Ack! I hate it when the artist is delayed, but doesn't let me know. I've had to PM several people and remind them that I have a trade out with them.
One of the most frustrating was one where I ordered a shaded sketch, but a few days latter when she PMed me asking the details on it, I asked her if I could change my order to a colored pencil drawing. She said it was alright, she hadn't started on the picture yet, so I went ahead and paid for a colored pencil drawing becuase she gave me the go ahead. About 2 months later and after an inquiry, I ended up getting a shaded sketch. *twitch*
I actually have a few trades out where the artist has disappeared. They haven't signed in a looong time ;;_;;

Luckily I haven't had any problems like that, since most of the stuff I order is done fairly quickly.
Although I did win a gorgeous CG from someone and so did another friend of mine, and then she just disappeared and never came back on Gaia -__-;;
And I've had people back out on doing commissions for me before because they can't draw something on my avatar, but normally they'll tell me and then cancel the trade, so that I at least know why it's being cancelled.

Anyone who's seen my gallery would probably notice that I always get myself drawn with demon horns.
This morning, at 6:00 AM EST, I finally bought a pair.

Yeah, I love my horns as well. I would wear them as long and pointy, but then I couldn't wear the kitty. So oh well.

I can't with the hat. I have to put the Kitty on my head last...and you have to equip the tall horns last...
If I equip the tall horns while the kitty is on my head, the kitty hides under my hat.

It's the same with my fishing hat. But I really really like the long horns, so I just drag my kitty around ^^
