Madelien shot a tiny glare at him. She set the keys aside and left the garage without a word. She'd just have to call her boss and tell him she'd be late. Then she'd call Erika. Erika was always free these days. Although it was because she was dumped and was bawling over it, but Madeline could handle a few 'Its alright, you'll find a better man's if it meant a paycheck.
She stopped outside the door and called Erika. "Hey, Eri? Yeah, Daddy Dearest tossed my car, pick me up? Thanks!" She hung up and blinked. "She's in a good mood today." She muttered.

Erika had let herself in through the garage. She saw Domanick, stared, then ran off. "You didn't tell me your brother was hot!" She practically screamed.
Madeline choked. "HUH?" She stared at Erika like she was insane. "What. Are you talking about?" She asked, her voice dangerously low. "Tell me you didn't just call Dom a hottie."
"That guy in the car!"
"That's Domonick." She kicked the wall. "Let's go."
"Not until you introduce me!" Erika grasped Madeline's arm.
Madeline let out a choked gasp. That HURT! "Uncle, Uncle!"
She let Erika drag her to the car. "Dom, Erika. Erika, Dom. Good bye."
Erika didn't let go of Madeline's arm. "Hi." She smiled.
"ERIKA!" Madeline growled. "I'm late for work."
"Oh, Boss will let you off, considering what day it is!"
Madeline blinked and pulled Erika aside. "What. Are you talking about?" She asked again.
Erika gasped. "You FORGOT? Your own birthday?"
Madeline didn't hear the whisper. "Yes, I forgot."
"Oh, joy!" Erika clapped her hands. "You'll be SO surprised!"
Madeline blinked. "Huh?"
Erika shook her head. "Okay, work, come on!" She dragged Madeline, who appeared incredibly confused and bewildered, out of the garage.

Naomi nibbled on her bagel slowly (for the sake of actually SAVORING her meal) as she watched all the strange things unfold before her. Max left with Adrienne, Emily came and left quickly with only half her mind here, Domanik was being picked on then left, and even Madeline had made her entrance and exit. Naomi inwardly grinned; now that M adeline was leaving the house, she could slip the girl's birthday present in her room. Naomi had gotten the birthday girl a nice-
She stopped in mid-thought as she couldn't help but notice Alyekzander actually choosing his food very slowly, then eating just as slow. Naomi finished over half the bagel; well, looks like she wan't alone in that category, then.
She thought on what to do today; she'd stop by the comic store, of course. But what else? Hmm....

Madeline was shoved behind the counter as Erika disappeared in the backroom. Madeline looked up at the TV which was positioned so the person behind the counter could watch the things advertised. A dvd player sat on a shelf beneath it, and was commonly used to avoid watching the Iron Man trailer that was playing on repeat when the manager chose what to watch.
'The TV is for the customers, not you!' The manager would say.
Madeline knew why, last time they put on a movie (Superman Returns, which in Madeline's opinion didn't actually suck all that much) the manager complained (for two weeks) about how Superman didn't stand for the American Way anymore. (He originally stood for 'Truth, Justice, and the American Way' in the movie its just Truth and Justice.)
Madeline pulled the stool up and stood on it. She switched out the Iron Man trailer for a different movie. (They had a stack of DVDs of movies and TV shows based on comics and video games)
She opted for the Flash Gordon series. (The new one, where they DON'T have a space ship, just neat portal thingies) She sat down and began to watch.

Alyekzander murmured his thanks to Markus; he much preferred to take his time any way. Emily's entrance distracted him briefly. He told himself it was only because the room had emptied enough that she was noticeable. She was barely there a moment, but it was long enough for him to take her in at a glance. So that was her comfort wear, was it? It was much too large for her delicate form. Now that number she'd worn to dinner was perfect for her.
Alyekzander found his thoughts interrupted by Domanik making his rounds of alienating everyone in sight. "Maksim? What the deuce was he-" Alyekzander stopped, his eyes landing squarely on Naomi. She was such a quiet thing that he had nearly not noticed she was there. But even if she had not been, he did not exactly think the staff needed to know about Maksim catching him in the buff, either.
Now that he had noticed the girl, he decided to address her. "Good morning, Miss Naomi." Somehow calling her Miss Beauvais seemed entirely too formal for the cute youngest sister. And yet Naomi was entirely too friendly as he really had not spoken to her much at all. "Did you intend to join us this morning? My brother Markus has made an open invitation to tour the house. Markus is the 'nice one' who left me to my demise by hugging; I am certain you remember him."

Madeline was suddenly attacked by all the females she knew (besides her sisters and mother).
"WHAT?" She snapped, the episode was just reaching its climax, and she'd missed a good line.
They shoved a cake in her face. HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY was written in green frosting across the white canvas smoothed over the hopefully chocolate case.
Madeline blinked and politely excused herself. She went to another room and called home. A servant picked up.
"Hello?"
"Please put one of my sisters on the line." Madeline said calmly.
"Yes'm." The servant went into the ktichen and handed one of the sisters the phone.

After dawdling an appropriate length of time, Markus decended the stairway again. He was clad in his most raged jeans. Once they had been a deep indigo in colr, but they had faded to a lighter blue, the bottoms were shredded from having been tread on so often and one of the knees had worn out. His shirt was a simple black Rolling Stones tee. his longish hair was brushed and worn down. He took a seat when he got to the kitchen, taking another cup of coffee. "Whenever you two are ready," he said to Alyk and Adrienne. Do you wish to join us, Naomi? I'm going to be taking your sister on a tour today."
Even if Madeline had missed the whisper, Dom had caught it. So, it was her birthday? For the first time in his life, Dom felt a pang of remorse. He figured he could be nice to her for the rest of the day. Once she got home from work, of course. He pulled his car out of the driveway. He was going to make her a film as a present. It was what he did best, after all.

Madeline had gotten her mother.
"Hello?" The soothing voice asked. Madeline was lost for words for a bit, then managed to find them.
"Hey Mom." She said calmly, staring at the poster of The Record of Lodoss War hanging above the manga shelves across the room.
"Oh! Sweetie, Hi! Happy Birthday!"
"Yeah mom... where are the others?"
"In the kitchen I think, why?"
"Because they didn't tell me! They're supposed to warn me!" Madeline hated birthdays. Everyone jumped on her when it was her birthday. It came from a tragic event on her sixth birthday. Everyone in the first grade piled on top of her in the ball pool in Chuck E. Cheese. She shuddered at the thought. So... many... balls...
"Oh, you're just anxious! My little baby, nineteen years old!"
"Mom, everyone goes INSANE on birthdays."
"Oh sweetie, how about you take the day off?"
Madeline eyed the people gossiping in the corner. "I'll be home soon." She hung up and went back over to the group.
"I heard you have a hot brother!" One of the other girls, Jessica her co-worker a young girl of 17, exclaimed.
"Step. Brother." Madeline sighed. Damn, this day was going to be all about Dom. Hey, maybe she could aim the girls at him and get rid of them for the rest of her birthday. Tomorrow they'd be back to normal.
"Yeah, yeah, heard he's hot!" Jessica grabbed Madeline's hands. "Introduce me?"
"Yeah! Introduce us!" The other girls exclaimed.
Madeline looked away. "No."
"What~?" They groaned in unison.
"Maybe another time." She smiled, "I have to get home."
"Okay, but open your presents first!"
A pile of presents were dumped into her lap. A Back to the Future boxed set, a Maison Ikkoku boxed set, some manga (complete Absolute Boyfriend and all the Fruits Basket so far) and a backpack. She managed to shove the manga, carefully, into the backpack and walk out the door with the other presents. She borrowed Erika's car and went home.
Using the bag as a shield she tentatively walked into the house.

Her cell rang. She jumped about three feet in the air and answered it. "H-hello?" She asked, sneaking around the house. She felt like a spy, a very very scared spy. "Hey, I thought maybe you'd like to have a party or something at your house." Elizabeth, another girl she knew, asked calmly. Madeline was glad for the tone, but the words... "M-my house?" Shes stuttered. No! No, no, no, no, no! "Yeah, its pretty big right? It could hold everyone and their uncle!" "Uhm... no." "Ah, okay, can I come over at least?" "Don't bring anyone." "I won't." They hung up. A few minutes later the servant led Elizabeth into Madeline's room. "Hey," Elizabeth sat down on the bed next to Madeline. "Saw the blog. Is Dom that bad?" "Yep." Elizabeth hugged Madeline. "Oh, Maddie, you'll get through it." Madeline hugged back. "So, how's the rest of life?" Madeline poured the past few days into Elizabeth's waiting ear, and they chatted for a while. ((OOC: Maddie's Friends: ErikaJessicaEmma (will show up later >.> )

Finishing the last of the bagel, Naomi met eyes with Alyekzander just as he rested his eyes (in suprise, she noticed) on her. She couldn't blame his sudden quickening in the thought process; many said she was like a ninja with her entrances and exits, even with substitutes at school. She made one lady jump once; it was amusing enough.
Happy that the boy was in quite a much better mood today (for the last time she spoke to him, it had been after a overwhelming moment), she answered back cheerfully as well. "Good morning, Mr. Alyekzander.
Sure, a tour of the house would be nice; I'd love to join you all! As for yesterday, I remember that quite clearly. Sudden hugs is merely our way of life, so it's not over by a long shot. Keep on your guard if it scares you." she answered with a slight giggle at the end at the last notion, taking a bite of the banana she got and a sip of orange juice. She had more than enough time to do present-sneaking-into-room activities later on. Plus, the guy was being nice, so he deserved a behind-the-scenes warning on that hug notion.

Madeline went back down to the kitchen, chatting cheerfully with Elizabeth. She walked in and one of the chef's instantly appeared beside her.
"What would you like for your birthday dinner miss? Or would you prefer a lunch? Or will you not be joining us tonight?"
At the mention of 'birthday' Madeline jumped behind Elizabeth. "I want hamsteak, and I'll be eating in my room." She said quietly. She looked at Naomi. "Why didn't you warn me? I was attacked at work!"
Elizabeth was trying to hold her laughs in. She gave the chef a few side dishes that would go well with ham-steak, and sent him off.

Naomi saw her sister appear with Elizabeth, and grinned. Most likely chased out of work after something surprisey with her birthday.
"But it's more fun to see you surprised on your birthday; one flashback shouldn't ruin the experience for you!" She responded, remembering all too well the dogpile, despite only being four. She jumped in on that too, and nearly got killed by getting squished by some uninvited uber-fat kid......she had nothing against fat people, but no 6 year old needed to weigh that much.....and mom never invited him in the first place.
"Besides, you needed a day off, so what better way. Try to relax and have fun; you're 19 now and it's your birthday!" she added more calmly, and also greeted Elizabeth.

Madeline shuddered. "I know you remember it too Mimi." She crept over to her sister.
Elizabeth giggled and waved to Naomi. "I think that I can leave her in your hands, I need to keep the girls who have seen, or heard of, the..." she eyed the boys that were occupying the room. "scenery... away from here."
Madeline looked at Naomi. "Rika saw Dom." She rubbed her arm. "You know how she is."

"Scenery? Domanik?" Alyekzander repeated in puzzlement. Domanik had a little fanclub now? Oh, he would not be pleased by this. And yet, Alyekzander sensed that he had missed something a bit more important than the revelation that anyone could want to be within firing range of Domanik's moods. Ah yes, that was it. "How rude of me. Happy birthday, Miss Beauvais. Though I would say watching a pack of girls moon over Domanik seems like more of a present for me. I shall have to thank this Rika for the hours of imminent amusement. I am quite finished now, Markus." Alyekzander rose from the table, looking to his brother.

Madeline grinned at Elizabeth. "Actually, it would be funny to see that." She stood up. "Let's go round them up." She lowered her voice. "Might take their minds off of tackling me." She walked out. "Hey, I'll be in my room." She called back.
Elizabeth giggled at Alyek's confusion. "Tootaloo~! I'll round up the 'imminent entertainment'." She walked out as well. Unlike Madeline she had a good sense of direction even in a place she'd never been before.
