Rhaim was finally able to focus on the words of the pages again and was able to thus decipher a small bit more concerning the jutsu. Apparently it was conducting with the water flowing from ones mouth as the medium, which of course limited when and where the technique would be effective. At least this way he would never have to worry about having an accesible water source since the human body was made up of roughly seventy percent water. This also however meant that if his mouth was in some way blocked then it probably would not be able to be performed well. Though if that were the case one could use it as a way to commit suicide in case they were caught and interrogated by an enemy. The young Nara boy scratched his head as such a morbid thought came into his mind. However it was soon followed by the consideration that one then could feasibly use it to drown another under the pretense of a kiss. The boy was uncertain as to how he had come to such thoughts however did not cease to entertain them.

Rhaim continued his researching to find that the jutsu was created with water from the saliva rather than the stomach or some other vital organ. This was great information since it meant that the user could still perform it even if he were to have one of those organs wounded. This also gave a bit of insight as to why the property of the liquid would be sticky rather than slippery. All in all the understanding of the jutsu as a whole was coming together quite nicely for the young Nara. With any luck he would be done soon and could either find and copy the scroll or head back to the meadows to see if he was missing anything crucial, though he was quite certain that he was not. However the thought of seeing how the small girl was holding up was definately worth the time. Last he had seen she was using the Henge no Jutsu to transform into objects, perhaps she had moved on to people. He was quite curious to see who she would decide to change herself into and how well she would do.

Rhaim drew ever closer to understanding the history of the jutsu with each page that he flipped onwards. Apparently this jutsu had in fact been created by a ninja with an affinity to water, however he did not create it to be used as a jutsu in and of itself apparently. The creator originally made it so that he could give himself a ready supply of water to be used for further water type techniques without having to perform complicated jutsus of extracting water from the atmosphere in low percipitation areas. This suprised the Nara young Nara boy to learn that a high ranking ninja would spend their time to create a low level technique that would benefit his posterity more than himself. This idea never even crossed his mind, as he had simply assumed that someone of high level would only try and create higher level abilities and not spend their time for others instead of themselves. Though the alltruism was admirable Rhaim did not forsee himself taking that route in life.

Finally finished with his research Rhaim found that the librarian had arrived with the jutsu scroll and a blank. He however explained that he would not need that right now since he was going to go check on some things with the other academy students. Suprisingly the librarian only smiled as she collected up the book and hurried him out the door.

Rhaim walked into the library from the outside only to find that the usual librarian was seated behind the counter with a sly grin. It almost appeared as if she had been waiting for him as she pulled the scroll that he had been researching and a blank one onto the counter. With a brief smile and a nod he took the supplies from the young woman and made his way to his usual table in the center of the building. As he placed the materials on the desk, the young Nara boy began stretching and yawning to clear his mind for the task ahead. Satisfied with his preparations he took his seat and spread out the scrolls and writing utensils before himself. He took up the pen and looked over the scroll for the Mizuame Nabara no Jutsu in order for him to know what it was that he would be writing. Fortuneately for him he had already copied over two other scrolls and was therefore familiar with at least the outline style of the scrolls.

Rhaim placed his pen down and leaned back in the chair to examine his work on the formatting outline that he had conducted almost from memory of the first two scrolls. To his pleasant suprise he found that what few errors there were, they were so minor that he would not have to start over and could simply drive on with the copying. Though he was by no means a master of copying scrolls, the Nara child did feel that this task was by far easier than trying to learn a new jutsu. After a brief stretch in place in the chair he reached out and took up the pen to proceed with the copying once more. As he looked back and forth from his work and the original scroll, he began to ponder just how many scrolls he'd be carrying around for jutsus that he had yet to learn. Not to mention whatever random scrolls he'd have to carry for messages and the like. On the plus side as he finished learning the techniques he could always save someone else the time and effort and pass the scrolls on to them.

Rhaim looked down at the scrolls before him expecting to find the work that he had accomplished only to see that his drifting mind had once again held him back from actually doing any work. With a sigh he pushed back his chair and stood up to get the blood in his legs flowing again, hoping that that action might keep him focused on the scroll copying task at hand. Before seating himself back at the table he did a series of light stretches just to ensure that he wouldn't fall asleep at the table as he had done before. Once he was satisfied with his condition the young child made his way back to his seat to continue his work. He did not however do so without thoughts of non-training settling in the back of his mind. The idea of swaying in a low branch of a tree in the woods seemed to be the most prominent of these off track thoughts.

Rhaim woke to the feeling and sound of his forehead bouncing off of the table that he was seated before. Once again he had managed to get so caught up in his daydreaming of napping, that he actually managed to fall asleep at his task. He rubbed his head in a vain attempt to eleviate the small amount of pain caused by the desk and his dozing off. At the same time he rested his head on his hand and that same elbow on the desk, trying to figure out where he had left out on the scroll copying. Not to his suprise he found that he still had not accomplished anything since his original sitting down in the beginning. With a sideways smile he lifted up his pen and brought his attention back to the original copy to find what he needed to be writing next. Though he had thought that this was much easier than jutsu training, he couldn't discount how prone he was to sleeping during menial studying.

Rhaim was accepting of the small progress that he had made in copying over the beginning of the scroll. The which consisted mostly of the required materials, training, and handseals needed to conduct the jutsu properly. It was all a bit of a refresher for the boy since he had done the research on the technique already and felt that he had a fairly good grasp on it conceptually. However he often found that actually applying what he read in books didn't make a lick of difference when trying to perform it in real life. He had learned this by falling flat on his face during the training for the exploding tag jutsu. Not only had he not learned the skill, but he had also used up a couple of rather expensive tags. Though not actually expensive, considering he didn't have a steady source of income, they had depleted what little money he had had. With a crack of the wrist the Nara set out to carry on with his work.

Rhaim set out to continue his work on the scrolls only to find that there was a curious scratch on the side of the pen that kind of looked like his eldest sister punching a cat on top of a roof, if held upside down. He soon found himself fascinated by the depiction that wasn't actually there and began twirling the pen around to see what other odd images he could make out of the scratches on the pen. This of course led to watching the designs in the wood of the desk before him and arranging the pen in such a manner as to make an even greater variety of scenes. It was some time of fooling around before his eyes caught hold of the scrolls and he remembered that he wasn't there to play with a pen but rather to copy the scrolls. He shook his head violently from side to side to clear the thoughts of pictures on his pen and shooved his nose into the original scroll to attempt the copying once again.

Rhaim found himself staring blankly at the two scrolls completely unable to recall what it was that had distracted him from completing his work. Though in the end it really didn't matter what it was that kept him from finishing since it wouldn't change his current state of affairs. He'd simply have to hope that he wouldn't be so easily sidetracked again and press on through the ordeal of writing characters onto the scroll parchment. A task that even he would admit was easier to say he would do than actually doing. If for no other reason he had to get this exercise complete so that he would be able to get back to finishing the Touei training if he had time. More importantly however was the Genin exams, physical portion. Since he had done so poorly on the written portion, which didn't suprise him since he didn't study at all, he'd have to do better than barely passing to get through. With a somewhat defeated sigh the boy set out to write some more.

Rhaim wiggled the pen back and forth over the paper unsure how to begin even though all he had to do was simply copy the scroll placed beside it. It was no use however as he placed the pen down and lifted himself up and away from the chair that he would likely be sitting at for some time trying to complete the task. He stepped back from the table wondering if he should just not conduct study type training so early in the day. He considered that perhaps he was just the type of person that needed to do purely physical training in the morning hours. Then again he was more than likely the type of person that was just not good at any sort of training in the morning hours. After lifting his legs a few times to get the blood going, again, the Nara sat himself back down at the desk and picked up the pen to try and carry on with the task at hand.

Rhaim finally managed to copy over another portion of the jutsu scroll over to his blank one. Despite the fact that he was now over half of the way done he still felt that he would be in the building for a considerable amount of time. Especially taking into account the fact that it had already taken him some time just to get to the point where he was currently at. However he had done more difficult training that had taken a much longer time to complete the day prior. The chair that he sat in creaked a little as he leaned back in it to rest himself from the writing. It almost seemed that whether or not he actually accomplished any of his work he always needed a brief bit of rest. Then again he could probably just as easily take a nap at any time of the day and feel just as tired and sleepy. As he set out to continue his copying, the boy wondered if he would be defined as lethargic.

Rhaim had either gotten himself into some kind of groove with the writing or his mind was so tired that he was unable to think of anything to distract him from working. Either one of the events was a capable possibility with the kid, considering his track record with things of that nature. At any rate though he had managed to finish copying over the main body portions of the scroll, leaving only a single section left to complete. The last bit of closing remarks and acknowledgements was more of a legal issue for copying than for actually learning the jutsu so far as he could tell. His hypothesis was that he had to copy that information more so that he wouldn't be tempted to try and sell the thing off to someone as his own creation. Then again if he was really concerned about the reasonings he could always ask one of the librarians what the meaning was. As he set pen to parchment again, the Nara decided that asking directly would take away the mystery too soon.
