Kanna growled at the strange person that seemed so intent on causing her physical harm that he had to be held back by three people. She was only joking... for the most part. She liked the birdboy really... but she wanted to see if he could regrow his wings.

Hijima watched from the sidelines as the last of the water Midou caused, fell from the sky and rippled into the pool of ocean water. "He gave up," he said under his breath as he rested on a railing.

Kanna wiggled in Shukoshu's arms. "I want to fight someone." she said irritably. "Why won't anyone fight me?" she began to cry in frustration.

Haru looked up with a small smile. "Yeah, I'll be alright. It's just--" she hesitated a moment, as if slightly embarrassed. "I can't seem to remember what happened at the end there. I know I was up to the second level, and that I was getting frustrated because I was still having a hard time getting at this guy... but what happened? Am I out of the tournament?"

Haru was pleased that she made it to the next round, but was still confused about her sudden memory lapse and now her opponent's forfeit.

"I am not sure. Perhaps you should ask him when you get the chance." Ganjou smiled at her. "And do not worry about your not remembering. It's normal for one who has used stage two in battle for the first time."

Karu sighed. "Very well, if I'm to fight Kanna..." He jumped down, hovering an inch or so above the surface, arms crossed. "I'm ready."

An ANBU appeared. "If both contestants would acknowledge one another."

Karu bowed respectfully. "Well, I wasn't expecting to face you straight off, Miss Yajuu, but I'll do my best." He straightened. "Also, congratulations on your 'condition'."

The ANBU looked over at Kanna, assuming she would be ready at a moments notice. "Begin." He said simply before vanishing.

Karu smirked. With her advanced senses, this should be particularly devastating. He glanced up at the sky, smiling. "I do believe it's going to rain." At these words, Kanna's vision would blur, and her senses would be filled with the overwhelming sight, sound, feeling, smell, and even taste, of blood, as the liquid poured from the sky, drenching her and Karu in it.
He floated backwards away from her, the effects of the genjutsu producing a blurred effect as he moved.

Ganjou looked through the openings at the sound of a match starting. "Hm, Karu just seems to be standing there."

As the effects of the illusion passed over her Kanna's pupils automatically contracted into slits. She fell to all fours on the water and tried to remain upright as her breath came in heavy strokes and her muscles convulsed and her nerves screamed. 'Not good...' she thought to herself as her senses took in that wonderful sensation. '...Need focus... Need to kill him first... They won't... Can't have... No! Stop it!... It feels so good... Need to hold on longer... Just bathe in it... Can't keep control... This is bliss... Just... Just...'
Her mind cut out.
Kanna let loose an incredible roar from her throat as she shot across the water like a bullet, an animal with only a single thing to do... Kill.
Her senses were confused enough as it was but that really didn't matter. She could taste Karu's chakra, she had taken particular note to memorize it after the first exam. She followed the same path that he did so the blurring was nothing but something to collide with.
