A few men helped Pent up as the medic walked up to him to examine his face. Yori was long gone.

Pent moaned as they moved him, his body too sore to move. his mind was blank, his power had worn him dry.

The men brought in a stretcher and laid Pent down on it, bringing him out in front of the Inn and into the ambulance. Yori watched from across the street.

Pent didn;t move, his body wouldn;t respond any longr to any of the signals in his brain.

They loaded him up and drove off. Yori watched as it disappeared behind a building.

the nurses had to give Pent a breathign mask and plug in IVs as he was to weak to breathe, tho9ugh his heart was still beating weakly. he had over exerted himself and worn his power away too quickly and now he ws on the verge of death.

Yori stared into the sunset. a single tear ran down his cheeks. he stood there several minutes before turning and walking to his house.

When they got there they rushed Pent to the intensive care, keeping him there as they checked his heart and made sure he was okay. luckily he didn;t seem to be badly hurt.

"Yori!" shaon cried running into the streets. "Yori where are you?" she cried.

Yori head his name, but didn't run to the voice, instead he hid in the shadows. waiting to see the person calling him.

Shaon stumbled along the streets, wiping the tears from her eyes as she called him, one hand around her torso, the other to her head as she tried to wipe the tears away.

"why are you crying" Yori asked as he stepped out of the shadows, surprised she was showing any emotions at all.

"What!? WHEN?!? WHERE!?" Yori knew ben was trying to crack SHaons shell, but he didn't know he would make this much progress this short of time. But right now, none of that mattered.

shaon covered her head, quickly regaining senses. "Stop yelling at me!" she snapped. "he's proably with Altair right now and we need to get him out!" she ignored his last comments of keeping herself safe. she wasn;t going to let him die.
