figuring she'd eventually find her way out.

She turned a corner and ran into an official holding a file (Envy). Kat gasped and became nervous, getting the feeling she ws not supposed to be there. The official standing in front of her gave her a stangely familiar bad feeling as well.

"U-uh..."

Envy looked up and saw the girl. He also recognized her as the alchemist from the train. Then he remembered that he was in disguse and if he mentioned the fact that he knew her name, she might panic.
"What are you doing here?" He asked Kat coldly.

Yuriku

Riku turned around looking for her newfound friend she was no where insight. That's great just great, everytime I even find a trace of something useful I end up losing it she thought, sliently watching the rest of the crowd. Sitting in one of the many couches, observing for now. Opening the set of maps she recently purchased, and traced back her route. Until relocating Kat, she had appearently had a run in with a offical. Rushing over to help her friend the official seemed erriely familar.

"Oh great! One more person that shouldnt be here." He hissed. He didnt want to fight, but these two were constantly bothering him. And it would give him away.

They were staring at him as if in fear. Do they know who I am?
He clutched the file tightly in his hands.
"Well, what do you want?"

Envy-san
He ignored her as he struggled. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? LEGGO OF ME!!!"

Adine clapped a hand over Envy's mouth and hissed a "Shhhh~!" in his ear. She quickly released his head (but not his hair) and gave him an acidic glare. "Will you quit shouting?? You git! you want to get us both caught?"

Envy-san
He stopped struggling and turned his head to look at her. He stared at the crimson red fingernail for a split second, smirked, and looked into Adine's eyes. "Ooo... death threats. I think this one wants a fight." He cooed sharply.

She scoffed crassly and rolled her green eyes.

"Shut up..." she grumbled. "Threats aren't really my style. I prefer to kill first and talk later..." She lifted one sculpted eyebrow and sneered. "Of course, that could get difficult with you...it would take far too long..."

Envy-san
He stared at her blankly and then his eyes turned to rage. "You have some nerve saying that to me. Follow your instructions?! Yeah, sure...... havent you learned that I only work with you for MYSELF. How do you do it? I mean, seriously.... you go running around trusting ME, a homunculus. You know you are going to die in the end, right?"

Her eyes flashed like green fire and she reached out to snatch the collar of Envy's tight black shirt.

"No you listen well, you little ingrate," she snarled. "If it weren't for me you wouldn't have access to half the things you've seen over the past few days, and you sure as hell wouldn't have such an easy time prancing about HQ right now if the power hadn't so...'conveniently' been blown by this wonderful thunderstorm, now would you?" She released the fabric and sent him stumbling back a step. "Don't you dare threaten me. I trust you only as much as is necessary, I won't be turning my back on you for an instant!" She shook her head. "Play games on your own time, Envy...we've got work to do. So shut your trap and pay attention."

Adine glanced at her writswatch and tapped her foot impatiently. What the hell was taking Envy so long? How long did it take to find a file hidden behind a drawer?

Then she paused, and wondered if perhaps he had run into a snag? She squinted in the darkness and then sighed, reaching into her pocket to find her penlight.

"Envy, you moron, what have you gotten yourself into now...?" she growled, clacking down the hall in her heeled shoes. She turned a corner, trotted down the stairs toward the secured basements, and reached into her jacket to get her keys. She needed a key to get into the secured parts of HQ, and lifted her hand to stick the key in the lock--

"Oh, d'anam don diabhal..." she swore under her breath as she saw that the door had been left open. "Ah~, ni moran thu! Envy! Have you nothing beneath that spider plant on your head?" She barged through the door and cast her green eyes about the dimly lit storage room looking for Envy and praying that he wasn't posing as her. How awkward would it have beento have someone see two of her...?

She rounded a corner and screeched to a halt when she saw two figures standing before who she assumed must have been Envy.

"Oh, s**t..."

Envy-san
They were staring at him as if in fear. Do they know who I am?
He clutched the file tightly in his hands.
"Well, what do you want?"

Adine felt her stomach plunge to her feet. Who the hell were these children? And what in the world were they doing here? In HQ, for one thing, but in the secured basement??

She shot Envy a dirty glare, even though it seemed he hadn't noticed her yet.

Envy, you moron! Why didn't you shut the door behind you? Now you've been seen!!

She saw Envy's eyes flicker and shift toward their normal purple shade as his temper flared at the children's inquiring looks. Deciding to take matters into her own hands, she stuck two fingers in her mouth and whistled loudly, making everyone (including Envy) jump from the shrill sound. Once she had their attention diverted, she stormed over to the little ones, her hands on her slender hip and her head tossed in a look of furious empowerment.

"Well, well, well, what have we here,"--she glanced at the uniform Envy had molded for himself, sighted the insignia on the shoulder, and noted the rank--"Sergeant? A pair of intruders?" Giving Envy the best I'm-going-to-kill-you-for-this smile she could muster, Adine took to a knee before the smaller of the two and noticed a map in her hands.

Her thoughts of being sweet and gentle with these children were suddenly grossly detoured.

She snatched the map from Yuriku's hands and gaped at it, then at her.

"You, little girl, where the hell did you get this map?" she cried, slapping it with the back of her hand. "This is a top-secret blueprint map of the inside of HQ! You can't have this! Who gave this to you?? Do you have any idea what chaos could ensue if something like this were to get into the wrong hands??" She folded the map up and tucked it into the breast pocket of her jacket, then eyed both children sternly. "Now, I don't know who either of you are or how in the world you got down here...but this is a highly classified area. Many soldiers can't even get into this room without special clearance...much less a couple of civilian children."

She saw that the both of them looked...delightfully frightened of her and were no longer paying any attention to Envy. She decided to tone down the meanness and instead cast a glance at Envy behind her.

"Sergeant," she said sweetly, "do me a favor and go call security, I'll keep an eye on the children until we can find something to do with them, all right?" He started to protest, so she flashed an even bigger smile and growled through her teeth, "That means get the hell out of here and I'll take care of this before someone sees you and finds out you're not really a soldier, you dumbass..." Her eyes widened briefly, and she nodded her head toward the door. "Meet me by the fountain out front after dark and we'll talk. For now, just get out of here..."

He got the point, and quickly fled, looking disappointed that he hadn't been given the opportunity to beat up the intruders. He had a look in his eyes that Adine didn't like, and made a mental note to catch up with him later. She turned her piercing eyes back to the children and smiled softly.

"Okay, kiddies," she said, taking the shorter of the two by the shoulder and leading them out of the second basement, "let's get going. I'll take you two up to the lobby and we'll try and figure out what to do with you." Her tone became serious. "But do you two realize how big a deal this is? Even though you are children, you have breached National Security. This isn't something that will be permitted to go unpunished. Would you like to tell me just what you two thought you were trying to do...?"

((just FYI, the words in italics that I imagine most of you don't recognize...? Adine is swearing in Gaelic. She is quote the bonny Irish lass...so I thought it'd be more in-character to have her slide into her native tongue when she's upset. Ah, but I dare not repeat what she's said....heh heh heh....))

Once she had their attention diverted, she stormed over to the little ones, her hands on her slender hip and her head tossed in a look of furious empowerment.

Envy's eyes slowly morphed to their normal violet as he glared at the two girls. He was staring them down, and they were obviously frightened, even though they couldnt see through his disguise.

Suddenly, a loud whistle broke the silence, and Envy nearly yelled out, but remembered where they were. "s**t, woman! What are you trying to do to me?" He whispered as he shot a cold glare back at the one who whistled, who happened to be his favorite person, Adine.

Adine McLearynn
She saw that the both of them looked...delightfully frightened of her and were no longer paying any attention to Envy. She decided to tone down the meanness and instead cast a glance at Envy behind her.

Meanwhile, Envy was giving Adine rude gestures behind her back.

Adine McLearynn
"Sergeant," she said sweetly, "do me a favor and go call security, I'll keep an eye on the children until we can find something to do with them, all right?" He started to protest, so she flashed an even bigger smile and growled through her teeth, "That means get the hell out of here and I'll take care of this before someone sees you and finds out you're not really a soldier, you dumbass..." Her eyes widened briefly, and she nodded her head toward the door. "Meet me by the fountain out front after dark and we'll talk. For now, just get out of here..."

He stopped with the rude gestures and frowned at Adine.
"Fine." he said bluntly. And with that, he walked off. I hate her.... I hate her.... I hate her...

Kat watched after the strange official. Then she looked at the sleezy-looking red-haired woman who had whistled and dismissed the man. She told herself not to worry, that they were governemnt agents who worked here. They could help her and Riku.

Still, they gave her a bad feeling. Taking a deep breath and pushing the nervousness out of her mind, she confidently brushed her violet hair behind her ears, looked the short-skirted woman in the eye, and said, "Hello, I'm-" she stopped. Something in the back of her mind told her not to tell the woman her name.

The woman glared at Kat waiting impatiently for her to finish her sentence.

"... I'm new here. I... got lost."

Kat turned to Riku. "This is my friend. Um..."

She nervously brushed at her plum cloak and picked lint from her black pants. She was afraid of this woman. Why did she keep getting such a bad feeling from her?"

"... I'm new here. I... got lost."

Kat turned to Riku. "This is my friend. Um..."

Adine fought the urge to tap her foot in impatience. These children seemed to have no idea what they had just stepped into. She plastered on a practiced smile.

"Now, now, sweetheart," she oozed in a saccharine voice, "if you got lost, you should have stopped and asked someone for help. Especially since the power was lost, everyone is a bit on edge... You're lucky you weren't found by someone else, you might have gotten hurt, or arrested on the spot." She quickly pulled the door to the fileroom closed tightly behind her, making sure to test the lock before holding up her flashlight to make sure both little girls were still there.

She gave another fake smile, and moved her hand to the purple-haired one's shoulder.

"All right, you two can explain everything up in the lobby," she told them, and then shot the other one a dark look. "But, where on earth did you find that map, child?" she asked. "If someone is involved in espionage, if somoene is trying to sabotage HQ, we really need to know about it..."

And if there is someone else who might prove useful to Envy and I... she added to herself with a wry grin, of course we need to know...

Opening the doorway from the staircase and ushering the young children into the lobby hall, she cast her green eyes toward the reception desk at the front of the building. Her lip curled in disgust.

"Excuse me~!" she called, and the security guard at the desk snapped his head up from attempting to read by candlelight whatever periodical he had been paying attention to instead of his duties. "Excuse me, but...I think someone needs to come have a chat with these children. They were found trespassing in the archives..."

He looked shocked.

"Ah~! Miss Adine!" he gasped, throwing aside the newspaper and leaping out from behind the desk. "Wha...where...? These kids were...?" He glared at the children, as if he blamed them for his being caught playing around on the job. "I'll...contact the brigadier general immediately!" he cried, diving back behind the desk and picking up the phone receiver to dial the number for Roy Mustang's office.

Adine sat the children down on a long bench in the lobby and stood before them with that same feigned smile across her pretty face.

"Now, girls, we're going to have someone come talk to you about this," she told them. "You have to be honest with him, and answer all his questions. He's the highest-ranked officer on duty at the moment, so his word is law. If you fail to tell us what we need to know, you two could be in a lot of trouble, do you understand?"

Her vocie was nothing but pleasant and nonthreatening, but the children cast uneasy eyes on her, as if they could see a snake on her shoulder waiting to bite them. She smiled inwardly. Ha~, perhaps these little ones were more perceptive than she gave them credit. She cast her eyes back to the incompetent guard.

"Yes, Sir, Brigadier General Mustang, Sir," she heard him say, "they're in the lobby now. Come right away, please!"

Adine sashayed over to the clerk and leaned on the desk, pressing her bosom forward enticingly toward him and giving him an innocent look.

"Guard," she cooed, "would you watch the children a moment? I left something in the basement in all the mess, I really must go retrieve it."

He tore his eyes from her chest to meet her eyes, swallowed hard, and nodded once. She winked at him, and then turned around to face the children.

"Now, you two be good for the guard here," she said in a syrupy voice. "I'll be right back, and we'll figure out what to do with you two while you are here, all right?"

And with that she disappeared into the darkness of the hall again, her penlight casting a tiny stream of white into the encompassing black beyond the reach of the candles in the lobby.

((I just realized that...my posts are ginormous. eek I'll wait for someone else to say or do something before going any further. Er...I feel like I'm using up all the space. sweatdrop I guess I'm really a storyteller at heart. whee ))

Riza Hawkeye Chuui
Riza remained beside Roy's desk, as she had not been summoned to join them. She wasn't sure what he had in mind, but she didn't really care at that moment. She was feeling rather poorly about the whole thing.

Riza glanced at Havoc, who was looking at her rather sympathetically, and brown eyes narrowed. Not at him, mind you... No, she was far too preoccupied with dark thoughts of how to keep Adine away from this office, and she looked past Ed and Roy at the closet, her thoughts swimming in malice.

Nobody messed with Riza Hawkeye and got away with it... Adine McLearynn was sorely mistaken if she thought she was going to be allowed to work her wiles on Roy Mustang...

Havoc jumped at the look on Riza's face. She looked as though she were wrestling with demons of remorse and fury at the same time. He had a sudden urge to approach her and ask if she was all right...but feared that interrupting this epic battle between emotions under the woman's skin would end up leaving him injured.

Instead he chose to send a glance in the direction of Mustang and Edward.

What did the junshou have in mind...?

Hagane no Winry
Hagane no Alphonse

Al turned slighty white at the mention that Izume had been able to tell Winry where he was, despite his note not mentioning Central City at all. He had an odd sensation, like he was being watched somehow, and shivered involuntarily. Man I wish Ed where here. He was always so much better at this sort of thing...

Winry made a face at Al's paling complexion. What was wrong with him...?

She reached a hand out and plucked at the drenched fabric of his shirt, knitting her eyebrows together. Maybe the rain was bothering him...?

Hagane no Alphonse
"Yeah, that would be good." He turned and addressed Ashtoreth in an attempt at sounding calm. "I'm sorry about before, Ashtoreth, but as you can see I have a friend from my home village here now. Ashtoreth, this is Winry Rockbell, a good friend of mine." He gestured to Winry, then turned back towards Ashtorth. "Do you know of an inn we can stay at while we are here? It looks like that may have been the last train in here for the night, and we need a place to rest and dry off." He scratched the back of his head nervously as he asked.

Winry's eyes went wide for a moment when looking at Ashtoreth. She squinted slightly. She clasped her hands together in front of herself and bowed in greeting to the stranger.

Straightening again, she remained pleasantly silent, standing behind Al. Her eyes remained transfixed upon Ashtoreth. Something about the girl bothered Winry, and the mechanic couldn't put her finger on exactly what.

Somehow, that made it worse.

Ashtoreth stared as the girl bowed politely, then quickly mimicked the maneuver before turning to Al, "Well, there's Central HQ, but if that doesn't work with you there's an inn about 2 streets down."

Ash seemed to be thinking about something, "I feel as though I forgot to mention something..." She closed her eyes to focus and then snapped them open again, "Of course! Al, if you're looking for Ed, he's at HQ."

Ashtoreth smiled, happy with her accomplishment of remembrance. Her smile dissipated slightly as she found that the girl, 'Winry.' she mentally reminded herself, was staring at her with a strange look.

Riku glared at red head, having her map snatched away and punished as a mere child. Did more than ticker the her off, she was infurated. Wrentching away from the woman's firm grip, she stood her ground. But it was too late, the other offical was gone , narrowing her sliver eyes and was once again dragged to the lobby. There was nothing for her to do now but sulk. Her friend Kat, didn't seem to like her either. Kat was trying to explain that they were lost but the older woman wouldn't listen. "Who are you?" Riku asked facing their escort before she left. Her voice was flat, but loud enough to heard though out the lobby room. (( wow alots happened))

Adine was already halfway down the hall when she heard the silver-haired youth call after her. She paid her no mind. She had no time to asnwer the questions of children. Besides...she had the map, that was all she needed. Now to make a copy. Surely the brigadier general would want the original map...but Adine wasn't about to let such a good resource go to waste. She ducked into one of the side business center rooms at the end of the hall and clicked the door closed behind her.

She set the penlight on top of a shelf and shone it down on the floor in the center of the little room. Pity, she was hoping she wouldn't have to resort to such methods...she hated to make use of her talents in such public places... Ah, but desperate times did indeed require desperate measures. She glanced around the room (as if in fear the telephone and desk might snitch on her) and reached into the jacket she wore, removing a small pendant from where she wore it hidden beneath her shirt.

Etched into the pendant were a few latin symbols: The symbol for air; the symbol for fire; the symbol for water. She dropped the necklace onto her chest over the jacket, then pulled out the map and unfolded it. Then she went into the desk and pulled out a blank sheet of paper. She placed the map on top of the blank sheet, and made sure the edges lined up. Adine affectionately ran her fingertips over the necklace and then spread her fingers.

The necklace began to glow. Between her palms was formed a small pocket of glowing air. She turned her hands, and let the glow grow brighter, the air between her fingers growing warmer, until she was satisfied it was hot enough to do the trick. Thrusting her hands out in front of her, she slammed the ball of glowing air into the map, filling the room with a blinding flash of gold and white that forced her to close her eyes.

The light faded, the heat subsided, and Adine opened her eyes again, a grin sliding across her face as she moved the top sheet and nodded crisply at the clean lines of the flash-copy of the map the heat had created on the blank paper beneath it. Nothing like a little sudden heat to force the carbon lines of ink to burn a second copy...

Folding up the new copy of the map and sliding it into the back of her shoe for safekeeping, she replaced the original into the pocket of her jacket, hid the necklace securely beneath her shirt again, and retrieved her penlight. Then she quietly left the room, closing the door behind her.

No one knew Adine very well... She liked it that way. It kept her safe from the prying eyes and inquiries of her peers. She maintained a low profile, she kept to herself, and she put up an aloof and standoffish aura about her that made others nervous. That way, she kept people from learning about her. No one knew she could use alchemy...no one knew much about her past. She certainly didn't want word getting out that she knew how to manipulate elemental alchemy... If Roy Mustang found this out, there was no way she would be able to continue the plans she already had set in motion.

And there was no way Adine was going to let Mustang ruin her plans...

In the lobby, the guard saw the younger of the two children jumped up and shouted after Adine, and he quickly scolded her.

"You can't talk that way to her, you little tresspasser," he chided coolly. "You two are in a heap of trouble right now, so I think it's in your best interests if you just sit tight and keep your mouths shut until Brigadier General Mustang arrives." He glared coldly into the intense purple eyes of the smaller child. "That woman is Adine. Adine McLearynn, and she is to be treated with the same respect you would show one of the soldiers around here. She may not have stripes on her shoulders, but she's ranked higher in this place than I am, so you'd best speak to her more politely, or things may just end up getting worse for you..."

Adine clicked her way back up the hallway, and the guard quickly stopped chiding the little girl and straightened his back as she approached.

"Did you retrieve what you lost, Ma'am?" he asked, and Adine nodded.

"Yes," she said, and glanced around, her eyes flciking to all corners of the room. "Has the junshou arrived yet?"

"Not yet, Ma'am," he replied, and went back to his post.

Adine took a seat beside Kat and studied her fingernails.

Hurry up, Junshou... she thought deviously, a long thin smile creeping across her features. I can't wait until things get into full swing...

Riza Hawkeye Chuui
Riza remained beside Roy's desk, as she had not been summoned to join them. She wasn't sure what he had in mind, but she didn't really care at that moment. She was feeling rather poorly about the whole thing.

His eyes played a quick tennis match between Ed and Riza. He found himself feeling bad that he had snapped at her, yet at the same time, he felt what he had done was right.

Sighing softly, he looked back to Edward. A small smirk crossed his face.

HaganeNoRenkinjutsushi
Edward jumped a bit as he heard Roy address him. Swallowing quite hard, he stood and met the dark gray eyes that were beckoning him. He found his stomach filling with dread as he walked toward Roy. He wasn't quite sure what Roy had in store for him, but he was almost sure it couldn't be good. The tone of voice Roy had been using reminded him of the voice that lectured him on occassion before. Sighing, he stood up straight as he reached Roy.

The smirk that was pressing his features widened at the look on Edward's face. Noticing the smirk, he took note that Ed seemed to cower yet a bit more. Frowning inwardly, not outward, Roy wondered what had happened to the boy to make him this timid and quiet around him.

He opened the closet door while Edward was standing there before him. With a small sigh, he felt around in the closet for a moment searching for the article of clothing that now appeared to elude him.

There it was! He felt the soft material of a very worn red jacket that had been left behind. Pulling it out, he looked to Edward. "Hagane no... please close your eyes." His words came out as an order, not as a question.

With that, once Edward closed his eyes, Roy swung the jacket around Edward and perched it on his shoulders. "You can open them now." He laughed inwardly, as he was sure Edward thought he was only being called to the office to explain what had happened for four years. Truth be known, Roy didn't really mind not knowing for a few moments. He wanted to give the boy what he had lost.

He smiled a bit at the look on Edward's face and then stole a glance toward Havoc then toward Riza. "That coat was all that was left of you in this world. I held on to it in hopes you would return one day to claim it. Though you haven't claimed it, I thought I would present it to you. I hope it's still to your liking." With that, he drew Edward into a brotherly embrace, gently resting his hand on the younger man's back. The embrace was almost protective. Sighing deeply, he looked to Riza.

He really had missed that guy.

Despite her dark mood, Riza couldn't help but smile at how surprised Edward seemed. It was true...she knew that Roy had kept the coat, though she supposed he hadn't been aware she had known. She had come across it one afternoon while shuffling through the closet looking for a jacket she had misplaced. Upon seeing the worn old fabric of the red coat, she had reached out to stroke it fondly, wishing for Edward's safe return one day.

She absently wondered if those wishes had been answered in this way? Or if it was mere coincidence? She chuckled to herself, supposing that harboring such thoughts was terribly illogical of her... Of course, nobody listened to the wishes sent into infinity by one single woman who missed an old friend.

But she couldn't help but wonder...if perhaps Roy had done the same thing once or twice...?

Honoo no Renkinjutsushi
With that, he drew Edward into a brotherly embrace, gently resting his hand on the younger man's back. The embrace was almost protective. Sighing deeply, he looked to Riza.

He really had missed that guy.

Riza jumped when Roy looked up at her, his arms wrapped around Edward's startled shoulders. She felt her heart quicken at the look on his face. He looked like a father who had just been reunited with a son thought dead...or a child who had just found his most precious posession after fearing he had lost it.

She swallowed hard, suddenly feeling all the worse for having scolded Roy. What did it matter who he looked at? What did it matter what he felt for someone else? Regardless of his feelings in return, Riza loved him just the same, and even if it turned out to be one-sided in the end, it wouldn't change her affections. She would protect him to his final day, no matter what happened.

Smiling at Roy gently, she walked up behind the two of them and added a hand on Edward's head, but said nothing.

Fighting the sudden urge to reach up and touch the side of Roy's face, Riza withdrew and stood a few steps away, her heels together and her back straight. Her eyes moved fondly from Roy to Edward, then spared a moment to glance over at Havoc.

A pair of seductive green eyes flashed through her mind, and Riza's fists clenched in determination. If that vixen Adine McLearynn wanted to sink her fangs into Riza Hawkeye's dear ones...she was going to have to get past Riza first, that was for sure.

After all...a hawk's talons were far sharper than the wits of any fox...

Light_Ashtoreth
Ashtoreth stared as the girl bowed politely, then quickly mimicked the maneuver before turning to Al, "Well, there's Central HQ, but if that doesn't work with you there's an inn about 2 streets down."

Ash seemed to be thinking about something, "I feel as though I forgot to mention something..." She closed her eyes to focus and then snapped them open again, "Of course! Al, if you're looking for Ed, he's at HQ."

Winry took a moment to process what Ashtoreth had just said. She had to be kidding... or perhaps she meant a different person? An uncomfortable knot found it's way into the blonde girl's stomach. Just who was this Ashtoreth girl...?

Light_Ashtoreth
Ashtoreth smiled, happy with her accomplishment of remembrance. Her smile dissipated slightly as she found that the girl, 'Winry.' she mentally reminded herself, was staring at her with a strange look.

Gnawing on her lower lip a moment, Winry took a small step forward, around Al.

"Um...?" She asked, somewhat timidly.

Don't sound like you're frightened of her, you idiot! You just want to know what she was talking about!! If this is her idea of some kind of sick joke, it's not EVEN funny...

By now, she'd gone through some many different expressions in the span of four seconds, she probably would have made herself think she was insane, had she been looking in a mirror. She shook her head quickly.

"Who were you talking about... when you said "Ed"...? Surely, you can't mean Al's brother..." She glanced over her shoulder at the younger Elric, as if asking him to support her statement.

Ed disappeared four years ago... so why... no -- HOW could he be back in Central...? This girl must be out of her mind...!

((Okay, Ash... I'll go along with this... but uhm... how would your character have known Ed was at HQ? I think us Canon characters need a bit of an explination here... v__v; ))

~Reina stood and stretched. She was getting very bored and impatient having to wait for Roy and Edward.~ All i want to do is be able to take the Alchemist test. ~she said a little heatedly to herself. Reina looked around then at the main hall doors~Hmm well maybe I'll pass the time by walking around in town. That should be nice!~she said with a kind smile. She turned towards the door, opened it, then walked out. The sun was shining brightly that beautiful Tuesday afternoon. She looked around and saw a food vendor.~Well I am a bit hungry.~She put her hand into her pocket and pulled out a few coins~I hope this is enough. `she said as she walked over to the vendor~

Envy closed his eyes slowly as he waited gloomily for the arrival of Adine. He had found a confortable spot on the fountain, which had died when the power blew. water still drizzled from the spouts, and the drops echoed loudly through the emptiness.
He wasnt too happy with Adine. She would probably come quicky, yelling her head off. I swear, whenever I'm around that woman, I can feel myself age!!
The room was empty and he hadnt seen anybody since the encounter with Kat and Riku, and the fountain had him hidden well. So, Envy slowly morphed back into his normal form. It was better that way, he hated the fact that he had to diguise himself as a military official. He put his hair up into a tight knot so it would keep off his neck and sighed. Why is she taking so long? Is it that hard to punish a couple of kids?
He leaned back against the fountain and stared into the darkness ahead of him.
