Lucas swept in and wrapped his arms around her waist. Pulling her close he chuckled, kissing her cheek before just holding her close to him. "Now, now, I didn't say you couldn't sleep in my bed... Quite the opposite, I would like to have you there more often... Last night was... well to put it bluntly, amazing."
Nuzzling her hair he sighed contently, it was strange, he elt like he was younger again.

Tinania laughs allowing the dress to slip from her arms. Turning in his arms she lifts her hand to poke at his nose lightly "Be careful Luc, your gonna get addicted from the sounds of it. And in the end you might just fall for me." she was teasing with him, but at the same time part of her was scared still.
She had a huge brick wall up, and it was going to take a bit for that wall to come down.

Lucas chuckled and leaned in, stealing a kiss. He held it for a time before pulling away. "You make that sound like a bad thing..." He murmured deeply looking into her eyes. "I'm in line for a bit of luck..."
Rolling his shoulders a little he smiled, and leaned in to kiss her again.

Tinania bites at his bottom lip before she pulls back looking into his eyes. Looking away she bites at her own bottom lip "Luc, promise me something. Promise me that you won't fall head first into this? You know trying to spoil me." looking up at him she holds her breath for a moment.
She was opening herself to him, and by doing so she was allowing herself to get hurt.

Lucas looked down into her eyes, his smile slowly starting to fade from his face. "What could I spoil you with... I'm a poor ranger who makes enough to feed himself and his pets..." Letting her go he walked by her and flopped down onto the couch. "I bought this house after four years of serving the Rangers, and that was when they could pay me... Free Haven is not a wealthy village, the only thing keeping us from living in hovels is that we don't pay any taxes to the Lord of Fair Haven...."
Looking at her he smiled. "So no need to worry about being spoiled... I couldn't do that even if I wanted to... Frankly though, it's a little early for that."

Tinania takes a seat next to him. Slipping her hand into his she shakes her head "Lucas I don't want to be spoiled, not at all. Not now or ever again. I want a man who just wants to be with me, no someone who will buy me stuff for love." looking away she reaches over pulling her sketch book form her bag.
Flipping a few pages she pauses before she holds the sketch book towards him "This is my ex, his name was Surion. He spoiled me with everything. Everything I want, I got. In the end when I told him I didn't want children I think that is what sent him on his way. He wants kids now, I don't. I want them later, but right now I just want to enjoy my life and train myself to become a better priestress in healing." sighing she closes her eyes.
"But now I will never have my own children, as it seems I will never find a man who wants a child."

Lucas looked at Tinania for a moment totally silent. He ran his thumb over the back of her hand as she talked, and when she told him about her want of children in the future and of Surion he nodded his head slowly.
"You shouldn't be having kids at your age anyway... You're barely twenty if that..." Lucas knew she was young, twenty one at the most, he thought he remembered her giving her age to him when they were fighting, but honestly most of the fighting he'd blocked out of his mind.
"To be honest... I don't want children until I know I can give them a home to be proud of... Not bastards either... I want them to know their mother... And me." Looking at Tinania he shook his head.
"But I'm really not the marrying type you know? Women don't want men who work all the time, and can spend weeks.... Even months away from home during the Winter rangings..."

Tinania looks up at Lucas with a smile "I'm use to men working. Surion did, we both worked. I wouldn't mind having a guy working so long as I know he was coming back home to me." looking away she stands wrapping her arms around her waist "I guess I'm not destiny to be happy, married and with kids. That dream of mine died." with a small shrug she sighs.
Shaking her head she put on the mask she wore often when she was sad. Looking back at him she smiles before she chuckles "So shall we go fix that dinner of yours?"

"One usually doesn't go about saying their dream has died and then asking about dinner..." Lucas said, eying Tinania for a moment. Shaking his head slowly he placed a hand on her shoulder lightly.
Slowly he stood and moved to in front of her leaning down to look into her eyes. "I'd ask if you want to talk about it, but I'm not sure you do... So I will just go reheat dinner..." He moved to the plates he'd set out, and picked them up, heading to the kitchen to warm them.

Tinania watches Lucas walk away before she shakes her head. Slipping onto the bed she lays on her side curling up under the covers. Closing her eyes she shook her head. She didn't understand why she kept trying to push Lucas away, the moment he got close she would push him away again.
Tinania coughs before she swore to herself. She knew why, she knew she could fall for him. She could feel herself already even now, being drawn to him. That scares the hell out of her.

It didn't take long for dinner to be reheated. "Dinners up!" Lucas called from the kitchen, moving to a small table he had stashed in the corner of the room he sat, and put his plate down. He would wait until Tinania showed up again before eating, it was only fair.
He closed his eyes and rested his forehead on his hands, thinking about what had happened over the past day. Sighing deeply he tried to focus on what he had on his hands.
What am I going to do...

Sitting up Tinania push her hand through her hair. Looking down at the bed she sighs before slipping out of it. Brushing her jeans off she makes her way into the kitchen. leaning against the wall she watches him before biting at her bottom lip "Your mad at me again?"

Lucas looked up at her and sighed shaking his head. "Not mad... Just... annoyed that you are not being open with me. I understand that it might be... Hard for you, but I don't like it when people try to hide things from me."
Poking at his food he didn't really feel like eating.

Tinania looks down at her feet shaking her head "Lucas I'm broken, thus I'm scared of letting people in. When I even get close to allowing someone into me I see him." looking up at Lucas she bottom lip was trembling "I see Surion, I see him disappearing and never coming back. Its a nightmare that still haunts me even though I let him go." shaking her head she walks over taking his hand.
Placing it over her heart she looks down at him "When I'm around you, whether we're fighting, or just enjoying each other company. My heart beats to fast, I fear I could fall for you. When I think about that, he reappears in my head blocking any chance I have because he brings that fear back. I don't know how to get rid of that fear other then to replace it. But I don't want to get into something that could destroy me and the other." falling quiet she closes her eyes.

Lucas looked up at her, and he smiled. "Then you'll just have to beat the fear." He ran a finger across the back of her hand. "You may not be able to forget, but give it some time and you'll be able to take a brave foot forwards."
