Moonkit crept out after her, feeling guilty about leaving the nursery without Silvertail's permission. Still, it would have killed her to have not left the nursery. The curiosity was just something she couldn't handle.
So she waited behind Silvertail, listening to them both. Her feet beneath her chest, she closed her eyes and took in all of the sound around her. Everyones' hushed mews, Torrentstar padding away, and any other cat's paws that walked on the ground through the camp.

((ok guess what you guys! I'm taking over another character!!! blaugh gonk
well temporarily anyway. Nightmare giraff is going to be away for the week and she gave me permission to rp her character Dragoneyes, so bear with me i sent a pm to bridge about it. So let's get this show on the road! (finally) btw when i rp Dragoneyes it will be in green mrgreen ok thankyou ))
Dragoneyes nodded back to Torrenstar in respect and then to Dampfoot. As soon as Torrenstar turned and left she began to turn and leave in the opposite direction signaling Lightpaw to do the same. She could see that that was all they could get accomplished at this time. And perhaps it would be easier to discuss the issue at the gathering. She walked a bit ahead of Lightpaw, feeling her way with her paws. Uncomfortable again as she stepped through the muddy, wet, ground heading towards Windclan Territory without looking back.
Lightpaw followed close behind Dragoneyes. Calm still but thoughtful. She was curious to go to the gathering. But at the same time she was even more anxious to find out the stat her clan was in. Was their leader even in condition to make the journey to four trees? She wondered what would happen now that Windclan had Sandpaw on their territory, in their camp. What would the other clans think when they found out about this? Lightpaw's head was filled wiith so many questions she was losing heer focus and barely even noticed the terribly uncomfortable feeling off stepping in cold mud and getting her fur wet. Something in which the Riverclan cats seemed tolove so much. She scrunched up her face and snapped back to reality, storing her questions in the back of her head for later.

Torrentstar went to the middle of the camp. He sat and saw the enchanting full moon begin to rise in the dark sky. His eyes were wide with wonder and thought. He made the gathering call. The deep throaty MREow he knew so well. He watched as the cats began to gather silently, and he smirked a sly cat's smirk. "I call upon all cats old enough to hunt from the river's torrent to gather round! A gathering will be held tonight! And at it we will be discussing the young apprentice Sandpaw's fate. Only a few will come. Those who's name I call step out and wait for my instruction...." He waited for them to all gather round before calling the names. He realized that even with all the clan members present Riverclan was not very big. He nodded to his clan members and then began. "Dampfoot." She was his most trusted warrior. He had very serious thoughts of making her deputy. "Hawkfire." He was a young warrior in much need of experience and this would help him get it. "And lastly, Sunfeather." He simply could not take one sibling without the other. "Those of you who have not been called... I want you to protect the remaining clan as much as you would on any other night. Be safe, and may Starclan watch over you while we are gone." Torrentstar began to walk away towards the entrance of the camp. The moon was higher in the sky. They would have to be brisk in their steps. Thankfully there was only four of them. But then again it was the majority of the clan. He closed his eyes and internally sighed. Their clan was so small. He said a small prayer to Starclan from inside his head that the 3 staying behind tonight would be safe and that Riverclan's small population would never be it's downfall. He opened his eyes and put on a serious face as he started to move again and signaled the assigned cats to follow as he made his exit out of the camp.
((ok now... those of you who have been called can from now on go to the gathering forum to post. I'll make our entrance and from there ppost what ever you feel. You can intermingle with other clans or talk amongst yourselves. Gatherings are for experience as much as they are for importance to the story and plot we are Rping to. So keep track of what happens and the other clans and cats that are there. Cats that are remaining in camp... you can continue to rp here. I'll rp silvertail still so you have something to do in the other cats absence. Also i'm going to pm hallowrise and see if she'll come back to the clan ;_; we need more cats ....ok have fun guys ^_^

Moonkit sighed a hollow sigh. She knew that her name would not be called for this gathering, but she longed for a small taste of what the other clans were like. Were the Thunderclan cats as big and strong as they were always told to be? Were the Shadowclan cats really as kniving and menacing as in the stories that told of them? And could the Windclan cats truly run as fast as a rabbit could leap? All of these questions would have to be answered when she could go to a gathering... And how she longed to do so. Padding up to Silvertail, she mewed with her blue eyes bright, "Can we go to sleep now?" It was probably the first time she had ever asked the question to Silvertail, or any cat for that matter. She wanted to dream of what the gathering would be like. The sights, the scents, the emotions... All of it seemed very exciting to her. Without waiting for an answer, she hastily padded to the nursery, making sure that the brambles didn't tug at her fur like they had so many times before.

(( well it'll be the same for Silvertail. hopefully the gathering won't take too long. It's seems to be moving along nicely anyway...I'm thinking of making another character we need more cats in Riverclan and that'll give us more to do.))
Silvertail just smiled at Moonkit. She was tired but she wouldn't sleep when there weren't that many cats in the camp. Perhaps Beesting would take shifts with her? She followed Moonkit into the nursery and sat down next to where the little kit decided to lay. She licked her ears lovingly and gently groomed her kit to sleep. It was late for her anyway, and tomorow would surely be an exciting day. Silvertail grew tired and against her will closed her sleepy eyes. But before she fell asleep she prayed to Starclan that the gathering would go well and that the cats left in camp would be safe. And she also prayed for Sandpaw. Stuck in another clan somewhere. She prayed that he was ok and that he would return soon.

((Hey RiverClan, I thought I'd help you guys out by making a character for this clan. Please welcome.... *drumroll* Rainfur!))
Rainfur stayed where he was when the meeting had ended. He knew he wasn't going to the gathering, but he decided to stay up. He glanced around camp, scanning the quiet area. He spotted Silvertail nestled close by Moonkit and he smiled.
She's such a good mother to her...and Moonkit isn't even her kit!
Rainfur let his eyes rest on the two sleeping cats and then realized he needed to watch camp. He got up and sat closer to the entrance of camp, making sure no cat got through without him knowing. But he couldn't help wondering what it was like to have a family. He couldn't remember much of his past, only stories from the elders who had already passed on to StarClan.

((well just for you Cupid ima have Mooneye make an entrance 4laugh just cuz you know... everything's so boring right now p.s. my apologies. And btw for those of you that just noticed this after coming back from the gathering, refer to the first page of Riverclan to read about my NEW CHARACTER blaugh eheheh sweatdrop all for the love of my clan...))
Mooneye stepped out from the shadows. She could tell it was night and she could tell what night it was. Something in the air was different on gathering days. She had kept to herself all day and night while the rest of the clan fussed over Sandpaw and the intruding clan cats. She as always had her own opinions and thoughts about the whole situation. But wasn't in the mood to get involved. She knew she wouldn't be chosen to go to the gathering so she stayed away then too. She was alone most of the time, halfly because of her bad attitude towards other cats and halfly because she didn't want others to judge her because of her outspoken personality despite her 'elder' title. But deep down she wanted more than anything to be a warrior. A regular warrior able to do everything and anything a normal young cat could do like all the others her age. She grumbled to herself as she passed by the nursery, no one was awake any longer she could hear them sleeping inside. Their slow even breathing. Their tails twitching unconsciously. She could feel prey in the distance. Birds settling into their nests. Frogs croaking for the last few moments before moonhigh. And she could hear the river. Loud and clear. It was the thing that gave her most comfort. Even though she was an outcast and didn't fit in well in her clan. She was glad she was born a Riverclan cat, for if she hadn't, then she probably would never had had this much time to admire and find comfort in the river. Mooneye decided to stay outside tonight instead of going into the elder den. She didn't like that place anyway. It reminded her of her condition. She layed beneath the stars she couldn't see as close to the river as she could and still be in the camp and fell asleep with barely a sound.

No matter how hard she tried, Moonkit just couldn't go to sleep. Letting out a long sigh, she looked at the full moon, glowing like the sun's reflection on a puddle. She couldn't supress a low purr that rumbled deep in her chest when she saw that sight. For some reason, the moon always calmed her. Making sure not to wake Silvertail, she sat up and simply stared, her tail curled delicately over her paws. It was nice, just sitting and watching the moon. Placing her paws under her chest, she continued to watch the moon.

idk where I'm supposed to be right now, so I'll just.. go along with the gathering.. D: ]
Without portraying it, Dampfoot felt a rush of pride at being picked to attend the gathering.
She raised her tail gracefully and gave Torrentstar a smooth nod of thanks, a slightly smile turning up the corners of her mouth.
When it was asked of her, she rose and trotted placidly after her leader into the open arms of the night, heading for the gathering.

Hawkfire brightened, his ears perked up. The gathering! He and his sister were chosen! The tom purred proudly, then waited at the enterance for his sister.
Sunfeather darted in, the huge water vole still in her jaws. "I heard Torrentstar!" She whispered to her brother excitedly. She threw her catch on the fresh kill pile and ran off to the gathering, Hawkfire in pursuit.

Rainfur yawned. He was getting tired of waiting in camp and he wished he could go to the gathering. He wanted more than anything to be outside of camp, but he knew no one else was awake to be on guard. With another bored yawn, he looked up to the stars. The clear sky above told him that the gathering was going well, and the rest of RiverClan would be home soon. Except Sandpaw. Rainfur sent a silent prayer to StarClan in hopes that Sandpaw would come safely.
Maybe WindClan brought Sandpaw with them to the gathering... I hope he's alright. It must feel weird, sleeping in the open WindClan territory. Don't worry Sandpaw! We'll get you back!
His claws dug into the ground. If he had to, he would fight to bring Sandpaw home.

Torrentstar was completely dissatisfied by the gathering. Nothing had been accomplished and his apprentice was still not back. He walked ahead of the three cats he had chosen to take to the gathering and entered the Riverclan camp, tired, but vexed. He only noticed Rainfur in the corner of his eye as he passed and suddenly felt guilty for being in such a tense mood when he had a whole clan to inform. The gathering had probably been dissettling to more than just him. Sandpaw was a Riverclan apprentice and was just as important to everyone else in the clan as he was to him. Torrenstar sat in the middle of the silent camp and waited for the rest of the cats that had come from the gathering to enter the camp. He looked at them all in apology and grief. "As you all have probably noticed, the gathering wasn't very ... helpful." He gazed out towards the horizon. The rays of first light were just peaking through the reeds. "I'll call a clan gathering before sunhigh and discuss with you all my plans, but for now you should all try to get some sleep. It has been a very long day." He flicked his tail signaling that they were dismissed and approached Rainfur. "Thankyou, Rainfur for watching over the clan in our absence." He mewed and sighed. "Things are getting harder for us as the light hours pass." He yawned and headed for his den.

Rainfur's pelt bristled. "You're welcome, but why isn't Sandpaw with you? What is WindClan doing to him?" he scraped his claws against the dirt. He couldn't possibly wait until the clan gathering. He and Sandpaw were always close and it pained Rainfur to see his friend in another clan.
