Finding Something Cool cont. & Nani has a boyfriend?!?

Surion smiled he had something other then the computer package in the bag but it'd been there for a while. He stepped off the hover disc at her front door and shifted the weight of the heavy book and knocked on the door

Tinania was sitting on the couch with books, notebooks, potions, and her computer spread everywhere. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun and she with in short shorts and a pink halter top.

Looking over at the door she arched a brow "Who could that be?" standing she walks over to the door opening it. Smiling she giggles "Hey Surion, what you doing here sweetie?"

"Hi Nani, Dad wants you to have this, and your mum says you can help me with something" he said with a smile

Tinania arches a brow looking very confused "You saw my mum? But she at work?" she stepped aside to let him walk into the house.

Surion stepped into Nani's home "Yeah I know she is, that's where I saw her" he said with a giggle turning and holding the book out to her

Taking the book her eyes widen alittle "You went to ME&F? That cool, so what this thing my mum said I could help you out with?" she walked over placing the book down on the counter.

Surion reached into his bag and pulled out the box that contained his new glitchen computer

Tinania laughs then smirks "Now I see why, it because I have that very computer." she point over to the computer that was sitting on the coffee table.

Surion blushed slightly and nodded "Yeah, your mum said you had one. I kinda come from a family who isn't exactly technologically knowledgeable"

Tinania pokes his nose lightly before smiling "Its fine I can help you out. I was just working on some things for class next week."

Surion smiled "Thankyou Nani, I appreciate it" he said and then giggled wiggling his nose

Tinania shakes her head then walks back over to the couch "Not a problem, what are friends for?" she clears a place so he can sit down next to her as she grabs her computer.

Surion hurried after her and sat down in the place she cleared putting the box on his lap

Tinania smiles as she closes out all the web pages she was on. Looking at him she nods "All you have to do is start the computer up and from there it will tell you what to do." she ruffles his hair alittle as she leaned back.

Surion opened the box and pulled out the small computer. and turned it over and lifted the top "Your mum said something about charging..."

Tinania nods smiling "Yup there a few cords in the box. You'll have to charge it once you get home, but for now it will be fine." sitting forward she set her computer on the coffee table.

"Okay" he replied sitting semi cross legged he found the switch and turned it on

Tinania watches as the computer starts up going though and setting up everything until it needed information from him. "All you do is fill in the your name, what the name of your computer will be, email, and your instant messenger name. Then your pretty much set.." she winks watching as her desktop on her computer switch to her sitting in Gavin's lap at the club.

Grabbing her computer quickly she closes it hoping Surion hadn't seen the picture.

Surion nodded he didn't notice her desktop at first as his eyes were on his own, he hunted and pecked for his name and then gave the puter a name he didn't know what an email was and left that, but went ahead and put a name in the messenger.... NanisDragon... He started to look up "What is..." he stopped going silent when his eyes fell on the desktop of her puter and bit his lip looking quickly back down to his own computer

Tinania not seeing that he had looked up as she was trying to switch to another desktop picture looked at him as the picture switch to her mother and Rinon "What is what sweetie?" her hair fell alittle into her face as she looked at him.

Surion said nothing but pointed at the line for email

Tinania arched a brow looking at him then looks at what he was pointing at "Oh email. Its a way to sending things over the net. Its usually the same as your IM name. But it can be different also." she ruffles his hair alittle then turns back to her computer flipping though her desktops.

She had alot of Surion, only they were drawings she had done, then there was yet another of her and Gavin, only this time dancing.

Surion tried to avoid looking, he nodded and again hunt and pecked the letters he needed for an email. He happened to look up again when the dancing just barely had shown up. "Done" he said quietly diverting his eyes to her instead of her desktop

Tinania looked over and smiles "Okay then that should be everything, your computer set, now all you have to do is take it home and personalized it to the way you like it." she winks then looks back at her system again.

She finally leaves it along when she gets it on a kid picture of her and Damien playing together. Leaning back she looks at him "Why you so quiet sweetie?"

"Nothing" he said and put the glitchen beside him and reached down into his bag "This is for you" he said pulling out a small object no more then 8 inches tall... he moved to hand it to her then changed his mind on his reply "Who was in the picture?" he asked quietly

Tinania gasp looks at the object, the horse was so beautiful. It was like from a fairy tale book. She stopped and held her breath looking at the horse then back up at him "That Gavin, he...." she stopped looking at her hands.

"Gavin..." he repeated, he wasn't familiar with Gavin, perhaps he'd meet this Gavin some day

Tinania looks at him blushing alittle. How could she admit to him that she was sortof dating Gavin. She shakes her head then smiles "Yea.."

"I've never met him, but he's older so that might be why" he pulled the puter back to his lap after she had taken the carousel horse music box

Tinania smiles looking at the carousel horse "Yea he older, he about me age. He really sweet..." she blushes again licking her bottom lip. For once she was glad Surion didn't understand her blushing otherwise he would know something had happen.

Surion watched her blushing, he hadn't told her his father had decided the first day of his hunt was the appropriate time to give him the talk. He nodded slowly listening to her

Tinania pushes her hair from her face then smiles alittle "So what you plan on doing with your computer anyways?" she was changing the subject on purpose.

"I don't really have one" he admitted "I was looking for something cool to buy, and it caught my eye"

Tinania smiles then nods "Yea well I think you bought the coolest thing out there at this point. Unless Master gah comes up with something else." she leans back playing with her belly ring, today it had a purple stone in it.

Surion nodded and smiled weakly "Now I just have to figure it out and keep my dad from getting his hands on it"

Tinania giggles then picks up her computer turning the wallpaper changer back on. It flipped to another Gavin picture of him holding her from behind. Looking over she smiles "Well you can make it smaller so that one way to get it past your day. Um and I say just keep it hidden in your room somewhere.."

Surion nodded "Your mum said that, like the disc" he said his eyes drawn to her computer when she leaned to it, his eyes had a touch of sadness in them

Tinania was looking back at her computer flipping pages back open on potions "Yup, almost everything at ME&F can change it shape. or so I've been told." she glances at him then frowns seeing the sadness in his eyes.

Leaning over she wraps her arms around him "What wrong sweetie?" she runs her hand though his hair lightly.

"You are more then friends aren't you" he asked quietly not looking directly at her

Tinania frowns closing her eyes, she knew this would hurt him more then anything, she gulped hard then opening her eyes "Yes, me and Gavin, were sort of together...."

Surion nodded slowly closing his computer "I.. guess that makes sense... you said he is the same age" he moved to put the computer back in it's box

Tinania pulled away then looked away from him "Surion, please..." she looked at him "You said it yourself that it might happen...I said it myself also sweetie..." she looked down at her hand that were shaking. "It just kind of happen..."

"Nani, you are your own person, You can make your own choices, I wont stop you, I might be sad you made them... but ..." he sighed "I'm just a kid after all, it wont stop me from feeling the way I do.. I just have to accept it is all" Surion bit his lip

Tinania looks away wishing that his word hadn't stung as much as they did. Biting her bottom lip she lean back keeping her eyes closed. Her voice although it was steady it was full of sadness "I don't see you as just a kid Surion. I never have..."

"I'm talking about my age..." he replied staring a the box blinking and fidgeting with the edge of the box

Tinania looked at him then not caring she moved wrapping her arms around him hugging him close, she was shaking alittle as she kissed his hair "I'm sorry Sur..."

Surion couldn't help it as her arms wrapped him up in the hug, the few dark pink tears that had hid in the corner of his eye slipped out and down his cheeks "I... hope he treats you really well... you deserve that..." he whispered

Tinania frowns wiping his tears away then shook her head "I give anything right now, if you didn't find out. I don't wish this upon you at all..." she leans forward kissing his forehead. "I know you will find someone sweetie, someone better then me.."

Surion said nothing, he did not want to believe that, he felt like just hiding away right then and there

Tinania frowns then sighs pulling away "I should get back to work...I have alot to get ready for class tomorrow sweetie." she pulls her hair up into a ponytail avoiding looking at him.

A single tear slipped down her face but she didn't notice it as she gathered her paper up into a neat pile.

"Ok, thankyou for .. helping me.." he said sliding the box back into the shoulder bag "Dad sent me on errands anyways" he said moving to stand up

Tinania nods "No problem, tell your dad I said thank you for the book.." she avoided his eyes even more as she looked at the web pages, the tears were running down her face, but she couldn't wipe them away. Not without drawing attention to the fact she was crying.

She couldn't understand why though. Was it because she knew she hurt him and never wanted to do that?

"See you later Nani, enjoy the horse" he said and then pulled the hover disc from the bag and enlarged it heading for her door

Tinania nods gulping hard then coughing "Yea, I'll see you later, have fun with your computer.." she buried her self back into her work letting the tears just flow.

Surion disappeared out her front door and after a deep breath headed slowly into the air in the direction of town to run the errands

Surion is Upset

Surion landed at the house and stepped off the disc pressing the button long enough to make the disc small, he pulled the computer box from his bag leaving all the other stuff his father had sent him to get in it, he pushed open the door and walked in, he pulled the bag off putting it down near the door and without a word walked through the house and into his room closing the door behind him

Torvil looked up for a moment when he heard him come in and then slowly moved to grab the bag, putting it by the computer. He then moved to Surion's door and knocked. "Sur?"

Surion had put his box and disc on his desk and dropped face first onto his bed burying his face into the pillow letting his tears flow freely, he heard his father but did not reply

Torvil sighed and utilized something he rarely did... His parental right of entry. He reached for the knob of the door to see if it was locked.

It wasn't Surion rarely bothered to do that, his mom could ghost it and he knew his father had the strength to open it even if it was locked

Torvil opened the door and slowly entered the room. He moved over to the bed and sat down, ignoring his desk entirely as he sat on the foot of his bed. "What's wrong?"

Surion turned his head a little sniffled trying to decide how to put into words the feelings he felt inside

Torvil reached out and softly brushed his hair.

"I... " he paused and sniffled "... love her" he said he couldn't remember right then if he had told his father about his crush

Torvil smiled softly and patted his side. "Come here..." He murmured softly. "And tell me all about it... Maybe I can help..."

Surion sat up holding his pillow "I have for a long time" he reached up wiping a tear away which didn't help as it was replaced by another right away "but..."

"She's got somebody else doesn't she..." Torvil murmured softly, brushing his hair. "She's got somebody closer to her age..." Torvil had a sense that Surion was after an older female... It made sense... He was a bit mature for his age.

Surion hesitated then nodded "She's going out with someone... "

Torvil nodded his head slowly and thought about it for a moment. "You have two choices Surion... You can either leave her be, and let her have this relationship with this other male... Or..." He didn't know if he should be giving Surion this advice... This was not the cliffs and this next option was more likely than not, frowned upon...

Surion sniffled and looked up at him listening to what he was telling

"You can call him out and fight him..." He took a deep breath and let out a sigh. "And either make him yield... Or kill him..." Torvil said softly. "That's how we do it at the cliffs... When two males... Or two females wish to have the same person as a mate..."

Surion stared at him for a moment then looked back down to his lap holding the pillow tightly "He's bigger then me, he's older... So is she... I don't think she looks at me like I do her,..." he paused more tears escaping down his face "... I... I should leave her..." his voice grew quieter "as much as that hurts here" he tapped his finger to his chest above his heart

Torvil hugged Surion close and brushed his hair. "Surion... I wish I could say I know you pain... But I don't..." He said softly holding him close. "I only know what it's like to not be loved by family... Not to know what it is to have unrequited love..." He brushed his hair. "I'm sure they're similar, but I think the second is keener..." He murmured and rubbed Surion's back. "I'm sure all things will work out in time..."

"I.. I don't know if Nani has that kind of feeling about me, I think I'm just like a friend.... or sibling" he mumbled into his pillow

Torvil sighed. Now he understood... He rubbed his back. "Surion... Time changes people and their feelings... Relationships change over time... There was a time your mother and I were just... friends... and siblings..."

Surion shift his eyes looking towards his dad, but otherwise didn't move as he clung to the pillow

"That changed when... I divorced Silent... Vina's mom..." He wasn't sure how much he'd told Surion about that...

Surion nodded slowly not entirely familiar with it

Torvil sighed softly and shook his head. "You don't know much about it do you... Well I guess I should start from the beginning no?"

Surion leaned into his pillow a bit and snuffled to clear his nose a little he paid little attention to his reappearing scars he could feel it happen but ignored them, he'd deal with them later

Torvil kept rubbing his back... "It started when I had just left the cliffs, I knew nothing of the outside world... I wandered into a forest..."

Surion listened to his father's story eventually he was laying on his belly with his head towards his father resting on the pillow but fully awake

"... And that was when Vina was born... In a cave..." He sighed for a moment and rubbed his temples. "I left her with Magic... Who is Visha knows where by now..." He sighed and shook his head. "Anyway, after a bit she came to the Pae isle to find me... She met Ala, your mom... When she and I were still friend-siblings..."

Surion nodded not wanting to interrupt his father's words

"Well... Your mom bought Balan and Vina moved in with us... It got to a point where your mother was in need of some healing... So I utilized some of my more... I guess you could say... Non transmutive Alchemy to heal her... The side effect is well... You tell the truth... Regardless of what you want to say... Your mother admitted she had feelings for me... and I'd had some for her... So... Silent and I got divorced that night... She's long since left me anyway..."

Surion blinked and nodded again, he didn't know much about this, but it wasn't info he had expected

"So your mother and I went out to clear our heads and talk... There wasn't a lot of talking once we decided we wanted to be together... If you catch my drift..."

Surion buried his face in his pillow when his father said that though it was obvious he was blushing as his ears were bright red

"Anyway, Vin and Lene were born the next day... So I assume they were either conceived out in the woods... Or in the Ancient Balan city... Not quiiiiteeee sure...."

"Daaaadddd" he squeaked THAT much he didn't need to know, least not in his opinion

Torvil laughed softly. "Anyway... Vin and Lene and Vina grew... Vina crushed on Mal for a bit... Got her heart broke... Moved to the cliffs... Lene and Vin went to Kazeha, and we were again left alone in the house... We wanted another child and we sought help... And suffice it to say... No place in this house is... 'safe'... and it's likely you were conceived anywhere in here..."

Surion reached and grabbed the edge of his blanket and it rather quickly found it's way over his head he was blushing furiously

Torvil laughed softly. "Sorry Surion... By cliff law you're technically a man now... I can tell you all this..." he said softly, reaching out to ruffle his hair.

"Doesn't mean I needed to know it" he squeaked letting the blanket loose

Torvil chuckled softly. "But don't you want to?" He asked softly with a slight smile. "It's an important event..."

Surion sighed "Not really, least not at this time" he said biting his lip and rolling over so he could look up at his father

Torvil chuckled softly and ruffled his hair. "I'm trying to help you know... I know it's not a lot... But I am trying..."

Surion nodded "I know dad" he looked towards his dad "I don't know what to do, I don't want to call anyone out, but I don't want to give up either"

Torvil sighed. "You can chose to do nothing, and just wait and see what the future brings..."

Surion nodded "Yeah, I should think about all this dad" he said

Torvil nodded. "Should I leave you be then?"

Surion hesitated then nodded thinking about needing some time alone to think about it

Torvil nodded slowly, then leaned down and kissed his forehead. "Good luck..." He murmured, brushing his son's hair softly as he stood. "If you need m... anything... I'll be out in the living room working okay?"

Surion nodded "Ok thanks dad" he said and closed his eyes to think

Torvil nodded and sighed softly, slowly slipping out the door.

Nagi comes for a visit

Nagi stood outside her house in Aekea, and was practicing trying to fly with her wings. She was not really getting anywhere. She sighed and gave up for the day, her arms folding across her chest.

A fluffy purple creature with wings flew near and landed, she had the scent of the one she was searching for from the pendant her caregiver's son had. She landed and padded down the road keeping as much out of sight as she could, this was an unfamiliar place to her

Nagi brushed her hair over her shoulder and looked up into the sky, something she often did when she was deep in thought. She covered her mouth with her hanky as she coughed again. " Grr.. why can't I get rid of this..."

Stardust stopped at the corner of the building sniffing the air nodding to herself, she was sure this was who she was looking she padded slowly out of the hidden place her wings folded against her back as she approached her

Nagi looked over at the creature as it approached her and her head tilted to the side, curious as to why it was coming her way. " Hmmm.. what the?"

you are Nagi aren't you cause a voice, obviously a feminine one, it seemed to come inside Nagi's head and not from the creature as it continued it's approach, if one were to look close hidden in the fluffiness of her mane one could see a glint of metal hanging on a chain around her neck

" Yeah I am... who wants to know?" She said, a wee bit apprehensive of someone she was not familiar with knowing her name.

I am Stardust, female Alpha of the Balan she said in a steady voice which like the first time came within Nagi's head as all Balan communicate telepathically

" Oh.. hello. I remember Surion mentioning the Balan the last time I seen him.. did he send you?" She asked, taking a closer look at the creature.

He asked me if I would come looking for you yes, he did not send me, I make my own choices the little bit of metal catching the sun's light as she stopped looking up at the humanoid before her

" Oh.. forgive me for offending... and did he need me for something? Is he okay?" She asked a bit worried, as she reached her hand out, wanting to suddenly pet this interesting creature and caught the metal around its neck. ' Is that.. the pendant I gave Surion?"

Yes it is, he put it around my neck so that in case you were unsure I was who I said I was you could look at it. She told her He is fine, doing chores when I left him. He can't come into the towns today to the clinic, wished to visit with you

" Oh.. well then I don't want to keep him waiting." She said, nodding to Stardust. " I am guessing you are going to show me the way?"

Well far as I know you don't know where the shop or the Rakamash house is she nodded her wings unfolding from her back and spreading

Nagi nodded. " You are correct, I do not know where either location is..." She said, closing her eyes and levitating because she had not got down flying yet.

Well they are one and the same as the house is about 20 or 30 lengths from the back door of the shop She said and lifted into the air moving higher into the air with each flap pulling her front paws close

" Oh I see." She says, following the Balan closely, flying through the air via her levitation spell.

Stardust quickly she was heading away from the little town, she was flying towards the forests and mountains soon two islands floating high in the air came into view.. But star made no motion she was going to them, rather, she was moving to pass them by

Nagi kept pace with the creature, looking at the islands in the distance and enjoying the view. " Wow.... its really pretty from all the way up here.

Star glanced over her shoulder That is Telrunya and the Ancient City... we are passing them by she said as she moved to pass them

Nagi nodded and made a mental note of the islands, meaning to ask about them later. " Alright."

The land of the Pae'il... and the ancient city where my kind lived, but where we are going down there she pointed a paw towards a clearing with a small puff of smoke rising from it in the distance, but it was a lil dot from where they where

" Ahh I see, this is pretty far out here."

Star nodded This is our land we are entering now she said and soon the two larger buildings and the smaller one came into view

" Its lovely... almost reminds me of how pretty the woods of Cerescia are." Nagi said, making sure to keep up.

I am not familiar with that land Star said landing on the grass what was wet She padded ahead and used a paw pushing open the door tot he shop and padding in heading directly for the back room I will be back in a moment she said

A black Balan looked up from near the fire she was curled up with two eggs. but there was one big difference between her and star, she was watching the girl with piercing purple eyes and on her back, not feathered wings but large leathery ones

Nagi followed Star in then looked over to the female. " Fear not, I won't hurt you." She said, making sure to stay back from the creature, knowing how much a mother is protective of its young, having been raised around Cerebri her whole life.

I am not afraid of you, I am a shadow Shade said calmly a single black tendril snaking from the ground and then disappearing again as she put her head down closing her eyes

*thump thump thump thump thump* the sounds of running from the staircase near the corner of the room kitty-corner from the shops main door.

Nagi looked over to the direction of the sound after watching Shade for a moment. " Hmmm.. interesting.. never seen any shadow quite like that before.' She mused silently to herself.

*THUMP* Surion jumped the last 3 stairs landing on the hardwood floor, he looked up and grinned "Hello!" he greeted her the pendant dangling from his hand obviously Star had found him, he walked towards her past Shade reaching down and petting her back as he did

Nagi chuckled as she seen him leap the stairs. " Be careful you don't misjudge the distance there and bust your bum... I did that once and it really hurt." She said and leans against the wall where she was standing.

"I've done that many times I was cleaning the guest rooms up there" he said "Welcome tot he Balan Levain Shop, Stardust is my mum's Balan, but then so is Shade" he motioned the black Balan

" Ahh I see, they are most interesting creatures." She said, laughing softly at his previous statement.

"Soft and fun to cuddle I did that a lot when I was a toddler, Garion was my favorite to cuddle, The Shadow's fur is a little rougher" Surion stopped a few feet in front of her

Nagi smiled at him and nodded. " They look like they would be really fun to have around.. I was only raised around Cerebri so this is the first non Cerebri creature I have gotten to see. My mom breeds Cerebri for a living and owns more of them than the HQ." She says with a small nod.

"We don't own these, we are caregivers is all" he smiled "Wanna look around?"

" Sure. Well my mom doesn't really look at it as owning them.. more like helping them along because they are an endangered species, she lets them run free on our acres and acres of land and woods." She says walking forwards a bit and made a point to go around Shade.

Surion smiled and pointed around, he pointed around, the window next to the door then the wall next to it with a massive fireplace. the staircase then the counter and wall with the window that looked into the backroom "Come on Lets go this way" he said and turned heading for the door to the back room

Nagi nodded and followed him, smiling over to him and wondering where they were heading to.

Surion led her through the room past what was obviously a kitchen area with a massive center counter past a door on the right with a couple rather heavy duty padlocks on it, he was heading for a door straight ahead

She continued to follow him, looking around her at the large kitchen as they passed it, obviously impressed with what she seen. " Wow... big kitchen."

"We used to live in this building upstairs and I have 3 siblings. They used to live at home" he pulled open the door motioned her through, it wasn't another room it was ... a backyard, not fenced to the left of the door and about 20 yards away a large house

' I had 8, but only 2 are living right now and they are the twins my mom just had yesterday." She said, looking over the yard, nodding to Surion as she heard what he said. " Our castle is huge, and I haven't even looked in every room cause there are so many."

Surion chuckled "I don't think I could either if you live in a place that big... It's just mum dad and I here, I never lived in the shop, I was born after they built the house and my half sister moved to the cliffs. my other 2 siblings are twins they live over the mountain" he nodded standing on the back deck

" Oh I see.. must be nice, being out here where no one bothers you.. were you don't have to live in hiding..." She says, her voice breaking slightly as she stands beside him.

Surion sighed "I'm sorry" he said quietly biting his lip and looking at her

" Its alright, I am just glad that my family and I are safe and I am sure this will all end soon." She says walking over to him and giving him a hug.

Surion smiled weakly "Yeah hopefully... Hungry?" he asked

" Yeah a little.. I have been training for several hours... are you okay?"

Surion nodded "Yes I am ok, dad is out so the house is empty, come on" he headed for the house

She smiled and followed him, wiggling her wings a bit to keep them from cramping up before folding them down her back.

Surion pulled open the door walking in the front hall heading into the building heading for the kitchen

Nagi walked in took a look around. ' This house is really nice." She said as she followed him. " If I can help you with something then don't hesitate to ask."

"Thanks, Dad built it uhmmm I think this last spring, I'm not sure, I was still in mum at the time" he said and walked into an equally large kitchen or rather it was even a little larger then the one in the shop though not by much

" Oh well either way its nice.. has a real cozy atmosphere to it." She said, following him. " Wow... this is a big kitchen.. need help with anything?"

"Not really I'm just going to grab some fruit and a sandwich for you, and I think I will have something I just don't know what, less you want to look in the crisper for yourself" he said pulling open the door tot he fridge lotsa meat in there and some other normal essentials, though really not a LOT of greens or fruits or anything herbivore at all

" Well what do you like to eat? Cause I can cook something... just I don't know my around the kitchen and what you like t eat.. but I am very good at cooking." She says with a smile.

"I like my meat... but you don't need to worry about cooking it" he said pulling out a package of meat, it was only a small package though

Nagi pulled out some meat and smiled. " Watch this.." She said and took it out of the package and chanted a few words in Cerescian and the meat instantly poofed into a well done steak. " Hehe... I just learned to do that yesterday."

Surion looked at it "You like your meat done that way?" he asked

" Yeah... my mother won't let me eat it unless its cooked.. she is paranoid about food poisoning or something." She said, floating the steak over and taking a bite.

"No thanks for me" he said and headed over and sat down at the table pulling the package open and picked it up taking a bite of it

Nagi shrugged and eat her steak. " I'd just eat whatever is put on my plate, no questions."

Surion smiled "Most my meat has ever been cooked is lightly seared as my mum calls it." he put it down licking his fingers "Drink... I need a drink, you?"

" Yeah sounds good." She says with a small nod.

"Okies" he got up wandering back tot he fridge and pulled out two containers and then found a couple cups "Juice..." he said after pouring one of each and walking back handing her back what looked like orange juice but had a little bit of a bite

Nagi took a sip then looked at it funny. " What else is in this.. this isn't alcohol in here is it?" She said with a small chuckle.

Surion shook his head "It's some juice from the cliffs, mum brought it home with her when we returned, she had a couple jugs left of it." he took a sip of a red drink

' What do you have there Surion?" She said, shot gunning her glass of juice down then shaking her head. " Whew.. has a bit of a bite ." She says with a laugh.

Surion blinked "Oh something else that I wanted" he said scratching his temple for a moment

" Is it blood?" She asked, remembering him mentioning he was Vampiric in their last encounter.

Surion nodded "Yeah" he smiled weakly

" Oh okay, It doesn't bother me that you drink it, I mean whatever wets your whistle right?" She said with a smile and brushed a few strands of hair from her eyes that had fallen there.

Surion chuckled "The joys of being part Vampiric, but that's ok I like other stuff too, just drink this here a lot"

" Believe me.. I have really weird cravings sometimes because of my Daemon blood and then my lust for training comes from my Saiyajin blood so I am a very weird little kid." She says giggling.

Surion giggled lots with her "you sound like you have a fun life"

" its has its high moments.. then the bad comes with the good but all I know is that you have to make the best of what is given to you." She says, smiling over at him. " Sorry if I come off as a dork but I do a lot of deep thinking over things.. its kind of made me stand out in my family... what's weird is that I am more like my aunt Selene than I am my own mother.. do you find that odd?" She asks.

"Each family is different, each person likes another differently... I have a sister named Selene" he mused

" Well Selene is the shortened version of my aunt's name and my mothers name is a short form too. A lot of us have long Cerescian names so we just use nicknames for sake of simplicity. Wow.. a sister with the same name as my aunt... small world ne?" She says with a small laugh.

Surion giggled "My sister's name is her full first name, her name's short form is Lene"

" Ahh I see.. well as you know my name is Nagisa.. but I go by Nagi.. my full name is Nagisa Maharhette Saikun-Susjin... quite a mouthful." She says, laughing a bit.

"I'm Surion Asmodeus Rakamash" he said leaning on the table pushing the empty dishes away from him

" Wow... your parents have quite a knack for choosing strong and nice names. My name Nagisa means she who will rise again... I think its weird." She said, her face wrinkling up a bit in distaste.

Surion chuckled "It's all fun, just like sitting here visiting with you my friend"

Nagi feels her cheeks pinken a bit and she smiles. " Yeah.. I really enjoy spending time with you Surion. I feel like I can be myself around you and not be afraid of scaring you off." She says, patting his hand.

Surion smiled "Well I'm glad you feel like that"

Nagi smiled herself and scratched one of her ears with her free hand, her other hand remaining on his. " As long as I don't weird you out then I am happy."

Surion laughed "I've seen lots of weird things, you're my friend, so I don't think you'd easily 'weird me out' "

" Well its good to know I have a friend I can trust and know will be around no matter what stupidity I happen to spew out.." She says with a laugh.

Surion giggled "Come on lets go sit by the fire, it's cool in the kitchen" he said sliding off his chair

Nagi nodded and followed him, smiling to herself and actually having a really good time for the first time in as long as she could remember.

Surion left he kitchen going down the hall a few feet and then through a nice wide entrance way into the living room and dropped onto a couch

Nagi followed him then as she entered the room, she tripped and fell on her face then burst into giggles. " Add klutz to my list of less than desirable qualities.." She said, laughing as she started to get up.

Surion laughed "You are laughing so I'm guessing you are are ok" he said watching her

" Yeah.. I'll live." She said walking over to him, the pendant around her neck glowing a bit as she took a seat next to him, rubbing her ankle a bit.

Surion looked at the pendant a moment and then her ankle "You ok?"

" Yeah, its why I fell, dang thing cramped up them my whole leg went numb... weird huh?" She said then cringed a bit.

"Yeah a little I've never seen someone have a limb go numb suddenly before" he said sitting back crossing his legs leaning against the corner of the couch cushions

Nagi nodded and started to say something but her voice seemed locked away from her and she blinked and tried to talk again but it seemed as if her voice was totally gone.

"Nagi??" Surion blinked confused at her sudden loss of voice

As she kept struggling to talk, a small chameleon like shadow slinked out of the pendant and into skittered across the floor and then the pendant fell off her neck and to the floor. " Man. that was weird..." She said, blinking.

Surion growled his eyes looking around /Something is here/ he thought to himself

The small creature slinked back up Nagi's leg and remained there. " Surion... what's wrong?"

I smell another ... something here, I know dad is out but there's more then just two of us here" he looked like he was searching the room with his blue eyes

Nagi looked a bit uneasy. " What... you are kidding right?"

Surion tapped his nose and shook his head "I smell ... it, I'm a hunter..."

" I...see..." She looked a bit scared, and looked around frantically as the being moved up and onto her arm and stayed still, knowing it was being tracked.

Surion growled his tail thrashing slightly his eyes moving searching for the scent he was picking up

Nagi jumped and wiggled her arm, feeling the thing moving on it. " Ewww.. something is on my arm!"

Surion growled looking at the arm she said it was on he stood moving a little closer

The shadow on her arm moved up suddenly and darted up towards her neck. " Yuck.. what is it...?"

"I am not sure" he hissed still looking for exact details he did see the movement of the fabric though

As it moved up her neck, instinctively she clamped her hand on it and held tightly and showed it to Surion. " I got it."

Surion moved closer "Weird looking creature" he said seriously "Where did it come from?"

" You got me.. but when it appeared, the pendant around my neck fell off.. and now that I think of it... I started feeling funny after I put it on..."

Surion nodded and left the room quickly returning quickly with a rather sharp looking spear as he moved closer he pointed it's tip at the creature

Nagi looked a bit uneasy at what he was pointing towards the creature in her hand as it hissed at Surion.

Surion had grabbed the spear for protection more then anything else he growled "To you to you ... whatever you are"

Nagi thought for a moment then looked at Surion. " Surion.. get me that pendant on the floor... I got an idea." She said. glaring at the torture demon in her hand.

Surion hesitated and then reached down grabbing it quickly and holding it out to her

She grabbed it and slammed the creature into the stone on it as it got absorbed into the pendant and she tossed it on the floor. " Now we got to break this pendant.. and quickly.. "

Surion turned the spear tip side down and brought it down hard on it, growling as he did

As he did that, Nagi fired a small concentrated blast onto the pendant and the combined force of the attack shattered it and it disappeared in a puff of smoke. " Well... that was effective." She said looking at him with a smile. " Thanks for the help... if not for you sensing that.... I might have never known about that thing."

Surion nodded turning the spear right side up again and put the end on the floor "That was not the kind of excitement i may have expected..."

" I'm sorry..." She said, looking down at her feet.

"No thats ok Nagi, honest" he said "Back in a second" he said and wandered off to his room to put his spear away again

Nagi leans back against the couch and sighed heavily, her eyes closed. " That episode ruined the nice evening we were having.."

Surion returned a few minutes later a smile on his face like nothing out of the ordinary had happened and dropped onto the couch "Now where were we" he giggled

She opened her eyes and smiled a bit. " I was running my mouth and you were the victim that had to listen?" She said, a slight smirk on her face.

Surion laughed "well lets keep chatting then"

" If I don't slow down a bit.. I am going to get a speeding ticket.." She said with a giggle and she poked him with her tail.

Surion laughed again "Nah, you don't talk any more then my cousin used to when we were both younger"

Nagi scooted across the couch a bit closer to him. " You know.. I haven't had this much fun since I was very little and I hope we can continue to spend time together, because I rather enjoy your company, Surion." She said, smiling at him then got a thoughtful gaze in her eyes as she leaned back. " You think your parents would object to you having a pet?"

Surion shrugged "You'd have to ask there there is a lot of creatures here as is" and to prove his point a dark green creature with headphones on his ears padded in heading for the fireplace, it wasn't a Balan

" Well this would be a 3 headed dog and after a bit it would have to stay outside cause it gets pretty big but I will see what your mother thinks.. cause I'd love to give you a puppy if I can... and what's that creature there?" She said pointing to the one that just entered the room.

"That's Auror, mum says he's an Audio Rhetoric, there is a pair of headphones here too that is his child" He told her

" How interesting. I have never seen such a creature." She says, looking over at him and smiling.

"He's fun, listen close" he said going silent the music could faintly be heard

Nagi got quiet and then looked fascinated. " Whoa.. that's so cool..." she said very quietly, scratching one of her cat like ears.

"He's fun to play with, he loves his music" Surion smiled

" seems we have a commonality there.. because I love my music as well. Its one of few passions I have." She said, looking over at him.

Surion grinned "You'd get along well then"

Nagi looked over at Surion then her gaze fell back to the floor. " Surion... have you ever wondered what you might be doing years from now.. like do you have anything you want out of life.. any goals.. dreams?"

"I dont dream... not anymore at least, but I do want to become a good alchemist and have a family" he said

" Any love interests you have currently.. and I'd love to have a family myself..." She says then mummers under her breath " if I can even have children..."

Surion blushes hearing her question, " I have a crush on someone if that's what you mean" he mumbled

" Yeah me too.. but I choose not to say anything..." She says looking over at him.

Surion nodded and looked at the pile of papers on the coffee table

" Sorry if I made you uncomfortable.." She said softly, staring at her feet.

"I just haven't really admitted it to many... mainly cause she's older then me and isn't interested in me in that way" he said

" If I told you about mine.. you'd probably laugh.." She said looking over at him and nodding.

"Who knows Nagi who knows... life is a funny thing" Surion told her with a nod

" Um... if I told you whom... promise me you won't look at me funny.." She said, looking over at him, her cheeks a bit pinkened.

"If you want to tell me I wont stop you, but I wont pry for that info either" Surion said looking towards her

" Um.. um.. its you." she said, hiding her face in her hands, knowing it was bright red.

Surion stared mouth open in surprise he didn't look at her 'funny' persay, but rather surprised instead

" Yeah I know... its silly of me.. but I figured you had a right to know at least." She said, still covering her face.

"Thanks for telling me I guess" he said quietly before biting his lip hard

She lowers her hands and looks at him. " What... did I upset you?" She says, her eyes a bit tear filled.

"No, I... I just was not expecting this..." he admitted still watching her

She looked back over at him, her cheeks still bright red. " Forgive me.. you probably would have been better off if I had not said anything."

"You criticize yourself a lot" he mused quietly still watching her

" Its a habit.. especially when a lot of times I got into things I wasn't suppose to." She said quietly, looking over at him, her ears folding down lazily onto her head.

"A habit you should break, it only brings you down..." he quickly brought a hand to his mouth in an attempt to stifle an escaping yawn

Nagi smiled a bit. " Yeah probably... I am guessing you are tired." She said, leaning over to him and giving him a hug.

Surion nodded "chores kept me busy a lot today" he admitted accepting the hug

" Well I don't want to keep you up if you need your rest." She said, yawning herself and stretching out her legs.

Surion smiled "You can crash in one of the guest rooms upstairs in the shop if you want" he told her with a nod

She smiled. " Only if I am not intruding... I can sleep outside if need be." She said, her neck popping as she moved it back and forth. " yeouch.. that didn't feel good." She muttered.

"No the guest rooms are for the owners and other shop guests, that's what they are there for" he nodded

Alright. Well I will take you up on that offer then.. I don't trust myself trying to find my way back.. because I am very good at getting lost." She said

Surion smiled "You can ask Star in the morning to show you back if you want, she'd be out on rounds right now I think"

"Alright, I will. Thank you for a lovely evening." She said, leaning over and brushing her lips over his cheek and then standing up.

Surion nodded and watched her head out before heading for his own bedroom

She found her way back and into an unused room and fell asleep the instant her face hit the pillow.

Surion's Scribbles

Dear Jurnal Thing:

I sent Star to finde Nagee todae, she cam and visitd me. She had a strang pendant with a creetur in it and we destoyed it. And then jurnal, she tells me she has a crush on me! Oh jurnal I dont no wat to do ther, I hav a crush, but not on her.... I will have to think aboat it.

Emi follows Sur to the clinic

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion pulled open the clinic door entering after everyone was out of the doorway, he was followed by a tall Thane female... "You really did not have to come with me" he muttered feeling annoyed that she had tagged along

"You are too young to be out on your own" Emi replied following him in sounding like a mother hen

Ryoka Saikun

Ryoka turned towards the entrance to the two men and a baby that entered. "Hello sirs.. and adorable baby." She said, cradling Alustriel to her chest.


Nagi took a seat towards the back and sipped her root beer and her spiked tail curled around the edge of the seat and her wings folded down her back. Her large neko ears were relaxed against her head and she scratched her horn nubs thoughtfully.

RikProwley

Theodora immediately let out a squeal of delight. No matter where she went, she was delighted so long as it was well-lit and contained plenty of objects. The GMFC had plenty of objects to be sure and many of them were SHINY to boot. The little girl immediately reached out for the nearest.

Rikard walked over to the desk and glanced at the sign-in sheet. "We're early," he informed Torvwyn, leaning over to sign the sheet ever as Torvwyn squealed in alarm.

After six months, Rikard knew how to hold the baby in one arm and sign a paper with the other. Torvwyn just had trouble accepting this. "Do you want me to take her? Are you sure--"

"Fine, take her," said Rik abruptly, shifting Theodora so Torvwyn could pick her up. "I'm going to check some things in the back. Why don't you wait in the waiting area?" Rikard pointed to the chairs and started to walk off.

"Wait, where are you--"

"Don't worry, I'll be back soon," said Rikard with a wave. He disappeared down the hallway.

Torvwyn looked nervously at the chairs and children's toys, trying not to stare at the people in that direction. Six months and he knew he would never get used to the strange assortment of people on Gaia. He smiled weakly and walked towards them, trying to sound friendly as he bounced Theo up and down lightly in his arms. "H-hello!"

Saii

It really was a lovely day. The sun was out, the birds were chirping, there was also a pleasant chatter of pedestrians as they roam the area. These things went by unnoticed by a young woman, pushing her carriage towards the clinic. Granted, Saii was more composed and relaxed than her last visit, but she had decided to procrastinate on her chores that day, trying to take a small break from being everyone's maid.

So, she decided to improve her social life by visiting the clinic. Using one arm to carry Tobias, the other arm pushed the carriage containing Crystal through the doors of the clinic. As much as she tried to relax, Saii couldn't stop the nagging thoughts calling her to clean the castle... feed the millions of pets Winter owned...
Oh wells. They could go hungry for a day.

"I'm such a bad mommy aren't I..." She grinned, letting Toby's hands play with her face.

Alatariel Rakamash

"You are a child and a child should not be out alone!" Emi insisted

Surion hadn't even had a chance to look around the room yet before he turned to her "Would you quit acting like a mother hen? You are NOT my parent, if mum or dad thought I wasn't allowed to be out without them they'd tell me themselves!"

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi turned her head, hearing Surion's voice and spotted him and waved. ' Hey!" She said with a smile and was tossing a multi colored ball of ki up and down in her left hand.

RikProwley

Torvwyn plastered a smile on his face defensively as he slid towards the nearest chair. He tried to make it look like he was not disturbed by the presence of tails and horns and strange ears in the room. His brother was quarter-elven, but elven ears didn't have fur on them. "How do you do?" he inquired politely to Ryoka. He also tried not to listen in on Surion and Emi's budding argument. That would be rude of him.

Ryoka Saikun

" Oh I'm alright, just busy with the demands of parenthood.. is that little one there yours? She's cute." She said as her baby looked over at Theodora, her bright blue eyes curiously looking over the girl. ' oh how rude of me.. I'm Ryoka."

Alatariel Rakamash

Emi stared at him open mouthed and taken rather aback. Had her twin been there she would have had a quick come back, but couldn't....

Surion turned away from her and smiled "Hey there Nagi!" he said smiling and walked away from the stunned Tahnee, he looked at the male and the infant and waved his fingers at the lil girl smiling, he had a liking for little people

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi grinned and walked over to Surion and peeked over at the infant in the man's arms. " She's adorable."

RikProwley

"Yes, this is Theodora," said Torvwyn, lifting her slightly. "And I'm Torvwyn."

Theo reached her arms out at Ryoka and Alustriel. "Pway!" she squealed happily, waving her hands up and down. Bouncing with daddy was fun, but as she knew from her interactions with house guests people were even better, and unlike Torvwyn she had no compunctions concerned horns, tails, claws, ears, or anything else she might encounter. Quite to the contrary, she liked such things.

"Thank you," said Torvwyn to Nagi. He flashed a small smile. "She's only just six months old."

"Pway!" said Theodora again, this time at Nagi.

Saii

Upon entering, Saii immediately was greeted by a child arguing with...his guardian? Quietly, she directed the carriage to a chair near Torvwyn and Ryoko before settling down in it, unsure of when to speak up. After all, she didn't want to burst in midst of a conversation... so she merely scanned the room, looking for someone she knew. Saii did not notice Crystal's wandering hand from the carriage, which immediately grabbed hold Torvwyn's clothing, tugging insistently.

RikProwley

Torvwyn looked down at the tug with faint surprise. "Hi there," he said quickly. He smiled at Saii, encouraging but nervous. "Who's this?"

Ryoka Saikun

Ryoka smiled as Alustriel reached out to Theodora and made a gurgling sound, as if she were trying to laugh. " She is still a bit too young for playing..... only a few days old. actually. Nice to meet you sir." She said, as she watched her eldest daughter.

Nagi laughed and smiled at her. "Wanna play eh? Do you like bears?" She said, holding out a panda plush to the child.

RikProwley

"Eeee!" went Theodora, grabbing ahold of the bear tightly. Her little fingers closed around in what Torvwyn and Rikard liked to call "the Iron Grip of Pain" on account of the fact Theo could be rather indiscrete about what she was grabbing hold of. She liked her fathers' long robes but occasionally she got a fistful of leg instead and at her age, she failed to understand that this hurt. She just thought it was a way to make her daddies make loud noise.

"A bear! You have one of those at home," Torvwyn said to her. "I haven't seen one like that, though. Is it native to Gaia?"

Alatariel Rakamash

Emi sighed and dropped into a chair crossing her arms rather annoyed almost ready to just leave


Surion nodded to Nagi. "Yes she is adorable, how are you? I see you got back ok from the shop" He looked around giving all but Emi a big smile wishing she truly had not followed him

Saii

"Mm?" Saii blinked, shaking herself out of her thoughts before turning to Torvwyn, then noticing Crystal's hand latched onto him. "Oh!" She colored slightly, detaching Crystal's hand from him. "I'm sorry... this is my daughter, Crystal." Saii smiled nervously as well. "She's a bit of a trouble maker."

As if on cue, Crystal immediately began to wail, obviously begging for attention from her mother. Coloring more, Saii quickly picked her up from the carriage, now balancing Toby and Crystal on her lap. "And this is Tobias." She nodded to the little boy nodding off against her. "Oh, I'm Saii." She smiled again, a bit more confidently. "I'd shake your hand, but as you can see, they're a bit occupied."

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi smiled. " Yeah its a panda.. I always loved them growing up." She then turned to Surion. " I'm alright, just glad to see my mother out and about and actually smiling again" She said to him softly where only someone with superb hearing could pick it up.

RikProwley

"Torvwyn Eprinmaierson," said Torvwyn to Saii. "And don't worry about it. This little one here does the same thing all the time." He smiled more calmly now. "She's been quite the terror since she started walking. How about yours?"

Saii

Saii laughed softly, playfully bouncing a quiet Crystal on her knee. "They've only been crawling for about a few weeks now, and already they're causing chaos in their wake! Well, mostly Crystal. Toby's the quiet one..."

She leaned closer, taking a good look at his daughter. "She's so cute!" Saii gushed, a smile breaking onto her face. "What's her name?"

RikProwley

"Theodora Alys Prowley, Theo for short." Torvwyn tried to distract Theo from the panda bear but her grip was quite tight. She shook it and giggled. Torvwyn looked apologetically at Nagi. "I'm sorry, now that she's gotten hold of it she might not want to let it back."

Alatariel Rakamash

"I can believe that, she was upset and moody last time I saw her, mom has gone away for a bit since then too, so thats been several days..." He smiled and sat down

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi sat beside him then smiled at Theo. ' The little sweetie can keep the bear.. I make them for just that reason.. may it bring her lots of joy." She said as she turned back to Surion. " How are you doing?" She said, giving him a friendly hug.

RikProwley

"Thank you!" Torvwyn said, pleasantly surprised. "You hear that Theo? This si your bear now."

Even if she could not know the full meaning of those words, Theo seemed to understand it was now her bear because she immediately stuck the bear into her mouth. (Admittedly, she probably would have stuck it into her mouth anyway.) Her eyes scrunched up as she chomped down on it.

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion watched the girl and giggled "I remember being kinda like that with stuffed dragons" he mused "I'm good Nagi, how bout you since you've been rid of the creature in the pendant?"

Saii

"Beautiful name." Saii managed to say while attempting to keep a struggling Crystal on her lap. Almost as if she was determined to cause trouble, Crystal leaned over and gripped onto Torvwyn, a little pout gracing her face while Toby merely observed her, who was content were he was.

"Crystal!" She knew what those pouts meant. It was the "I'll start crying and never stop until I get what I want!" kind of pouts, and Saii knew that screaming and wailing did not do any good for the ears of those nearby. "I'm sorry...I think she really likes you! " Saii bit her lower lip, trying to gently tug her away from him.

RikProwley

"I'm flattered!" said Torvwyn honestly, shuffling Theo in his arms so he could free one hand for Crystal's entertainment. Never mind that this was precisely the same sort of motion for which he had started chiding Rikard earlier. "Hi there, Crystal. How do you do? You like my robe?"

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi smiled. " I have been good, no more of that horrid coughing or feeling weak... and thanks again for the help." She said brushing her ponytail away from her face and rubbing the top of her head. " I started growing horns." She said, blushing a bit.

Ryoka sat Alustriel down on the floor as she sat down in a chair and watched the infant try to get her foot in her mouth and let out a few small giggles. "Silly girl."

RikProwley

Theodora stopped munching on her panda and looked over at Alustriel with rapt attention. She raised the bear up in the air as high as she was able then swung it down against her side with a shout of "GAIIYAAAAH!" She seemed to be saying, "Look what I've got! Aren't you jealous?"

Saii

Crystal froze, her eyes landing on Theo. Fascinated, she began to squirm more, obviously trying to make friends with this smaller baby. "Ababoole ffshhbaaaaah!" She gurgled happily, again beginning to repeatedly tug on Torvwyn's robe.

Saii couldn't help but smile, allowing Crystal to do as she wished. Just as long she didn't do harm...

Ryoka Saikun

Alustriel looked over at Theo, tugging on her cat like ears and then reached her arms up towards the child, as if beckoning her to share the plush.

"I'm glad you are better, I'd hate to be constantly be hurt" He nodded he looked at what she was showing him "Horns.. cools"

Torvwyn suddenly found himself between a screaming baby... and another screaming baby. He tried not to look too concerned as he tried to balance himself between them. Theodora began to thrash about, wanting to be let down so she could run amuck. "Wameegy!" she said loudly. "Abbas waboat!"

"Uhm," said Torvwyn helpfully. He honestly had no idea what the meant, particularly since he'd thought "waboat" meant "rabbit." Apparently not. He immediately began to wish Rikard would return. What was keeping him so long?

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi nodded. " They hurt.. breaking through but I am slowly getting used to it.. so, what have you been up to since I last saw you and who was that you came in with?"

Alustriel made a babbling sound and wiggled her tail and wings as she rocked back and forth, trying to roll over.

Saii

Crystal tugged for a few more seconds, then, concluding that her trouble making...wasn't exactly trouble, she looked to Tobias, a mischievous sort of smile on her face. Toby, knowing the look, immediately reached out and grabbed Crystal's tail, a triumphant look on his face. Wailing, Crystal thwapped his hand, trying to make him let go.

It wasn't long before they both began to cry, as all of their, "Tug of Tails" game always end in as a result. Saii sighed. "If kids didn't cry so much, the world would be a better place." She muttered, leaning back to cradle them. The joys of motherhood.

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion nodded "I wouldn't know that feeling I was born with mine, mum says her's hers when they started growing" he said

RikProwley

The noise quickly set Theodora in motion as well. With Torvwyn not wanting to let her down and Crystal yowling in her ear... Theo scrunched her face up until ti turned red and then started to wail. It was mild at first, a mere squealing, but it soon escalated. "Uwah... UWAAAAAAH!"

"Oh, Theo," said Torvwyn unhappily, trying to distract her. "Shhh! Hush!"

"UWAAAAAAAAH! WAH!"

Saii

"Oh dear oh dear..." Saii rocked her children, feeling horribly guilty for having them causing for Theo to cry as well. "I'm sorry Torvwyn!" She desperately tried to calm them down. Oh dear...

It didn't take too long, as Crystal quieted first, her eyes turning towards Theo. She sniffed, almost in a dignified manner as she watched Theo. Tobias quieted down after Crystal as well, also turning to observe Theo, though he was beginning to feel irritable from the noise she was creating.

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi nodded and smiled at him then her face turned dark pink. " I still hope I didn't make you feel uncomfortable around me when I told you... what I told you." She said, looking over at him.

Alustriel's little face wrinkled up as she made little whimpers and tugged on her ears, as if the noise of the room was upsetting her.

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion winced and pressed his hands tight to his head, the crying was loud, much louder then he liked, but it didn't help he had sensitive hearing

RikProwley

"No, I'm sorry!" said Torvwyn. He used his free hand now to take hold of Theo's bear and wave it around a bit in a sort of bouncing dance. He even added a bit of song. "La la la!"

One crying baby could have been ignored, perhaps even two, but given that half the wailing belonged to his daughter the commotion brought Rikard running. "Holy Morgause!" he exclaimed as he returned to the waiting area, careful to leave the usual expletive out. "Is this is Third Elven War?"

"Rik!" said Torvwyn, and Theodora paused in her crying at the name and looked over at her other father.

"ADDY!" she squealed, her upset quickly forgotten. She released the bear and reached out towards Rik.

The sorcerer was only too happy to slide over to his daughter and gather her up in his arms.

"Addy go da!" said Theo.

"You wanna go down? Okay!" He immediately let her to the floor where she sat down heavily and looked around for the bear.

"You always give her what she wants," sighed Torvwyn. "What about the germs?"

Rikard just rolled his eyes. He should have never tried told Torvwyn about the existence of tiny invisible little monsters called germs. He quickly changed the subject. "Is this a party out here or what?" he inquired of the room.

Ryoka Saikun

Ryoka laughed. " Not really... then again dependson your definition of a party persay.." She said, watching Alustriel going for her foot again.

Nagi reached over and covered Surion's ears until the crying stopped, her own ears folded down to block out the noise.

RikProwley

Rikard flopped down on the floor, quickly grasped that Theo was after the bear, and fetched it obligingly for her. "Looks like a party to me. Except it needs some alcohol and music."

The noise Torvwyn made at that idea sounded suspiciously like a disapproving groan. Rikard ignored it. "You all get knocked up here or somewhere else?" he asked the ladies.

Now that was definitely a disapproving groan.

Saii

Saii laughed nervously, feeling horribly guilty and quite embarrassed. She couldn't help but smile at Theodora's affection towards Rik. It was rather sweet... She wondered, when Tobias and Crystal would start attempting to form actual words?

"I would say it's more of a gathering, than a party." She commented. " Though the children crying could pass as a form of music...and, excuse me?" Saii blinked at Rik's question.

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion glanced at Nagi as her hands landed atop of his own he started humming a tune his mother once hummed to him when he was little

RikProwley

"Rikard!" said Torvwyn, a wail equal to any produced by the children.

"Whaaat?" said Rik. "I'm just wondering how many of these little things are in some way my responsibility. I'm a very important person around here you know." He nodded sharply and Theo giggled in apparent agreement before starting to half-slide, half-crawl towards Alustriel, panda in tow.

Ryoka Saikun

Ryoka burst into chuckles at Rik's question then responded. " Well my husband seen to the baby making till he died.. and my infertility issue has struck.. I mainly started coming here on behalf of my twin Selene who wants a baby so badly but can't have one without some aid." She said with a shrug.

Nagi blushed a bit and tried to hum Surion's tune with him, her hands staying on his.

Alustriel let out a large babbling sound as she caught her foot in her mouth and gummed on it.

RikProwley

"I'm so sorry to hear that!" said Torvwyn immediately, turning to Ryoka. He looked quite sorry, too.

Alatariel Rakamash

Eventually Surion stopped humming and slowly pulled his hands from his ears relieved it didn't seem as loud

Saii

"Um..." Saii allowed Ryoka to finish before starting, "Here. Winter and I wanted children... so Dr. Kamiki and Reevely helped us out!" She glanced at her watch, her eyes widening at the time. "Oh dear. It's getting late...and it's time for their nap," Saii gestured to Tobias and Crystal, before placing them into the carriage. "It was really nice to meet you all! And I'm sorry for the trouble we caused!" She smiled warmly before heading out.

Ryoka Saikun

Ryoka smiled at Torvwyn. " Its alright, he died an honorable death.. and war has a way of taking from you what you love, but you also have to think that their body may be gone, but the spirit never dies... I learned this from a very wise woman that I sadly don't see here tonight." She says then nods to Saii. " I'll keep that in mind and nice to meet you as well, good luck with your twins.. I feel your pain.. I have two sets of twins." She said with a slight chuckle.

Nagi pulled her hands back and smiled at Surion. " That's a rather lovely song.. where did you learn it?"

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion looked to Nagi "My mum hummed it to me when I was little, it was something that put me to sleep"

RikProwley

"I can't imagine what I'd do without my brother or Rik," said Torvwyn softly. His eyes fell away and his shoulders slumped. It wasn't so long ago that he had been facing death himself and it still troubled him.

But when his eyes fell they fell onto Theodora and he smiled again. "Children are so wonderful, aren't they?"

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi smiled. " Well its lovely.. and you sound nice when you hum.. I found it rather relaxing." she said with a smile, poking at her horns again then she laughed softly as she poked his tail with her own.

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion nodded "Yeah.. very relaxing" he yawned, I think I need a nap. He stood up from the chair

Ryoka Saikun

Ryoka nodded with a smile. " Yes they are.. they make the burden of ruling a warring nation so much less stressful. Because I can retire to the playroom and watch them... I have four of my own, and my oldest is the girl that came in with me named Nagisa. The little one there I brought with me is Alustriel. I have yet to have a single childbirth yet.. all were multiple.. as it runs in my race, but I hope that my barren womb is only a temporary set back because I rather like to have a large family and so did my husband.. it took us 12 years to conceive Alustriel and her twin Atreyuu. I heard about this place and hoped they could help me and my twin sister conceive." She said with a small sigh.

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi nodded to him. " So you are leaving then?' She asked, her expression looking like one of mild sadness. She hated not being able to spend more time with her best friend.

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion nodded "I should I gotta get some stuff done at home, chores specifically" he admitted with a sigh, "You know where my place is though, you are welcome to visit"

RikProwley

Torvwyn blinked. It was a lot to take in at once. He wasn't sure which to ask about, the fact that she was a different species, the fact that she ruled a nation, or something on a completely different subject altogether.

He never had to figure out because just then there arose a faint call from the hallway. "Dr. Prowley?"

"Coming!" Rikard shouted, scrambling to his feet. He scooped up Theodora in one smooth motion, panda and all. "That's us!"

Torvwyn sighed, a little elated and a little disappointed. "I'm sorry, I guess we have to be going now. It was a pleasure to meet you, Ryoka." He stumbled the tiniest bit over the name; a syllable like "ryo" did not come naturally to him. "And Alustriel." He extended her his hand.

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi smiled. " I will find my way there somehow." She said with a small chuckle and gave him a hug.

Ryoka nodded to Torvwyn and held out her hand, retracting her claws before extending her hand to shake his. " Likewise Mr. Torvwyn and I can tell you have questions, I am always around here and if not.." She says, scribing a mailing address down that was located in Aekea. " You can feel free drop by or send mail. I have no problem answering any questions you might have and good luck with your daughter." She says with a smile, her large black and red furred ears folding down on her head and her long cat like white tail with the seven wicked looking stingers at the end swayed out of the way to avoid hitting anyone.

Alustriel looked over at the man and sucked her thumb as her own little brown tail made a waving motion to him and Theodora.

RikProwley

"Have a wonderful day," said Torvwyn as he docilely followed Rikard deeper into the clinic, address in hand.

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion smiled and nodded pulling the hover disc from his pocket and enlarging it "See you soon Nagi" he said with a smile and headed out hopping the disc heading for the sky before Emi had even a chance to get out the door

Ryoka Saikun

Nagi smiled and walked over to her mother and scooped up Alustriel. " Come on midget.. time to go back to mommy and home to bed for you." She said, passing the child off to her mother and then leaving the clinic herself.

Ryoka waved to her exiting teen daughter then sat down for a moment and rocked Alustriel till she fell asleep then teleported out of the clinic.

Ala Returns Home

It took a bit longer to get back. But when they did, they again returned to the room they had started in.

Ala breathed a deep sigh of relief once they were back, she'd stopped slinging her arm as they entered and was happy to find it had it's use back as she moved it her gem now fading

Melania sat down next to her, and Malkar stood. "We have decided on your name, given the trophy..." He murmured.

Ala nodded she was slowly unwrapping the bandages from her arm as he spoke

"You will be know as Horn-Render..." Malkar said. "Your totem is Dragon..." He knelt. "Welcome..."

Ala smiled "Thankyou" she said softly

Melania smiled. "How about you stay at my place for the night Ala, that way you're rested and fully healed when you get home." She said standing and heading for her clothes, the markings had long since worn away.

Ala thought "I could, though I know Torvil is worried" she said, she could feel that

Melania smiled softly. "Well, you can explain later... I really do insist sister..." She said.

Ala sighed "All right..." she said though she really did want to just go home and fall asleep in her mate's arms

Melania smiled softly and patted her cheek. "unless you really, want to go home.." She said weakly. "I miss my mate too..." She tossed Ala her clothes

"I do to be honest, I miss Torvil as much as you miss Ryokusen" she said pulling her clothing on

Melania nodded. "Alright... Well once we leave I'll let you go on your way..." She smiled and hugged Ala. "I'm glad you're one of us now..."

"Thankyou for being there with me Melania" she said hugging her back tightly

Melania smiled. "I'm glad I was..." She smiled and let go, heading out

Ala followed her out "See you soon I promise" she said and with a soft 'crack' she was gone landing in her bedroom at home a few minutes later looking utterly exhausted

Torvil was in bed... Alone... 'Reading'

"Reading isn't exactly the welcome I hoped for" she said softly

In about oh... give him two seconds, tho it was probably more like a half of one, Torvil was on his feet and had Ala in his arms, in one of the strongest kisses he could muster, you could feel his worry melt away just from looking at him

Ala purred melting into the kiss hugging him back her left arm just a tiny weaker then her right

Torvil pulled back slowly and looked into her eyes. "So?" he asked her softly.

"I killed a dragon, I went North, nearly lost my arm in the process" she said softly

Torvil's eyes went wide and you could just see his muscles tense.

"I'm fine just sore, see?" she said lifting her arm, it was covered in scars but otherwise fine

Torvil tossed her on the bed and went after the scarred arm. Kissing it like mad

Ala laughed "Oh Claw-Killer you silly"

Torvil purred louder and kissed up her arm. "And what's yours?" He asked softly.

"Horn-Render" she said with a laugh and a grin moving to cuddle "And this lil Horn Render is exhausted"

Torvil purred and cuddled her. "Then, my little Horn-Render... Sleep..." He kissed her happily and purred then snuggled.

Ala purred and cuddles close closing her eyes and soon falling asleep right there

Torvil brushed her hair and spent most of the night looking at her scarred arm, kissing it. Torvil finally did sleep and when he awoke, he did so with a yawn.

Ala slept peacefully beside of him though if one thing could be said for her... she needed a shower

Torvil sniffed at her a purred. She smelled so... Huntery... That made his mouth water. He slowly inched closer to her and kept snuffling.

Torvil's snuffling tickled and woke her, she opened an eye looking at him

Torvil purred at her and licked her nose. "Hehe... You smell like a hunter"

Ala chuckled "I hope so, after spending all that time hunting and traveling"

Torvil chuckled and nuzzled her. "I can't say that it smells bad... Tho I'm sure someone else would want you to shower..."

Ala laughed "is that so"

Torvil nodded and purred

Ala laughed lifting both arms and wrapping them around his neck

Torvil purred and slowly rolled them out of bed.

Ala giggled moving with him "Melania wanted me to stay at her place last night"

Torvil chuckled. "I'm glad you didn't... I was about to go there..." He said slowly standing.

Ala chuckled "You didn't even know if I was done though did you"

Torvil shook his head. "I was gonna see if you'd gotten back yet..."

"ya would have found me sitting with the others unwrapping bandages from my arm" she told him

Torvil chuckled weakly and hugged her tight as he started to walk for the bathroom.

Ala purred and walked with him "I'm glad she was with me though"

Torvil nodded. "I am too..." he murmured softly, brushing her scars.

"I passed out after I killed it" she said softly knowing she could tell him, he'd been a hunter a lot longer then she

Torvil smiled softly and kissed her ear. "Yes, good she was there"

"I think I would have been the next dragon's lunch if she wasn't I didn't wake till the next day in the afternoon" she said cuddling close

Torvil purred and cuddled with her happily.

Ala giggled "I think I lost count how long I was gone, Surion ok?"

Torvil nodded. "He's fine..." he smiled softly. "He misses you tho

Ala smiled softly, "What did you tell him" she asked as they got in the bathroom

Torvil smiled. "That mommy had to go do something important at the cliffs... I didn't want him to worry..."

Ala nodded "Ok, if he saw me right now he'd know, lets have a shower and get cleaned up"

Torvil smiled and moved to get her showered. "Yeah..." He smiled softly.

Ala pulled away stripping the little clothing she had on and shook out her hair it was plainly obvious where the dragon had gotten her

Torvil winced a little at some of it, and was gentle. "You got lucky..."

Ala nodded "Yeah I think so too" she said softly lifting and turning her arm over and back looking at it

Torvil smiled and moved his hand to her face, pointing at his middle and index fingers. "I lost those on mine..."

Ala leaned forward kissing her mate's tips of his fingers

Torvil purred and smiled. "Hurt..." he said softly. "But thankfully they grew back..." he smiled and kissed her softly as he nudged her towards the shower his clothes slowly falling to the floor.

Ala laughed at his nudges "the big ol brute got what he deserved though, got him right through the eye with Melania's knife after he snapped my spear" she climbed in

Torvil chuckled. "Good..." He smiled and walked in, turning the tap to warm as he purred. "I got mine with my spear... Right in the maw..."

"I think they ate all the smaller animals, dragons was all I saw" she sighed "besides a few birds though not that I wanted a bird as a totem" she tipped her head back in the water

Torvil chuckled. "Melania would have been a bit insulted by that.." He grinned watching her. "But yeah, they do... But soon they'll start eating each other and the animals will return"

"I don't mean that they are a bad totem, honest, but if I was going to wind up picking the hard direction I might as well challenge myself at least a bit" she said

Torvil chuckled and kissed her happily. "That's my Horn-Reaver..." he purred loudly.

"Render love, Horn-Render" she said giggling

Torvil smacked his head and poked her nose. "See! See! This is why you shouldn't tell me important things late at night!" he laughed.

Ala laughed "You are the one who asked what it was" she nipped at his finger

Torvil laughed and growled at her. "Hehe, true..." He chuckled and moved closer, kissing her happily

"I don't think you're complaining I've returned though" she purred

Torvil purred louder and growled, kissing her more. "Mmmm..." He said softly. "I'm very happy you're back..."

"I could tell, by the speed you got to me last night" she purred

Torvil purred and nuzzled her more, kissing and purring at her. He missed her so much...

Ala purred returning his nuzzles "One more hunter to drink the strength of" she said

Torvil purred and chuckled. "Yeah..." he said softly.

Ala made it to his neck and without another word, sunk her teeth into his neck

Torvil purred loudly digging his fingers into her sides, his hands working them softly.

Ala growled and fed from him happily

Torvil purred and finally just rested against her softly. "Visha, I love you, Ala..."

"Love you too Torvil, with all that I am... " she purred softly pulling away

Torvil smiled and nuzzled her. "Mmmm..."

Ala purred happily "Love you" she said softly

Torvil smiled and licked her again. "love you too..."

"Least now there's not rules in the way of us talking" she mused softly

Torvil purred and nodded. "Yeah... I'm glad for that..." He said softly.

Ala purred her tail still wrapped tightly around their midsections "You are the sexiest Dragonic I know" she purred kissing his nose

Torvil chuckled softly and kissed her nose in return. "Nu... You are..." He smiled.

"You" Ala teased back with a grin

Torvil chuckled. "No, you!" he smiled.

"You!" Ala laughed

Torvil chuckled. "You, and that's final!" he laughed loudly and kissed her.

"Us!" Ala countered

Torvil grinned. "Fine, I can live with that..." He chuckled and cuddled her.

Ala purred "Suppose we should make sure our son is behaving" she mused

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah... "

Ala watched her arm as she moved a hand along it "I don't think those will ever go away" she mused

Torvil moved over and took the arm, giving it a soft kiss. "Is it bad that I don't want them too?"

Ala chuckled "Nah..."

Torvil purred and kissed up along it, moving towards her shoulder. "Good..."

Ala purred and watched him the scars stopped around the height of a short t-shirt length on her arm and went to her wrist.. "Wonder what Surion will think" she mused

Torvil chuckled. "Probably want to know what happened first of all... After that..." he shrugged, kissing back down them.

"I think to avoid questions from the average non cliff person I should not wear short sleeves though, it's kinda hard to tell them why I can't explain them" she mused

Torvil chuckled softly and kissed her ear. "Or lie..." He murmured holding her close to him.

Ala chuckled "You know I am not good at that"

Torvil chuckled softly and kissed her ear again. "I know... But it would be good practice... I really like your arms, and I think putting on long sleeves would be a crime..."

Ala smiled softly "At least for when I go to Barton then, I don't want every single person staring" she said softly

Torvil sighed. "Okay... You win..." He poked her nose softly. "Horn-Render..." He said softly.

Ala laughed "Claw-Killer" she poked him right back "I take it that means you brought back it's claws"

Torvil chuckled. "yes..." He smiled softly. "I wear them when I go..."

Ala stared at him for a moment "Does hat mean I have to wear those danged horns..."

Torvil nodded slowly. "On something... You wear your trophy..." He said softly.

"Well er... that should be interesting..." she said and headed for the bedroom her mind preoccupied on how the hell she'd wear them

Torvil chuckled and walked with her... Then he started to laugh. "You'll be horny..."

Ala went wide eyed and beet red stopping dead in her tracks

Torvil laughed softly and grinned.

"Dear Visha why didn't I bring something else back" she mumbled not moving

Torvil moved over and grabbed her around the waist. "Don't sweat it love..." He smiled softly.

Ala nodded and sighed "Well what is done is done... there was lots of whispering when said north though, mostly about 'following' you"

Torvil chuckled. "I went North-West..." He smiled.

"I know, Melania told me before we picked up speed" she chuckled

Torvil smiled and kissed her ear. "Okay... I just have to say this once so I can get it out of my system..." He couldn't help but chuckle. "My horny Horn-Render..." He whispered.

Ala swatted him HARD for that "brat" she said and pulled away from him

Torvil chuckled softly. "I had to!" He rubbed his shoulder.

Ala turned and gave him a 'look' "Enough with the jokes ok, that wasn't an easy thing to do, I didn't grow up in the same environment you did"

Torvil let out a low sigh. "I know love... And the jokes aren't meant to be hurtful..." He said softly, leaning back against the wall. "I'm sorry..." He looked at his feet.

Ala sighed and walked over to him "I know love, I know" she reached and put her hand on his cheek

Torvil looked up at her slowly, some red running down his cheeks now. "I upset you didn't I?" He said softly.

"A little, I didn't chose the name I got, you know that, I did this for you" she said softly

Torvil smiled weakly and kissed her. "And I'm happy you did..." He murmured softly. "And I'm very proud of you, you can't even begin to fathom how proud I am.." He said softly. "Alright, so I said something stupid, granted, it wasn't the smoothing thing to say..." He looked away again.

Ala sighed and used the hand on his cheek to pull his face back and then planted a soft kiss on his lips

Torvil's chest started to rumble softly, a soft purr escaping. He let her hold the kiss, still feeling bad that he'd upset her, and he would for most of the day.

Ala broke away and sighed she turned away and went to get dressed

Torvil moved to get dressed, he looked over at her and said. "You know what I'm gonna do..."

"What?" Ala asked quietly as she pulled out some non-cliff garb and started to get dressed

"I'm gonna go to Barton today... And get you something pretty..."

"Oh Torvil love you don't have to do that" she said quietly

Torvil turned back to getting dressed. "I don't have to... But I want to... You earned it... More than..." He said softly, finishing up his buttons. "Maybe a nice dress... Or a necklace... Or something..." he thought aloud.

"Alright " she said softly knowing she would never convince him he didn't need to do that

When Torvil finished dressing he walked over and kissed her, before heading out to tell Surion his mom was home...

Ala sighed standing by her mirror to brush her long hair out as he left

Torvil walked down the hall to Surion's room, to see if he was there. Stopping by Devin's door to listen and see if the Hybrid was still there.


Surion was actually making breakfast, or trying to at least, he was hungry and tired of waiting for his dad

Torvil chuckled and moved over to help him. "Hey.... Mom's home..."

Surion looked up "She Is? what was it that took so long?" he asked pausing with the knife and bread

"All the animals were eaten by dragons..." He chuckled softly. "And probably cause she has oh... Scars from here.. to here..." he motioned on his arm.

Surion just about dropped his food "What? how? what was she doing around dragons besides our kind?" he asked his dad

"Hunting them for her totem..." He grinned. "I think she almost lost the arm from the looks of it..."

Now he did drop it "Mom went on a hunt?!" this startled him, he didn't think she would

Torvil chuckled. "yeah she did... That's why she went to the cliffs in the first place... And pick that up quick, five-second rule..."

Surion scrambled to grab the food then looked back at his father "What she bring back?" he asked curiously

"Horns... She's Horn-Render..." he said softly.

"Horns of what, there's lots of creatures with horns" he said he knew that was true, heck even he had horns

Torvil chuckled. "D-R-A-G-O-N..."

Surion had to put the food down "What the heck is she going after dragons for! there has to be other creatures to pick what direction did she go?!?" he was now firing questions at his father as if his father was a target of a firing squad

"N-O-R-T-H..." He smirked, being very slow with the information.

"NORTH!?!" Surion stared at him "What made her go the hardest way?!"

Torvil rolled his eyes. "Don't you remember your hunt, did they tell you what was there?"

Surion went silent "Emm no" he blushed slightly

Torvil chuckled. "See..." he bowed his head. "She should be out soon..." He smiled softly. "I'm gonna head into Barton, so uhm... Don't wait up..." He said, bowing his head and heading for the door.

All right dad" he said and looked in the direction of the bedroom as his father left

Torvil headed out the door... He felt like going to Barton... He waited to see if they wanted to tag along...

Noone came out, Surion himself abandoned his food and went to go see his mom

Surion redecorates his room

Torvil was just about finished uploading the software that would allow him to surf the... intra-web... No... Internet? Yah, that was in... Internet... He had the modem hooked up and everything... When he heard a screeching and bumping noise from Surion's room. He leaned in his chair and stuck his head out into the hall. "SUR?"

Another loud dragging like noise then silence and Surion poked his head into the hall "Yeah dad?"

"What the bloody hell are you doing in there? Hiding a body?" Torvil laughed softly with a mischievous grin.

"Nothing dad, just working on a project" he said with a smile "No bodies"

"Oh... So you have a girl in your room then... Okay, carry on..." Torvil laughed and slid back all the way into the chair, finishing up the registration process.

Surion pulled his head back into the room closing the door, after a time the noises started up again

Torvil waited a little bit before he got up and slowly stuck his head in Surion's door... Just in case he DID have a girl in there... Doubtful as that may seem... And yeah... he was a kid... but he was MATURE for his age.

Surion was in the process of pushing his desk across the room his tongue stuck out the corner of his mouth as he pushed it towards the growing pile of belongings that were in the very center of his room

"Would you like some help before you give yourself a hernia?"

Surion looked up "If you want to dad" he smiled still pushing

Torvil nodded and walked over. He took one end of the desk in his hand and then slid his hand under the desk till he felt it balance and then lifted, leaving a good inch or two of air between the bottom of the desk and floor. "Where too..."

"Just into the pile" Surion said standing up again now that his dad had the desk

Torvil nodded and headed to the pile putting it down on the outskirts

Surion looked around all that was left near any wall was dirt a single set of shelves and the odd things that had been under the furniture that he had still to clean up

Torvil looked over and moved slowly grabbing the shelves and starting to move them himself once again

Surion wandered the parameter of his room picking up the trash soon finishing and bouncing a lil on the balls of his feet with a smile

"So... Why the sudden moving of the furniture?"

"Redecorating" he said with a grin now looking at the walls deciding

"Wait... WAH!? What's wrong with the paint as it is?!"

Surion turned looking at his father in surprise "Uhm it's little person colors?" he didn't really have an exact reason

"Oh well excuse me for trying..." Torvil mumbled, looking at the walls and shaking his head.

"It's nice dad... but I'm not a little person... or at least that's what you keep telling me" he mumbled he bit his lip and then since he was right near the door walked out of the room with the feeling his dad was upset at him weighing on him

Torvil sighed. "Surion... Come here..."

Surion stopped and turned around he was mostly in the hall by the time his father had called him

"I'm not mad at you... I should have expected you to want the change the paint at some point... It's just... special to me... because I did this... For you... before you were born..."

Surion nodded and looked at the floor still biting his lip

"What color do you want it now?

Surion pointed to two cans that had been at the edge of the pile away from where Torvil currently was, each had a dried splash of color on it what color was in the cans

Torvil moved over and knelt down to get a better look.

One was a blue the other a deep chocolate raspberry brown

Torvil let out a light sigh and shook his head. "Alright..."

"You could help me... then it'd still be by you" Surion said after a few minutes quietly

"I will... I just wish you'd gotten my taste in colors..." He said softly with a light, if slightly heavy chuckle. "Selfish as that is..."

Surion couldn't help but chuckle and then he walked back into the room

Torvil slowly opened the paint bucket and sighed, his hand softly touching the wall. "Good bye ole paint..."

"There is pictures of it isn't there dad?" he asked

"Yeah..." He murmured softly. "But it's still not quite the same... You'll understand a bit better when you get a little older..."

Surion's smile drooped he had a feeling he had just disappointed his father

Torvil turned and smiled at him softly. "Come on, lets get to work... Rooms don't paint themselves ya know..."

Surion nodded and walked closer reaching for a roller

Torvil started to paint, putting down the base coat first. He worked as quickly as he dare, not wanting to make the work... Faulty

Surion worked a lil further down the same wall he was silent as he moved

"Hey Sur..." Torvil murmured at him when the got closer to him, his hand working the paintbrush on a bit of detail.

Surion looked up "Yeah dad?" he asked quietly

"Think fast..." Torvil grinned and he ran the brush down the front of Surion's face, the brush was held sideways so he wouldn't get his eyes, and Sur now had a blue streak from his forehead to his nose.

Surion jumped "Oooooo you gonna get it" and he went after his dad's arm with his own brush

Torvil laughed as he was marked, and soon it became an all out paint WAR

It was the first time in a while he had laughed so much as the two of them had their paint war

Torvil soon ended the war by tackling Surion... Not hard... but hard enough to get him on the floor... well Torvil on the floor, having had rolled so he wouldn't crush the boy and he lay there laughing.

Surion panted softly looking up at the ceiling, he had paint all over him and was glad he was wearing clothing that hadn't mattered if it was painted

Torvil laughed softly and finally sighed. "That was fun..." He murmured.

Surion nodded his agreement "Yeah, it was" he looked over at his dad and gave him a smile

Torvil smiled and ruffled his hair. "Lets finish this up... Then we can take turns taking baths..."

Surion nodded and got up "Yeah then it can finish drying"

Torvil nodded and got up as well, moving over to re pick up his brush to paint

Surion smiled and got back to work half hour later he stood back smiling at their work now that it was complete

Torvil smiled as his was too. "Good... Now we let this dry... Then put on the second coat..."

Surion nodded "Yeah, thanks for your help dad" he said with a smile

Torvil smiled and ruffled his hair. "No prob Sur..."

Surion giggled "Was fun to do it with you" he smiled looking at their work liking how it almost looked like there was vertical light blue stripes in the paint, in part honesty he had wanted to do it to get his mind off what had been keeping it occupied for the past while

Torvil smiled. "Yeah..." He chuckled and ruffled Surion's hair... and then gave him a wet willy to boot.

Surion jumped "ACK!" and he turned and ran out of the room intent on stealing a shower first now

Torvil laughed. "HEY! Get back here you! That shower is mine!" He called, giving chase.

"No it's not!" Surion laughed as he ducked his father's grasp any time he got close and then hurried ahead into the bathroom

Torvil chuckled and and kept trying to nab him before he could steal the shower.

Surion skidded to a stop... inside the shower and started to shed his clothing

"Oh that's cheating!" Torvil called, skidding into the bathroom and falling over, but not making and noises of being hurt. He scurried back up onto his feet and tried to get Surion' before he could start the water

Surion laughed throwing his pants at his dad and kicking off the boxers his other hand turning the knob "This cheater won!"

"This sir... Is war..." and with that, Torvil ran out of the room... To the water heater...

Surion laughed his eyes turning a nice bright emerald green

Torvil grumbled, and shut the water heater off, actually... He took the coils out even, just cause he could.

Surion didn't notice, he was controlling the water when it came out as he hummed and smiled and got clean

Torvil waited a few minutes and then slowly put the coils in... The brat had one... This round... But there would be next time...

Surion turned the water off and hopped out closing his eyes as he toweled off his eyes remained green as he did

Torvil slowly came back up the stairs wiping off his hands as he did.

Surion had himself all wrapped up in the towel, he didn't even leave room for another wet willy

Torvil chuckled as he entered the shower, looking around to see if Surion was still around

He was just barely into the hall actually

Torvil looked down at him as he passed and chuckled. "You win this round... but the war will yet be mine..."

"Is that so dad?" he asked not looking at him but grinning lightly

"Yes..." He murmured slowly moving into the bathroom and shutting the door, stripping down.

Surion smirked and wandered slowly down the hall waiting and listening for the sound of running water

Torvil turned on the hot tap, giving the shower a few minutes to heat up cause he'd JUST replaced the coils

Surion stopped, standing at his door looking towards the bathroom his keen hearing waiting for the sounds of his father IN the shower

Torvil slowly got in the shower when it was warm enough for him... Meaning the room was already FULL of steam.

That's when Surion smirked as he took control of the water again... taking from it the heat as his father had tried to do to him

When the water turned cold there was dead silence for a moment and then... "SURION ASMODEUS RAKAMASH! YOU ADD HEAT TO THE WATER RIGHT NOW OR VISHA HELP ME YOU'RE GROUNDED!"

Surion release control his eyes turning blue and he laughed running into the room and closing the door

Torvil sighed and shook his head. "Purely his mother's influence..." He murmured as he finished up his shower.

Surion sighed and got dressed then sat amongst his pile of belongings staring at the newly painted wall

Torvil stuck his head in the door once he was redressed and then smiled. "Alright you little trouble maker... Lets get this done..."

Surion nodded and got up "K dad" he said heading for the paint again

Torvil smiled, and slowly crept up behind Surion.

Surion looked over his shoulder he could hear his dad, the hunt teaching him to pay close attention

Torvil chuckled. "You have learned well grasshopper... Can you snatch the fly from my hand yet..." ((Yesh... You see why I try not to let him watch those damn B-movies right?))

Surion stared at him for a moment and then picked up a brush and moved to go back to work

Torvil chuckled. "I'll have to have you watch that movie too..." He murmured as he picked up his brush and started again.

"Yeah" he said quietly working on the painting

Torvil chuckled softly. "I was kidding on the grounding thing you know..."

"Yeah... I know" he replied working slowly

Torvil sighed. "What's wrong Surion?"

Surion let his arm drop "You called me my whole name, you've only ever done that once, and that was when I froze up at the top of the ramp" he said quietly looking down towards the floor

Torvil sighed. "Surion... It happens when Parent's get a bit ticked at their children... I should have expected that from you though... and I apologize..."

Surion nodded still staring at the floor biting his lip

Torvil put his brush down and pulled Surion close to him, brushing his hair,.

Surion let himself be pulled glad his mum was in Barton that day on errands

Torvil sighed and brushed his hair. "How about we take a break... and get a snack?"

"Ok dad" he said quietly and reached putting the brush down

Torvil moved slowly out of the room, heading for the freezer.

Surion followed after his dad

Torvil got out two LARGE bowls and started to fill them with ice cream, Getting some fixings too

Surion dropped into his chair at the table and watched his father work

Torvil then slid the finished sundae to Surion starting to eat his own

Surion took it "Thanks dad" he said quietly as he dug into the treat

Torvil nodded. "No prob Sur... Is it really that bad that I used your full name?"

"Makes me feel like I'm in trouble not doing what I should be doing, least when it's said in that tone" he said playing with the toppings with his spoon

Torvil sighed. "Well in truth you were being a brat... But I set myself up for that... So I really shouldn't have yelled..."

"Yeah you did... by trying to take the hot water from me and telling me it was a war" he said staring at the ice-cream

Torvil sighed. "I apologize..." He sighed and stopped eating. "Truce?"

Surion nodded looking up from the dish

Torvil stuck his hand out. "Truce... Then we can go back to being normal happy people kay?"

Surion took his hand "I dont know that I'm all that normal... it's part of the reason I wanted to do this... get my mind off... things"

Torvil smiled softly and then reached across the table and ruffled his hair. "Surion... You're mature for your age... It's natural... Everything will work out... trust me... now eat your ice-cream... it's melting..."

Surion nodded and dug into the ice cream once again swinging his legs a little under the table as he ate

Torvil ate his as well watching Surion to make sure he was doing alright now

Surion finished his snack and pushed the dish away "Thanks" he said quietly

Torvil smiled softly and finished his, taking the dishes and putting them in the sink. "Shall we go finish?"

Surion nodded and headed for his room once more

Torvil headed there quickly as well.

Surion walked in and looked around "Almost done actually" he mused

Torvil nodded. "Yeah..."

Surion got to work intent on finishing up

Torvil quickly worked moving along as fast as he could to do a good job.

Surion soon put down his brush and sighed "Done... now it has to dry again"

Torvil nodded. "Shouldn't take too long.... half hour at most...

"Then I am gonna put the bed there and the shelves there..." he started to point out where he wanted all his furniture

Torvil smiled and nodded listening the whole time.

"And I think that should cover it..." he said reaching into the pile and pulling from it his spear which he turned in his grasp

Torvil nodded and smiled. "Alright..." He murmured. "now we wait..."

Surion nodded and picked the spear up moving it around he sometimes liked practicing with it in the middle of his room

Torvil smiled and watched him, checking out his form.

Surion eventually just closed his eyes as he moved it, blocking everything around him out

"Watch you're right side..." Torvil murmured.

Surion stopped and opened his eyes "What dad?"

Torvil pointed at the small hole in Surion's blocking. "Right side..."

Surion looked and nodded moving again and kept going for about a half hour when he finally stopped "Think we are able to put the furniture back now?"

Torvil nodded. "Yeah..." He murmured softly.

Surion leaned the spear against the wall and started moving things pushing them across the room

Torvil helped, moving things where Surion had wanted them moved.

Surion looked around when they were done and nodded "There all done"

Torvil nodded and headed out of the room. "Yeah... I'm gonna go start dinner..."

"All right dad" Surion said and dropped onto his bed closing his eyes to relax
